Little point in reserving a table two days before as no one appears to know about it. This is very local to me and my partner and I have dined there many times. Last night I had a reservation for three people which seemed not to register. My friends were due to arrive and eventually I was offered a table meant for two people at the back of the restaurant which would not accommodate the three of us,. Although there were empty tables at the front of the venue I was not offered these and said I would leave. Whilst waiting outside one of the staff came to say he'd found a table but the damage was done. My partner is currently away in holiday and I can categorically state we will never return to this restaurant .

Delicious food in a lovely setting. It has become our weekly treat to eat here. The food is fresh, tasty, and good portion size. Our favourite dishes are… shredded chicken tikka dosa, aubergine crush, lamb chops, chicken tikka masala, old deli makhani, saag paneer and peshwari naan. You can take your own bottle of wine or gin & tonic etc which is great if you like nice wine as you can avoid paying silly restaurant mark-ups. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly.

Anything but authentic Indian food!! We ordered a masala dosa since we were visiting for the first time thinking what could possibly go wrong.. and good god did it go wrong!! Dosa was dripping in oil/butter combination. Masala given was the ones usually served with rotis, not dosas!! What was given as tomato chutney was Jam!! Sweet jam.. What should be sambar, was dal!! And the best part of it all, what was served as coconut chutney was freaking Raitha!! We asked the server for chutney thinking they may have wrongly given Raitha.. instead of correcting it, they doubled down on us (south Indians) and said that was coconut chutney.. that which had curd in it and not an ounce of coconut.. !! Needless to say, we won't be stepping in this place again. They are anything but Indian restaurant.. !!

The quality Hildon sparkling water was nice and cold. BYOB. Small tables. The whitebait starter was very bad, the 'crispy whitebait ' was not crispy, and not cooked whole with the head on as is the usual way , but made into a paste and made into small fish shapes, and then not cooked enough. The Sri Lanka Burji starter was nice, the pan grilled pulled lamb with shredded malabar was ok. Baked aubergine starter was so-so. I did not enjoy the Seafood Moilee as my main, nor the rice with pineapple, nor the stodgy side vegetable. The Masala tea was just awful, the manager took this off the bill after my friend said how I thought it was so bad. Service was slack. Very hot, badly air conditioned. I will not be coming back. The last time I came here with friends we all liked it, must have been a different chef.

Do not order from GOOD TO GO APP,, My family and I love a good curry so when I came across a deal on good to go I snapped up the chance to get a curry worth £60 for £20.. the food they give u is a suprise bag so can contain anything. Well,, we got a half portion of daal,, so much garlic we couldn't eat it, same went for the half portion of okra. One pilau rice, some shredded chicken in a sauce that contained way to much salt. Bombay aloo which were to form and came in a watery sauce and a lamb biryani which was just ok. Does sound like £60 worth of food? Went online and worked it out to be £34 worth. We rang the restaurant and they could not have cared a less.. took pictures and have demanded a refund from the good to go app.

Not a great evening, staff form the offset seem confused and misinformed about how to run a restaurant. Not sure if the two waiters are family of the owner as they're quite young but they weren't very accustomed table management etc. had to ask twice to get water when the food came. Sauces were thin and uninspired. The main flavour is the spice but otherwise not a lot else to it, feel like everything is prepared way to quickly, sauce should be something that is prepared with time and consideration. Even the pilaf rice was a bit flat and uninspired. Shame as it's in a great location to serve to the community, I think the only reason everyone goes back is the byob aspect of the meal.

Sometimes I find Indian food lays heavy but the food here was very tasty and not as grease heavy as I've found in some places. It is a bring your own alcohol restaurant but there is a little wine shop across the road where you can buy wine/beer to accompany your meal if you want. The staff were friendly and helpful and I'd definitely recommend.

Booked a table and arrived to find no table available. Went for a drink for 20 minutes to wait for a “large group to leave”. When we returned they’d given the table to another group and tried to squeeze us on a tiny table. Offered a free popadom for the inconvenience and said “sorry, everyone wanted a table at 8pm”. I dont write reviews, so you know its serious when I'm writing my first review. Nice decor and they use mcdonalds coca cola glasses but still started off well. Popodums ordered and then you realise they charge £2 for the chutney which is crazy and bring out 2 with out even asking. Starters, okra fries, prawns, dim sum, mixed grill. Literally dreadful. Uncooked batter on the okra and two average size prawns for 6 quid that is just 80% batter. Dumplings you get in itsu, with the Indian fusion being coriander thrown on top. Mixed grill was so underwhelming with the actual thing setting off the firm alarm which was the most exciting aspect of the dish. We then had a nicotein break just after we ordered are mains. 3 minutes we were gone and we come back and our mains are there. 3 minutes?! It was clearly microwaved. The butter chicken was just liquid with bits of shredded chicken in it. The bombay aloo was literally potato water with what it seemed like canned potato's. Nothing tastes of anything and is so watery. Best aspects of the meal the naans and poppadoms. So if you like bread and the most expensive chutney, Mumbai avenue is for you. It was a friends birthday, and he was close to tears and he never expresses his emotion.

Mumbai Ave I went to this place with my Mum and Dad for the first time and it will be my last. I ordered Paneer Tika which was cold when it’s supposed to be hot temperature wise and Goan Chicken was not hot enough in a spicy way and the sauce was very watery and the paneer saag was very bland and the tomato and chilli rice was good but it had no spinach like it said in the menu and the garlic naan was ok but the plain naan was undercooked and it was too sweet which we did not ask for. We were recommended this place via a local Facebook group although we have a good Indian restaurant locally. The menu is a little different to what we are used to although there are some recognisable dishes. We had poppadoms with pickles, a curry each, one vegetable dish, rice and a naan. This was plenty of food as portions were generous. The flavours were really good and the sauces not at all greasy. We had water with the meal and finished off with chai. The only issue was they didn't seem to have booked a table for us but luckily they did have a space.

Disappointed all round - I have no idea what people are talking about where they have given great reviews or maybe they were just having a bad day - it happens. The food reminded me from a cheap Indian restaurant that has no concept of what good food is like and there are a few of them around. The Paneer Mirch Masala was basically onions, onions and onions in tangy tomato gravy with 5 paneer tiny pieces. The Old Delhi style chicken was just 4 small pieces of chicken in coloured water - where was the flavour? What wà the idea around this dish? The breads were OK though and the staff were ok, although the service wasn't great. The dishes we had can be improved upon massively. It's located in a nice part of Ealing but they don't do south asian food any justice but thats my opinion. I didn't enjoy writing this review as I was really hoping for good food from them. Overall, do not recommend at all.

I order the lamb biryani often and I can’t fault it, the caramelised onions and dried chilli pepper are an amazing touch on top. The lamb itself is cooked well. It’s tender, which you don’t normally get from other places. The rice is fluffy and not soggy and sticky, which I prefer. It’s one of the best in Ealing if you’re a lamb biryani fan. Their okra fries are also great but they used to be better, they recently changed the recipe (would be amazing if they bring back the old one). The Sri Lankan Burji is fantastic, again it’s a nice dry lamb dish so if you’re a saucy person you might not like it! Their curries are different to your regular curry house so don’t expect something familiar. Get food from here if you’re willing to try something a little different. I personally prefer drier dishes so I normally just opt in for the biryani! The portions are standard and the exact same as any other curry house
