Mrs A's Kitchen in Salford

The restaurant noted my food as delivered on the justeat app BEFORE it was delivered! This caused a great deal of anxiety. The food arrived cold, the cauliflower inedibly sour and inedibly overcooked, the wrong samosa delivered and the whole order was very poor quality and lacking in taste or freshness.

The food is just exquisite. The best naan you are likely to have. Satisfyingly crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. Excellent selection of curries and they kindly offered me a sample to see if I would enjoy one of the hotter curries.

Absolutely can not wait to come back! Extremely well priced and atmospheric. Three of us had the Thali and were able to try dishes we hadn't had before and I can't lie. It was incredible!! We also ordered a mixed grill between us which was very tasty. So much food for the price and we ended up taking some home. Can not wait to come again. In fact is tonight too soon??!

First time ordering from here so I tried the Thali, which had various choices. I enjoyed it, lots of flavours and fresh.

Hidden little gem in Eccles town centre absolute fantastic place too come and eat, best too eat in as you can properly absorb the taste nice Bangladeshi origin story as well inside the place it is a cosy environment whenever I’m in Eccles visiting my mum I make Mrs As a traditional visit. One thing I would recommend is that you open on a Sundays and maybe close on a Monday

AVOID!!! Honestly hands down the worse curry I have ever ordered, between me and my girl friend we got a Thali with rice, chicken and spinach pakora, beef rezala and lamb chops du feeyaz, and then a chicken makhani, snack box with 3 other small starters, chicken seekh kebab and a mint dip So where do I start, I have had makhani from so many places over the years and its always been the same, nice sweet buttery flavour, and they even describe it this way on the website, it was so bland and watery and oily at the same time, the grey chicken was dry and tasteless like it had been dropped in at the end, honestly shocking, then moving on to the starters, between the four starters they all taste the same, of a dry tasteless nothing, the chick seekh kebab on their pictures shows it with a bread and salad, in reality it comes as two dry rolls of chicken with no salad and bread and again so dry it is uneatable, then finally the thali, again starters taste of dry nothingness, and the two curries looked and taste exactly the same, one should of had a 4 chilli rating and the other a 3, they had no spice, no seasoning, no flavour at all, and then the rice was littered with cardamon pods which was awful and then finally the naan bread was thick and very very dry and just crumbled I am gutted that I have just spent near £40 and basically thrown 90% of the food away and am still hungry, I you look at the reviews online I am beyond shocked that this is 4.5 and 4.7 out of 5 across the board, these honestly have to be fake reviews Again, please read this and avoid this place, absolute waste of time and money, the only positive was the branded bag it come in, if I could eat that I would as it looks more attractive than the abysmal hard to call food that was!!!

Our meal had such a collection of well balanced flavours, and each bite was incredibly moreish. Mrs A's kitchen's thali tray is perfect for anyone who likes a little bit of variety on their plate. We will be back, possibly every Friday!

Chicken was raw. Explained this to the chef and showed him and was told that it was “slime”. No refund offered or replacement. Shame as the food is normally good but I will not be returning.

This review is for takeaway. Since Mrs A’s first opened (maybe three years ago) and first trying it, we have never ordered from any other Indian takeaway. The food is exceptional, it is clear that fresh ingredients are used and the menu is varied and exciting - being able to try new dishes often! The food tastes homely and you can taste the goodness! Not a restaurant that I would like to eat Indian food. I ordered chapathi they gave me pizza bases. I ordered lamb jalfrezi, they gave me cooked pieces of lamb in oil. So, I would say it is not a place for an Indian to eat Indian food.

Eccles is fairly deserted and sad. This place is pretty and joyful, and the food I had was fresh, hot and delicious!

Great team here. Food is authentic, tasty and fast. This is a well-organised, friendly operation. If you can't handle the generous portion, ask for a to go bag. It's a yes from me.

Another amazing takeaway! We have both been to Mrs A’s to sit inand had takeaways. We have never been disappointed, delivery times, food quality, heat and taste have all been amazing! So much better than our other local takeaways(and trust me there are a lot) We love coming here for the new daily curries, the small plates and the thali are lovely.

Best curry in Salford. Finally after living here for 18 years I’ve found a curry house to rival Rusholme. Not traditional and spicy so don’t order if you like your average British style curry

I’ve not eaten in but had many a takeaway. Apart from once, all have been delivered in about 30 mins. The food is incredible. So tasty and packs a punch. The thali is great value too. My go to place.

