Mrs P's Luxury Ice Cream and Coffee House is a hidden gem. We've called in on numerous occasions with our 4 your old grandson on the way back from The Little Lancashire Village in Rawtenstall. The approach to the shop is a little steep but there's a large free car park at the top of the hill that usually has spaces available. Mr's P's has a great selection of ice cream and sometimes has "guest" flavours available. On our most recent visit they were doing a Halloween themed flavour containing treacle, it was delicious. Our grandson usually takes ages to pick as there's so much choice! Seating is available if you want a coffee with your ice cream.

Wow shocked! 2 x cups of basic teas and 2 x bottles of water £8!!!! A bottle of water for £2 is ridiculous especially a small 500ml bottle. The guy was lovely serving and explained it’s because of overheads and the area but still £2 is extreme for the smallest bottle of water you can buy! After the shocking price only had half cup of tea each due to leaking cheap cups! Not happy!

Ice cream is fine and service is friendly enough but, my word, the food is disgraceful for the price. £5.95 for two slices of cheap white bread, poor quality cheese and a couple of limp, inedible salad leaves. The cafe itself is too warm and has absolutely no character. I’m not in the habit of writing bad reviews but this felt like daylight robbery.

Stopped off for an ice cream and a coffee , sitting at the front of the shop . Friendly service , Ice cream was ok , nothing special but the coffee was truly awful , my husband had a black Americano and he drank a few mouthfuls and said it was the worst he’d ever tasted .

Dropped in twice during a two night stay in Ramsbottom. Firstly for coffee, hot and tasty. Secondly for ice cream… gorgeous! Plenty of flavors, the Lotus Biscoff especially yummy! Young lad behind the counter very cheerful and chatty, we’ll be back again!

First visit to Mrs P’s Ice Cream Shop We expected there to be seating inside as that’s what we had read on the internet but instead we had a takeaway icecream instead Lovely fresh waffle cone and we had Biscoff flavour and banoffee fudge icecream in it Will definitely return to try more flavours

Though presently dealing with the latest restricted service and the implications it brings they are still friendly and with excellent service, with a smile! I usually go in for a coffee and a chat whilst it is being made. Shame presently that they cannot serve food as when they do it is really good. Massive range of ice creams there and also some sorbets available. Nice to see some children and adults choosing their own mixture of ice cream to have.

Love the ever changing variety of flavours. Friendly service. A local eatery that I'm happy to return to.

Excellent ice cream on a cold wintry day. The rainbow cone with 2 scoops of the most delicious ice cream was sunshine in a cone

After a long cold winter walk, the kids wanted of all things "an ice cream". Off we went to Mrs P's for a few scoops for the kids, then the pub for a few scoops of a different kind for ourselves. The kids enjoyed the ice cream and later we enjoy the beer.

The menu isn’t extensive, but the ice cream was nice but in all honesty nothing amazing and no extensive dips,sprinkles or sauces only a sundae type of thing which were a little different. The milkshake was ok, coffee the same. The young lad serving was a delight nice and helpful, but the older lady honestly looked like she really didn’t want to be there making the atmosphere one of hurry up eat & leave. Same as last time we visited, so won’t be back. Holds around four tables with a few chairs outside. Prices fair for the area.

As a specialist ice cream parlour, you’d expect the cold stuff to be bob on. And it is. Practically the Rammy willy wonka’s of ice cream with flavours that fire the imagination and satisfy the palate on a warm day or even a drizzly Lancastrian one. There’s a hidden bonus with Mrs P’s, however; the beautifully cooked and authentically Italian panninis and thin crust pizzas. The coffee is top draw too. The lovely couple who run the place add a human touch to the proceedings. They’re always very tolerant of our 3 year old’s table manners which, shall we say, are a work in progress. When she was particularly taken by one of the children’s story books, the owner (maybe Mrs P herself?) allowed us to borrow it for a couple of weeks. Molto bene!

It was a quiet day in Ramsbottom although quite warm and sunny, ice cream seemed like the order of the day. I chose two scoops and whilst it is good I did notice crystalised water in the mix which isn't so great. Quite pricey too tbh so I had expected better

My granddaughter and I had a double cone each and it was very nice, my daughter was with us and she is vegan, so she just had to sit and watch us enjoy ours, it would be nice if there was a vegan option, also I asked if they did coffee with soya or oaty milk and they did not. The place was very clean and the staff friendly, hope they get some soya milk in.

