Was looking for a fish & chip shop and was recommended to visit this branch. So glad I did, this is one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The restaurant is clean, staff was friendly and very good value for money.

we were visiting London for a few days and were not disappointed with the excellent fish and chips - I ordered mushy peas and was blown away by the taste and quantity it was amazing. Fish was so fresh it was one of the best I have taken. Staff were friendly and would certainly recommend it 100% thank you.

Ordered the whole grilled sea bream and got 2 pale, flabby fillets. The beetroot salad equally disappointing. There was certainly beetroot but the capers, parsley, rapeseed oil, salt and pepper sadly missing.

We can honestly say that this is the best fish and chip takeaway in London, in our opinion! It never disappoints. Fish is always the best quality, delicious perfectly cooked and great portion sizes. Chips are perfect too and there are always plenty. It is incredible value for money, especially if you take advantage of the specials prices before 4pm. We LOVE Moxies, and I am the daughter of a Grimsby skipper, so believe me, I know my fish and chips! ☆☆☆☆☆ Last time we visited, we had hake and it was superb! Thank you!!!! 🙂

Ordered a delivery. Paid the premium for a direct deklivery ( only package on the bike to ensure food warmer) They delivered the wrong food, Their phone line ( as per their website) is out of service; they have not responded to messages. Very unhappy. ( But now not hungry as we ordered in form somewhere competent) Expect a fight to recover the cost of the mistake! UberEats not interested in helping.

As every one isin lockdown as a treat for the family a takeway was ask for the choice was fish/chips so order was placed for five fish and. three pies and two savoloys with seven large chips we found the fish dry and overcooked one of the pies had a bad taste like rotton meat but the chips were ok

Disappointed. I turned up and the prices were extortionate for a shabby little chippy, fronted by people who try to talk without opening their mouths, in a dismissive style. The front of the shop is on a parade that is filthy. The staff do not all wear hair nets, which should be standard practice but is why I found a hair in my food. There was a queue and despite being told the wait was 10 minutes, I was there for 25. They didn’t cook the chips properly because they were so busy and as a result I had a bad stomach all night.

The fish is soooo fresh and good, especially the mackerel. But, it isn’t very comfortable to sit there, so best to have take away fish and chips. And if your companion doesn’t eat fish, the non-fish menu is not really good - the pies are only lukewarm and not very interesting. But great for take away fish eaters.

Ordered via just eat, and we didn't receive everything, when I explained this to moxies they said they had packed the bag so it's unusual. Anyway the guy called John came to personally deliver the rest of our order. Hats of to this gentleman

This is primarily a fish and chip shop but it also offers pies including vegan ones. There is also mash, mushy peas and gravy to add to it. I was well out of my area and only through a hidden London tour did I come by this shop. It was a very cold and rainy evening and I fancied something warm and comforting. What better than some good old English grub? The first pie I ordered - Heidi was out of stock so I had to choose another. I chose - Kevin which was made with mushrooms the and red wine. It was a good choice. The pie was ever so tasty and ever so comforting. I would take a train ride just to eat there again.

Moxies was originally owned by Moxons, the fishmongers around the corner, but I believe it changed hands some months ago. Thankfully the fish is as fresh as ever, and the cooking has actually improved. Unusually, they do hake alongside more traditional cod, haddock etc and their chips are very good. Fish is either battered and fried or grilled, both delicious, with crispy batter and a notable absence of grease. Home made salads and sauces are also fresh and tasty, service friendly and efficient and prices very reasonable. There are a couple of tables but it's really a take away. Best fish and chips around, hands down!

I'm Franch and every Time i'm in London i must to go to Moxie's. Thé sauces are Just delicious and the fish very fresh and juicy.

It's a shame. This place has the potential to be the Harry Ramsdens of SW4. First time I used it the food was excellent. Next visit, mushy peas covered with half inch of water. Then again we went in one afternoon ....wonderful. Tonight some eight months later, mushy peas still swimming. Why. When you charge £1.50 for a little pot of them you really should get it right. They are PEAS. Fish and chips was lovely though. Who you get behind the counter seems to have a definite impact on taste and quality.

Amazingly fresh fish (all the way from the Shetlands every day) and all their own home made condiments. The chips were light, crunchy and fluffy inside - perfect! I had the skate done in a really light batter that was mouth waterlingly good!

Me encanta el hecho de que todo lo que sirven está preparado a pedido. Tomé un poco de merluza y patatas fritas, les pedí que hicieran mis papas más crujientes. La merluza era una cuña gruesa de pescado magníficamente perfecto y húmedo en una masa ligera y crujiente, las patatas fritas eran delicadamente crujientes por fuera y mullidas como puré de papas en el interior, me había mofado de la mitad de las papas fritas cuando llegué a casa. Una pizca ligera de sal marina y un poco de vinagre de un frasco de cebollas en escabeche y yo estaba en el cielo de Chippie.

Pedimos una toma de aquí. Vivimos a 6 minutos de distancia y el servicio de entrega hizo todo lo posible, ya que pudimos rastrear su bicicleta en su viaje. Pero desde el pedido hasta la entrega en una noche de lunes a viernes fue realmente por debajo del estándar. 75 minutos! Chips viejos y muy masticables. Pescado frío y sobre cocido. Muy mal valor

Yummy fish, fresh and hot. The staff was also great--helpful and friendly. The chips were the only downfall. They rate a solid average. But overall, an excellent pop in for a meal.

