Mr Luigi's in Harlow

Asked for a large chips with no salt. Got a regular chips if that with salt. Won't be going there again. £3.85 for nothing, you get double the amount in most places.

Fish was small an cold, chips were small We use to buy Large Cod and Chips , an always felt stuffed , this time as were the last few visits before , Fish is Small , Chips were small I'll not be bothering again We use to get great food an service when John ran the business, now I'll jump in my car to John's new shop an start buying Fish an Chips with him again

We used to get fish and chips from here every week and it was always good. Thought we would give it another go now new owners have taken over. Delivery came and part of our order was missing, which I understand human error happens now and again but when calling them they said did you want a refund? What should I tell my two kids there not eating tonight!? So asked for it to be delivered ASAP. Turned up 45min later. Nice takeaway Ruined! No offer of any compensation for the trouble. Won’t be ordering again from here.

First of all it has been taken over and is NOT Mr Luigis now, Went and placed an order for 2 chips 2 savs and 2 pickled onions but got 2 wallys instead of the onions so that was a waste of £1.80 as they went in the bin, Chips i would call fair not greasy but a little undercooked but the saveloy was tasteless and soft without any snap when you bite it, Why is it in Harlow nobody can do a decent sav now. Nice and clean and short wait and Rona restrictions seemed good btw was served by Leanne

Used luigis for many years but the breast of roast chicken was pink near the bone. Not great customer service. Manager picked through 1st attempt disappointing!

I believe this place has been taken over by chicken shop and the quality has gone down hill . Poor quality meats used . Won’t use again

I have eaten from this fish and chip shop many times and it is one I can recommend. The staff are friendly, but not overly, which I like. As for the food I've tried, which is always a large cod and large chips, I always enjoy it. The chips are always a good size and not full of off cuts and hard bits. The fish is always a good size and tastes nice. I haven't tried anything else from this shop so I can only recommend the cod and chips.

Honestly the best chip shop here. Great food and the staff actually get to know you. I go there at least 3-4 times a month and they normally joke with me about knowing my order and stuff before I order. One bad note.... they removed the battered snickers:( but they had their reasons. Best chippy in Harlow by far. Go treat yourself

The most arogant manager I have ever seen .the way he treats customers and staff.atmosphere awful.no manners .the food mediocre. Won't be going there anymore!

A friend claimed this was ‘the bests fish and chip shop locally so when I was bringing lunch over I thought this was best to see for myself. The shop is clean and modern and orders are taken efficiently and you’re given a numbered ticket for your order. The chips were fantastic and I was appreciative the portion was edible rather than too many leaving you stuffed. My sausage in batter was nice enough although I prefer a crispier batter and this was soft and the sausage wasn’t the nicest quality. My buttered roll was fresh and the perfect accompaniment. I will return.

Out of all the Fish and Chips we have tried in Harlow, and this is several, this is our favourite. The staff are friendly. The food is cooked fresh and tastes great. We have never had anything cooked badly here. They have online ordering where you pay for the food and collect it from them, and they use GoGetters if you want the food delivered. The charge you pay to have the food delivered goes to GoGetters and not Luigi’s.

Visiting Harlow for a family funeral, and knowing it was always my dads choice of chip shop we went in and What can I say but fabulous, fabulous friendly staff, and fabulous delicious food.

For a quick meal you cannot do better than fresh fish and chips from Mr Luigis. The que can be long because its simply the best in town.

Went with my wife as she was dying to try the vegan fish (banana blossom) and chips. We weren’t disappointed. It was tasty, well priced and a decent portion size. The staff were quick and friendly too. Will definitely go back.

Under new management. The best fish and chips I have had . Fresh and good quality . Staff very pleasant . Revised menu with lots more options . Highly recommended .

First visit to Luigis since it re-opened. Friday night and it was busy, but staff coped with orders they had. Fast service. Great to see New, polite staff. Food was hot, chips much better than before. And great to see that they have gluten free options available on a Tuesday night! Apparently you can order online to collect- I may try this out next time!

We have missed Mr Luigi’s while it has been shut for refurbishment. We tried other fast food restaurants and they weren’t as good. It has been worth the wait. Their prices have gone up a bit, though their food is just as good, if not better, and still the best fast food we’ve tried in Harlow. Two large pieces of skate, tasty fish in a good batter. The best 1/2 pounder cheese burger I have tried in Harlow. Great chips that weren’t too greasy. We tried their tartare sauce, as the staff said it was home made, and it tasted so much better than the stuff that comes in the little pouches. With the price increase we couldn’t complain about the quantity or the quality. They have moved their counter to the back of the shop and added tables and seating. Their new website isn’t running yet, and you cannot order from them on Just Eat yet. Mr Luigi, we are glad you have reopened.

