We got a chips and curry sauce on our way back from the tube. Normally great service here but curry sauce was like water when we opened it, we'd expect better

Appalling . Old dirty oil the cheapest of the cheapest of ingredients are used and the hygiene is appalling. Exactly what I expected it to be. Come on use your common sense or learn the hard way like I did.

This is now under new management and the Lighthouse no longer exists.

Portion size gone down and price gone up. Won't be going there ever again! Chips not that great either.

Used to come here for chips, lately I came and the chips were not fresh and less then usually. Looks like they put the prices up for lower quality and smaller amount. This is the last time I bought the chips here. Maybe new owner? Would not be surprise, but if there are still the same owners shame on them then

Has this now closed for good? It was the best in the area by miles so I hope it re-opens again soon.

Opening hours are wrong right now it's 17:40 on Sunday and it's closed. Did a journey for no reason?!

Is usually very nice but one of the last times I went, the food wasn't fresh, I thought maybe it was just late... I was REALLY craving fish n Chips this week, so took a 40 mins round trip walk down at 1pm today, and despite it saying OPEN on Google it was closed... So very upset

Got takeaway large fish & chips (£11.50) for the first time from this place and it was so bad after around 5 chips and two bites of fish, we had to throw the whole lot in the bin. The chips were dry, tasteless and had the consistency of cardboard, and the fish was so overcooked it had a dark brown, almost black batter, and the fish inside was thin and dry, as if it had been sat there all day. Absolutely awful. Never again.

Order never arrived. Stated delivered. Restaurant does not answer the phone after multiple calls. Disgusting service. Drivers steal peoples orders and restaurant steals peoples money. Will never ever order from them again.

Ordered at 7:30pm and the driver came with the wrong order. He then went back to the shop and never returned with the right order. It’s now 2 hours later and I’ve tried to call the place 17 times but no one answered. I paid online. Lost my money and my food. The worst service ever.

I ordered rock and chips for my husband and I last night for the 1st time from this place and we were so impressed the fish was lovely and presented really well in separate boxes with a slice of lemon the chips were really nice and not at all greasy. We will definitely use the lighthouse fish bar on a regular basis

Quite honestly one of the best fish and chips that I've had, luckily we live super close and can get it often! Lovely staff and more than generous portions. Also the curry sauce is the best around !

He estado yendo a esta tienda de chips durante 12 años y fueron excelentes, porciones generosas, ¡excelente personal! Siempre cocinaba todo lo que pedías si aún no estaba listo. El año pasado llegó un nuevo propietario, el tamaño de las porciones se redujo drásticamente y no me cocinaba un bacalao grande cuando lo pedía. Seguía diciendo "tengo regular". Las papas fritas grandes eran más pequeñas que una porción mediana, ni siquiera se considerarían una porción pequeña. No me importa lo que pago, cuando quiero algo no me preocupa el precio, pero cuando pido algo del menú, no intente venderme otra cosa y luego robar mi dinero dándome una fracción del orden pero cobrame el precio completo. No he vuelto desde entonces y no lo haré.

Entregaron la comida equivocada por completo y cuando llamé para avisarles, el gerente dijo "no es mi problema". Le dije que era un cliente habitual y pensé que su actitud era increíble y me dijo que fuera y colgó. Evite como la plaga.

Gave me the completely wrong order and when I phoned them up to correct it i heard the colleague of the guy on the phone say “just say we’re closed and hang up” if you wasn’t so far from me I’d walk in to your shop and launch the food in your pathetic faces you bunch of c****

Como allí muy a menudo.El propietario siempre es cortés y cocinará todo recién si no está listo. La comida siempre es fresca y el servicio para una tienda de este tipo es insuperable. Recomendado para niños, ya que se trata igual de bien. Los precios son más que razonables y más baratos que en otros lugares a nivel local.

Fui con mis dos hijos pequeños (6 y 11) porque querían Fish and Chips tradicional. Y obtuvimos exactamente eso, pero en espadas, el pescado fue excepcional. Realmente fresco en una masa perfecta, también tengo algo de gyro de pollo que fue increíble. Los chicos en realidad comieron su comida! Un milagro. Y se lo pidieron de nuevo. Y ciertamente lo haremos! ¡Brillante!

Uso de pescado congelado, que pierde su sabor, a diferencia de la pareja de chinos que tenía antes. En general cara y tratar de que fuera con termina fob de cola de bacalao en lugar de oriente medio pero aún así cobran por 'peces de gran tamaño. Bien preparado, pero no obtiene lo que se paga por desgracia.

Even a small portion of chips will feed two. Good fish. Decent kebabs. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

My husband and I have tried the chips from here when after a quick and easy dinner fix and three out of three times the chips were just great. I've tried the fish, too, which was nice and the saveloy, which was ok, but only because of personal taste. We weren't expecting much the first time we stopped here on our way home but we we so impressed by the taste and the quality has been consistent. I don't know why they are so good, it's just chips, but they really do taste better than other chip shops I've been to in recent years. Felt I had to leave a review for them!

El Faro es una maravillosa tienda de chocolate. El personal es muy amable y turca, las porciones de patatas fritas son generosas y el pescado es deliciosa, nos orden abadejo, solla y rock. El pescado es preparado a pedido, normalmente teléfono 15 minutos antes. Esto asegura que cocinar el pescado fresco y todo está caliente.
