Mu Mu: Lounges. Cabaret. Club in Maidstone

A disappointing time last Saturday. Expected so much more. Be warned, they cancel events without warning, and when asked about it, offer "prosecco" fail to answer the phone and fail to provide the experience paid for. Which in my opinion wasn't cheap. Had I known the entertainment was changed to a very different, white Bob Marley singer, I'd have changed my plans, and gone elsewhere... It's probably a great venue on a good day. This was not it.

Had Sunday roast today at Mumu. Can highly recommend. The food was excellent, cannot fault anything. New extension to building on front is fabulous. Thanks also to the serving staff who were efficient and friendly.

Brilliant Afternoon Tea! Sandwiches fresh and well packed and various fillings. Fruit scone with jam and cream was delicious. Cake pieces were well made and delicious. All homemade, will definitely go there again!

Came for a “masquerade” bottomless brunch for a hen do. Promised a magician and a caracarurist, neither of which materialised. Absolutely no explanation for this and when asked offered 1 free drink to the bride and told us to put an email in. No explanation makes me think that was never intended to be provided. Overall making the afternoon expensive for what it was and a let down for the bride. They did not even have the decency to tell us, just hoped we wouldn’t notice?! Would not recommend.

Came to a Wild West/cowgirl themed bottomless brunch on Friday night for my friend’s 50th birthday. A fantastic night! Sherbet Dip was our host and she was brilliant, getting everyone up and dancing and singing along. She has a Gorgeous voice too! The drinks flowed a plenty, but as a non drinker I had a yummy mocktail so wasn’t left out at all. Food was good too, I had the Vegan burger - so they cater for all! Everyone dressed up and got into the spirit of the night. Definitely recommend.

Massive shout out to Bj, best server! We NEVER had an empty glass and he even accommodated my orange allergy by adapting the drinks on offer!! NOTE FOR MANAGMENT: Drink selection could be wider (all drinks except beer and prosecco is orange based, maybe add in a strawberry or other flavour)

I attended the Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday evening for a hen do; there were 16 of us! We were all so impressed with the service; Lenny, our server, was so attentive to refilling our drinks. The bottomless was definitely bottomless, we never had an empty glass. Madame Mumu also put on a great show. I would recommend this for any occasion! (The food was slightly disappointing, but you don't really attend these things for the food!!)

The venue is stunning and the food was lovely. However, the prosecco at the brunch was served warm. The entertainment was on for an hour after the brunch. There was no entertainment during the brunch. I booked the RnB brunch but didn't get the RnB brunch- we got the drag brunch. The young fella pouring the drinks was nice enough but didn't communicate how long we had left on the brunch and he didn't top up my drink before our 2 hours finished. I've been on better brunches. The Cabaret show of an evening is spectacular. I'll stick to the Cabaret in future.

nice place to drink, it was a little quiet for a Saturday but people were slowly flocking in. seemed to be a place for hen parties or at least a starting location for some. nice atmosphere and all in all a pretty venue to drink at.

The food was delicious, well presented and hot. I really enjoyed it. I was so disappointed with the cabaret though. Madame Mumu was awful. I spent more time laughing through shock than comedy. She had absolutely awful potty mouth. Saying the “see you next Tuesday” word as a form of comedy was boring after saying it so many times. All the chat about taking Cocaine wasn’t funny either and blatantly encouraging drug use wasn’t my idea of fun. I really think you need to think about the material you’re using and up your game. We visited for a Christmas party several years ago which was so funny, so this visit I really felt let down. The actual venue is beautiful though. Really stylish and appears well maintained. I always judge a venue by the toilets, and they were spotless.

We had a fabulous afternoon celebrating our friends Hen do on Saturday 6th April. Our waitress i was told called Evie she had long blonde hair, was absolutely the best ❤️ she went above and beyond for us and we all think she is a credit to your Team. Also the drag artist was a lovely fella and was the barman and doormen.....they were all so polite and friendly. The young lad that started later clearing the tables im sorry to say needs to learn some people skills as was quite offish at times and could come across as rude. Lasagne was over cooked and very salty sorry to say so not sure what im going to have when i come back in july as i dont eat burgers 😬.