Este sitio es administrado por la pescadería, la vuelta de la esquina y puede probar en la frescura y calidad del pescado. He tenido tanto el pescado a la parrilla y maltratada y ambos son estupendos, el último ser maravillosamente ligeros y crujientes. Las patatas son geniales también, luz y suaves por dentro y crujientes por fuera.

I love their cod and haddock. The chunky chips are good but not crunchy as they said. Salads or prawns average. Very good, friendly stuff.

Ótimo fish and chips perto de Clapham South tube Station. Bons preços pelo tamanho da porção. Peixe fresco, porções generosas e algumas opções diferentes de peixe no cardápio. Tem apenas 4 mesas, sendo duas na rua. Melhor optar pelo take away, mas se precisar, tem espaço para consumir no local.

We had the chicken pie with mash and mushy peas and it was lovely! Melt in your mouth, home made goodness- would recommend.

Came in the evening after work, food was perfect and staff were friendly, highly recommended place too go too!!

Noche wed, ordenados eglefino y patatas, el pescado era patética, ni siquiera digno de un menú para niños estaría avergonzado para servir. A £8. 50 muy caro para un pedazo de pescado para llevar esperaría algo decente no un trozo de pescado como me dieron por qué el lugar estaba lleno. No te molestes en especial si tienes hambre, tuve que comprar otra comida a otro sitio!

Mi novio y yo había deseado comer aquí por edades y no nos decepcionó. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran increíbles! Las personas que estaban trabajando era muy amable y a pesar de la cola que atendieron con eficacia y amable. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar y volveremos pronto!

Este es nuestro barrio y venda pescado que uso un par de veces al mes. Los productos siempre es super fresco y cocinado. ¿Por qué quiere preparar pescado o marisco en casa cuando puede venir aquí. El personal es fantástico y sirven una buena variedad de platos de pescados y mariscos. Bien vale la pena.

Compramos un groupon para una comida "langosta para dos con postre, lados y bebidas. "Esto se hizo con el sonido como si de una comida en un restaurante. No te dejes engañar. Este es un poco llevar chippy fuerte olor de grasa chip con un par de mesas para los clientes para sentarse mientras se espera para en su pedido. No puedo decir que la calidad de la comida es como porque habíamos planeado ir a cenar, no para recoger un pescado & chips para llevar. Muy molesto que el Groupon era totalmente engañoso.

Este lugar parece bastante normal desde el exterior, pero ir allí ahora. El pescado es todo británico y está recién cocinado en fresco, masa de luz. Las raciones son enormes, lo bastante para dos personas. El servicio es muy amable y eficiente y los precios son bajos. Llevar vienen en atractivas reciclables. A la vuelta de la esquina de la estación de metro de Clapham south, este lugar es bien vale la pena un desvío.

El personal es muy amable, productos frescos y un buen pescado de forma fiable y patatas fritas. Recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera en Clapham/Balham/Wandsworth. Apoyo su local "fish and chips"!

I don't know what went wrong here tonight but the chips are old and hard and the fish is dry and tasteless.... I cannot eat it :-(

Love this place. Great cod and chips, nice and fresh from moxons fish monger round the corner. Also recommend the sea bass!

Bought the Groupon deal and my god it was good, charming team and really fresh, tasty lobster. Love it. Coming back.

Great fish , smiley waiter but quite disorganise (it is funny to watch though). I personally go for charcoal fish but they have battered fish and lobster as well.

Pretty gross meal tonight at moxies Clapham South, brown chips that tasted really bad and nasty fish. :( Asked the guy what fish he's recommend and he just kept reading the menu!

Treat of the week is the lunch special at just a fiver - crispy fish, so fresh it flakes, and massive portion of hot crunchy chips. A cut above.

Visited this tiny place on the spur of the moment-------cod and chips just £5 for the lunch special. Ordered an ice cold can of Coke and a portion of homemade tartare sauce----total £6.50.The chips were crisp and perfect. The battered fish was quite simply the freshest most delicious I've ever had.The service was super friendly. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

It's really hard to find decent fish and chips in London - I've been to a lot of the better reviewed places and a lot of them have been found lacking. It is then really great to find a fish and chippie that is properly good! They do traditional fish and chips as well as a variety of grilled fish, scampi, fish cakes, cod roe, homemade salads and so on. I thought it was probably best to judge on the classics and so had cod and chips with mushy peas and 'scraps'. If you're from ooop north you'll know that scraps are the yummy fried crispy bits of batter that fall off the fish and get served up to customers who know food of the gods when they taste it :-D If you're from down south, it's probably likely that you've not come across them because southern chippies don't seem to have them - which is a shame because you're missing out! They're best had in a buttered bread roll with plenty of salt and vinegar - if you go to Moxies then ask for them - you won't be disappointed! :)Anyway, back to the review......the cod was beautifully cooked and was a very generous portion encased in deliciously crispy batter. Unlike in some places, the piece of fish was nice and thick which meant that it remained tender and flaky - very good indeed. The chips could have done with a minute more cooking but I went on a very busy Friday night and despite this they were nicely cooked - crispy and fluffy inside. The mushy peas were also good as was the tartare sauce that came with the meal which tasted homemade - again, very nice indeed.So my search for really good fish and chips seems to be over - looking forward to my next visit! The service (despite the shop being manically busy) was very nice and smiley too - which is always a bonus.

Had a great takeaway on Saturday night. They do the standard chip-shop stuff - cod and chips, scampi, etc - but they also do a really good range of grilled fish. I had grilled bream with a fennel salad and it was cooked to perfection! We also had scampi and chips, mackerel and beetroot salad and everything tasted really good.Staff were lovely and friendly too.
