M&S Simply Food in Bristol, City of

I bit into an earring aid battery whist eating a M&S cheese and onion bake. I reported it to M&S who informed me that, following investigation 😂, they found their systems to be robust and that it could not have come from one of their products. This implies that I am lying and, importantly, they have not apologised for the toxic matter discovered in one of their food items. They have offered me £15.00. I have, of course, rejected it. M&S continue to state that there is nothing more they can do. In my opinion, they can acknowledge that I am telling the truth. I shall not be shopping in M&S until this matter is resolved. Potential customers of cheese and onion bakes beware!

El sábado pasado fuimos de compras al parque Imperial de Bristol. Era un día frío y lluvioso. Fuimos al centro de comida M&S y usamos el café para el almuerzo. El servicio era frío, el café se sentía frío y no había techo. Más como una situación de almacén. Elección de comida muy limitada. No hay calor en la cafetería y el personal. Venga. Es M&S. Renovar este café.

Me encanta esta cadena para viajeros en movimiento. En realidad frecuentaba la ubicación en el aeropuerto de Gatwick. Gracias, las "ofertas de comida" eran buenas ofertas y tenían excelentes opciones.

Siempre es un placer saber lo que vas a conseguir. Buenos pasteles. Aparcamiento bastante fácil. Un montón de espacios para discapacitados. El personal es muy amable.

¿Cómo lo hicieron? Una y otra vez, la comida y las combinaciones son excelentes. Además toda la comida se siente tan fresca

I had the lentil soup whuch was served with a warm roll and butter. Good thick soup..it was quick easy and I felt warmed and nicely nourished.

Not sure why I was suprised at the total lack of any ambience as the other M&S cafes we have visited have been no better. Cannot understand why such a prestigious store can do no better than produce an eating place that is almost beneath basic. Cold looking, bare of any decor and totally lacking in any atmosphere. Only called in for a tea/coffee and toasted tea cake and have to admit that everything was very nice as you would expect. Staff were pleasant and helpful although it did appear to be lacking any cohesion - no knives when we arrived, although the lady did say they were just coming out of the dish washer and she brought us one quite quickly, no napkins supplied with the tea cake either. This area is very short of a good coffee shop but will endeavour to find somewhere else if possible. Don't think we shall be back.

Nothing very good with regards to surroundings, range of food on offer or service. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired and the presentation of food is poor. Perhaps more staff are needed.

Expected better than this from M&S. Went in for lunch, and had to wait 14 minutes to pay (despite me not ordering a hot drink). Table was dirty and sticky (as were the other unoccupied ones so this was not a one off). Had to wait another 10 minutes for a toasted sandwich that was soggy due to the condensation on the plate where I presume it had been waiting around. And overpriced. Nothing good at all about my visit, hence only 1 point.

Full marks for quality food - it's a limited menu but what is there is lovely. Soups and jacket potatoes with a good choice of fillings. Generous garnish of salad too. Chilled cabinet has a wide selection of drinks. Go early for lunch as some items run out later. The staff are smartly turned out and the tables are clean. What's not to like? Actually, the ambience. It's noisy and there are children adding to the noise. It's rather like a works canteen as the high metal ceiling has a warehouse feel. We are happy with it while shopping.

Bought 2 coffees and tea cakes in a small range of cakes and sandwichs. Coffees were hot, tea cakes were ok. Stanard coporate service. Nothing to complain about yet nothing to shout about.

We visited around 3.30pm and found no sandwiches or salads available, a few toasted sandwiches were still on display, cakes their were none of a individual variety, only slices of lemon drizzle cake were left, bear in mind this Café still had another four hours of trading to complete, shocking, but apparently this is the norm, without nowhere to store backup stock, whilst the display stock is sold that`s it, often to late the next morning, given there`s an instore bakery, thought some effort would have been made to get some pastries and other cakes form it, but no it looked it had been abandoned around midday, as it had a few remaining rolls on display. There was no queue, just as well given the terribly poor service from the two staff working behind the counter, in spite of not being busy tables were full of dirty crockery and discarded food wrappers with the floor area in need of a good sweeping. Having secured our hot drinks and two slices of the lemon drizzle we found a table only to be left to clear it ourselves. The drinks were fine, not the best Coffee we have tasted even in another M&S Café, the cake obviously exposed to the elements all day had become very dry, no Management available in store to raise any issues, average age of staff 18 and they did as they pleased, which in many cases was nothing at all. One Café best avoided.
