Absolutely amazing, from the food to the service, I had a great experience. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially Lucy who efficiently handled my order and was more than happy to chat.

Friday lunch. Very busy but not too long to wait for food. Had the meat and cheese antipasti. Nicely presented. Sadly, let down by the poor cleaning. Tables not cleared or wiped, mess on the floors. If this review was helpful please give it a like below.

Sat down to find my milk jugs chipped and the table sticky and unclean. The lady cleaning the tables was daydreaming and clearing tables at a snails pace. She then proceeded to deliver our food with dirty hands. Not what I would expect from a M&S cafe.

I had a lovely lunch of smoked ham and 3 cheese toastie and a plain Devonshire scone with butter and strawberry jam and to drink I had a bottle of ginger beer and the lady that served me gave me a glass tumbler with ice in it to drink my juice out of,also the lady who gave me my toasted sandwich when ready was really nice as well. It was very quick reliable service I had no time to wait for my order.

What was meant to be a special start to an afternoons shopping outing with my granddaughter on Sat.2nd March in Harrogate was a big disappointment. Our order consisted of tea for one and a soft drink.A luxury egg mayo sandwich, toasted sandwich, one portion of chips and two double chocolate chip buns. My tea pot had a large chip to the top rim and a saucerless cup that didn't look very nice. My luxury egg mayo sandwich was absolutely tasteless and filled with a big wadge of greenery which made eating it quite difficult and messy. The toasted sandwich was ok but the chips were limp and pale with a few dark edges. The choc chip buns were so securely sealed in their pack we struggled to open them.I even tried to cut the packaging open but the knives were too blunt. When I cut the small bun in half it was very hard and dense and I have eaten better from a budget supermarket. To think I paid over£20 for this experience(I wasn't given my receipt)was a little galling and I expected a lot better from Mark's &Spencer. As you can see, a totally awful lunch and I look forward to hearing your comments. Cynthia Hoffman(Mrs)

Very disappointing visit to M&S cafe on Cambridge street today. Waited almost 25 minutes and our food still had not arrived. A member of staff did contact the kitchen and as we were about to approach the desk an apology was given and also a refund. Not something we expect on our frequent visits to the establishment. The refund and apology was appreciated of course lets hope the service is improved before we next visit. Heather Steel

The setting has less atmosphere than the moon, but the staff do their best with a menu that seems to be forever changing, and one that avoids all the obvious choices people want. I settled for two slices of brown toast. It coast a bewildering £1-75 and came with 2 tiny portions of Lurpak. When I asked for more butter I was told it would cost an extra 20p per serving. Seriously?

Disappointing couple of visits recently, poor ambiance, no one seems to be in charge or responsible. High prices should be supported by top service. Very quiet, beautiful place, shame

I am now losing faith in Wetherspoons as the value for money place to eat, we came here last Wednesday, three adults and two children for our tea time treat as a family but I am sorry to say that, and speaking personally for my meal alone, which was the small mixed grill, the peas were cold, the chips were warm and one of the pieces of meat in the mixed grill which I believe was supposed to be beef was also cold and almost impossible to chew. Time was when we never had a bad word to say about this chain of pub eateries but since Covid, the only road they are travelling is downwards. Won't be rushing back.

Lovely place for a delicious lunchtime snack. However, it would be nice if breakfast went in a little longer instead of finishing at 11.30.
