THE worst curry I’ve ever had. Tasteless, greasy/oily….never again.

Worst curry I have ever had. Stale potatoes in the sagaloo, the balti sauce was tasteless, oily and FULL of salt. The tarka dahl was also tasteless. After a few mouthfuls I threw the lot in the bin - utter waste of money.

Only rated four stars for atmosphere as we had delivery! Onion Bhajis didn’t come with a mint sauce as normal but really it didn’t need it. I had a Balti and my partner had a Jalfrezi and they were both good! Will be going here from now on for our takeaway nights.

I'm sorry to write a bad review as I quite liked this place. First I found a long peice of plastic in my curry (presumably rubbish), but I pulled it out, gave it the benefit of the doubt and continued. Further on into my curry I then bit into a tiny peice of chicken in my vegetarian food. Unfortunately the rest got thrown in the bin, and as a loyal customer I won't be able to eat here again. The bit of plastic is forgivable, but food contamination is unacceptable, especially as this can be costly to those with allergies.

Ordered from there website on Saturday at 6.20pm should be delivered around 7.05pm called them at 7.50pm they said they are very busy but they will send food out in 5 min. Called them again just before 9pm no one answered. Today is Sunday I am still waiting 😂 if you can not send food at least be honest and refund the money, if you are too busy to manage just stop taking orders. I have ordered from your website as I know how much commission other delivery partners take and it was a mistake!!! With deliveroo or Uber at least I would have an refund on my account.

It's been 3 hours since we ordered. I called 1hr 20 after ordering and was told food would be delivered within 5 minutes. 25 minutes later I called back and they said they would contact the driver and call me back. It's now been 3 hours since I ordered, no-one has called me back and no-one is answering the phone.

Ordered through just eat when it’s turn up, missing two is the main dishes 😡called them 4 times we called they wasn’t answering!!! Absolute fuming, £40 wasted. Now got to order something for me and my daughter so have to spend out more money !!! My husband curry turned up and he said it was horrible cold and no flavour same with the naan bread!! Never order it again

I had a delicious kohrai chicken and mushroom rice with onion bahgi and garlic naan. Very tasty. Restaurant called me to advise that the food was ready to collect and also advised that the sat nav would take us to wrong place. Very kind of them to call and let us know. Found it no problem.

Took my order, an hour after they were meant to deliver they still haven't arrived and I can't contact them via phone or the app. £20 gone and now waiting for another company to deliver. Absolute joke, don't rely on this company if you want food on time. Ordered 19.45 still no delivery or contact at 21.00.

Ordered off uber eats and waited 2 hours after sending the first 1 back as was lukewarm at best and the second 1 had under cooked onion bargies and as for going back not any time soon and the phone number turns up as a number from out rhe are very unusual

Really disappointed with this meal. We ordered at 18h00 and it took 2hours to arrive. When we called to ask where the food was we were told the drive was on his way, when calling a second time we were told he was 3min away but this took a further 20min to get to us. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the meal or eat a lot of it as the naans were burnt and my husbands chicken was not cooked all the way and for our pork chilli fry we got chicken. Extremely disappointing especially when you've spent over £40 to make use of the specials being offered.

Don't order from here. Once they have your mobile number they constantly spam you with texts that you cannot stop or block. Absolute pests

These guys are scammers. Dont order from here. I ordered online and waited 2 hours for our food , tried phoning and no answer. They took my money though. I have tried to get a refund but I cannot get a hold of anyone. I would avoid ordering from here...

