Muffins where dry, and needed a drink to wash it down Was too busy talking so didn't listen to my order Rhen had to wait an extra 10 minutes for my son to finally get his latte Staff weren't very friendly

Overall this coffee shop has a lot of potential - the staff are amazing - however the lack of AC in summer makes this store very uncomfortable - I have raised this issue with the local management over the last 2 months and was told they were looking for a spare part !! seriously if this happened to someone living in a residential home - a couple of calls would have sorted it out with a fix-it call out !

There is a female member of staff who is on a mission to be nasty. I have been in the cafe on many many occasions in the past with my dog in an enclosed dog carrier. This woman, who may or may not be the manager, is definitely on a vendetta. She has been rude in the past but today I thought I'd give it another try. The other staff are lovely. I stood near the doorway - today holding my dog as I was planning to sit outside - but I needed to just look at the food on display to choose. This staff member immediately targeted me & told me to sit outside & they would serve me. I said could I not just look at the food choices first? She said 'I have told you before about dogs' very sternly as if talking to a child. No one else has ever complained about my dog in the carrier. I understand the rules & am not a rule breaker just wanted some lunch peacefully. I actually love sitting in that cafe. The food is a bit pricey. I was feeling particularly low & my dog is my life saver. The cafe was virtually empty - NOT SURPRISING. I thought they may want my custom as I have been a good customer in the past. But hey, we all have our story but that woman was not interested that she made someone who was already down feel even worse. I hope she's happy with her empty cafe. Don't wish to ever see her again

As a regular here i will always return - Great seating inside and out and great place to have a quiet bite to eat or coffee. Staff are great and attentive and service with a smile. keep it up!

I went to muffin break for a coffee and a cookie. There were lots of people chatting and enjoying themselves. The service was good and it was nice and clean . this made it just right

Fancy a Filthy cup to drink from? Craving a broken teapot with a faulty lid that pours boiling hot water all over you? Yearning for a patronising manager that thinks you can't pour tea properly, devoid of all empathy? His lack of eye contact towards you, truly astonishing. How about a mayonnaise filled sandwich without any nutrients? Ready to clean your hands with one napkin from Ebeneezer Scrooge? Get your daily number of steps going backwards and forwards to the till begging like a dog for another one! And don't forget the apathetic staff Who Stare into the abyss , refusing to provide a warm goodbye or thank you they're so highly motivated? What about treasuring violent sounds from the kitchen, resembling something out of The Exorcist? If this is them at the best, I'd hate to see them at their worst. Never again will I set foot in there. Place should be renamed from Muffin Break, to Give Me An Effin Break, or Scrooge's Grotty Grotto Cafe.

I had never been to this cafe before and I will NEVER be returning to the high Wycombe branch due to their terrible customer service. I was spoken to completely unprofessionally, they dealt with a situation involving my child disgustingly! Would not advise anybody with children to visit here, not welcoming to families at all! The lady with the tattoo on her neck was completely obnoxious and outright rude. These employees are ruining what could be a lovely little cafe.

This is the worst place to eat in High Wycombe. The staff are obnoxious and poorly trained. Aggressive behavior towards it's customers and they even mimic you in a childish way. Manager comes across weak and unable to control his staff. He requires training in hospitality and is totally responsible for the culture of this business!! Go to Starbucks or Costa for amazing service and a chilled out atmosphere. Dont waste your money in this awful controlling atmosphere. To the franchiser of Muffin Break, you need to take a serious look at the image this store is portraying for your brand!

I popped in for a snack the other day. I had the triple stack, usually very nice. Sadly not so this time, as the top was totally burnt. I should have taken a pic, but was hungry, so ate it anyway.

Awful service ,stuff is very rude and lack of customer service especially blonde manager ,she was mimicking with her colleagues about us in-front of Asian manager ,seems like it’s normal for them to treat their customers this way ,very uncomfortable experience with my children.In the end we took our food and went to Starbucks. Never again !! Don’t waste your money !!! Choose Starbucks or Costa instead .

We had a chicken chorizo and mozzarella toastie Plus an americano not as nice as it sounds unfortunately My coffee wasn’t great so I looked forward to my toastie it didn’t have much filling and was very bready so overall I was dissatisfied I ate there before usually really nice Hopefully a one off

Unpleasant staff, Looking through the glass window was 4 white english ladies/staff gossiping and staring at us!? I’m 8 months pregnant & have a 17 month old baby ordered a hot chocolate for my niece to sit outside was told i need a takeaway to sit outside. Feeding my 1 year old baby outside and after 10 mins a lady came out and said she was told that we cannot sit there as we ordered a takeaway hot chocolate? I said i can feed my baby though right? She paused then said i was told you can’t sit there and you must leave. Unreal… will never go here again with my baby, niece or sister-in-law! So rude and they werent even busy.