Myself hubby and daughter visited Mrs P’s for lunch and ice cream treat on a rare sunny day in February. A nice, very clean little place and the lady ( I’m guessing Mrs P ) made us feel very welcome. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw all the amazing ice cream flavours on offer there. We ordered lunch and all the food was hand cooked in full view and the food was uber tasty and very much enjoyed. Myself and my daughter had ice cream and my hubby had an ice cream shake. I think the bill came to just under £30 but like I said it was a treat for us and should we happen to be passing again we would definitely go back there.

We are regulars at Mrs Ps with the kids. Straightforward clean cafe, in pleasant location in centre of Ramsbottom. Ice cream is great, other food made to order and always of a high standard. Very reasonable prices. Big chair outside for photo opportunity.

A visit to this plae has become a tradition now for our grandsons who are taken there after school on the way home at least once a week. There is a large selection of ice cream. The rhubarb is my particular favourite. They also do pizzas which are equally delicious.

Gave this establishment a visit after a nasty time at the doctors . Had a coffee and a toastie which were great . The young man made my coffee just as I asked , very strong . We had a good chat about local business and he showed excellent customer service skills . The selection of ice cream is to die for . The place is lovely and clean and food well presented . This is a great family business and a must visit if you’re in Ramsbottom . A true hidden gem !

Friend & I visited yesterday for a coffee but couldn't resist the wonderful cake on the counter which was covered in fruit & nuts. We weren't disappointed as it was a very generous portion, light & delicious. The ice creams were also very tempting but for another day. Also the owners were very friendly & helpful.

Just bren here 2 double tubs 5.80 MY parter said the strawberry ine tasted synthetic. I didnt like the vanilla either Shame as its so nice sat outside in the sun. Pricey too

We visit Mrs P's most weeks. After school as a treat for the children, weekends for coffee, or just to enjoy the pizzas and yummy icecreams. The choices are endless. Always served with kindness and patience with the children, and a smile to the adults. The enormous deckchair is a great favourite with "children" of all ages.

After having a heatwave we decided to take a trip to this ice cream parlour and there are lots of options to choose from, the quality was very good. We will definitely visit here again, 10/10.

The ice cream is yummy, but they also serve pannini's which are also very enjoyable. The service is quick and friendly. My seven year old grandson was given a free ice cream because, having chosen one, he discovered that he didn't like it, (there was nothing wrong with it. I ate it in addition to my own!'

Now I LOVE icecream .... And Mrs P's choices and quality are worth driving miles for. Shop is amazingly clean and the boys behind the counter are just wonderful..so patient with the kids and an elderly lady that took ages to make up her mind. LOVED their huge chair out the front that comfortably seated 3 kids. AMAZING clean town with so much history and a steam train as well..check out my photo of the timetable

29 years ago I had the best pizza ever while on holiday in Ibiza. That was until I had one in Mrs P's!! Every one is freshly made in front of you and they are delicious. They are also really good value, with a large one (and I mean LARGE) coming in at under £8, with extra toppings for just 75p.

Discovered this cafe yesterday while out with granddaughter, food excellent, really nice owners very friendly. Will be here again regularly now we have found it. Recommended.

Best home made Pizzas we have had in a long time , Ice cream is to die for and the cheese toasties are excellent... Always a fruendly service and atmosphere.

It has just occurred to me that I have never reviewed here and yet I have been a few times when visiting family in Ramsbottom. I have eaten pizza and panini's there. I can state that the pizza is always incredible. I can't think of anywhere else in the North West that does it better and I have sampled plenty! I urge anyone in the area to pop in for a lunch time treat!

Nice place, kids love it, nice for adults too, we had some great ciabattas, really tasty. Good value not over priced, we have been a few times and will continue to go back

We tried the homemade stone baked pizza today and what an amazing pizza it was! It was delicious and so full of flavour. A definite must if you visit here.

A credit to Ramsbotham, First time I have visited very clean friendly and efficient service from the owners . The panini was excellent Ten out of ten will definitely go again 👍

We have visited this ice cream parlour several times and have always received excellent, friendly service. The ice cream is always excellent and the shop provides a lovely welcoming atmosphere to just sit and have a coffee in. This year we ordered an ice cream igloo for Xmas day, and it was beautiful! Such a lovely (and tasty) centrepiece for the table. We will be ordering again!

