I currently live in Thailand, where Indian food is absolutely top-notch, so my standards are pretty high. I visited Tap & Tandoori in hopes of finding a great Indian restaurant in the UK—and it did not disappoint! Everything I tried was delicious, but the standout for me was the Chicken Palak—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also had the samosa and chicken tikka, both of which were excellent. The cocktails here are just as impressive. I tried the “Sugar and Spice,” their Indian twist on an Old Fashioned, and it was fire—a perfect balance of bold and smooth flavors. Big shoutout to my server, Sumin, who was incredibly kind and attentive. Great food, amazing drinks, and fantastic service—I would absolutely recommend Tap & Tandoori.

We popped in for a late night snack after some drinks/day clubbing. Waitress was Sameeksha and friendly and attentive. Food portion was really good and tasty. Shame we don't have one closer to Reading where we live. Would def return

Had a craving for Indian food and I went there with my Wife .just love the food, service and environment 💝. Our server was Awesome,she has a good taste of Conversation. Overall we were treated nicely by the Managers also . They were super nice. Had a good time 💝

Came to Southampton for the weekend and went to tap & tandoor for our first meal out , as soon as we entered I knew it was going to be the best curry I had ever had and it was, everything we ordered was amazing, can’t rate highly enough.

We called in last night having read about this restaurant online, and it did not disappoint. We had a warm welcome and Sumin our server was friendly and helpful. We had a delicious meal - lots of vegetarian options for me. The onion bhaji were the best we have ever had - so crisp and delicious! I thoroughly recommend Tap and Tandoori!

I do enjoy the indi pub notion. The beer battered onion rings are good. The pilau rice was not aromatic and the mint raita wasn't minty. The chicken curry didn't have much flavour. The naan sliders the coriander raita was very salty the meat seekh kebab was unlike any seekh kebab I have ever seen and it was dry. The only flavours coming through were cumin, salt and pepper. It was not all that appetising the taste was off at least It was sensibly priced. The staff are impatiently waiting to take your plates. I wouldn't bother to book a table as they expect a payment but its not that good.

Served by Sumin, friendly and efficient Reliable, tasty food. Great onion bhaji and good choice of beer. Try it.

Great restaurant for both gluten free and coeliac, they have a completely separate menu for coeliacs and take it very seriously. Incredible food. 4/5 for atmosphere as WiFi is bad.

Sumin was amazing with her service made the experience a 10/10. She was so fast and observant with us to make sure we had the best time. We came in at 7:30 and had our food, drinks, paid and left by 20:10, never seen anything so fast.

Best most authentic Indian food in Hampshire. Absolutely delicious, the chops, wings, lamb curry and naan were all 10/10. Vidzaja was our server and she was very attentive and great customer service. Can’t wait until we come back

Great meal for two, early table without a booking. Had some well cooked and presented dishes, best onion bhaji for miles. All dishes packed with flavours and spices and innovative takes on the naan slider and the samosa chaat. Service was first class prompt and courteous. Food was quick and hot but no pressure to eat and leave. Waitress was excellent, attentive and welcoming. Shout out to Sameeksha.

Loved my repeat visits to Tap and Tandoor during my business trip to Southampton! Their Indian food totally lives up to the hype - authentic flavors that made every meal something to look forward to. Sameeksha was my server most days and really made dining alone pleasant with her friendly smile and attentive service. The perfect reliable spot when you're traveling solo and want a satisfying meal without any fuss.

Dragged here by a boy, ended up loving it. Seems more drink focussed than food, but food was tasty and naan was fresh. Football on the TV, but most people seemed engaged in their conversations. Our server Vidzja was wonderful - happy, helpful, and on hand whenever we needed anything.

The butter chicken curry was the best curry I had ever had! Not too spicy and not too mild. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic meal, there lamb curry was so tender and highly recommended. Our group really enjoyed the meal and amazed by how quick the food comes out. Everybody enjoyed the meal and impressed. Need to add poppadoms to the menu though 😆

Our first time eating at Tap & Tandoor it will not be our last. The onion bajies were off the scale the food was excellent and the beer was very good I especially liked how you could order a selection of taster beers. Our waitress Sumin was great she gave great advice and service.

I visited Tap & Tandoor for the first time recently for my partners birthday meal. The whole party enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and service very much. A quick mention to Olivia, who was on hand to make suggestions, checked on us between rounds of food and drinks and was one of the best servers I have experienced in a long time. Thank you, Tap and Tandoor and thank you Olivia!
