Eat here on my business trips, everytime!!! It never disappoints. Sumin was our server and was so attentive to our needs. 😁

Visited for food on Monday (based on a friend’s recommendation) and will certainly be coming back, the food was great as were the drinks - we didn’t know that Monday is the weekly quiz night, but we got involved and the quiz was amazing (we did well on TV Catchphrases, not so well on art and books) - had already decided to come back but will start to make it a regular Monday Curry & Quiz night - A+

Sumin provides perfect service. It's a gorgeous meal.

Southampton West Quay ‘Tap and Tandoor’: A great night at a fantastic hybrid pub-restaurant featuring craft ales, delicious curry dishes and footy on the tv. My perfect combination. I love the 4 and 6 seater high top tables as well… a great design to get the vibe going. It was busy, unsurprisingly, but the staff, led so ably by Pukash and including Hassan and Sameeahka, were very accommodating. The beer and food were delivered quickly and without fuss. Brilliant.

From the moment we arrived, Sumin provided exceptional service—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold and authentic, with perfectly spiced curries and tender grilled meats. The small plates were a great way to try a variety of dishes, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Overall, Tap & Tandoor exceeded expectations, and Sumin’s outstanding service made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Five stars. Good food, reasonable price, friendly staff. There were 6 of us, including a restless 2 year old. My own, personal, comment was that I found the menu difficult to read as the print was small and my eyesights not brilliant. Still 5 stars though.

My wife and I (who is from Kolkata), both agree this food is the real deal. She won’t normally eat so called Indian food in the UK…but she loves this place. The Daal and tandoor prawns are out of this world.

On February 14th, I visited Tap and Tandoor for an evening meal with my daughter and girlfriend. First and foremost, the service was exceptional. Our server, Sam, was attentive and professional, ensuring we were well looked after throughout the evening. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the level of authenticity I typically seek in Indian cuisine. The flavors seemed somewhat subdued, catering more to a general English palate. The lamb in the curry, for instance, had a gamier taste, reminiscent of goat, which overshadowed the spices. I would have preferred a bolder, more pronounced spice profile. Additionally, the lamb chops, while flavorful, were slightly overcooked, resulting in a somewhat dry texture. My girlfriend's butter chicken, while not entirely traditional, was the more appealing dish. I particularly enjoyed the "Papu" beer I ordered. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, largely thanks to Sam's excellent service. However, the food, while acceptable, didn't quite meet my expectations, making a return visit unlikely

Great customer service with friendly and polite staff. Food was amazing especially the onion bhajis and sharing platter. Great value for what we ordered. Was great to be able to engage in conversation without being drowned out by restaurant music. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere atmosphere, and will definitely recommend to friends. Thank you

We wanted something new for this day so we decided to try it here and it didn't disappoint. Food was superb! Staffs are approachable and very nice! Wasn't able to take any photos of the food 'cause I was starving! But they're delicious!!

Highly recommended this place if you like good beer and good food! I had the prawn curry with pilau rice and it was incredibly tasty and cooked to absolute perfection! And the service was very quick and friendly too! Couldn't ask for more - can't wait to come back!

It was very quiet only two tables occupied. However our waitress olivia was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was very good and enjoyed the beer flight was good. Probably one of the best nans I have had.

Fingers licking food… tasted same as Indian food… we would love to visit again..we tried keema and palak chicken with Garlic naan and they were the best combination. Food was so yum that we forgot to take pictures 😃

Well priced and delicious food! It started to get very busy while we were there (approx 6-7pm on a Saturday night). They had the football on and every table was full. Nice atmosphere and satff were great. Would return!