A pot of tea is £2.50 Don't go to Muffin Break in Wycombe if you prefer strong tea as a 2nd tea bag is another £2.50 !

I ordered an oat FW, 60p supplement for oat milk- crazy!, turns out they gave me a latte instead anyway! I asked for a Biscoff Duffin and on our travels home we discovered we had been given a Nutella Duffin… luckily no nut allergies!! Have tried to call them 3 times but no answer.. hoping they have sorted out their allergy labels! Afraid it’s overpriced and disappointing

Firstly, £3 for a small bottle of coke is a joke! The food definitely doesn’t match its prices and looks nothing like advertised! No care taken when preparing our food! Looks like a dogs dinner!

Always have loved the food here. So many choices of sandwiches/ panni, bagels and wraps and freshly made along with a wide choice of fresh baked muffins.

I am giving the muffin break a 2 star rating because i ordered 2 Panini’s 1 tuna and the other cheese and bacon. The bacon tasted like in was cooked a week ago, and the bread was very hard. Whilst we were eating the chairs around us were being stacked up ready for closing. we asked when closing time was and they replied ‘don’t worry we close in a hour we just stack the chairs to stop people coming in and sitting down. There was also more flys then customers flying around.

Worths try the snacks in this place, there is a big variety of snacks, flatbreads, paninis and cakes. Coffee isn’t great unfortunately, doesn’t taste very well.

This small cafe is close to the mainstream shops and sells plenty of hot drinks and rather stodgy cakes and scones. Felt £5 coffee and croissant was too much and not that special. Service ok.

Recently visited and unfortunately my experience here was very disappointing and poor, I don’t expect much but when you ask what is in an item they can’t even seem to get it right, and I purchased an item not suitable for myself, so be aware if you have allergies or intolerances or special requests. When I challenged the server as to why he didn’t inform me after I realised the item wasn’t suitable baring in mind I specifically requested to know what was in the item they did replace it but without very much of an apology, I went and spoke to someone else and I raised the issue again then they tried to tell me he did apologise - and that I was wrong in my view not great customer service an apology at this stage would have been sufficient but I left feeling disappointed and never wanting to return

Blueberry muffin was dry and tasteless, coffee was watery and tasteless. Expensive for what it is and place was dirty. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Although their desserts look appetising, that is not the case as their big chocolate chip muffins are not sweet and have a plain taste. Their hot chocolate is dreadful, and the chocolate chip milkshake was not only expensive but it also was not great.

A little expensive I think: coffee and muffin nearly £5, but maybe that's the going rate? How we the place is clean, the staff pleasant and the muffins tasty. I would recommend a stop here if you are in the area or shopping at Eden.

Had a toastie and cake each. Toasties were nice but unspectacular, the cake also. Had an apple juice which tasted very strange and the staffed refused to swap it for something else, were even quite rude about it; poor service. Wouldn't visit again

Este lugar era mi lugar favorito para una cerveza en High Wycombe, lastima que ya no es el caso. Mientras compras de navidad en el 23 de diciembre que pasó por una cerveza con un amigo como yo he hecho muchas veces antes, sin embargo me emocionó a cargar 5 libras. 60 2 tazas de té! !

Visited here on a busy Saturday and other places were too crowded so we stopped here as there was room to sit inside, had Panini's and coffee and it was tasty, the coffee was the best I have tasted, the coffee was not served first as most café's do, they bought the food and drink to the table at the same time, it made a huge difference, usually you have finished the drink before eating. Polite staff and tables were cleaned often, great stop for a break.

After reading all the reviews I decided to leave my impress as well.I find the staff efficient and friendly, especially during busy lunchtimes. We've had coffee and muffins here, as well as paninis. The coffee is definitely miles better than any Starbucks or Costa, the muffins are delicious: Fluffy, rather large but not too sweet, major plus for me! Even the toasted paninis are nice, the roast vegetable one always is full of actual veg flavour.One thing I'd like to mention as well: If you eat in, you are invited to choose a seat and wait to be served. Some previous reviewers seem to have had a problem with this, personally I find it quite pleasant not to wait next to the till.Prices are average for a coffee shop but keep in mind the good quality you're getting. We always stop by when in town.

