Mumbai Indian Kitchen in Southampton

Well we didn't go, because it's a takeaway, but Mumbai have been consistently good for maybe a dozen deliveries so far ... and I can't see why we'd stop ordering. OK we walked past once and couldn't resist it, so the jolly crew cooked for us to take home (they're pretty quick)

Never had a bad takeaway from this place. Lovely food!

The tast was not good. The quality of food was also mediocre. It was not fresh

The good wasn't great quality, I ordered prawn puri, a lamb passanda and keema rice plus some onion bhajis. The lamb meat was tough and the onion bhajis seemed like that had been left out for a while as they were hard to bite into. The sauce in the passanda tasted nice but the yoghurt on top had clearly been left there a while as well. As for the prawn puri, the puri was very very chewy/tough and I could barely get my knife through it. The prawns with the sauce were fine though. Overall I will not be ordering from here again.

Food was awful. Under cooked chicken, Masala sauce that was like tomato puree mixed with a little sugar and just really poor. Took longer to get here than promised too.

Had a few meals from here but curry tonight was disappointing, chicken was small pieces which were tough, the madras sauce lacked spice. The rice was very nice as was the park paneer. Hopefully just an off day....

I ordered chicken tikka masala and it was really oily and watery, and my boyfriend had rogan josh which was extremely spicy and yellowish in colour. Overall very dissatisfied, delivery time was ridiculous and disappointed with the result.

I've ordered from here quite a lot and it's always been good. But today was really disappointing. The Pathia was so hot it was inedible, it was insanely spicy. The palak paneer was very bland as well. Shame, not up to the usual standard of this place.

This was by far the best Indian we've tried in Southampton! Really tasty, well cooked food that arrived quickly and the delivery guy was friendly even though it was raining.

It was 15 minutes late . I understand it was New Year's Eve , the food was warm , very tasteless , not enough sauce , so was not eaten !!!

We exclusively order from this restaurant for our Indian takeaway meals. Authentic flavours, high quality ingredients and a delicious selection of meals to choose form. They always deliver as quickly as then can - we've often received meals within 20 minutes of ordering and the delivery drivers are always polite and cheerful. By far my favourite Indian restaurant in the whole of Hampshire!

Slow delivery but the food was very good and great value set meal. We even received extra items which weren't mentioned otherwise.

Food took two hours with no reason for the delay given. Food itself was bland and unimpressive - definitely not worth the 2 hour wait!

Sorry but didn't find it very nice

Food arrived on time and was hot. We ordered chicken tikka jalfrezi and palak paneer for mains with some side orders with garlic rice. The food all tasted nice, but maybe a bit heavy on the oil. And the chutneys didn't have a lot of flavour. Although the mains were tasty enough and the chicken packed a good amount of heat. Great value with the 20% off as the food portions were quite large. And some extras seem to have been added which was kind of them, hence the 6 stars. we're suckers for free stuff.

Although positive in the past, tonight the meal was delayed and cold; the Lamb Karahi had virtually nothing but onion (5 small pieces of lamb in a main meal, one of which was just fat and gristle) - lamb tikka starter was burnt and dry. The Chicken Massala was lovely and what I would expect, but very disappointed overall. Would like a chance to try you again but will need persuading

Hi no manager on site so was unable to get a refund. I orderd a chicken tikka masala and a korma plus rice onion baji samosas nann breads popper dams pickles etc. The food was extremely spicy it burned our mouths off however restrant was rude and abusive and would not answer the phone. My poor children could not eat the food and we're crying through it being very very spicy. I don't know what went wrong DO NOT ORDER. How can a restrant not have a manager. Lucky enough just eat gave me a voucher. I will never ever order again be warned people these the of curries r supposed to be sweet and mild not severely hot and spicey

This is our usual takeaway - it is normally very quick, hearty and great value for money. However, the sauce to meat ratio was very disappointing on this occasion. The food was over half an hour late (the delivery driver - same as usual - was very nice and apologetic, he's great), but I certainly did not appreciate the attitude of who ever took my call when I called to ask where the food was when it was ten minutes late (seeing as it is usually 20 minutes early!). I was told that the order didn't go through until quarter past 8, so there was no way my food was late (despite me receiving "the orders in the bag" email at 1950. I felt that perhaps had they instead apologised and told me that they were very busy that would have been fine rather than trying to make it appear as if it was my fault and that I was simply being impatient. I was very disappointed with the customer service for this reason.

Quality food albeit not the speediest delivery. Their keema naan is one of the best I've had, and the free bombay potatoes was a nice addition.

Great food, but was over an hour!

Tonight I had a chicken korma delivered.. Once plated up I took my first mouthful to find it was freezing cold with raw chicken! Rung up to simply tell them not to complain.. The response I got was ''there is nothing we can do as the manager is not in, I will get him to give you a call" I then received a phone call from the same person 10 minutes later to tell me again "the manager has said there is nothing we can do"!! Very poor customer service with absolutely degrading food quality! I hope I'm not ill....

Food was luke warm n lamb a bit chewy but other than that all was good as we had a big order n they got it all right nice food often buy from here :)

Absolutely disgusted by the food that was brought to us, it was revolting and nothing like Indian food.

Though the meal did taste nice , I didn't get the chicken tikka masarla that I ordered , I received a different one. Didn't complain as you have to give everything new a try to see if you like it... Complete different taste then the masarla and the bright redness of it because it looked like blood was off putting.... I gave it a good go trying to eat it as it didn't taste that bad it was just a lot spicier then I wanted... And I had spent my last bit of money on it... A few hours later I had bad pains in my belly and was stuck on the toilet while vomiting at the same time... I have gotten food poisoning from this order and am only feeling better today.... Not happy

Tasteless and ended up throwing in the bin after few mouthfuls, never again disgusting

i have been looking for sometime for a good Indian and Mumbai excells itself the food was outstanding portion size was huge plenty of it.The spice was superb even my sister who is not an indian food fan loved it. i would highly reccommend this place to anyone. The delivery driver was so pleasant and well mannered. the quality of the meat and veg is superb melts like butter in your mouth very pleased