I visited with a group of 14 people on Good Friday for the Karen Brunch and we had such a great time! The food, service, and entertainment were all incredible. Our brilliant server Izzy was appropriately rude to us (in keeping with the "Karen" theme of course!) and we loved it!! The Madame and Sherbet Dip are phenomenal drag queens and performers and they really made our night. It was a shame a real life "Karen" thought it was appropriate to throw a drink over The Madame, but after she left and took her Kat Slater coat with her the vibe definitely lightened. This is the second drag show i've been to at Mu Mu and it is honestly one of the best nights out in Maidstone. All of the staff are really friendly and The Madame and Sherbet Dip are so lovely (apart from when they're being Karen's obviously!) and they really create a good atmosphere. We will definitely be back! One final note, DON'T GO TO A KAREN SHOW IF YOU ARE A REAL KAREN!!!!

I was there last night for selection and I was over the moon! The show, the food, the organisation, the vauchers for tbe club, amazing way to make us go there... Everything was incredible.. The only one I thought to be better was the music at the club. Everything else was 5*. Thank you so much!!!

I booked the country themed brunch for the 12th January for my 21st celebrations, the booking was for 15 people including myself and cost £710. The booking process was easy and the staff were lovely, apart from the fact that 4 days before I was sent an email about a meal change so had to chase 14 people to get their new menu choices, there was no reason for this change and they played it off as a decision, due to the previous menu not being a hit. When attending the brunch me and friends were shocked to see that our country brunch and people from downstairs, attending fifi brasserie having a three course had been put together in the upstairs room due to low numbers. This completely changed the atmosphere of the room and the whole night. This then explained the menu change. I complained to a manager and was told an email was sent out making us aware of this, I showed all my emails from mumu's and proved I never received an email informing me of this change. If I knew of this change I would have gone elsewhere. When the music started we had half cabaret and half country, only two songs were played that were country themed, this was so disappointing as my party had dressed for the country theme and songs. There was no decorations to the country theme and when seeing other country brunches with hay barrels and balloons and the entertainers dressed for the country occasion this really annoyed and disappointed me and my friends. The service for drinks was slow, we didn't receive our first drinks until 7:45pm, at this point we had been there for 15 minutes. When attending a brunch that is limited to 2 hours of unlimited drinks every minute counts. When the food came out, most people in my group weren't happy with their food, the lasagna tasted like plastic and the burger was all over the place with presentation and meat was very chewy. When further complaining to the manager, they offered a booth downstairs and some free shots, as I had explained that more than 5 people in my party had left due to being bored and not enjoying the night. With offering the free booth I was also told that when attending the night club section with the booth I could request any country song to make up for the disappointment the brunch had been. When in the night club I approached the DJ and explained everything and that I was told I could request country songs, the DJ said "don't know why they said that, I don't do that music". At this point enough was enough and left shortly after this. For the price of the brunch it wasn't worth it and was very disappointed, this is the worst brunch i have ever attended, it ruined my 21st celebrations and definitely wasn't worth £710. Even when i asked for some sort of compensation I was refused as they still did the country brunch. However on their website it states "Yee-Haw! Saddle up for a night of country & western as sherbet dip transports you to a journey to the heart of Nashville" when actually they meant madame mumu will sing two country songs and the dancer will perform one country song. False advertising! This review is not just one review but 15 reviews, my friends equally didn't enjoy the night and will be writing a following review. Absolute waste of money.

Went here with all my work colleagues for our Christmas party, and I must say I was blown away how amazing it was. The food was top noch and made perfectly. The performances were also stunning with amazing singers and performers, really lifting the atmosphere a lot. If you are looking for a place to go out with friends, I'd definitely recommend it here, and I'll be back more not just for Christmas 10/10

I had an incredible experience at Mumu Maidstone for a comedy night last Thursday. The intimate setting and beautiful decor created a perfect atmosphere. The stand-up comedians had us in stitches throughout the night. The bar food was not only delicious but also exceeded my expectations. The post-show vibe at Nellie Gerkins Irish bar was lively and made it feel like a Saturday night on a Thursday. Overall, a fantastic evening that deserves a 5-star rating!

