Mulberry Cafe in Huntingdonshire

Breakfast was very greasy, sausage and mushrooms were over cooked and could tell they were fried, beans were watery and had no flavour, been coming for breakfast for years and this is the first time I had to say something negative.

Met up with friends for a catch up. We all chose the Lasagne, as we've had it before and it didn't disappoint. The staff were helpful and service good.

Had a lovely meal although my husband was a little disappointed with his curry and only one crumble left for dessert and all 4 of us were going to order that. However the service was fantastic, all the staff were friendly and efficient and we were served promptly. Definitely would recommend to others and come again. Nice ambience but definitely no need for the background music.

WE took my mother in law who has dementia and this is one of her favourite places. Lovely coffee and a nice selection of cakes. Even my wife who is a coeliac can have roullade as its gluten free. Mother in law and I had the last of the apple tart and it was delicious warmed with cream. Staff were very attentive and excellent customer service

We travel on this road several times a year. The Mulberry Café is just off the route. Cheerful service, quite quick, comfortable, pleasant seating areas, including outside, AND, WELL-BEHAVED DOGS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE- This is very important to us, and makes the difference between whether we would use the café or not. We also like the nursery, and wohkd come for that, anyway.

Waited a while to be served, staff seemingly oblivious to our trying to place our orders. However, food was excellent and hot when it arrived. If you want to get your loyalty points, place separate orders and get individual bills, More long winded for servers and cashiers, but much more straightforward when paying and having points credited.

Good variety of choices in both cakes and meals. Comfortable surroundings including sheltered outside seating.

Attentive and organised, a gem in the countryside. We stope here on the way to and from our holiday every year. My wife is Gluten Free but they serve up the best Pached Eggs, Toast and Cript bacon - Kudos to the Chef and staff !. Clean and a really lovely place to stop

Have been there a few times and have always had a great meal, however today we thought we would try the Katsu Chicken Curry, bad mistake, breaded (?) overcooked chicken in weak sauce. Was the Chef on holiday? Stick to choosing something you know that can't be ruined by the staff, is my advice. Soup and sandwiches next time ( if there is a next time.)

Visited for a late lunch, the cafe was empty, waitress looked at her watch when we entered and informed us only sandwiches/jacket potatoes on offer, even though it was almost 3.30pm and the opening times state closing at 5pm. The food was fine but we weren't made to feel welcome.

Overall the service was quite friendly and the food was superb! I would definitely go back again and again.

So rude! Staff huddled around the counter moaning and us as customers being able to hear every word! So unprofessional, the member of staff that took our order was most put out when they bought the huge bottle of water and I said that’s too big I don’t want it, I could hear her telling another member of staff that I didn’t want it as tap water was free! I had soup of the day, two slices of the cheapest supermarket bread going, I was expecting a crusty roll or at least a piece of sourdough. The waitress came over to ask if everything was ok was walking away before she realised I says no actually the bread is dreadful, she did offer to change it, too late shouldn’t serve it in the first place. Soup unseasoned too, very bland. Won’t be calling in again.

We have had lunch here several times and never been disappointed. Today we had a starter of pea and ham soup, followed by ham egg and chips and scampi. As always the service was prompt, friendly and the food great. Plenty of parking, suggest pre booking a table as can get busy.

Being later to eat the Sunday lunch meant not all meats were available- understandable - The turkey we had was dried out round the edges which was a shame but again so late in their lunch slot it was understandable. Service to get ordered was slow and I had to go and ask for our order to be taken.
