Fantastic little find best tasting fish and chips home made mushy peas in bridlington ,best fish shop by far ,the lady running it was really nice and friendly had a lovely chat with us ,we sat in and was made very welcome we will be back weve been on holiday 2 weeks and been back 3 times

I'm 52 and being British have of course tried fish and chips in many places. A month on and I am still talking about this small, slightly underwhelming looking place and the almost perfect fish and chips I had. Chips not too thick, slightly floppy, salty and savoury and thick white fish in a crispy thin, honey bronze coloured batter. Was not expecting it. Michelin star from me and some of the cheapest I have had to boot. I would come back to Brid just to have these again...maybe

Stopped off in Brid for tea after an afternoon coastal swimming off Flamborough Head. Big fish portions & scampi was polished off by my teenage son. Chips shared were just right. Friendly staff made the meal (as did having the opportunity to sit down in the sun.

big queue and right on the harbour front attarcted us. Smal fish and chips £3.30 and kids meals with drink £2.80 were a great little size for a lunch, to eat on the benches right over the road.

Amazing !!! We had sausage and chips so can’t comment on fish ect but what we had was absolutely delicious! Chips were some of the best I’d ever had

Served quickly by very efficient lady who was on only her 5th service! Fish cooked to order and ready in no time. Fresh ‘real’ coffee and couldn’t fault any of it!

The mini fish and chips comes with a free cup drink. I hadn't had one of those for years. I queued while they were freshly cooked. There are a couple of tables inside and they were full so ate them on a bench overlooking the harbour. The batter was crispy, the chips were hot and salty. I kept the paper over them so the seagulls couldn't get them. They were keen eyed.

Got Fish and Chips 3 times for me and my elderly Parents and they were by far the best we have had in a long time. Portion size was perfect and the staff were courteous and polite. Superb all round!

We popped in on our way back from Flamborough. Really friendly staff, went out of their way to make us feel welcome even though we arrived at closing time. Excellent fish and chips, would highly recommend.

Huge portions, really good value, super tasty!! We were served very quickly and all food was fresh. We took our food and sat overlooking the beach. Perfect fish and chip lunch for a large family group!

Visited today, staff were talking to themselves and not interested in customers apart from people they knew. Unfriendly to customers they didn't know, couldn't even manage a smile or goodbye even though we said goodbye to them. We've visited before and the fish and chips were good that's why we went back today. The fish was soggy and you couldn't even pick it up with a fork, it was just mush. Not sure why. The chips, well you couldn't call them chips, they were just small hard scraps. Hated it and won't be returning. Had to clean the tables ourselves and the staff couldn't even bring the food to our table, we had to get up and get it ourselves. Wish we'd gone somewhere else as it was such a disappointment.

Visited Bridlington today with my sister in law & nephew. The food was not bad at all, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. The dark haired 20 something year old that served us was rude and acting like she didn't even want to be there. She left a customer waiting for about five minutes because she was too busy chatting away to her colleague. She poured extremely watery gravy all over my fish & chips although I never asked for this. And when I mentioned it, she was very rude. I wouldn't visit here again, simply because of this girl. The rest of the staff seemed okay, if not a little stand offish. It seemed like nobody really wanted to be there.

Nice little chip shop near the sea front. Decent portions for the price. Can bit a little cramped though if using the tables inside the chip shop

i visited this chippy recently on my travels from halifax with my gorlfriend salloy and would like to share my view! I found that the service was absolutely fantastic, especially the woman with short strawberry blonde hair! She was so welcoming and caring and made our visit pleasureable. We sat in the cafe and she brought out our food and treat us like royalty. However the other woman with blonde hair seems standoffish and didn’t speak much, thought she was a bit rude. the food was excellent and service was too. would highly recommend!!!

As locals in Bridlington, me and my husband often visit this fish and chip shop. At the beginning of summer it was lovely and staff were friendly. However, I visited today and there was hardly any staff on and they all seemed uninterested in the customers. The fish itself was okay but the batter wasn’t cooked and it was soggy. As for chips there were dark in colour yet still hard on the inside. Me and my husband are scared to come back!! Such a disappointment

We had lovely chips, sausages and curry here and drinks, fab food, fab service, the staff were very friendly. Good prices too.