I am a big fan of good quality dairy icecream. This establishment is just above the top end of the main shopping street in town, with a small market square out the front. Inside there is a choice of 20 different icecreams on offer, with some unusual flavours, like Vimto. One I tried and can recommend is wild cherry and amaretto. We have visited the town 3 or 4 times, about once a year on average , and normally grab a yummy icecream, and sit on the outside chairs at the front if it is warm and sunny, as it was today.

I went for a tub of icecream ,there was plenty of choice ,and the service was fast .The ice cream was lovely, I had fudge and caramel , would definitely recommend.

I liked the smart, chrome furniture furnishing, which is just "so right" for an ice cream parlour. As you might expect, there is a great range of quality ice creams but it is worth remembering that in addition to ice cream they also do hand made pizza and Italian style panini.

As an ice cream addict I love this place. Gorgeous ice cream gorgeous coffee and really friendly staff. My five year old friend nearly fell off her chair in shock at the size of her hot chocolate and the staff were so lovely about giving her extra marshmallows and a long spoon. Highly recommend it.

I along with my husband attended Mrs P's with several friends one night in March. The pizza and ice cream which followed, was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - one of the attendees didn't like cheese so they made him a pizza without. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we were allowed to take our own drinks. Excellent night had by all!

After reading previous reviews we travelled 10 miles to this highly rated ice cream shop in ramsbottom.

Being regulars at Wallings ice cream parlour, visiting here today was nothing short of extremely underwhelming. For the same price, we usually get 4 times as much at Wallings!

Nice creamy ice cream Plenty of choice I had chocolate and cherry amaretto ice cream. Both good flavours.

Turned up for a function the pizza and ice cream were to die for! Pizza was freshly made, and fantastic! Ice cream i had was salted caramel and oreo and i now have to take my daughter as she is jealous.

Ordered several pizzas which were fantastic, followed by some mouthwatering ice cream the choice of flavours are brilliant, would recommend to anybody, a great venue for kids birthdays as well.

A group of us had a private booking, we were looked after magnificently by Mrs P and Steve, the pizzas were great followed by some very tasty ice cream.

We visited this Ice Cream Parlour which also offers food....Three adults and two children. Ice Cream for the children and for the adults coffee and toasted sandwiches. When you see Deep Filled on a board it usually means a little more than the scrape of a filling which is normal. This establishment really "deep fills"...Ham, Cheese, Tomato and Onion toasties at only £2-95 each... cups of fresh ground coffee at £1-95 add to that the two Ice Creams and a Tango and it came to only £16-95. This is a definite place to revisit when in Rammy again.

Probably the best Late I've tasted. Service good and had to stop myself from ordering all the different ice creams on display. Not huge inside but plenty of seating outside. Worth a visit.

Went to Mrs P's for something to eat on Sunday lunchtime as we'd had the panini's and toasties before but were delighted to find that they've added pizza to their menu!

I love this Mrs P's . Not only is the icecream gorgeous but their home made pizza sauce is amazing ....made with loving care from quality ingredients..the next best thing to being in Italy....With a beautiful light Base and a range of toppings the pizza is not to be missed either and all reasonably priced. Also a range of paninis and toasties for those not pizza minded.

Really great little ice cream shop with loads of choice and different flavours to the usual big standard choices you get in other shops. I could quite happily work my way through every flavour they have!

We all love the ice cream lots of different flavours to choose from. They also do lovely pinnis. The gentleman that runs it is very nice and friendly.

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions since its opening and have never been disappointed. We went again yesterday and once again enjoyed the experience.

Lovely home made pizza and ice cream-nothing too fancy, great pricing and friendly service. The medium size pizza will easily satisfy two people and you will be spoilt for choice with ice cream flavours-I can personally recommend the wild cherry and amaretto

We got ice cream to take out. The shop is very nice and the service was good, and the ice cream was lovely. It was more expensive than your usual ice creams but that's to be expected. We had 3 scoops in a waffle cone for £4 each (this was a lot of ice cream so you wouldn't be scrimping if you had just 1 or 2 scoops).