This Indian restaurant is a delightful departure from the typical scene. Offering a limited but carefully crafted selection of freshly made curries that change daily, the Thali offer stands out. The ability to curate your own combination of dishes is a pleasant touch. The lunchtime experience is a quiet affair, making it one of my preferred choices in the area. The cozy ambiance and the daily-changing menu add a special charm to this culinary gem.

My definite recommendation if you’re looking for Indian/Bangladeshi food. Every time I visit, the food has been consistently quality and delicious! Visit if you want to eat solo/in group or get takeaway.

I only marked the atmosphere down as we were, (at least initially), the only people in! 😆 But the decor is really fun... Anyway, we're visiting family for Christmas and New Year and only hear good things about The Northern and Mrs A's. The Northern was closed, 😟 Mrs A's did not disappoint! 😋 (really weird to walk down Church St for the first time in thirty years 😯) I ordered a Thali, consisting of Chicken Makhan and Beef Assarr, rice with Chicken and Spinach Pakora. I also ordered a Puri, (I've never had one before!), and a "snack box" consisting of Chicken Samosa, Keema Fritter and a Chicken Shami Kebab, (again these last two are new one to me). Wow, delish! The beef was so tender, the chicken moist and juicy, the Makhan sauce delightfully sweet, cool and mild, the Assarr spicy and aromatic with a gentle heat that just kept on building 🤤 The Pakora, a generous chunk of chicken in a beautifully spiced spinach and onion Bhaji mix. The Samosa, light and crumbly with a delightful spiced chicken filling. The Puri again was so light and crisp almost more like a fried pastry than a bread, (think croissant), and I watched it being freshly made. The Fritter and the Shami Kebab each a slice ground meat patty, with the Fritter battered... All in all a real treat, and at Twenty pound including two milkshakes not that expensive either! 👍 (sadly, I didn't take any pictures as I was too keen to dig in 🤭)

Genuine authentic curries. Each curry has its own distinct taste and texture unlike the 'British Indian Restaurant' curries with their generic vegetable sauce base, that we are all used to. A refreshing change and one of the few restaurants that I will return to repeatedly.

We've been loyal customers since Mrs A's Kitchen opened. We order their food very often and also visit their restaurant occasionally. We've also recommended this place to many people...Today, the food was so hot that it was simply inedible. We ordered same dishes we usually order, but on this occasion we could barely eat them. Not sure what happened today, but we will not be coming back very soon - if ever.

What a gorgeous little restaurant. Found by chance and absolutely loved it. Really really enjoyed the thaali, nice selection to choose from and everything was piping hot and flavourful. Decor is so sweet, bright and very clean. The staff are so welcoming, thank you so much for your warm service.

not sure what day these guys landed from bangladesh but customer service is poor, they can hardly speak, ive ordered a few times and every time somthing is wrong or missing and i have to call them. poor business with no drivers most times. not worth the bother if you want quality.

I'm on my 4th time having Mrs A's and I am blown away by the food everytime. Warming, stunning & tasty dishes that I crave for days after. If I could eat this everyday I would! The meat in every dish is so tender! Big faves of ours, the lamb and potato curry, the chicken wings, and obviously the biriyani! Wow! Presentation is always 10/10 and always a 5 star service both from delivery and collection! Would highly recommend to anyone!

A nicely decorated desi canteen in an unlikely location near Eccles train station. Lovely food served in a fixed price Thali format. Dishes were cooked nicely with all the right amounts of spices and care. The heat level is slightly adjusted for a tamer palate. I would have liked it hotter but the food was tasty regardless. There was a surcharge for the naan that I chose, and I would have liked to have been informed before paying. Happy to return in the future.

Some of the finest Asian food I’ve had in Manchester / in the UK considering the price-point! You get very generous portions, well worth the money paid. Taste is spot on, when they say spicy they MEAN spicy - can’t go wrong with that! There’s a mixture of curries to suit different tastes which is ideal too. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating too, thanks for making it an enjoyable birthday dinner for me!

Food is amazing They have daily different menus for thali item. Very reasonable prices and inside it feels amazing even though its Bangladeshi restaurant i felt indian vibes and taste. I recommend it to give it a try and you might like it. I had chicken karahi , veg snack box, pulav, and chicken strips they are so delicious, i like the chicken snacks box.

This is hands down the best Bangladeshi restaurant I’ve been to. Most Bangladeshi restaurants are presented as Indian restaurant - felt so good walking in and seeing the representation of our country . The food was very good and reasonably priced . The cooking is not like other “ Indian restaurants” , its very good . Anyone from bangladesh will surely appreciate the food . Highly recommend.

