We found this garden centre by chance. I'd intended to eat elsewhere but that fell through so looking for somewhere near to a church we wanted to visit I found this garden centre. It was 1pm on a Sunday and absolutely packed, with a constant stream of people arriving. A good selection of hot and cold food including specials and a lovely selection of cakes. I had quiche, salad and buttered potatoes which was tasty. My husband had Macaroni cheese which was surprisingly generous and came with salad and garlic bread. We rounded it off with a pot of tea and a cake each. It cost £35, which was less than the meal we'd have the previous day, for more food and much better quality. Would definitely recommend and you then have the garden centre to explore as well. Plenty of parking. Service quick even though it was so busy.

Called in for lunch. The hanging baskets all around the centre are an absolute delight, I can appreciate the care and attention they take, it shows that this garden centre really look after their plants, a great sign. Lots of lovely homewares etc, but we'd come for lunch. Reasonably priced, lovely food, we had our dog with us so sat outside and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Once again, the hanging basket displays are a sight to behold. ❤️

What an incredible garden centre. I have never seen plants in such good condition and they are doing four large perennials for £10 or 6.50 each. Everywhere you go the plants are outstanding and what an incredible choice. So after walking round we decided to go to the cafe. Honestly you will not be disappointed we had two coffees which were excellent. My wife had a toasted brie, bacon and cranberry toastie, that came with an excellent salad and crisps. I had the prawn and mayo on a bloomer sandwich, again with salad and crisps. It really was brilliant, I have never seen so many juicy prawns. If you are in the great Yarmouth area it really is worth going to

We visited the coffee shop at the garden centre specifically. The coffee shop is located in the heart of the garden centre and has a large seating area inside and out. The front counter is easily accessible and has menus, specials board, savoury snacks and a selection of cakes. Breakfast is served until 11am and lunch starts 11:30am. We arrived for lunch and were greeted with a smile by Sav and Nicola. They were both very friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the menu. We paid by card and found a seat outside. Our drinks and lunch were brought out by Millie very quickly and were presented nicely. Millie asked us if everything was okay and if we needed anything else! We had sandwiches and sausage rolls they were very fresh and tasted delicious. Our tea was hot and cold drinks came with ice and lemon. We will definitely be back to the coffee shop. Plus a special thank you to Sav, Nicola and Millie for making our visit so lovely!

Went for afternoon tea was greeted by the most miserable lady at the counter who looked like she’d rather be anywhere else than there. Was told follow her (which was another lady) she’ll show you your table. Wasn’t told at first that tea and coffee was unlimited. Had to find members of staff yourself to get a refill as they didn’t once come over and ask. Very unprofessional.

We have been regulars at this nursery for a few years now. A month ago we paid £1500 for garden furniture. Sunday we went again and brought some furniture and two trees. As they was delivering we asked for two bags of soil to plant the trees in the delivery. When they delivered we got 2 bags of tomato grow bags. When we called them they said they will bring 2 bags of soil needed tomorrow and swap them over. On the Tuesday they called to say we have to pay a delivery charge even though it was their mistake. On refusing and telling them that after spending £650 in their store on Sunday and they had made the mistake we wasn’t paying, they said they would get one of their workers who lives near us to drop the soil off. Today (Friday) this has still not been delivered. I called and they said it’s now being delivered on Monday (1 week on) I told them not acceptable I have 2 trees sitting on my patio waiting to be planted. They said the manager will call me back and I’ve still not heard. We have spent a few thousand over the years on plants and various things. Never again and if could take them all back I would. Absolutely appalling customer service. No regular customer loyalty. They will never see us in that store again. My advice is avoid this place at all costs

We have been to this garden centre few times a year for many years and for the first time despite an interior update the food has become very expensive and yet cheap tasting! Had four cakes and everyone was disappointed very dry and not enjoyable at all! Coffee was good although expensive for a small cup! Such a shame wouldn’t rush back!

This is a place I often visit for a meal which is generally good with friendly staff. However on ordering a scone with butter and jam discovered that the jam pot had been reused and another brand (unknown) of jam had been placed in it. The label had been removed but the make on the lid showed the make of the original contents. On questioning the staff I was told it was done as it was cheaper. I won't be going there again.

We are regular visitors to Moulton Nurseries and always enjoy our visit. The garden centre is very well kept and all the plants look healthy. We have purchased quite a few plants over the last year and they are all thriving. We always go to the coffee shop once we have finished wandering around the garden centre. The coffee is nice and the scones and cakes are always tasty and fresh. Definitely worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely Garden centre but I’ve had to mark it down for the Coffee shop, which lets it down. This is the second time we’ve been for coffees in the morning and have been greeted by a really grumpy lady on the counter. Today she ignored me initially and then as she took my order was tutting and sighing - I even asked her if everything was okay but she just dismissed me and asked me where I was sitting! The other staff in the coffee shop seem really pleasant.