Visited mister P’s chippy today with my family. I was served by madison who was very welcoming and friendly. She was very chatty and informative of things to do in the area while we waited for our fresh food to be cooked. When the food came the haddock was lovely and white and chips cooked to perfection. Customer service was the best I’ve ever seen along with the best fish and chips ever! 100% would recommend and will definitely be returning with my family very soon!

Very good quality fish and chips, good sized portions and reasonably quick service. One of the best fish & Chip shops in the area.

I recently went here on Friday the 3rd of August. First of all the the Middle Aged woman who served me never looked so depressed to work there, no energy, not even a smile to me or Wilson! Secondly, the fish she served me came like a wet wipe, asked for another one and she refused. By this point me and Wilson were barking mad I took the rest of my chips and threw them in the bin whilst I walked away with Wilson she was laughing at me. RUDE AND A WASTE OF MONEY. Stay away!!! I went to the fish shop round the corner from here and the staff and food was lovely - even let Wilson sit in which was not allowed at Mr P’s because he was too big

Visited with the kids, we all loved the twice cooked chips, the staff were friendly and chatty. Service was quick, will visit again the next time we are at the seaside

Bought fishcake and chips to eat near the beach. Appeared well overcooked or reheated. Terrible taste and had to throw them away and buy elsewhere. Would not visit again.

had quick bite to eat while on a coach day trip ,we ordered fish and chips a seperate portion of chips ,1 can coke= £9...fish though batter was a bit over done was edible ,,but the chips had been recooked and were very bad ,,i was hungry so we ate up...not good ,worst chips we have ever had..willnot be using this cafe again

Went here as could sit across the road to eat them. I had fish & chips while my husband had battered sausage. The fish was nice but the batter was very greasy, the chips were a bit underdone and tasted as if they had been cooked a while as not very hot, thankfully there wasn't many, the battered sausage was just a cooked sausage that had been cooked awhile then battered. Won't go here again

Had fish and chips with the wife and kids on a day trip to brid only choose this chippy had somewhere to sit across road bought 2 x fish and chips and 2 trays of chips for the kids the chips were terrible and overcooked and as if were old my kids ate a few and binned the rest the fish was ok but wouldn't recommend to eat from here

Having wandered past and seeing the “skin off, bone out” sign I had to give it a go. Wasn’t disappoint, great batter, meaty fish and no skin. Possibly some of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Ever!

We go to Bridlington a lot and first time we noticed Mr Ps. Fish was skinned and boned and very large chips were nice and over all a nice meal we sat on the front there are plenty of benches over looking the sea. Just so many seagulls, there are notices saying don't feed seagulls but they seem to get food. Nice choppy though would use again

Great fish and chips. I did not agree with the staff sweeping the cafe floor rubbish of chip forks and ketchup sachets onto the pavement instead of picking up with a dustpan and putting it in a bin! We had just been commenting on how clean Bridlington was when I saw this disrespect for the council and public of Bridlington. Please train the staff, it was very off putting of the cafe.

I actually only came to Bridlington to come to this place. I'm a primary teacher and my kids call me Mr P and one of them took a photo of this place so I said I would go.However, on the Saturday, I ended up going to Gabby's on tripadvisor's recommendations. The locals love it but I wasn't impressed and I really didn't think i'd be having fish and chips again that weekend.However, along comes Sunday and the desire for fish and chips at the seaside is strong once more so off to my namesake's chippy I went. Fish is cooked while you wait (or was for us) and I ordered mine with chips and, for a change, curry sauce. Thankfully, I can say it was better than Gabby's. Beautiful fresh whiter-than-white cod and the chips were good too. Well done Mr P!

£5.60 for fish and chips at the seaside is not bad - the portion size is just right and the batter is light, golden and crispy - the only improvement I could offer is for them to provide or at least sell full size forks - attempting a huge fish from a tray with a piddling little plastic fork is a definite challenge!

Not my first visit and definatley will not be the last. Going anywere else is just a bad move. Loverly large piece of fish, cooked as good as it comes and gorgeous chips to match. Well done Mr P's.

Lovely fish and chips, had them with curry sauce which was lovely. Range of drinks is a bit poor and there's always a chance of a seagull attack but other than that, good. Be aware that at busy times it can be a bit untidy in the dining area.