Shocking Ordered a take away and not only was it late by 2 and a half hours it was cold and certain parts were not cooked. When I did ring up staff hung up on me and a family member. Shocking go to any other Indian in andover

Decided at last minute to try here as was the only restaurant out of 25+ restaurants I called to try and book on last day before lockdown. Was celebrating my birthday with my partner and my parents and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. We got there and we're greeted by the lovely staff who asked us to do the track and trace and then showed us to our table. Our drinks order was taken not long after seating and our food order was taken maybe 5 minutes later which is alright. I ordered the sticky pork chilli fry which was absolutely delicious and my Thai red curry with king prawns was just as good. We ordered some sides and rice etc and everyone was pleased with their food and expressed how tasty it all was. I felt the price for what we ate was also fair at just over £100 (£25 a head). All in all it was a very satisfying experience and we will definately be returning, I think we will make it our regular Indian spot. Thanks Mumbai Brasserie, see you after lockdown!!

Omg second order from here and omg best curry and the king prawns are amazing and the chicken with peanut sauce mmm and the lamb rolled sausage and the chicken korma lush Iv ate at a lot of Indian restaurants in London and this is best iv had bye far I would rate the 5 star plus more

Lovely food , such a shame service poor. Had to ask for our food and had to go to the counter to pay.

I came here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the covid measures put in place after reading other reviews. The staff were wearing masks and the tables appeared socially distanced. The food itself was delicious and very reasonably priced after the eat out to help out discount. There was a fairly long wait time for food however the resturant was clearly packed and the staff were clearly doing all they could to help.

Our visit started off well, our drinks orders were taken within a few minutes of arriving, which was nice. Unfortunately that's where the good service stopped, after finishing our drinks and poppadoms, we waited over an hour and a half, and our table still hadn't been cleared of the poppadom trays and dips, nor had we even been given a menu. During this time we had been ignore several times by the waitress. After waiting so long we decided to leave, so we paid for the drinks and poppadoms only to not be given the "eat out to help out" discount either. TLDR: terrible service, ignored several times, charged double the price we expected.

The food was alright but the wait was ridiculous and there are no safety measures in place. The tables are next to each other, the staff don't wear masks. There are so many more better places who have put in effort and I'd rather go to them

Excellent food..service..and value

Food was excellent . Staff were friendly . Waited nearly an hour for our main course. i had ordered lamb but chicken arrived . They did offer to take it back but I didn't want to wait another hour so settled for chicken . We did ask for the bill which didn't arrive so we got up and paid at the desk. Just to note it was very busy and any sort of social distancing went out the window!! But the food really was good I would go back but would aim for a quieter time of a day.

I wouldn't recommend this place during eat out to help out campaign. Too busy, not covid safe and 2.5 hr wait from table booking time to leaving restaurant without a main course! Sad because normally I like this restaurant but they have priorities all wrong.

This was one of my fav restaurants but service really let it down tonight, no social distances between tables at all, we waiting over 30mins for our order to be taken and another hr for our starters to arrive at the table, no apology for delay or wait from any member of staff, we then waited another 40 mins for our mains to arrive and the funny thing is clearly they weren't coping well with how busy it was yet told the table next to us (less than a metre away) 30mins wait on food 🙄 the food saved this place as usual very tasty and hot but the wait and lack of covid restrictions really let it down, staff not wearing maks when setting and clearing tables leaning over customers! Not the mumbai i know and will not be going back for sometime

Food quality was good, but we waited an hour before our food came and waited an hour for our individual bills but didn't come so we went to the front desk. We got charged for a lot of food and drinks we didn't order and we didn't even the 50% off on our food just £40 off.

Unsure what to choose. Asked the gentleman during takeaway call to pick out foods. Amazeballs!

My husband ordered take away this evening. He ordered for me a vegetable Thai curry as I don’t eat meat. It arrives with chicken in. We are told that’s what we ordered and will be charged again for a vegetable one. Bad customer service and rude.

Nice food , good service and fair prices

Andover has a choice of many Indian/Bangladesh restaurants and from our experience the standard is pretty high. This was our first visit to the Mumbai Brasserie and I have to say the bar for that standard has been raised. Right from the very first moment we walked in the level of service was just outstanding. We barely had to think about ordering drinks and the essential poppadoms when they arrived almost by magic. Both the waitresses that served us were really helpful and attentive throughout the whole evening. We didn't order a started and went straight to chicken shashlik for me and the lamb methi gosht nizami for my partner. Both were excellent the lamb in particular was very succulent. After chatting with Tito (the boss) he gave us a sample of the paneer starter. This is paneer cheese tossed in a chilli sauce with garlic and Bell peppers and is absolutely fantastic. We will be back to what I think has just become our new favourite Indian restaurant in Andover very soon. Thanks Tito and the rest of the team.

