Great evening out. Monday night is quiz night with Laurancequizmaster. Food is spot on. Quick service, great atmosphere all the staff are friendly and quiz is fun too

Popped in after going to the cinema and had a lovely meal, the service was quick and food was delightful.

We had lunch, on a Wednesday. They just opened for lunch and was welcomed in. The service was amazing very friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious the best naan breads, so light. Not like the ones I'm use too. The samosa chaat so good. I would go back again when I'm visiting Southampton see and take Auntie out for lunch.

We had a great experience; the food was amazing, nice atmosphere and we took part in the quiz which was great fun!

We go every Monday for the Quiz with Laurence. Excellent food, a friendly welcome and a great Quiz.

Visited for food on Monday (based on a friend’s recommendation) and will certainly be coming back, the food was great as were the drinks - we didn’t know that Monday is the weekly quiz night, but we got involved and the quiz was amazing (we did well on TV Catchphrases, not so well on art and books) - had already decided to come back but will start to make it a regular Monday Curry & Quiz night - A+

Went today for lunch in Southampton. Food was EXCELLENTit was a Monday lunch so quite quiet. We had a mixed grill for 2 people with mild curry sauce and hot curry sauce and nan bread. Meats were delicious and plenty to eat. Sauces were to die for we finished them with a spoon like a soup 😋. We would definitely return if back in Southampton . 10/10 forgot to take photograph before but here’s a photo of leftovers 🤣

Came in just for a drink, they've got excellent selection of IPA, lagers and canned beers. Next time will try their food, it smelled amazing and looked tasty.

Lovley food! Came down from London to visit family, enjoyed a nice meal at Tap and Tandoor. All was great, untill I was accompanied by a young man who came to enquire how the food was. After mentioning that the food was pleasant. He insisted on giving him a tip. I tipped him £5 and he said it wasn’t enough. Then tried to persuade me, by mentioning I would get a free drink, if I did. Quite a strange young man. Quite slim, small gentleman. I may visit again, hopefully will be seen to by another member of staff on my next visit. Good place overall.

Now as a rule i only leave a review in the event of something exceptional and therefore i feel compelled to write this. Firstly the food we both ordered was really really good witht he exception of the onion bhajis which had been cooked well past their best and were non too good however my chicken tandoor and wifes king prawns and the other items were really good and plentiful. However there was an amazing waitress by the name of Olivia who was just outstandingly good at her job and worthy of great praise. Excellent customer service and for a young girl just impeccable manners and friendliness. I will repeat myself on the 'impeccable manners' . An outstanding staff member and the owners at Tap and Tandoor should be greatly aware you have a massive assett on your payroll. I would therefore insist @Tap that you fully praise Olivia for her dedication and would suggest you are underpaying her given how she represents your business. Try and sort out the Bhaji's girl for next time for next time. Thank You Olivia. You are a credit to your parents.

We had a meal for my husband’s 50th birthday so there was a big group of us and the staff were amazing, so attentive, always checking if we needed more drinks. Food was so delicious, this is definitely the tastiest place to eat in Southampton. My favourite restaurant without a doubt.

I've been here a few times now, and the food and service have always been great. The food has always come out quickly, and it has been hot and tasty. The Tandoori mixed grill is really good. They also have a good selection of craft beers to choose from.

Whenever we are in Portsmouth or Southampton we go to Tap and Tandor. The food is excellent and good value.

Excellent tandoor dishes, the Hariyali chicken and Seekh kebab have become firm favourites. Great range of craft beers and ciders too.

Tap & Tandoor’s samosa chaat is fantastic! Crisp samosas with flavorful potato filling, topped with tangy chutneys, yogurt, and crunchy sev. The flavors are perfectly balanced — spicy, tangy, and sweet. A must-try for chaat lovers!

Popped in at midday for a light lunch. We shared the mixed grill and bhajis. All the food was excellent and perfect for sharing, washed down with a nice Unity pale ale. Service was good and rapid!

This was the first time at Tap & Tandoor, and we weren’t disappointed. It was quiet but a good atmosphere and very clean. Great choice of drinks and the food was amazing. Hassan and Diksha were amazing hosts too - friendly and attentive but not intrusive.

Would recommend tap&tandoor to anyone ! All the staff were so attentive and friendly, and made sure we had a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend paying the £4 on top of the mixed grill for the prawns - they were the best thing on the plate! Will definitely be visiting with friends and family again.

Very good restaurant, tasty food, good service.

Popped in without a reservation with limited time before a show we were attending. We were immediately given a table and were so well looked after it was incredible. No rushing and the food was delicious. Huge thanks to Diksha, Olivia and the kitchen team who made an impromptu visit by us a perfect reason to return again.

Had the pleasure of discovering the tap and Tandoor on a Sunday afternoon. It's has a unique layout of a social bar area with TV's if you just want a drink, and a more conventional restaurant area to the rear. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, offering us a table where ever we wanted. We chose the bar area where there is a great selection of local micro brewery beers supporting local businesses. A vast range of spirits and all the usual bottled beers and wines. We chose to eat whilst there, and were able to stay in the bar area where we were sat. The food was amazing with the usual Indian offerings, but also accompanied by some very tasty different Indian dishes and combinations. The staff were all very friend, chatty, helpful and attentive without being a nuisance. A big thanks to Olivia and Diksha for making our day very memorable and special, we will certainly be back and will definitely recommend tap and Tandoor to others. See you all again soon.

Went here with my dad for his birthday. Smashing little place, food was stunning and beautifully spiced, nice selection of ales. And considering we ordered enough food to feed 6 people it was very reasonably priced too.

It’s basically a sports bar that provides a great choice of guest ales and Indian food. Foods great, beers great and the staff are great too.

it has no reason to be one of the best indian food i’ve ever had but it is somehow. the prices are cheap and the drinks are awesome. i love the atmosphere as they play sports. it’s just such a good place

The food here was amazing! I had the daal makhani, okra fries and special naan. I'm shocked to say this, but as much as I love okra, the daal makhani stole the show! Thanks for the great meal and being so patient with your jet lagged customer!!

Last I had visited tap and tandoor was seven months ago for a birthday family celebration. Great experience, so I recently had visited again. Where I’ve encountered a bad experience here, I was approached by a skinny and short male who addressed himself as boss man. Mentioned that he was the owner and smelt of alcohol. He was a disrespectful individual. He stated if I didn’t like the food , to not come back. I believe that’s outrageous behaviour towards a customer. Very displeased, will not be back.

Tasty food and good selection of real ales and beer

Great find, we popped in for early lunch on Saturday afternoon. We sat outside and was looked after by the very polite staff and ordered drinks and food. The food was out of this world and was piping hot and all had wonderful flavours. All three of us commented on how much we enjoyed the experience. Thanks to Gaby for looking after us so well.

Absolutely first class in food and hospitality. Highly recommended. Will return here again when visiting Southampton 😊