We have been enjoying lunches here for years, but when we visited a few weeks ago we ordered quiche and salad. At almost £9 each it was disappointing to receive a tiny, cold slice of quiche with a few new potatoes and tiny handful of salad leaves. The service was awkward with the one way system, when we just wanted to ask for some salad cream, so we had to give up on that!To be fair though, my friend was there for a birthday afternoon tea the same day and was thrilled with the selection.

Found Moulton's almost by accident. Used the Reedham chain ferry ,just for fun, then discovered Moultons Garden centre. Obviously well known to locals judging by numbers in the cafe. Cafe was really good value with food and snacks really well presented and good value for money. Garden centre had a good range of plants and some we had not seen elsewhere. Lots of accessories and gifts too. Almost a mini village in itself. Looking forward to visiting again

Well, this was a last visit before things are open again so it was still a take away style service whilst seated outside. As always the staff are good, and they do one of the hottest lattes I know. The Malteaser millionaires shortbread was thick and unfortunately impossible to cut with the wooden knife provided so a little challenging to eat.I've marked this visit down due to the disappointing cheese scone that was undercooked and quite doughy inside. I do like strawberry jam with a cheese scone and was disappointed again as the small plastic jam portion was cheap and flavourless and barely enough to cover one half of the scone let alone both halves. So, the scone and jam really didn't hit the spot.

Coffee shop and restaurant Cakes used to be great here but no more clearly a cash n carry powder mix or similar is used in general the round sponge cakes may as well be a Betty Crocker which is fine if I weren’t expecting homemade , the banana tray bake with the thick frosting no substance whatsoever to that sponge and there’s an aftertaste that you don’t get with real homemade cakes . Maybe they can get away with calling it homemade if they have to add ingredients to powder mix and bake but it tastes in the product . A change of supplier to someone that can cook properly and it shows in their product . In general meals are ok can be very sparse on garnish and microwave pinging is far to often as hot spots appear in meals such as Mac n cheese and becomes inedible yet still served . Glasses and cutlery need to be more rigorously checked as these are often dirty . Also better choices needed for soft drinks . The soups they serve are lovely . Painis are in reality just a squashed in toasty maker baguette so that’s disappointing , they do have a good selection of sandwiches ,wraps and fillings , a little more salad on side would be better as they are not cheap in price . Scones not a great deal of flavour here I’d suggest adding cayenne to the cheese ones and maybe add some Parmesan to the mix to give richer flavour . Dry fruit scones . Staff in restaurant are very good coping very well with new rules for Covid . Clientele are mixed, a lot of older people in particular . Garden centreGreat little gift shop area with unusual greetings cards once you get past the expensive traps as you walk in . Seem to if put are far amount of glass in there for extortionate prices most of which I’ve seen in shops such as tkmaxx for a fraction of the cost . Plants on the expensive side and alot of which do not last long when they get home . Shoe shop in a garden center WHY ? Never seen anyone in there and the poor till person is always looking out desperately at you as you walk past . The expensive designer interior items on opposite side of shoe shop area has anything here ever sold ? What a waste of floor space . Parking is usually good plenty of space and once again staff are very helpful and will always bring items out to car for you . It’s just my opinion of the place it’s sometimes very good sometimes not so

We were not disappointed; the cafe/restaurant is light and airy - we sat in the garden room. Lunch choice was sweet and sour chicken for my husband and sausage baguette for me. Both were delicious with the baguette served with a side salad, coleslaw and crisps. Tea was loose leaves which is always a treat. The cakes look very good and all made by a local lady we were informed. Sadly no room for a cake but we did take two fruit scones home for later. We stumbled across Moulton Nurseries Garden Centre when we were looking for somewhere local for a Sunday cooked breakfast after a weekend break in Norfolk. This gem of a Garden Centre had plants and flowers of incredible quality, and it is obvious that the staff here know what they are doing as they presented such an abundance and variety of colourful healthy plants that you’d think it was the middle of summer rather than a wet cold March morning. We hadn’t intended to buy any plants but couldn’t help ourselves after we tucked in to an excellent breakfast from the Centre’s coffee shop; The Greenhouse. This cafe also presented a large variety of cakes including warm, well risen scones. Unfortunately there was no clotted cream available but the fruit scones were delicious, and moist, just with butter. The coffee was also excellent. I would highly recommend a visit to both the Garden Centre for plants (and also a huge choice of other items to purchase such as clothing, accessories, gardening implements, China goods, wildlife feeders etc) and a stop at The Greenhouse for quality food

