Extremely disappointed. Spent Over £40 on tasteless watery curry’s. Our dishes were swimming. Sag paneer tasted of watery spinach. Naan was burnt and paper thin. HORRIBLE!!! Doesn’t deserve the stars even though they are friendly.

This was a birthday celebration and was treated by my partner to go to this lovely restaurant for a Indian meal, they had a fantastic menu to choose from dinning was excellent there, the staff on duty at the time were very helpful friendly and cheerful. Booking can be done in advance can also be very busy in the evenings, there is a good atmosphere in the restaurant with very nice lighting, the chairs are very comfortable and the place is very clean to. Parking is available on street free of charge in designated spaces, try visiting Clare Village Suffolk during the day very historic with its castle mound, parks, antique shops, boutique shops, three village pubs, and a railway platform with a café. But the Indian Mughal Knight restaurant highly recommended, you can also bring your own wine corkage free they supply the wine cooling bucket and glasses, enjoy your meal and pay them a visit if your in the area.

Visited the Mughal Knight this evening,on recommendation it was our wedding anniversary. Can’t fault it, food was fabulous,portions were ample! We will certainly visit again.

I've only been for a takeaway/delivery but the food here is really good... It's a notch above most and certainly far better than anything on offer in Haverhill. They deliver to Haverhill from Clare for £4 which is good value. It obviously had a 20mim journey to get here and is better when collected and we opt to have a takeaway picnic in the immediate vicinity - but highly recommended

Mughal Knight in clare. The cheater and I went here for a meal 30/6/23 as a surprise for kat. You are made welcome as soon as you step foot in Mughal Knight. Nothing was too much trouble , the food was amazing . Alcohol isn't served here, but you can take your own

We had several dishes which should have tasted very different from each other. The sauce tasted and looked very similar and all had in my opinion too much sugar. The meat had not absorbed the flavour of the sauce so I suspect it was added at the end. We had prepared a list using Google maps of the numbers from each dish and phoned, the person answering did not have a list with the number so we had to call again with descriptions. Will I go again. Probably not.

This was our first time visiting the restaurant..we have had a delivery before hence the food then was excellent....well we were not disappointed at all ...very friendly greeting on arrival. excellent service and food amazing..fresh and certainly not oily at all ingredients were of good quality definitely recommended the chefs special biriany....you need to book. and don't forget to take your own alcohol....lovely experience

Traditional Indian food at its finest

My 1st review of this restaurant having tried it for the first time tonight. Staff on the telephone and the delivery driver were so friendly and helpful. Always worry about trying a new takeaway but this was amazing. Food arrived piping hot and early and the taste of all the dishes was delicious. Lamb was falling apart as it was cooked so well and everything was just wonderful. Wish I could give it 10 stars 🌟. Will definitely be ordering again.

Is by far the best Indian restaurant in the area, I can't fault it for food, service, and value for money. You take your own alcohol which isn't an issue for us. In fact, it makes it even better value.

I desperately wanted to love our takeaway but the two mild curries we ordered (as sharing with our kids) were both way too sweet. The rice & naan & starter were great.

A lovely place reccomended by locals. Beautiful food great portion sizes served in a delightful venue. Great choices on the menu from traditional favourites to maybe new dishes yet to try. Bring a friend family or loved one and experience fine dining in cozy style.

There are lot of Indian Restaurants but all foods I found was really great at Mughal. It’s a perfect place to find what is good for your tongue. I can definitely recommend anyone for this as it is a great place to dine in and take away. The staff, ambience and the food all come together to an excellent experience in food. You have great reviews, can only think your dine in standard is way above your take away food . My step father is Indian , he prepares and cooks for us . I have spent time in India , I know first hand how wonderful their cuisine is . What you served us last week was a poor excuse to English people who have no idea what it should be like . Would you like me to send photos of comparison? … No I was not having. A bad day until I paid a lot of money for a poor standard meal

Very disappointed. I have ordered from this restaurant every time I visit my family in Clare. Last time I had it (August 2022) it was truly delicious! This time something has gone terribly wrong; small portions, no flavour, onion bharjis dry and bland, poppadums oily and overly salty, butter chicken was dry and flavourless and the sauce was watery and also flavourless, naan was wet and undercooked, even the onion salad was dry and not finely chopped at all. One of the worst Indian meals I’ve ever had. I wasted £38 on an extremely underwhelming meal. Despite paying £4 for delivery, living in Clare and placing the order from the restaurant in Clare, I had to wait 1hr 15mins for the food to arrive as the delivery driver chose to drive past my address to deliver in Glemsford first, which is totally illogical and meant my food arrived cold. To top it off, they have a website that you can order on but not pay on, they prefer cash upon delivery or you have to call them and pay over the phone. I don’t know if the restaurant has changed hands or if they have just changed chefs but I’ve never been so disappointed in an Indian takeaway before. Mughal Knight, please up your game you used to be great.