Popped in here after shopping with granddaughter and daughter in law. I was delighted to find they serve a very nice gluten ham and cheese muffin as I was only going to have a cup tea this was lovely to find I didn't have to wait for until I got home. My granddaughter and daughter in law thought their muffins were very tasty though a bit big but that's a personal issue, the service was polite and quick but we were the only ones there at the time not sure what it would be like if it was busy as I did have to repeat my order a couple of times as the waitress seemed a bit nervous may have been new of course. On the whole I would go back if only to buy the gluten free muffins

This morning I visited Muffin break and was served quickly and promptly but with little interaction from the staff who seemed more concerned about chatting to one another than to tend to customers. I ordered a muffin for my 2 year old and I ordered a flat white. After a short wait a cup of coffe was banged down in front of me with no apology for the wait. After I tasted the coffee it was more like a cup of warm milk (flat white gives you a strong coffee taste with a little amount of milk) I went back to the counter and asked the lady if she had mixed up my order as what I had wasn't what I asked for, and she looked at me as if I was stupid and went well if you want it stronger your going to have to pay for it (meaning an extra shot of expresso) I said that it wasn't acceptable and that I would not pay, for another college to stomp over and say well its coffee isn't it what's the problem? I promptly left after being told I could not have a refund as I paid by card?!? I left with the four women behind the counter looking and speaking to me like dog muck. I really hope managment reads these reviews as something seriously needs addressed.

After buying muffins here several times as take away I decided to eat in and have a coffee. I will never go there again. The service at the till was polite and friendly when they took my order but it was down hill from there. I had ordered a latte which was served on a saucer in a glass. The girl who bought it over had a face like thunder and was not gently putting down the tray. I smiled and said thank you. She just glared at me. As I stirred in sugar the glass toppled over. Coffee went everywhere on the floor, all over my bag and mostly over my legs. Luck I was wearing full length boots. I looked round for a waitress and the one who had bought my order was behind me. I smiled and smiled and said sorry but my coffee had split. All I got was another glare and a tut. She stomped off. Another girl then appeared with a tea towel. Stood in front of me again glaring. I had to push a chair to get out of her way she then started to mop the floor with t he cloth. Not one word said to me. I apologised to both girls even though I think it happened because the glass was not stable in the saucer. No concern th a t I could have been injured. Just nasty silent aggressive attitude.

This is a well established, friendly place. I often meet friends here for coffee and catch up. The coffee is good, the reward card a nice touch. Also the loo is clean always a consideration for me. The prices are okay, give it a try !

Went in MB High Wycombe on Thursday 5th Feb 2015 at around 5.50pm (10 mins before closing). Black girl served us and had a stinking attitude. I wanted Americano with cream. She just couldn't understand. I was asked 3 times and was spoken to as if I was a child. She called me a liar (in so many words) saying that I hadn't made myself clear what I wanted. My friend ordered a tea. We sat down (only 2 people in there) and waited ages for drinks to come out; in fact so long that I nipped over to JD Sport and back and it still hadn't come out. Although I noticed that she did have time to have a drink herself. When our 2 drinks did finally appear, she grabbed my friends milk off the tray and went off with it. Turns out she had given 2 creams. He then had to get up and ask her what she was doing. The friendly manager wasn't about, but we will be letting him know what is going on and who he needs to be getting rid of. The next day I checked my MB loyalty card (which I do most times as I don't trust them to always add the points on) and sure enough only ONE drink was put on my card.

I dont really call myself an offionado of coffee shops but Muffin Break in High Wycombe always seem to give you a personal touch that is not there with other franchises Starbucks Costa etc. They always deliver your drink and food to your table and take that extra bit of time with your coffee to add the nice design in thr froth. Coffee always tastes good and is not over hot.

I had a coffee with my girlfriend and snack, I had a latte but when it arrived it was in a class but with no handle so by the time it cooled enough for me to handle it was cold never good. The staff seemed not very fused with the custome as she did a dump and run with are drinks and snack not very chatty or concerned about are experience. Apart from that it's not bad nice coffee at good prices.

Bit stressful at start since the waitress got very confused taking our order at the till. Literally had to repeat it 10 times before she was confident to press the buttons.In the end our coffees were hot and strong. The cheese scones were (slightly) warmed, as we had requested. Only one jam for alarge fruit scone wasn't enough. The piece of chocolate caramel was tasty, but base very dry.

Stopped for a quick cup of coffee and snack, which was quite a very satisfactory drink, however, the visit was ruined by an older 'Gentleman' that insisted on smoking an electric cigarette. He argued with those sitting nearby that they were legal to smoke anywhere. Staff seemed to be avoiding the issue but should have enforced the no smoking anywhere in the Centre(MK) rules.There are fumes from electronic cigarettes so should not be inflicted on the unwary customers

The Muffin Break serves a very decent cup of coffee, also the menu choices are good. The service is good and quick. I like the prices also, not too expensive. The loyalty card is good get so many stamps on the card and you get free drink.I like to visit this place and catch up with friends.

Good coffee at good prices. Staff were helpfull and friendly. Only down side no toilet facilities which when your friend has a baby who needs changing is not ideal.
