M&S Café in The Vale of Glamorgan

Food not always hot , not even warm. Was quite disappointed ☹️

Dissapointed in my visit No cutlery No cups Extremely over busy people standing around, Had to change drinks

Not one of my best experiences at this cafe. Short of staff . Tables needed to be cleared. One girl doing orders & making the drinks . She did apologise for wait. Floors needed cleaning ,food left by children not brushed up

Went for coffee with my wife. The coffee was appalling. Very thin, no body no taste. Returned it for another to be made which was just as bad. If you are a coffee lover, then this place should be avoided. Got a full refund. Jeff

Just had a drink. Ok place. Quite clean

Ordered large breakfast but informed no bacon so extra sausages added. Served on cold plate tepid sausages cold poached eggs the size of human eyeball. Cold hash brown come potato mash thing. Large flat mushroom floating in oil. Pipping hot baked beans in dish obviously microwave. One slice of toast from smallest loaf . Mentioned my observation to server clearing table who returned to say she had passed the message on to powers in charge. Problem is person in charge allowed my breakfast out ot the kitchen. As to not having bacon available when the store is full of it makes no sense. Unless cafe is not M&S but a franchise facility. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed as I'm a regular in the food Hall frequently recommend produce yo family and friends

Simple place, next to the food section, if you go early it's calm and quiet, not too much queuing. Large selection of made cake and coffees.

Cups are a lot smaller, too small, but at least they can supply a slice of lemon occasionally. Not sure why the have removed all saucers. Choices are limited and almost nothing for celiacs. Often many menu options are not available.

Always delicious poached eggs on toast & coffee. Tried the afternoon tea that's was delicious too.

M & S food is very good quality but served from the cafe it’s very poor. I had a full breakfast it wasn’t very hot and seemed to have been cooked a couple of hours before being ordered. Please M & S can we have it as it was a couple of years ago

Good solid cafe, food is nice, coffee is good, nice menu selection. Plenty of staff to serve and seating. Very busy tho

Ordered all day breakfast, when it arrived it looked amazing unfortunately when I went to eat it the meal it was cold,I did not have time to wait for a replacement Coffee was very good though

Good drink and food but very expensive had the same elsewhere cheaper.

Dissappointing cooked breakfast, all items were cold, except sausage, and the bacon is of a poor standard. cold poached eggs are not very appealing Would expect more for £8.95, best to stick to cake in future.

Very good quality of food and drinks. However, it's not cheap. I would highly recommend the cream tea.

Yet again a very disappointing meal, when will the managers at this store ever learn. It’s about time a number of your senior management team reviewed the cafe, maybe undercover to really appreciate my points. The tables are in drastic need of renovation and glossing, they are always sticky and dirty (I always have my own wipes handy thankfully, but shouldn’t have to clean them myself). The tables and floor are always covered in food and dirt, please look at cleaning more frequently. The breakfast was cold and we ended up getting a refund. The staff on the other hand are lovely and always happy to help, it’s the finer details from above that need to be looked at. More than happy to meet senior teams to discuss my points.

Nice café, but it can be very busy.

After shopping just popped in for a coffee. New coffee machines are awful no longer able to provide extra hot drinks to individual requirements.

It's been a while since M&S got rid of their bar cafe at their store in Culverhouse Cross and that's a shame since the cafe now is a sad offering. It's a nice space, but the menu is uninspiring, and ordering food, equally so. The staff were courteous but their systems were hopeless. The food was something to forget. And like a prior reviewer, they ran out of avocado (uh, there's more in the store, surely)

Very busy today, food is fine but not outstanding and staff friendly. But we've been here half an hour, and no one has done anything about the state of the floors. The photos are just examples, there are bits of food on the floor everywhere.

I ordered a breakfast and coffee but don't eat carbs I had a plate with two small sausages, two poached eggs and a mushroom. The bacon was smoked which I didn't eat. This cost me nearly 12 pounds. Feel totally ripped off. Also there was only one member of staff taking orders and 7 staff stood around chatting. Very disappointing.

Been here a few times never had any problems it is expensive but the food is nice.

They ran out of avocado early lunchtime, so I opted for poached egg on sourdough toast. It came with a pot of baked beans, 2 eggs and a small single piece of bread toasted with no butter. It would have been impossible to balance all the beans and egg on the toast at the best of times, but it came in a bowl! The other food ordered was good and cafe has a reasonable ambience.

Had poached eggs on sourdough toast. The eggs were warm.only and overcooked and the bread rock hard clearly not freshly done or made.,very disappointed indeed

Firat of all waiting staff today rude and dismissive. Didnt smile once. Than sat down to a cold pot of tea in a over sized coffee cup. Would not recommend the Victoria sponge cake. Considering i toon a middle piece outside dry and inside too moist.. Lady id taken especailly for a afternoon out very disappointed and said she neednt bother returning..

Good service. Quite expensive but it is wherever you go these days. Very crowded and a bit cramped at Culverhouse Cross near Cardiff.

Desperately need to employ more staff, floor and tables were filthy.