We have had many takeaways from Mr Luigi’s over the years, but tonight it was disappointing. All of our chips were not nice, they looked grey and unappetising. Chicken was dry and over cooked.

We ordered delivery for 7.30pm so I could eat before leaving for work at 8pm. The food arrived late at 7.50pm which meant I didn’t have to time to eat it ! what’s the point of being able to select a time if delivery time if it isn’t going to be adhered too.

Waste of money. Chips were horrible, Fish was dry and tasteless, whole meal was like someone’s warm leftovers. Delivery charge far too high too. Won’t use again and definitely do not recommend.

Mr Luigi's rang me after a slight confusion over my order of mayo and mustard, now that was a surprisingly good customer caring call. Food was delivered piping hot and was delicious. The only not so negative was my fish which, although I ordered standard, was huge, my dogs certainly got a treat with my leftover fish!

Sadly quality has gone down hill, chips were awful and I've had deliveries ever since they started years ago. Unhappy about decline in quality and huge hike in delivery charge

The food from here is generally pretty good, but I think the attitude of the staff could be improved on. If you phone them directly to place an order, they can be a bit rude. If you visit the shop in person, the staff behind the counter are always shouting and swearing at each other. There's no reason for it, they do it just to show off. Some people would find it offensive, I'm just a bit embarrassed for them really.Ordering online seems to be very reliable, however, not only is there a minimum order of £12.50, but they also charge a whopping £4 for delivery.The general attitude of this business seems to be that of arrogance. I think they won some award a few years back and they got it their heads that their food is so good, that they are doing us a favour by letting us buy from them. The food is above average for the area, and is definitely worth buying, but it doesn't warrant the attitude.

been ordering from Luigi’s for years but the last few times I’ve ordered the chips have been cold and horrible tasting, the apple pie was soggy and looked microwaved. I feel they’ve slipped down a bit frequently. massive shame but will be ordering somewhere else, also slightly cheaper too.

Chicken was hot and good quality, nice chilli sauce.. After reading the reviews was not sure what it would be like. But they were 25 mins early.

phoned the restaurant 15 minutes after it should have been delivered and spoke to a female member of staff. She informed me that it had just gone out and to call back in a further 15 minutes time. I said this was not acceptable and she handed the phone over to a male who was extremely rude stating that he was busy and if I didn’t like it to call ‘Just Eat’ to get my money back. I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years now but after this experience, I will never go back.....

Have been getting fish and chips practically every Friday for years, and generally very good. However - now I’ve found out they want to charge me £2.99 for delivery (and I live 2 mins away) I won’t be ordering as often. We stopped getting it at the counter in the shop as queues were horrendously long due to deliveries getting the priority.

Food is always hot and fresh, can’t fault the food or service but £4 delivery fee is very steep!

the food was amazing!!! was disappointed that I ordered a cheese and bacon quarter pounder but there was no bacon :( and I thought the £4 delivery charge was very steep! but overall I would order again!! also loved the fact it was 20 mintues early :)

Food was good but I begrudge being charged £4 for delivery on a £49 order and then also being charged 50p for using my card as that is the only way to pay for orders over a certain value. Will not be ordering from Luigis again.

A great disappointment I know it was a cold evening but to charge 4 pound delivery I wouldn't expect cold food Tarta sauce was not proper sauce actually all the sauces I go bbq and sweet and sour where horrible and my fish size was tiny compared to.pther fish and chip deliveries I will never get a take away from here again

Love Mr Luigi. Hate the £4 delivery fee- agree with the other reviews in that £4 is extortionate. I can have parcels shipped in from China for less than that price and Luigi's is only a 10 min drive from my address. Appalled.

In general the food here is good.What is not good is the service.All the staff here seem to have some sort of what I can only describe as a "Bad boy attitude" towards the cusomers.Plenty of "Ok geez""what you want mate".Not my kind of service.

We have been ordering from Mr Luigi's 2 or 3 times a month for years and the food is lovely. Their Southern Fried Chicken coating is delicious, and the fish/chips are always tasty.

this place is great. the food is always good. the only shame is that they make small mistakes on the order. for example, I only eat the Rib on chicken. it's the only piece I want and I request it, yet sometimes I get something else, which I will not eat. wasted!

everything was great food was delicious however they forgot the onion rings but it's only A £1.50 loss

Very disappointed in the food. Fish was dry and overcooked, the batter tasted burnt. The burgers also tasted burnt. It's a shame as this used to be a very good take away, won't be using again.

Mr Luig's didn't receive my order from just eat. Just eat will never be used again in this house.