Went into the restaurant to Order a takeaway - order taken very quickly however the wait was over an hour ! They were busy but had to keep asking how long the food would be . Told several times they were packing it ! Poor planning for a busy night , poor communication equals poor customer service & performance - wouldn’t use the takeaway again

Ordered food for delivery. They said it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. 2 hours later no food and no answer when calling...

Great food and attentive staff. Had to ask for the bill twice but they were very busy. Very wide choice of starters and main meals. All dishes are explained for the unsure. Quite good value for money too. We spent £70 on 2 starters, 2 mains, 3 sides, 4 beers and liqueurs. I highly recommend this place, it's probably the best Indian in Andover at the moment. Had to wait more than 3 hours for a delivery that was cold. Despite my previous review, DON'T BOTHER!

Have been here twice for Sunday buffet and food great each time! Evening meals are equally as good. Have never had a bad experience here.

Waited an hour to even get our order taken, then just as the starters came out one of the party was told their choice was no longer available! An alternative choice was made so they sat there while the rest of us ate our starters. The replacement starter was obviously rushed through as it wasn't cooked through properly! This was sent back and then recooked so much so that this was now overcooked and hard. After waiting a further hour we decided enough was enough and asked for the bill so we could pay for what we had eaten and go. Never again!

Went to the door for our meal a young lad red eyed in tow were his mates in the car the food smelt of smoke i will not be a returning customer this isnt what anyone expects delivering there food

My food arrived cold smelt of smoke and it had took two cars to deliver my neighbours loved the noise from his mates needless to say not using in future.

If you want a nice place to eat at, then this one of the a great place to spend the evenings with the family. Very tasty indian and goan food and the place is very spacious.

Mumbai Brasserie need to taka the Thai food off the menu, because they cannot make it at all. I ordered a Thai green curry with chicken and asked for jasmine rice. Unfortunately I did not get anything that I ordered. Jasmine rice, needed for Thai curry, was not on the menu. I understood why this was relaced by steamed rice, however this was too hard and needed to be steamed longer. The first attempt at my curry was bright red and looked suspiciously like a chicken tika masala. This was replaced by a generic green-ish curry. It did not look, smell or taste like a Thai green curry. The only ingredient from the menu I can guarantee was the chicken. I have no idea what the rest of the food is like here and I never will. I will definitely be avoiding this restaurant in the future.

Been here a few times now, the restaurant is a lovely place to eat. Staff are attentive even when it’s really busy. Food is on point every time. Thanks again guys 100%

Probably the worst curry I have ever eaten. The chicken Tikka Masala just tasted like chicken in a tomato soup. It was flavourless, watery and didn't resemble a tikka masala in the slightest. Above all it was 35 minutes late! This was an online order through Just Eat.

Just had my first ever takeaway from Mumbai Brasserie and it was absolutely gorgeous! So tasty, well presented and so much effort made with the garnishes and little extras that you don't usually get. I had Saag paneer for a side which is usually just spinach and cheese but theirs had more flavour as well as fresh chopped tomatoes and garnish which made it even yummier! I used their online pre-ordering system at start of my commute home on Friday and it was there ready and waiting exactly as ordered by the time I arrived and was delicious. I will be back! Thank you Mumbai Brasserie! :)

Excellent service and food. Had dal makhani and xacuti chicken for main course which were really good. In starters paneer chilli and samosa chat were delicious especially samosa chat with channa.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal here last night. Food, service and staff all excellent. Will definitely visit again soon. 😀

Nice restaurant and ambience. Nice people in there. Unfortunately the takeaway chicken dhansak and pilau rice I bought tasted so poor I threw half of it all in the bin. I was so disappointed. We were going to recommend this restaurant for a works evening for 10 of us but have decided that would be the wrong thing to do.Maybe in a few months time l will return and try again but its sister takeaway Andover Tandoori sells really nice food but you cant sit down there if you want a night out. The Curry Leaf is however a sit down restaurant Choices, choices!

