The food here is so delicious. I had a chicken tikka toastie which was amazing and the lemon drizzle I would highly recommend too.

Been here a couple of times now. A lot more choice for food than my usual costa and the coffee was good too, can't fault it. Chicken and ham tortilla particularly nice

Great place for a coffee. We have visited numerous times now and we are always made welcome by the friendly staff. Really nice coffees and a good range of snacks and cakes. We started visiting here because our "usual place" was always busy with queues and service had gone down. Here you order at the counter, go sit down and a few minutes later your order is brought to your table, no hanging around waiting.

Dog allowed in shop which was definitely known to an English female staff member who works in Muffin break. Staff member came around the counter to play and cuddle the dog, this went on for several minutes and then she went straight behind the counter and started to serve food without even washing her hands. Why are dogs allowed inside cafe style places? I would have scored below a one if I had the option. I informed the staff member and never even got an apology. This would be my last visit as it has put me off my purchase and definitely the hygienic aspects of the store.

bro one of the young female staff had an attitude - not sure if it was this one or a different one. This isn’t a joke or anything by the way. It was nice and a great place.

Everything was great apart from the staff really. Nice food and nice place but there was a young female worker who seemed to be new-ish who was just simply rude to us and pulled a face if we requested anything.

15/5/2023 My partner and I went here to the Wakefield branch and we both had the Tortilla Stack (filo pastry packed with chicken, ham, cheese, peppers, tomatoes and onions) We both agreed that it was quite easily the tastiest snack we had ever eaten. They also make a great cappuccino here. Such a shame that the Leeds branch has closed down. Well recommended ! 😀

Nice coffee not tried the food. Tables and chairs always look unclean and need wiping

Went here for a quick stop of tea and cake. Although the tea was ok and we managed two cups from it, the carrot cakew and red velvet cake were very dry and not good to eat at all, they were both very stale. It gave us the impression that the cake was days, if not a week old. So, for the cost of it all, it wasn't good quality food, we won't ever go again.

Been coming to Muffin Break often for some time now and noticed a well behaved dog under one the tables. We asked if they were dog friendly as we'd like to bring ours along and were told yes. For a few weeks we attended regularly with our pooch. Last week we were told we were not allowed to bring dogs into the cafe. When I enquired what had changed we were told that a customer had complained. Rather disappointed. I think the management need to make a formal decision on this and stick to it. Lovely polite staff though.

Cakes contained a bit too much sugar for my taste but the kids loved them.

Taken a bit of a nose dive this place, food now over priced for what it is.. ham and cheese croissant was nuked to death it was just a pile of glued squashed pastry with Malton lava for cheese, with wet tomatoes..

Before ordering I asked the size of a flat white. The cup was large, about 12oz (not a fast white) I asked them to make me one in a smaller cup. The lady behind the till showed me a smaller cup, about 8oz and said I can make one in this but it will be the same price. I was okay with that. When the drink came it was in the 12oz cup. I kindly explained what was discussed at the till. The waitress unwilling took my cup back but instead of making me a fresh drink, 2oz espresso topped with 6oz milk like I agreed at the till and explained this to her. She just poured my original drink into a smaller cup. Terrible customer service and terrible coffee. My wife's late was served with boiled milk. Avoid this place if you like and appreciate good coffee. Unskilled barista and poor service.

I visited your coffee shop today.. service was good as it’s wasn’t very busy, muffin was very fresh.. My only concern was contamination, the sandwiches all touch each other in the counter, ham next to the tuna.. also the lady behind the counter was filling up the sandwich counter touching all the sandwiches without gloves, then used the till, made someone a tea, then served another customer.. she didn’t wash her hands after filling the counter with bacon sandwiches. As being a Muslim person we don’t eat non halal meat, and the persons she served after touching the non halal meat sandwiches she served was a Muslim women.. Gloves should be worn when touching food

Sloppy service asked for Flat white got large milky coffee. Drinks where just slammed on the table. Couldn’t get a panini as they where all cross contamination with other products.

Muffins were dry but drinks and hot food were great

Came to the new shop in Bradford Broadway, very nice interior decor and seats fairly comfortable. The coffee was very nice with a liquorice flavour about it but would be nice if they asked if you would like milk with the americano. Food was lovely and had a good assortment of sandwiches, paninis, bagels and some festive ones thrown in there. The selection of sweets is very good but was left a little disappointed in the muffin we had (orange and cranberry). Whilst it was very moist with a slight crispy outer it was overall just lacking in flavour, a few hidden cranberries inside but no orange flavouring what so ever apart from the small slice of orange adorning the top of the butter cream. It tasted a bit too much of flour or what ever raising agent is used. Overall experience was nice and would come again to try other sweet goods and definitely the coffee. Also the table was fairly wobbly which was unexpected for a new shop and the music was fairly loud in places.

The bacon sandwich I ordered came on a soggy plate and was a small slice of bread with one small slice of bacon chopped in half. The ‘smoothie’ was all watery and quite frankly looked like a vegetable soup. Whole pieces of banana mashed up with spinach and watery liquid. DISGUSTING FOR £12

Staff didn’t get any of my order right, asked for no banana on pancakes and they came out with them on. Took them back and the staff member was very rude and pulled a face. When the pancakes were brought back out, they had very obviously just been scraped off meaning there was barely any caramel left. Asked for muffins to take away, they came out on plates?? So had to go back again to ask for a box to do it myself. It’s very disappointing, it used to be a lovely cafe.

