first thing is the cakes and sandwiches are a nice change from the other coffee shops in the ashley centre / epsom as they are unique and contain things the other places don’t! they are pricey but every time taste delicious!! can get very busy so i would recommend ordering takeaway incase you can’t get a table.. no toilets inside which is a bit of a pain but can always go to the toilets inside the shopping centre so no big whoop! staff seem friendly and it’s always busy so seems like most people like it!! 🫶🏻

Bacon roll is reheated. It’s not a roll, it’s sliced very hard bread, very dry. Bacon is not bacon, more some kind of ham. Horrible

The coffee is alright, but l wouldn't go again. It's all rather rushed and impersonal at the tills, and far too noisy. No toilets either, instead you are directed to the Ashley Centre wcs at the other end of the shopping centre, which is of no use while you are a customer in Muffin Break as you would lose your table by the time you get back.

Go to muffin break roughly once a week, this week (Saturday), was a bad day for the staff. They were busy when we arrived but we got a table. We ordered and sat down. We watched orders coming out all the while our order was half done and one the try waiting for rest of the order. We eventually received cold stewed tea and cold teacakes, the only hot thing was our coffees which had only just been made. First time this has happened, hope this is not how things are going - downhill! If it happens again it will be the last time as we will not be returning.

Was warmly greeted, great service as usual. Very respectful to elderly customers and those with dietary requirements. Quiet and pleasant to sit down in. Great variety of food that include vegan and gluten-free options. Ordered hot drinks and cakes, the cakes are to die for, absolutely perfect! The hot drinks are good, slightly large so maybe order a small. Love the murals on the walls and the friendly chatter of staff. Great location, quiet and peaceful despite being in a high traffic area. Generally lots of space but sometimes busy.

I was shopping at my local shopping centre earlier this week. Halfway through the outing our party decided to stop and have something to eat as we were peckish. So we stopped at Muffin Break where I had a tasty sausage roll and the others had cold drinks as well. I enjoyed eating my sausage roll. The food on offer is good too. If you are in the area, you must visit at least once to sample their banana cake. I recommend this popular and busy coffee shop. Service is good. The staff are professional on top of that. I certainly love eating here in addition.

I have visited this cafe a number of times now - always with fidgety whinging children in tow! and they have never failed to totally exceed my expectations. The staff are attentive, and engage with my children every time, the food is always fresh whatever time of day - we visited today at 5pm and everything was fresh, we did initially pop into Costa but very quickly left as the food looked old and not appealing at all. We were greeted as soon as we entered Muffin Break by smiling happy staff who couldn't do enough for us - they warmed the chocolate cake which i have to say is the best I've ever had (a real statement for a chocoholic thats sampled a lot of chocolate cake in my time!) I really think that Costa needs to pull their socks up - they are complacent and depend 100% on their name. I find Costa grotty, food everywhere on the seats and the staff miserable. Muffin Break is a total breath of fresh air. 5 star cafe

It's the fireworks weekend and I popped in the Muffin break as last time I visited it was a great experience. This time it was busy.and the staff were very attentive. I soon as I gazed on the lovely food on offer there was a smiling welcoming face from one of the staff with the great words "can help you". My small order was processed in a jiffy. The one thing I like about this place is they tell you to sit down on you favourite comfy seat and they bring you the order to your table. I must say its just nice to have your order brought to you rather than other coffee places like you do the balancing act with a tray laden with coffee and fend for yourself. The place was nice and clean there's enough places to sit and it great for the family stop and kids can enjoy thier meals. I do like this place it's how coffee shops should be efficient pleasant and happy staff. I will come again and again

Absolutely disgusted with how I was treated in there by the manager today. It was my first outing with my newborn and I bought a coffee (more expensive than other coffee shops) and started to feed my baby, who, being newborn took sometime to feed. I, without going into detail have been poorly since having my baby and started to feel quite unwell and as I couldn't leave my table to go to the counter thought I'd try to eat a small bite that I had in my bag in the hope that it would help; when the manager stormed over and demanded I leave as I was eating my own food. I tried to explain why and he just kept saying thank you thank you thank you to me which totally infuriated me. I will NEVER return to this cafe as felt extremely embarrassed and ostracised by your rude and unsympathetic manager.

