Mullions Restaurant, Royal Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Feel sorry for poor staff and visitors having to eat terrible and overpriced food at this place. Their employees usually are too busy chit chatting and gossiping to attend customers. Only people doing some work are either chefs or people behind the till.

Maria made my experience delightful. Nice place would definitely recommend and I will be returning. .

Appalling food, Treliske many years ago was renowned for good edible food, but since it’s been taken over by Mitie it’s revolting. Laughably I overheard a man whilst queuing say that prison food was nicer.

We have never been disappointed with meals here. The students are eager to please and do a brilliant job. Can unreservedly recommend it.

Slow slow slow when you only got 30 minutes break and no one on the tills to take your money or prefer to have a chit chat. Morning fry ups Luke warm.

Could be amazing... Found everything a bit bland, salads are good but a highly nutritious soup and smoothies would go down well, drinks expensive get Jamie and team in for day it ain't rocket science, and nice staff but watching overweight server stuffing roast pork in her mouth in middle of service, does leave a lot to the imagination as too mites food handling training no hair covering either, dropping greasy spoon image and healthier food would not go amiss

My husband was recently a day case patient at The Royal Cornwall Hospital, and to while away some time I visited Mullions. The staff were pleasant, the tables clean and fresh and the surroundings, although busy with staff, patients and visitors was not noisy. I had a sandwich, coffee and a naughty! All was excellent. I had a second cup of coffee and whiled away a couple of hours reading, If I need the facilities again I wouldn't hesitate. All in all, excellent. The restaurant is divided into one or two different areas, and I was in the area where it was stated to be Costa. I couldn't fault any part of the facilities there. Thank you staff.

It is a staff canteeen effectively, not a restaurant so a bit unfair to compare it to Truro's finest. All that said the standard is variable and often clearly under staffed. That's a Mitie issue, well discussed in the local press. This was once run by NHS staff. Anyway it does a job i suppose......

the Mullion Restaurant food use to be really good. staff were great, and open at visiting times but now its terrible. hot food that cold, hardly any choice. and shuts at 6pm . yet visiting is 6pm-8pm. hot food finish at 4pm. even the staff seemed surprised by this. its all been done up. but with really poor services. bring back the old restaurant Cornwall hospital please. or get in a company that rans it for the patient and their visitors not for a profit only.

When spending sixteen days awaiting a Cardiac op,I would stroll down for BF. The place has changed since my last visit a few years back and is now just a greasy spoon Cafe while it was at one time very pleasant....but that is privatisation.

If your unfortunate enough to have to be in Treliske visiting for any length of time this place is a godsend. Light airy with comfortable seating areas where you can just unwind with a coffee and snack read your paper etc or, choose a fresh cooked meal from the wide selection available. The menu changes daily with a daily specials board too. Light bites are also available as is a full English breakfast. Mullions offers an oasis of calm to escape the trials and tribulations of long hours sat with sick family and relatives.