Unpretentious, good value, home made food using quality, fresh ingredients. Lovely freshly made panini are definitely nothing like those flat rectangular factory-made abominations you get at chain-cafes, but are made using fresh crisply toasted ciabatta rolls and high quality fillings; parma ham, feta, roasted vegetables, artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. The homemade pizzas are excellent; nothing like the doughy lumps you get in chain-restaurants, but thin, crisp and made especially for you with the toppings you choose. Ours had lots of tasty basil - Delicious! Ice cream is very good, with a few more interesting "grown-up" flavours available than at some other ice cream shops. Really excellent coffee.

The cafe had a mixed range of people from families to elderly couples, making for a good homely atmosphere. It is an ice cream parlour so inevitably the range of other food was limited. Outdoor seating was utilised inside the cafe, resulting in a less than cosy experience - maybe because nicer seating would be trashed by cornet wielding children.

Mrs P's ice cream parlour is a quaint place to relax, enjoy great snacks, great coffee and to chat with the locals as well as being well looked after. Jane and family have done themselves proud and we always pop in for something to eat and drink. Would highly recommend the mighty meaty pannini

Good ice cream and able to sit outside, albeit a small area. Plenty of room inside and. Bright and clean atmosphere. Have never eaten the savouries, but they look nice and plenty of empty plates!

Called in with my grandson and had ice cream it was ice cream!..nothing to shout about I personally prefer other Local ice cream parlours I say this because the staff were quite rude!....they quite clearly dislike children and watch them like Hawks. My grandson is too small to have been a nuisance but a couple of other children in there were a little loud. The staff were disgruntled and you could see they wanted them to leave.

We're lucky enough to have our offices across the road and can ring our lunch in. Their paninis are filled with the best toppings, it's the only place in Rammy that you can get a proper ciabatta bun with sun dried tomatoes, and fresh basil among your toppings. But the ice-cream has to be the jewel in Rammys crow, loads of delicious flavours. The cherry and amaretto is just the best.

As fairly new Rammy Residents, we're slowly working our way through the many fine eating establishments, following a few negative reviews we'd been holding back on Mrs P's. How wrong could we have been, we've been twice now in September, both glorious sunny days and as you'd expect the place has been busy on both occasions, there are a good range of ice creams both traditional and modern, it was a close run thing as to who enjoyed it the most, me or the kids!!! Staff were very friendly and the ice cream was delicious. We will definitely be regulars!!!

Mrs P's Luxury Ice Cream is a lovely ice cream shop right in the middle of Ramsbottom. The ice cream parlour has delicious ice cream along with other things.

We called by one Sunday - The venue does light lunches and ice creams. We had a round of assorted toasted sandwiches - all were very nice. We followed up with various ice creams. All were enjoyed by all. The venue was clean and there was a steady foot fall - worth a visit. Of particular note for me were the milk shakes - made with the ice cream so choose any ice cream flavour - lovely

This Ice Cream Parlour serves great Ice cream and other things. It is at a prime spot in the middle of the Ramsbottom high street so you could go there for a snack in the middle of shopping in Ramsbottom.

Wow with the groovy flavours and classics too this place is really selling decent Ice Cream, I love stopping by and treating myself here!

Had my child's 9th birthday party at Mrs P's today. What a lovely stress free experience! The children loved making their sundaes. Felt very welcome and my child commented afterwards it was "the best party ever". Thank you :)

A great choice of home made ice creams to choose from creating a real issue....... which to have???? That's the biggest problem you'll have when visiting. The rest is history, along with the delicious ice cream that won't last long!

I frequent Mrs P's and have done since I moved to ramsbottom 2 years ago.

I frequently enjoy an americano , a mighty meaty panini and maybe a scoop of ice-cream if I have room.

My family and I have been coming to this little gem in Ramsbottom almost every Saturday since it opened as our daughter has a piano lesson across the road. The reviews I have been reading seem to be about a different place altogether. We have always thoroughly enjoyed our visit with every member of the staff being extremely kind to our fussy children and nothing is too much to ask. Mrs P is an absolutely lovely lady who is not only highly professional but warm and caring as well. As for the food, the paninis are to die for and the ice cream delicious with a range of flavours to suit every palate. We all will continue to look forward to our Saturday

Yet another of my reviews taken off by management. This is why the majority of reviews on here are good probably cause he writes them himself. I have an issue with the fact a customer focused business does not want to know what his customers think. If we had received an apology for the bad service rather than a reply with an attitude, I might have been inclined to accept it and possibly return however this place doesn't deserve customers if he is not interested in their experience!

