Very busy but worth the wait. Staff friendly and have a good system for ordering. Cod and chips were excellent. Cash only.

Absolutely brilliant chippy. The staff are always lovely with my son and the food is always hot and tasty. I've never had a bad meal here and it's my local chippy so have been a few times! Definitely the best in marshside and I'd say the second best in southport, after the swan.

Chips cold and scrapy fish dry Not up to there usual standard Think they have been left in the warmer too long.wont be returning.

I ordered fish with mushy peas. Swimming in grease to the point where it came off the tray and all over my jeans. My husband ordered fish and chips. We've both been ill today and with highensight the batter was undercooked and sloppy in places.

great service been coming here years! fast service your in and out. I once forgot some loose change and did have enough to cover a small sausage. The girl gave me the sausage said she knew my face and could pay next time! I thought this was so sweet and she didnt have to do that. I went back to following weekend and paid extra for it as they were so nice.

Really disappointed tonight. Wasn’t told they had no steak puddings ready but given a pie without consultation. V Poor

I called into to Mr chips yesterday what lovely friendly staff I have a problem with a brain tumor and get confused the two members of staff were so kind to me I'd like to say a big thank you and the chips were excellent...I'm the lady who liked lot's of vinegar 😊

Great chippy, I visit this place a couple of times a month. If you are in the area I highly recommend it. Prices are a bit on the high side but you can say that about everywhere nowadays.

Always great quality fish and chips and efficient, friendly service. Extras are great too. Would definitely recommend.

Rushed back from Liverpool to make sure I was there before closing time.... "Sorry we have no chips" "What time do you close ?" "21:30" "What time is it now?" "21:25" And with that the lights were switched off. Not just me....another Customer turned away. Business must be good.

We have been going to Mr Chips for years and always been good, however, on the last couple of visits, the food has been awful. Last visit was yesterday evening, it was not busy, but still had to wait outside despite Covid being declared over. The chips were dry, hard and looked and tasted like they were re cooked from the previous day, and although I was hungry and not eaten since lunchtime, after a couple of mouthfuls, I through it all in the bin. Sadly I doubt we'll be visiting here again in a hurry

We ordered 32 fish & Chips & 2 Fish only meals for yesterday Collected them 10pots of Mushy Peas added foc. We just want to thank you so much as everyone said how lovely they were and made for a special occasion which as really enjoyed by all. Mr Chips staff were very efficient in packing the meals into a box and bags and all was kept warm Well done. Thank you for doing such lovely and tasty Fish & Chips they went down a treat. I am a regular user of this choppy. However the past 2 visits 10 days apart have been very disappointing. On both occasions the chips were the worst I have ever experienced. Overcooked and awful spuds and greasy. Threw most of them away. Shame because food has generally been good over the years

The chippy is advertised as being open till 9.30pm but always closes earlier. So frustrating as we wanted a chippy after our pub visit. Not the first time this has happened.

Having read this reviews we drove to sample. Sadly this “open every day” chippy was not open. Ring first !!

Consistently good chips at a fair price! can't say alot more, and the fish is good too.. my preferred local Chip shop

A very good chippy which organises who gets food through a ticket system. Food is great and well worth the wait. Staff are helpful and busy. One customer always complains if she can't go front of the queue, staff should barr such a rude customer.

We were really looking forward to our fish supper as usually consistently good & the fish was awful! Thin, dry and hard with soggy batter.

Always good quality and great service for all takeaway chippy related goodies. Fish and its batter is best in area.