Great food! When you're by the seaside it's only right to have fish & chips! Although i didn't have the fish, which i can only guess is just as nice as the chips, it was lovely. Probably one of the best chip shops i have visited. Will most definitely go again when i'm in Bridlington.

Lovely Fish and Chips,always Hot and Crispy,only trouble is the Gulls trying their best to eat them as well,but this didn't bother us at all,you could sit inside if you wish.

Went here yesterday with my family. First time to a chippy in Bridlington and it was lovely. Lovely food and reasonable prices! Would return.

Happened upon Mr P's when looking for a bite to eat in Bridlington. I got take out Haddock & Chips on a tray with a wooden fork (a classic way to eat fish & chips in the UK). The portion was ample and the price was very reasonable for the coast. With chunky chips and a tasty fish with crispy batter, means Mr P's is the Chippy I'll be visiting the next time I'm in Sunny Bridlington.

Myself and partner were walking on Brid sea front and we're feeling very hungry and we spotted Mr P's so called in for chips and fishcakes. We eat the food as it was edible and the shop was convenient if you are looking for gourmet or fresh prepared try else where but to feed hungry kids coming off the beach Mr p's is great if only to stop them moaning.

Been here a few times now, and believe me when I say (the best!) I was bought up with parents owning chippy's and know good fish and chips. I will never go to another chippy in Bridlington EVER! The chips are cooked to perfection and the fish.... Well it tastes like fresh caught fish and the batter is good too. Not under or over cooked. Puts most chip shops to shame! It's a must if you visit Bridlington

I came across this place when looking for a decent chippy near the harbour as I wanted a decent view whilst I ate my food but couldn't go in a restaurant as I had the dog with me. It appealed as it looked like a proper chippy selling only chippy food and not also burgers/kebabs/fried chicken etc. Unlike other places, it had a small queue too which is always a good sign. I had fish, chips and mushy peas and it was gorgeous. The fish was huge with a thin batter and the chips were cooked to perfection. They have a few tables inside and one outside so I could even sit and eat my food whilst gazing out to sea. I must say that I saw many other people eating fish and chips from different places that day and none looked as good as mine. I would definitely recommend this place.

When visiting Bridlington yesterday with a friend we were finding a chippie to get some lunch and came across this place. For great prices we both were given a massive meal and although I didn't get fish, my friend did and when I tried a bit I loved it. The fish, the batter and the great chips made for the perfect meal as we crossed the road to go sit on a bench overlooking the sea, thank you for making our day brilliant.

When in Bridlington don't forget to visit Mr P's for the best fish and chips in Bridlington,.takeaway only,but there are few tables outside overlooking the sea front.Also try the tea,it's very very good,but it is Yorkshire tea.

I wouldn't normally review a Fish & Chip shop but the food here was absolutely lovely. The ticket system is good, not too long a wait for the food and friendly service. What more could we ask for? We shared 2 lots of Fish & Chips between 4 of us (2 kids) and both agreed they were quite possibly the best we'd had; lovely crispy light batter and great chips - would highly recommend.

We visited Bridlington and ate in at Mr p's.We had cod and chips and a cup of tea.The fish was huge and great quality and highly recommended the chips we very good too.We will eat here again when we visit Bridlington in the future.Frank & Brenda [ Manchester]

The place was very busy but they do a ticket system when you order we waited about 10 minutes the fish was tasty and hot as were the chips .We would definitely call again.

I am always a bit nervous of trying fish'n'chip shops unless recommended, but the other places which reviewed well on TripAdviser had closed by the time I got to them on the bank holiday just gone.Mr P's was still going and at the time had had no reviews, so I went for it with trepidation, expecting some grease laden meal.Happily, I was very wrong and my concerns were misplaced: no skin, no bone, so my wife was happy. Generous portions and cooked to order. All great.The lady on the front was very keen to take orders as quickly as we could decide. Very polite too; although, if I had been her, the constant prompts from the voice at the back of the shop would have worn thin after a few minutes!My son & I decided we liked the brazen advert of the Beatles eating a chip supper, which suggests in no uncertain terms that only Mr P could make the Beatles so happy...

Out of all the places I got fish from whilst I have been going to Bridlington this was by far the best. Cooked to order so no hard dry batter, made to perfection. Nice spam fritters to.