Lovely latta, the banana cake disappointed a little dry the red velvet cake very nice would definitely recommend staff very pleasant . I would recommend litter tins on the tables for your serviette stirrers and empty sugar packets etc we sat out side with a little breeze and these items were forever blowing across the table and onto the precinct its definitely worth a thought guys but it's definitely worth a coffee and treat stop after a little retail therapy

Store always closes early! Just gone to store for 4:52 website and online says closes at 5:30pm it’s not good enough

Lovely coffee and cakes! The place is always clean and has a warm, friendly atmosphere with loads of natural light. Always well staffed, and they're always helpful. They also do a cake baking service if you want a cake baking for a birthday etc...would definitely recommend!

Food was cold and when asked to heat up, dark haired lass had attitude flinging plate on surface. My companions food was cold but she didn't dare complain. I understand it could dry out but tried to explain about food poisoning and they were rude. 😑 tea pots all leaked. Tables were dirty too

Lovely welcome, clean venue, staff helpful, wonderful selection of cakes, croissants, sandwiches and muffins. Toilet clean and well supplied.

Had lunch with a co-worker here, very quiet with very friendly staff. Food was of a high quality and at a decent price. Had a dessert to take out and i can highly recommend the cakes.

First time visit, called in for breakfast. We enjoyed two fresh well presented bagels served by welcoming attentive staff. Washed down with delicious black coffee. Would recommend.

Lovely airy coffee house. Coffee was hot and fresh. The rolls and cakes etc looked good and we're kept safely but visible to the customer. Very busy but we'll worth the wait.

Terrible customer service. Asked for skinny milk and the polish girl on the till just looked at me and didn’t write it down. Knew we weren’t going to get it despite asking twice and Definitely didn’t get it. Sandwiches cold. Staff look half asleep and don’t know what they’re doing. Young girl with black hair didn’t speak a word and her and the lad in black both had no idea where they were taking anything despite numbers on the table. Messed up almost every order in the 2hrs we were there. Missed one sandwich off the order and didn’t know which coffee had dairy free milk. Used to be a nice cafe but wouldn’t bother now. Certainly don’t expect service with a smile!

It's a nice place to sit because of the big windows.. but it's expensive.. Good for sweet stuff but I'd give the sandwiches a swerve

Called in for a quick lunch stop and was cheerily greeted, made my choice and took a seat at one of the tables. Soon after, my lunch was served. It was nice to have the opportunity for a relaxing stop in this cafe, which serves up a tasty selection, served by very friendly staff.

Popped in for a coffee and cake, it was made very well, the cake was tasty, the staff was friendly and we really enjoyed it.

The Barista's are very knowledgeable with excellent customer service skills. The coffee and hot chocolate is delicious right down to the smile at the bottom of the cups 😊 the selection of food at the counter is so good it takes a while to decide what to choose and compared to other cafés in Wakefield it is easier to spread out and social distance 😀

One of my favourite places to visit, fantastic warm welcome and friendly service, sandwiches and muffins are delicious, great arrange of hot drinks, with various milks to add. Food made fresh daily and even gluten fee options in the muffins, toilets and loads of seating area. A loyalty card and app available too.

Really nice cakes and drinks and speedy service. It was a little on the expensive side but as a treat or a one off then it's not so bad and everything tasted great!

One of our regular haunts for a coffee and a snack. Nicely situated in Trinity Walk shopping centre with lots of space and the large windows give an airy and spacious feel. It's all on one level so good for pushchairs/wheelchairs and there is an accessible toilet. There is a good selection of sweet and savoury snacks that are brought to your table. In general, friendly,helpful staff. I chose the scone with jam and butter (although I did have to back and ask for those as the server had forgotten). Lots of choice for coffee and it's always nice and hot.

Muffins are gorgeous from here, but as just been diagnosed with coeliac unable to eat. Need to have gluten free sandwiches and muffins.

I like this place. The snacks and light meals are tasty and well presented. Favourites of mine are their herby sausage rolls and the warm tortilla stacks.Their flat white coffee is the best in the area. Couple the above with a light and airy building right in the city centre and what more do you want?

Service is decent staff are friendly and prices are fair. Unfortunately for me the food and drinks were not what I was expecting, coffee was very bitter for a drink such as a mocha which is would expect to be sweeter. The muffin I ordered was also not as expected the top of the muffin was hard and inside and bottoms was soft. I don't mean the muffin was stale but it was just made that way and wasn't what I expected. Overall this is a nice cafe with decent prices for those who don't want to que and pay the prices of more premium brands.

Before the Pandemic, we were regular customers of Muffin Break and yesterday, we felt it was safe to visit again if we sat outside. I went in to order and felt safe enough at the till. I ordered coffees, a toastie and a Panini for my husband. I was a little surprised how quickly the toastie and panini were ready but took them outside to our table. Unfortunately, when we ate them, they were really undercooked and quite frankly, cold inside. My toastie was also really dry. My main reason for writing this review though, was the apparent lack of cleaning/sanitising of the outside tables. Whilst we were there (about 45 minutes) no one came out to clean any of the tables, indeed a member of staff carried a tray out for a lady and put it on the table next to us after a family had left. Apart from the crumbs, which were clearly visible, I would've thought it needed sanitising. Surely, tables should be cleaned after EVERY customer, even in "normal" times. I have to say, the apparent lack of sanitising is a big concern for me and is the reason I won't return.

Wonderful drinks, food, and service! Will definitely be going again, love the cozy look of the place as well as the seating selection and comfort, perfect for a cozy stop or a little date :)