Just had an amazing meal here. Food absolutely superb, service excellent and the staff made us feel very welcome. We do not live in Andover we have come away to celebrate 32 years of marriage and we couldn’t of asked for a better evening. Thanks to everyone at Mumbai Brasserie. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Was there last night for the Elvis tribute night, what a fantastic night we had. First time using this restaurant and the food was the best I've ever had from an Indian restaurant. The staff couldn't do anymore to accommodate. Looking forward to the return visit

Excellent meal, well worth the extra pennies to have a well presented and tasty meal...

Firstly the speed of service was excellent, but we did dine very early so the restaurant was far from full. It was around 6.30 on a Saturday evening We we greeted with a big smile and had recommendations from the new menu. I chose the chili pork stir fry, my wife the Mumbai platter for our starters. Both dishes were excellent and beautifully presented. I was told the pork was sourced locally. Our main course consisted of lamb curry and a seafood curry, we shared a rice and ordered a couple of naan breads. The food did not disappoint and my lamb was tender and had some very delicate flavours. If I could criticise in any way, it would be the cost of soft drinks, they are on the high side. Our meal was a bit shy of £60, this included two soft drinks and a large wine. I would recommend and we will return.

Buffet could of done with being topped up more. Other than that was very nice.

Dreadful overpriced buffet service. We waited....and waited...and waited... One of our friends had to leave before the food arrived so only had 2 popadoms for dinner! 3 hrs later we were served with a very limited range of small dishes. Staff wanted to clear our plates immediately and were surprised when we asked for more food. I'm very upset for my friend who had carefully organised an otherwise successful surprise 40th birthday party. Such a shame to be let down like this.

Terrible service and poor management My first time visiting here with a party for my friends birthday. The Food was supposed to come out at 730pm we didn't get our mains until gone 915pm. They were hugely understaffed for the size of our group. Just one waiter trying to serve a group of over 20 people meaning we all got our food at different times one end of the table was completely forgotten. Moreover the portions were not enough for all of us to eat a full meal. I'm sorry but a handful of rice and small amount of daal was not enough for me. I feel sorry for the staff as they were doing the best they could under the circumstances. As the management had clearly over booked the restaurant and not been prepared for the service. Their planning was poor and the kitchen clearly ran behind because of it. One plus side is that the little food we did get served was pretty tasty. Just poor service and terrible management beyond ruined the evening. This situation could have been managed a lot better, and when we did complain (which was a lot) all we were handed were excuses not solutions. Needless to say I won't be coming out of my way for a return visit.

We visited tò celebrate my son's birthday. The meal was excellent and the service was very gòod. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and will certainly go again. When they realised it was my (adult) son's birthday they brought out a scoop of ice cream on a plate with a candle on top, singing 'Happy Birthday'

Good food reasonably priced and quick efficient service.

Been going for years but the food tonight was not great. Their version of a tikka masala is not a tikka masala! The staff however were lovely they did change my husband's meal but even the 2nd one wasn't right..still very hot and the look and consistency reminded me of a Chinese chicken curry. They did give us some free banana fritters which were nice.Sadly I would not go back..

Delicious food, fabulous service.

Everything was exquisite and fresh. You can tell that Mumbai Brasserie really take pride in their food. The food here is good and well priced. I went for flavoursome Balti Lamb and Goan Fish Curry. The flavours were amazing and everything that I tried was absolutely wonderful. They have items ranging from bland to downright spicy so ask before you try anything. I will be visiting here many more times in the coming months