Great experience at MuMus for bottomless brunch. Service was great and drinks were flowing for the entire two hours. Not forgetting the fabulous Sherbet Dip, who made sure everyone was having a great time and was the real star of the show!

Me and my 3 friends attended your Drag Queen bottomless brunch yesterday. I would just like to say that we all had an amazing time. Amazing food and loved the entertainment. We had a waitress that served our table named Evie. We would really like to sing her praises and compliment her work ethic. A very polite, hardworking and attentive young lady. Just spent the evening at Mumus for what was advertised as a Country music and cocktails night. Food was lovely as usual, however on this occasion I wasn't expecting a drag burlesque act as part of the entertainment. Bottomless drinks was only for the first 2 hours, and then the rest of the evening was not the country music that we were looking forward to. Disappointed, falsely advertised.

First time eating at mumus, but was the best food I’ve eaten in town, well presented, well cooked, the waitress was very polite and was very helpful, service was top end enjoyed my meal and will definitely be going back for food soon

Wouldn't recommend the Karen's experience 4 drinks in 2 hours totally unacceptable for the price we paid.

Visited for the 1st time on Sunday 28th for the Karen's brunch! Paid £40 for 2 hours bottomless brunch and we got 4 drinks all evening whilst other tables around us hadn't even put their empty glass back on the table before it was being refilled again. We only got 1 drink without asking! All seemed very disorganised and we left sober and disappointed! Won't be returning!

We attended the Karen’s brunch on Sunday 28th august and after emailing already had no response. We arrived at the venue early where we were escorted to the bar to have a drink whilst we waited for it to start at 7pm and was told that we would be collected and taken to the upstairs venue. This never happened so we had to ask to be taken to the relevant area to queue for the experience. after we queued from 10 past 7 we got to our table at 7:30. We didn’t get a drink until 7:55 and we were settled. It got to 8:30 when we received a second drink after asking the “Karen’s server” for a drink after waiting so long. This didn’t improve and I had to go to the bar after another 20 minutes to ask for another drink. After the staff realised I wasn’t being a “Karen” and had a genuine issue they told me to sit down and a drink would be brought over. A second time I had to go to the bar again to complain and explain how we had had three drinks in almost 2 hours and that the other tables surrounding us were being served continuously and had several drinks at a time brought over to them. The food we had was cold and one of my tables food the server dropped the pot of coleslaw and he never replaced it. I asked the manager as I was informed for an email address to contact them to express how very disappointed we all were, found the evening a lot less enjoyable after having to continuously asking for a drink. This was our first and most definitely our last visit to the venue which is very upsetting and disappointing.

Had the most amazing 30th Birthday celebration on the 25th of August at Mu Mu’s Cabaret and Dinner Show. Madame Mu Mu is amazing and Kitty is simply 10/10. Service staff were great on the night, no issues. Thanks for a great night.

For the last year we have been planning our wedding with the Mu Mu team, everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined, decor,food,atmosphere and staff all on point. All our guests were in awe of how the place looked and how good the food was. Massive thankyou to Chantelle,Chloe,Kiran,Ben and all the rest of the Mu Mu family for giving us a day to cherish for the rest of our lives.

Excellent night with sherbet dip at the country brunch. Absolutely beautiful voice, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a fun night in maidstone! X

It is really difficult to rate this as requested. We went for a hen night. The food was not great, pate straight out of packet, ciabata bread was rock hard. Beef main was like shoe leather unable to cut with a knife but some others had tender meat. I was told the burgers were great. Potatoes, veg and gravy was lovely. Sticky toffee pudding was nice. The starters were delivered perfectly and cleared - then over an hour and half bottles for our main course and then when we asked were they were were, thats when the staff were not so great but they were a young team and did with a little encouragement did go and try and find out. Then another massive gap may have been 2 hours and not a single dessert for the room. Drinks are extremely expensive - stupid amount but captive audience. The entertainment was brilliant but the music in-between was far to loud. It's not expensive for what it is just needs the kitchen to be polished up to cope with a large number of people in one go. There were serving staff standing around for a large part of the evening - on phones and chatting amongst themselves. It felt like they hoped that they didn't need to serve desserts as people were by that stage were 3 sheets to the wind. I appreciate this is my opinion but just a little disappointed oh and no good if you go on a very hot and muggy night - take fans!