My friend and I have been visiting this shop on and off since it opened nearly 2 years ago now and reading some of the comments below have left me amazed to the point I think they must have been in a different establishment. Never once in all that time have I heard a raised voice and certainly have never heard foul language from any of the staff - its an excellent place to go with a friend for a coffee and ice cream (which is lovely) after work or on a Saturday afternoon. As for atmosphere not everyone wants music or the like blaring forth ~ well that's not my idea of "chilling" out - I will continue to frequent this establishment - especially now its getting ice cream weather - and enjoy the polite, friendly service provided by Mrs P and her staff !!!!

Lovely Ice cream but a bit on the pricey side especially for take away. The service was good with polite and attentive staff however at the end of the day it's an ice cream.

I arrived with my husband and 2 children, admittedly my children are a little boisterous however that is not a reason for the woman behind the counter (I can only assume this was the owner) to shout at them, my youngest even told me that she swore at him!!! I would never return to this place again. And as for the ice-cream, I found it a little greasy!!

Turned up with my wife after a nice, relaxing day out and received the worst level of customer service I've ever had. The moment we stepped through the door the owner herself made us feel very unwelcome and quite obviously had no interest in having customers in her shop! The Ice Cream itself was about as average as Ice Cream gets but the atmosphere was the main let down. Dirty looks and constant clock watching from the owner herself was more than enough to make us leave before finishing our deserts with no intention of ever returning!

We came in for an ice cream for my children for dessert, after waiting too long in a local cafe! Fab service, scrummy ice cream. Wished we had come for lunch too, as menu looks lovely too . Will definitely come again.

We come to Mrs P's at least once a week. All the staff are warm, friendly and extremely accommodating of my two young children who generally run riot, playing with them and handing out decorations. They have even on occasion looked after my baby so I can eat in peace!

I have visited this lovely place many times and I'm always met with such a welcoming and friendly warm service! The food is so delicious and the pannini's are the best I've ever tasted!

My kids love this place because they love ice cream, and as it's quiet we've popped in here when in Rammy in the summer, as I can get a decent coffee. Have to admit I'm not an icecream fan but usually end up buying one as the flavours are so tempting. But there isn't much going on round there so sadly don't see how they'll survive.

Great customer service & lovely ice cream. So many flavours to choose from and i can recommend the Oreo flavour. Nice addition to Ramsbottom.

I've been here a few times over the last year or so and every single time it is perfect. Always a varied and unique choice of ice creams, they're always delicious and the service is always very friendly and fast. I'll be back!

We noticed this by accident so went in to try the ice cream. They have some unusual flavours. I enjoyed rhubarb crumble in a waffle cone.

The selection of icre cream is 2nd to none! Malteaser, Bubblegum ..... and for the weight concious even Lemon Sorbet!

None of those sad, bland blocks here! The icecream itself looks so inviting, and the shop is very clean and bright. I went for a scoop of Rammy Jammy Dodger with toffee sauce, and my only regret is not choosing a bigger serving!

I've been in a few times now and each time the female owner has moaned that they have been busy/were tired out with noise from children & mums. This seems ludicrous to me as surely they need to make hay while the sun shines before quieter winter months!! They don't have a great manner with children and seem to have missed the basics of running a business. Such a shame!

Took my children here for some ice cream. Staff are very friendly but the cafe could do with some nice pictures on the walls or something, it looks a little bear. Also, some quiet background music would be nice as it was very quiet and had that empty feeling. The ice cream was a great hit with the kids, but my latte had to be the strongest latte I've ever tasted! I'd return for the sake of the children. I'm not sure if return for a decent cup of coffee.

This place is a little gem. The Italian sandwiches are just delicious, the ice cream amazing + all with family friendly fantastic service.

A lovely little find, reminded me of our trips to Italy where eating ice-cream seems to be a daily pastime. Some really unusual and delicious flavours, can eat in or take out and there's other drinks and snacks available on the menu. Friendly service, lovely!

This ice cream parlour has the most amazing flavours of ice cream and from my families experience we have all had a fabulous experience. It is a lovely place to sit down and have a coffee or a ice cream, either when your with friends/family or on your own.
