Mid muffins, good coffee and freindly staff. The muffins are a tad stodgy but they're fresh and obviously homemade. The coffee is smooth and tasty, the staff are lovely and accommodating. The toilet was a bit awkward and hard to use with accessibility needs

Delicious muffins. We had blueberry and a cherry and almond. Good hot chocolate and coffee too. Lots of seating. In the middle of The Marlowe's shopping centre

The best coffee shop in hemel Hempstead! Coffee is great and so are the cakes! Also the service is quicker than other coffee shops.

A good selection of vegan cakes (which is mostly what I go for), but lacking in savoury options and a real shame to charge extra money for non-dairy milk.

Lovely staff, food is always fresh amd coffee good although not amazing and they dont offer proper flat white (although this is on the menu its exactly the same as their cappuccino in same size cup), cortado/ macchiato options which is a shame. Location is great, right in the centre of the shops with a free play area and extra seating nearby.

Pleasant experience, wasn't overly busy (we visited on a Sunday afternoon). Ordered almost immediately and sat down straight away. The kids went into the play area opposite whilst we finished our tea.

Love the staff, the toasted sandwiches and the drinks. You can't go wrong relaxing here 💖💖💖

Just stopped for a coffee and chat with friends but found the staff to be cheerful and welcoming and the atmosphere relaxing. The coffee was excellent and good value for money.

Muffin Break is a café style Al fresco-esque establishment in the centre aisle of Marlowes Shopping Centre. I was most pleased to learn that they vend vegan muffins as I am vegan. I had one with a black coffee. The coffee was weak and the muffin was soft and fluffy but bland. My girlfriend was happy with her hot chocolate, of which she was most complimentary and loved her muffin. Horses for courses, as they say. I didn't pay, so I am unsure of the value. The table was thoroughly wiped down before we sat. All in all, a comforting sit down and mixed emotions regarding the products on offer. The staff were all pleasant and the place seemed well run. Not quite five stars though.

Lovely muffins in a good variety of flavours. The gluten free muffins are the best I've ever tasted. Sometimes lucky enough to eat them freshly baked! Staff are friendly and remember you.

Had a lovely afternoon birthday treat with a fabulous cappuccino and vegan muffin ! They a selection of cakes, sandwiches and toasties to choose from. Icing on the cake - the amazing staff who are extremely friendly and polite ! Definitely recommend the Muffin Break for a little break between shopping or a treat for a special occasion 👍🏼😊

Love the hot chocolate in there, along with other various drinks and you can always have a quick bite to eat if you want, really good for value.

Terrible. Ordered our food and got told it was out for delivery but never got anything. Tried calling them but the number isn't even a local Hemel number. Terrible. Update on the order..... It arrived over an hour late and was freezing cold.

I love this place very much. They have gluten free muffins savory and sweet as well and a lots of variation. Everything is fresh and taste good. The staff is always very kind and helpful. I'm glad they are open again and I can go and grab my favourites.

Like the drinks they do, they're all fab but every time I've been there I've had a cake and something just doesn't taste right? Maybe leaving a cheesecake under a hot light isn't a fab idea?

Even though it can be a bit loud in the middle of the centre, the service is amazing and the coffees and Chai Latte here are so good, the muffins and cakes are great too, would definitely recommend😆

Chocolate with marshmallows are great apart from that its place to stop rest have a nice sandwich and relax watch ppl walk either side of you.price high .but I guess their rates are also high.clean and I'm the middle of shopping floor.

Very friendly staff and fantastic service, the ladies are always willing to help and make your trip special. The food is fantastic with a selection of fresh sandwiches, flatbreads, paninis, muffins, cakes ect. All available warmed, they will offer this to you at the till. Portion sizes are very good and well matched for price. The pigs in blankets flatbread is to die for along with a mouth watering warmed blueberry muffin...would recommend to anyone visiting Hemel Hempstead who is looking for a tasty well priced lunch. Thanks ladies! Your customer service skills are unmatched anywhere! Look forward to visiting again...Xx

My father in law loves their bacon and brie panini, I enjoyed a chorizo, mozzarella, peppers and basil flatbread. Very nice coffee. Nice friendly staff and great service. Good disabled toilet facilities.

Stopped off by chance for a quick lunch. Had a delicious chicken, chorizo and mozerella pannini, and a milkshake. Much nicer atmosphere than the more well-known coffee shops, and fresher food. Staff were friendly, happy and it took no more than 5 minutes, if that, for my food to arrive.

Staff are lovely, muffins are quite dry.

The best muffins when warmed up and accompanied with one of their lovely hot chocolates. Also have little kiddies corner inside cafe with a few toys and a small table and chair, not to mention being right next to new indoor play frame in the Marlows (which has a slide and a couple bits to clambor on).

Food and Drinks are always yummy! Food looks amazing and fresh. The staff are so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much for them! Such a lovely atmosphere to sit alone or with company. There is a child’s play area which is great for keeping little ones occupied while you eat/drinks. There is also a customer toilet which is always clean. Highly recommend

O wow, what a discovery. This is the best place in town for a coffee, snack, cake, whatever. Everything is super fresh, delicious and kids play area just outside. Stop searching, just go there and have your time with a cuppa. Enjoy!

Tables were not very clean but drinks choices were good and their food range was quite tempting

Been here several times. Food is good, especially the muffins. They offer to warm them for you as well. Cheaper than the usual Starbucks and Costa too but not by much

This is not one of my favourite places to go. The coffee is nice but a lot of the cakes taste eggy 🤔... But its the only place I know that has a play area for your little ones.

Lovely café, very nice coffee and a handful collection for muffins and sandwiches.

Used to be good but since the change of ownership it has gone down. Filthy tables they clear them but never clean them and after several visits it always seems to be the same. If the tables are dirty it makes you wonder about is the food preparation clean!

Freezing in here - they should ensure the heating is on to ensure their customer's comfort. Nice muffins. Coffee ok.