Bought as a gift from friends- booked and pre ordered as required. Food was shocking- dried day old bread topped with tomato and red onion passed of as bruschetta The smallest fillet of salmon with 4 new potatoes , a few grilled cherry tomatoes and a couple of mandolin ribbons of courgette for main course. Staff were lovely but overall overpriced over hyped and poor value. Not the best Saturday night experience.There are better places in Maidstone to have a good evening.

Had a brilliant night out here. Food was excellent and the entertainment was absolutely fantastic. I have never laughed so much. Madame Mu Mu was brilliant. And the lovely Kitty was stunning. I would definitely recommend an evening here. It is very good value for money. Oh and the cocktails are awesome!

Took my mum out for mother's day. The food was fantastic and the wonderful waiting staff where ontop on making sure drinks are always topped up. Highlight of the night is Sherbert Dip who got to know every table and included everyone, she's gorgeous and hilarious. Will be back xx

Came here last week and I have not stopped thinking about the prawn cocktail! It was unreal and I’ll be definitely coming back for more. The service was amazing and the staff made us feel so welcome. They even made me a banner as we was celebrating! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Had a fabulous time at Mumu’s this weekend. We booked the disco brunch for my mums birthday. She loved it! Sherbet dip was amazing! Super friendly and just all round fantastic! Without a doubt the best bottomless in kent and a great price too considering it’s 2 hours of bottomless and decent food too- Dirty burger is amazing. We also did the drag queen on a Sunday and she was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

We joined our lovely friends for a Christmas night out on Saturday and had a brilliant night, we had the bottomless drinks from 7-9pm & 3 course dinner with entertainment, the food was good & plenty of it and the waitresses were really good at keeping our glasses topped up. There were 8 of us & we were a bit squashed round the table but after a few drinks we got used to it!! Sherbert Dip was a brilliant hostess with the mostess, singing & entertaining the crowd, she got us joining in the games to win shots & even had some of us up joining in a rude version of the 12 days of Christmas , really good fun! We were gutted that it all went too quickly & before we knew it Sherberts act was over & so was that part of the evening, we would have been happy to watch another 2 hours of Sherbert!! Would definitely return to Mu Mu’s in the future!!!

Had a great time at the drag queen brunch, the only thing that has made me put 2 stars is the price of drinks.l, which has blown my mind. I ordered 2 single rum and cokes with lime and it was £19.80!!!!!! What the actual hell! Its Maidstone, not central London. Well then your bar attendants are ripping people off because I 100% asked for 2 singles and myself and the person I was with saw her make them and they were definitely singles but I was charged £19.80.

Would recommend to anyone who wants a great time, (celebrating or not) good food, excellent waitress service, hilarious drag queen.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience at this place. My partner and I went here for a drink and walked into the club area at the back to see the white DJ had his face painted Black. I was left extremely upset by this and had to leave without finishing our drinks. There is no excuse for this utterly racist behaviour and no one else calling it out. Its 2022 when will it stop?!

Used to really rate their lunch time food but I do not know what’s happend their wrap was filled with pure oil chips were undercooked everyone’s dish was not to standard really sad this place is going down hill on the food quality

Stop for lunch at mu mu was amazed to open the door and find such splendid decoration, we were greeted by the general manager in warm and friendly manner great host. We had a wonderful lunch not too expensive for the quality of the food. chef don’t forget heavenly Banoffee !!!!!

Great atmosphere and all staff were polite and attentive. Couldn't fault the food either. However, we felt let down by the lack of transparency of the 'bottomless drinks'. Only after we had ordered and finished our first drinks were we informed that we had to stick with that drink for the duration. This wasn't what we had in mind and we didn't enjoy our drink after the first couple. This information wasn't shared and we probably wouldn't book again for that reason.