This is excellent Bangladeshi food. Is it like food from your local Indian? Absolutely not! It's much better, with very distinct delicious flavours. It's more of a canteen than a restaurant, but that's OK. Also they offer spicy food and don't give way to English tastes for milder curries. However, the spice on some dishes, can be hot but the dish tastes very good.

Amazing Bengali food! Something different to your standard Indian/ British curry you’ll get in most takeaways in UK. Food was extremely tasty, great choice and huge portions. The best curry in Salford. Staff was very friendly and helpful with ordering process. Definitely will be coming back.

What a fantastic tiffin meal, just excellent!

Fantastic food in the most unassuming place and location. The whole experience was smooth and food wasn't too spicy. What they have classed as 3 peppers out of 5 - I found rather mild. Really like the medium of building your own custom plate. It's a novelty, but very refreshing idea and gives you opportunity to taste a few things at once without spending crazy money on a single meal.

The best food in the area 100% fresh tasty and spicy just how i like it flavours to die for they really no how to cook here there currys are delightful the chicken strips and shami kebabs r on another level just quality for the price aswell its well worth it

Food is great and for a very good price. Byriani portions are enormous, and everything is plated nicely. So far we loved everything and been there twice and ordered in once. Only thing that is missing is more people eating in, Mrs As deserves it!

If you want high quality Indian food in a fast casual setting you can't go wrong here. The restaurant itself is really nice and the staff are very accommodating. Had the lamb biryani which was excellent. It's a large portion. When you take it to go they basically give it to you wrapped in the same bowl it was served in. Will definitely come back.

We ordered off Just eat. We ordered 2 kebabs 1 lamb 1 chicken. We ordered these with sides which were edible. We stipulated salads with our sides we we presumed came with some sort of meat. Too sum it up we got 2 pieces of meat which they constitute a kebab without bread or salad for the dearest price in what you can only describe as the bronx of Manchester

Had a really great lunch here on a rainy afternoon in Eccles. Staff were really helpful with the menu and allowed us to taste the food before ordering. Food was prompt and very delicious. The spices were very subtle and complimented the food very nicely and not overpowering as curried food often can be. Food very moreish! Definitely will return again when in the area.

We recently discovered Mrs A’s Kitchen a couple of months ago whilst walking past one evening and noticing the wonderful aromas. We both ordered a ‘Thali’ and chose from the selection of curries, small bites, naans and rice. The food is really fantastic. It’s fresh and delicious, and we’ve been hooked ever since. We live too far for delivery, but the food is that good that we’re happy to drive 20 minutes both ways to collect it!

This place is the best! We order regularly from their website, the delivery is quick and the food… Oh, the food! The most satisfying curry you can get, it’s full of flavour and hot, and simply addictive! Do yourself a favour and get their chicken samosas, they are nothing short of unbelievable <3

What a find this place is. The food is simply the best Indian I've had (alright it's Bangladesh) Can't praise it enough. And as an added bonus, you get to people watch on Eccles church Street, possibly the best street to people watch in the UK.

Food is good but not great value for money. They’ve recently increased the price of their Thali to 14.99 on Uber eats. After delivery you’re talking nearly 20 quid for a curry in a container that is only ever half filled. I thought it was expensive before the price rise, now it’s just a rip off so won’t be ordering again.

Best takeaway South Asian food in Manchester I reckon! Actually tastes of something other than just spicy. You could eat in, I tried once, and was very disappointed. For one, no alcohol, at all, can't even byob. Also the service is very amateurish. So stick to takeaway and you can't do wrong.

Takeaway - delivery quicker than expected. Ordered Thali chicken makhan. Beef assarr and lamb jalfry and lamb chops. All fabulous! Great flavour, and packaged so well. Will definitely be returning. Don't hesitate - just order!

Fantastic place to visit . Decor very bright and inline with the style of food they serve. Place a lot bigger than we thought. Great place will accommodate a small party . Loved the food, lots of choices. We had the thali’s. Staff gave me a taster of one curry because I was worried it may be too spicy for me. But it was just perfect. Flavours are wonderful. Brilliant garlic Nan. Good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend. Wish I had visited earlier. We will be back with more family members.

Unreal food. Great service and super quick! Order directly from their site instead of Deliveroo as well! There portions were fab and the taste is delicious!

Absolutely banging. Such great flavours, different from your usual dishes. Cheap and quick delivery direct from them not deliveroo. And it comes in a little reusable bag to boot. 10/10 properly stuffed and enough for tomorrow's tea too, cannot recommend enough

best Bengali food in GM in my opinion, I've been to few places, fresh and delicious.

Missing a few of ours sauces from the order, but everything else was very delicious! 😋