A fantastic take away , super service and delicious.

Excellent food, excellent service, great value, very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended (the butter chicken is exquisite 👌) the restaurant is a lovely venue but best to book as are generally busy. Alcohol not served but you can take your own. We collect a take away and also dine at the restaurant. They have an extensive Vegan menu too which is also highly recommended by my wife. Clare is a lovely village which is complimented with great food such as the Mughal Knight Restaurant, definitely worth a visit.

Great food as always, worth the drive from Haverhill. Beware though, they don't have an alcohol license but will provide glasses.

Great curry at a very good price, especially as you can take your own booze.

This was a greasy tasteless indian. The spicy meals were lacking any spice at all, the bread was doughy and not like naan and the onion bahjis were wet inside and barely cooked.

Just had first takeaway,food was watery,vindaloo nowhere near hot enough and expensive won’t be buying again! Overall very disappointed!

4 of us dined here for the 1st time and all said that we would go back again. Food was very tasty and hot, restaurant was very busy, so proves its popularity, we all had different main dishes and shared sides. Only draw back was no alcohol licence but you can take your own alcohol and it's free corkage.

Food was lukewarm l had jalfresi my wife chicken kurma. The kurma was tastless and my chicken jalfresi was mostly chicken free

In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in the Haverhill area. I have never had a bad meal. The food is fantastic, and it has always been ready at the time requested when ordering a takeaway online, regardless of how busy the restaurant is.

Absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend this place. I had the chicken sag Waller with keema rice and plain naan which was delicious. Best curry house around! Can’t wait to go back!!

I had a party of 12 Saturday in Haverhill pre ordered our meals asked for it to be delivered between 8 and 8.30 pm arrived 8.15 pm and everyone was happy with food so that gets 10/10 from thank you very much 👍

First night out with the hubby in ages and we wasn't disappointed. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere perfect. The staff were all friendly and the food was amazing. Best Indian meal we have had and would definitely recommend.

One of the best Indians.but very slow service. If you order a takeaway and thay say it will be ready at 8 o'clock turn up at half 8 for your takeaway. Very frustrating, But great food.

If I could give more than 5 stars we would. First time out in quite awhile and it was perfect. Staff are all lovely, and the food was the best we have ever had. Large spacious interior with a relaxing feel, our bill was £51 which for two people with a starter I think is really good. Will definitely be our number one place to go again.

Fantastic 2 course meal, superb value.

Went early on a Tuesday evening with my nephew and mother. Food is excellent. We had two lamb dishes and a chicken dish. Rice with nan and chapati with some side dishes. All food was good and fresh. Highly recommend

This is one of our favourite curry restaurants and we've never had a bad meal/takeaway, until tonight...☹️ We had KP biryani, brinjal bhaji and saag aloo, which were all sadly lacking in flavour. The saag also is my favourite but it was lots of mushy potato and not much spinach. I'm so sorry for the bad review Mughal Knight. Hopefully we'll get better next time.

Great food, good service and take your own beer

I love Indian food and this restaurant stands out as one of my favourites. Good vegetarian choices. Friendly, efficient service. It doesn’t sell alcohol but you bring your own, which you can buy from the Coop just round the corner. We booked in advance based on other reviews. Glad we did because it was popular.

My partner ordered a couple of dishes for us and while he loved his, I absolutely did not like my butter chicken. It tasted nothing like butter chicken. Way too creamy, way too thick and I couldn't even taste any of the spices. Not to mention the cream was so much more than the chicken itself 😡😡😡 I was starving and looking forward to it so I can't help but express my disappointment. 2 stars are for the pilau even though it had no salt.

The food was awful ..the main was much like spicy cat food ( better meat in cat food ) ..the bread ..I am totally lost for words ...I will never order from here again !!

Had a takeaway, was surprised as my first visit, food very good, will be back. The brinjal bhaji is amazing, we had the lamb naga (khushbu) really hot but really good. Staff very friendly and food ready on time despite being quite busy. Recommended.

Spent the evening here with my brother's. Food was excellent. Quality, quantity and variety... It was spot on. Service was great. The owner and the waiters are warm and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Their food is halal and they do alot of vegetarian options.

The food here used to be great, however the last two times have been awful. The previous time the food was drenched in oil and tasted bad. We complained about this when we rang up and placed our order on the 22nd May and specifically asked them not to use so much oil this time. The food turned up, very oily again. However we did eat it and then I spent the rest of the evening throwing up. I will not be giving them another chance.

Ate takeaway from here for the first time and I have to say it was pretty good. We had loads of items off the surprisingly extensive fully vegan menu - which was Whatsapp'd to us - and everything was hot, tasty and filling. Ordered and collected within half an hour. Very nice, fully recommend and will treat ourselves from here again!