This is the 2nd time we have eaten at MuMu's and we had the good fortune to have Archie as our waiter again !! Archie remembered us and even what we had to drink in April this year! Amazing chateaux briand! Fantastic service from all the staff! Including Shannon in the Irish bar section!! We will continue to recommend and use your food and hospitality services! We had the pleasure of visiting the Mu Mu: Lounges and cabaret last night for a hen party. It really did not disappoint. The place was packed with parties celebrating. Despite being so very busy, the food was delicious and being the last party served, it was always hot. It was well staffed, well organised and all the staff were friendly and smiling, despite being very busy. Madame Mu Mu was fantastic and very funny and the burlesque dancer was very talented and spurred us all on to get to the gym!!! I would definitely be happy to visit again and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thankyou for a great evening.

We had an absolutely amazing time. Our cheeks were sore from all the laughter, smiling and blushing. The waiters and waitresses were attentive ( only criticism was they didn't pour the wine throughout the bottle,but not sure if I'm expecting too much) the food was lovely. The show was amazing both Madame mumu and the beautiful dancer really put on quite the show... looking forward for a special occasion to visit Ince again... or maybe just any excuse to go back. Thanks for making our anniversary a fun and memorable one.

FiFis restaurant. Ambient atmosphere, creative food presented well and an amazing, courteous and personable host. There were a few changes to the set menu which worked in my favour as a non meat eater. No short cuts on the set menu and very filling. The other guests had A la carte steak and chicken dishes which were great!

Where to begin?! MuMu hosted our wedding this year and it was absolute perfection! We were supposed to get married in March 2020, but due to the pandemic we had to cancel just days before. MuMu were amazing, despite everything that happened in the past two years, including them having a devastating fire, they always reassured us that they would honour our booking and make sure everything was just as planned for our big day even two years later. Whilst we were planning nothing was too much for Ishty the GM. He was always just a call or text away and happily met with us anytime to discuss and organise. Nothing was too much for him and he coped with not one but TWO stressed out brides! Rob the Head Chef was also brilliant, he met with us twice and created a bespoke vegan menu for our wedding day, He listened to what we wanted and delivered! Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. On the day our guests wanted for nothing and we were just blown away by the standards that the staff kept. If a knife was dropped it was replaced within seconds, if a glass was empty it was refilled. The most important and special mention must go to Harvey-Hugo, who went above and beyond in absolutely every aspect for the entire day and night of our wedding. Every time we worried about something he was there fixing the problem and easing our anxieties. His attention to detail was next to none. He ensured everything ran smoothly, everything happened at the right time and everyone was happy. And he did it all with such a charismatic manner that made everyone smile. He really made our day that little bit more special (if that's possible!). MuMu exceeded our expectations and we HIGHLY recommend this wonderfully beautiful venue and it's highly experienced team for any bespoke event. Thank you so much to all the staff at MuMu - we waited a long time for our special day and you made it perfect!

Door staff assault male customers , for no reasonable reason . I dont recommend this club for a night out unless you enjoy heavy handed door staff abusing you . I complained the bext day and the Manager / Owner said he would investigate never hear back .

Excellent quality of food and service in a very pleasant resteraunt.

I attended a dinner last night at Mu Mu, five adults and three children were present at our table. The meal was delicious, the staff were so attentive and the decor very interesting. The highlight of the evening though, was when sorbet was requested as a desert for the three boys, the Manager explained they didnt have any and suggested Haribos. The boys were thrilled to say the least. A short time later the Manager appeared with three dishes, each containing two Haribo ice lollies and several Haribo sweets. The boys were ecstatic and we were so very impressed with the thoughtfulness and quick thinking of the Manager. Well worth a visit again,

This was a surprise birthday treat by my girlfriends and my 1st experience of a bottomless brunch. We had booked the 1pm afternoon session with a drag queen dj. We were promptly seated and social distancing guidelines were apparent. Our drinks order was taken and quickly our choices arrived. The prosecco was a good quality but the cocktails were whilst well garnished a little underwhelming. Unfortunately you are not able to change to different drink but we made them drinkable by topping up with prosecco. The preordered food arrived shortly after our drinks and it was good quality and nice and hot. The drag queen dj was brilliant so funny and really worked the room and drummed up a fantastic party atmosphere. The music was brilliant and finally our preordered coctail tree arrived. All in all a fantastic venue, great food and wonderful friendly service. Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back again

The bottomless brunch here is by far one of the best! They literally take your glass away as soon as it's empty and bring over a new one so you really feel like you're actually getting bottomless. 100% recommend!!!!