Popped in here for a break with my family during a shopping trip and as someone with a sweet tooth was excited by all the cakes and muffins on display. We chose a number of items on display to share (there were 4 of us) but all of the cakes seemed to be cold and therefore to have been chilled. This meant that they had a slightly 'stale' taste to them. Similarly we had a milkshake which was thin and unremarkable and while it was a very family friendly experience (there were a lot of parents and children) the overall result was unremarkable and I doubt we'll be visiting again.

It was early lunchtime on Saturday and we had got off the bus with two hungry children wanting lunch but as we walked along the high street we realised most suitable places would already be full up. Into the shopping centre we noticed Muffin Break had a few empty tables so we headed in there and immediately the staff took our orders at the counter. Children had the milkshake specials and tomato with basil soup and a toasted cheese and ham sandwich. Adults had cappuccino and flat white and tuna cheese melt and sausage roll. We ate it all but the children needed some help with the drinks but we were all satisfied for lunch. Going to the toilet meant going to the public conveniences in the shopping centre. Visited the Muffin Break on Sunday past, so glad it was open at 1000 hours as the rest of the shopping centre didn't open till 1030 hours so a nice half hour to kill with two kids that are always HUNGRY!!!! Usually shunning such places as Costa, Nero and so on mainly due to prices & questionable taxation habits!!!!! We were welcomed in by the barista and given SO much choice of what to eat - so took the kids ages to decide, once one had picked something, the other wanted it as well, and then the first one changed their mind yet again!!! Anyway, once a regular latte, a diet coke and two bambinos (baby cappuchinos for un-initiated) along with two cookies the size of a small frisbee, the barista offered to bring our tray over once all was ready. For £11 odd we didn't think that was too bad, compared to the big brand rivals (trying to keep their tax profits no doubt)!! The whole place was very clean and very inviting, with, as already mentioned, many, many choices to make! Once served the children set about demolishing the cookies, have you ever seen a double chocolate chip cookie dipped in a bambino? Warning - don't try this at home or out, the mess is unbelievable!! With both little (allegedly) stomachs full, we then ventured out into the shopping centre in order to complete the dreaded Sunday shopping - mind you, much better than a Saturday, I must admit.

Went in for a quick coffee and bite to eat with my husband, the staff were pushing a mars bar type muffin, so we ordered this another muffin, a coffee and a hot chocolate. Firstly, the coffee, not sure why but it had no flavour and was really, just hot water and milk that resembled coffee, the hot chocolate was not very chocolaty, and the mars muffin was dire, my muffin was also very dry, and really not worth the money at all. First time we had been here, so did not complain, we just wont go there again and wont recommend this to anyone. I work in Epsom and there are far better places to get a decent coffee.

The floor was very clean. Chairs and furniture was clean. They had a good selection of cakes sandwich and drinks. The staff looked happy in what they were doing and making sure the customer orders was taken to their table. This is a good idea as customers could avoid spilling their products as they walk to their seats. It would seem to me that these guys are very well trained in how a cafe should be run. The nicely wooden wall art makes this a very comfortable experience with just the right lighting. Pricing is reasonably and I would recommend coming here again if your in the area.

We came here at the end of a dog walk and wanted to see what the new manager had done with the place, and we were pleasantly impressed. We had a chat with the new landlord, sorry we didn’t ask your name, and he’s really trying to turn this bar into what it should be, a place where all can come and drink and relax in their community. Wanna play darts, pool and watch football there’s a bar for that, wanna sit and drink with family or in nice surroundings on your own? There’s a bar for that. Please whatever you thought of the bar before come down and try it out now, they’re really making the effort to make sure they cater for all whilst removing some of the stigma of yesteryear, it can only do this if we all do our bit and keep them thriving.
