It was very quiet only two tables occupied. However our waitress olivia was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was very good and enjoyed the beer flight was good. Probably one of the best nans I have had.

Our server was Sumin and she was absolutely brilliant, food was great. Would highly recommend.

The food was sooo goood, it really exceeded our expectations. Our server Olivia was absolutely amazing, so friendly and attentive! We would definitely visit again, and kudos to Olivia for being so friendly and pleasant ❤️ loved the whole vibe & experience.

Service from Sameeksha was great and very friendly, and the food was perfect, not long to wait for it and it was very tasty… and the beer was also great, from a local brewery in Portsmouth. 10/10

Fingers licking food… tasted same as Indian food… we would love to visit again..we tried keema and palak chicken with Garlic naan and they were the best combination. Food was so yum that we forgot to take pictures 😃

Well priced and delicious food! It started to get very busy while we were there (approx 6-7pm on a Saturday night). They had the football on and every table was full. Nice atmosphere and satff were great. Would return!

Food here is delicious, quality and very consistent. We eat here often while attending the quiz and there is something for everyone. Service is great (Shrushti was brilliant tonight) and management are always welcoming 😊

Good selection of beers and clearly marked with the ones that are gluten free. Food is decent and is served very quickly. I ordered chicken tikka (which wasn't served with anything despite menu saying served on a bed of onions) but I thought the chicken was a bit overbooked. Chicken was dry so I'm glad I ordered the raita. The raita was served in what looked like a plant pot but there was a lot of it They have a coeliac menu which is great for those with Gluten allergens or intolerances but the main menu is also marked up which is great to see. I think if I'm looking for a quick dinner I'll be back, but there are better places for a decent curry. Staff were very attentive and served our large group very quickly.

Absolutely love this place. The staff are amazing. Always a great beer selection and the wine is really nice too. We had the Christmas menu and it was all so nice. Definitely one of our favourite places to go.

The food was so nice, I especially enjoyed the butter chicken curry, and the fried fish taste different from the traditional English fried fish, it has some Indian spices in it which made it more delicious.

Our favourite place to eat. Unfortunately we live near Bournemouth so it's a little journey to come everyone, but it's 100% worth it. The food is always 10/10 and actual Indian food - not the rubbish most Indian takeaways produce (my Indian partner lovessss it here). The staff are always friendly and on point with service. The only thing I have to ask..... please please please open one in Bournemouth so I can come more 🙏

We had lunch, on a Wednesday. They just opened for lunch and was welcomed in. The service was amazing very friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious the best naan breads, so light. Not like the ones I'm use too. The samosa chaat so good. I would go back again when I'm visiting Southampton see and take Auntie out for lunch.

Visited for food on Monday (based on a friend’s recommendation) and will certainly be coming back, the food was great as were the drinks - we didn’t know that Monday is the weekly quiz night, but we got involved and the quiz was amazing (we did well on TV Catchphrases, not so well on art and books) - had already decided to come back but will start to make it a regular Monday Curry & Quiz night - A+

Went today for lunch in Southampton. Food was EXCELLENTit was a Monday lunch so quite quiet. We had a mixed grill for 2 people with mild curry sauce and hot curry sauce and nan bread. Meats were delicious and plenty to eat. Sauces were to die for we finished them with a spoon like a soup 😋. We would definitely return if back in Southampton . 10/10 forgot to take photograph before but here’s a photo of leftovers 🤣

Came in just for a drink, they've got excellent selection of IPA, lagers and canned beers. Next time will try their food, it smelled amazing and looked tasty.

Lovley food! Came down from London to visit family, enjoyed a nice meal at Tap and Tandoor. All was great, untill I was accompanied by a young man who came to enquire how the food was. After mentioning that the food was pleasant. He insisted on giving him a tip. I tipped him £5 and he said it wasn’t enough. Then tried to persuade me, by mentioning I would get a free drink, if I did. Quite a strange young man. Quite slim, small gentleman. I may visit again, hopefully will be seen to by another member of staff on my next visit. Good place overall.

Now as a rule i only leave a review in the event of something exceptional and therefore i feel compelled to write this. Firstly the food we both ordered was really really good witht he exception of the onion bhajis which had been cooked well past their best and were non too good however my chicken tandoor and wifes king prawns and the other items were really good and plentiful. However there was an amazing waitress by the name of Olivia who was just outstandingly good at her job and worthy of great praise. Excellent customer service and for a young girl just impeccable manners and friendliness. I will repeat myself on the 'impeccable manners' . An outstanding staff member and the owners at Tap and Tandoor should be greatly aware you have a massive assett on your payroll. I would therefore insist @Tap that you fully praise Olivia for her dedication and would suggest you are underpaying her given how she represents your business. Try and sort out the Bhaji's girl for next time for next time. Thank You Olivia. You are a credit to your parents.

We had a meal for my husband’s 50th birthday so there was a big group of us and the staff were amazing, so attentive, always checking if we needed more drinks. Food was so delicious, this is definitely the tastiest place to eat in Southampton. My favourite restaurant without a doubt.

I've been here a few times now, and the food and service have always been great. The food has always come out quickly, and it has been hot and tasty. The Tandoori mixed grill is really good. They also have a good selection of craft beers to choose from.

Whenever we are in Portsmouth or Southampton we go to Tap and Tandor. The food is excellent and good value.