Food quality very good. However joined the loyalty club and was informed you get two free coffees per month. Can somebody therefore explain to me why if you order a latte you have to pay an extra 30p per cup for the extra milk ? Secondly went there today and an elderly couple ordered a meal and when it arrived it was not what they ordered. When this was pointed out to the staff they were told that the person who made it must have been on the drink the night before ! From what I could see there was no apology and no offer to rectify this mistake ! Thirdly why are members of staff allowed to eat lunch in the venue when it was packed and paying members of the public with young children either could not get a seat or had to sit outside in the cold ? TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. !!!!! If you join a loyalty club like Nottcutts with free coffees they can be Americano’s , Lattes, small / large whatever you like at no extra charge. After all firms like these make enough profit out of their plant sales.

We've had lunch here several times before. Normally we have either the prawn and melon salad or toasted sandwiches (the gluten free bread is really nice) and have always enjoyed our lunch. However this week I decided to try the sausage, mash, peas and gravy meal from the specials board. When it arrived I was disappointed with the portion size for the mash and in fact when finished I was still hungry which is unusual for me. When our meals were brought to us were were not asked if there was anything else we needed i.e. sauces which I would have liked as I had requested no gravy. I believe the sausages had been reheated as they were a bit shrivelled and hard at the ends. Unfortunately my friends salad which is usually very nice was smothered in dressing which overpowered the flavour of the salad. I have only given an average rating for this weeks visit but for previous visits I would have given a higher rating.

Cakes and coffee pleasant enough although the tea they use is very weak you need to ask for an extra tea bag in your pot. What strikes me about this place is there is no atmosphere and the reason is because the staff just don't have anything friendly/warmth about them. Even watching them working behind the counter they don't speak to each other, when people leave they don't thank them, when there is someone at the counter they don't acknowledge them with just standard pleasantries like a simple hello and a smile, it's a team of people who have no warmth about them to the public especially the older lady behind the counter, not friendly at all. We usually get the loyalty card but I won't anymore. There was a lady in there a few years ago who was bubbly and very friendly, she made that coffee shop a nice place to be, not anymore. Shame really as it could be nice again if it had staff with personality who made you feel welcome.

After stopping off to see Father Christmas at Moulton Nurseries, we headed into the coffee shop for a light lunch. We have never been here before so was pleasantly surprised. The coffee shop had leather chairs to sit on which gives it a lovely feel. Beautiful homemade cakes available and plenty of them to choose from. My children had a little packed lunch although I think it should have had a satsuma in which we didn't get. My husband had a BLT sandwich which looked amazing, really well presented on his plate and I had their soup which tasted lovely. Will definitely pop back at some point in the future now we know it is there!

I take my Dad regularly as a treat. Being in his 90s he enjoys his sandwich and cakes. This gem of a place is ideal and is top of his visit list.

We are always cautious about overprices cafes tagged onto garden centres. However, this one feels less commercial and more like a traditional cafe. Friendly staff, nice sandwiches and a good selection of cakes. Ample parking and nice atmosphere. Price wise is typical of cafes vs garden centres therefore these met our expectations. We will return.

This is a cafe in an off the beaten track garden centre so you'd expect value for money to be top of the list to draw people in. Not really the case, I've just paid over eighteen pounds for two sandwiches and two hot drinks. This is the first and last time I will pay over three quid for a not particularly special hot chocolate this decade. My wife's sandwich had been sliced with the same knife as my coronation chicken leaving a bright yellow smear across it, not a huge issue but if she'd been a vegetarian it would have been returned. Not particularly keen on seeing staff in a kitchen biting their nails either.Food was OK but overall a disappointing experience.

My husband and I visited Moulton nurseries today and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Very tasty, nicely served, polite and efficient staff, comfortable choice of seating. Good to see graded 5 for hygiene. Very busy but calm and peaceful atmosphere and reasonably priced. I asked about gluten free and received helpful advice to assist my choice of food. The garden centre, and additional small shop units also excellent for quality.

We visited here after spending a pleasant time wandering around the garden centre. There is so much to see here both in the garden centre and the gift shop. We enjoyed a tasty lunch, all freshly prepared and, as it was a nice day, had the pleasure of sitting in the small rectangular courtyard garden which is an absolute suntrap. Starting to plan my next visit which I am sure will be in the very near future. For anyone interested in hats there is a delightful hat shop in the garden centre grounds where the lady who owns makes all her own hats and the creations are a wonder to behold.

An excellent place for lunch or just a treat! Lovely coffee and beautifully home cooked cakes and scones. The afternoon tea for two is lovely as well.Paninis and baked potatoes are lovely and all served with nice salads. And you have the treat of looking around a very well stocked garden centre too!

For the first time today called in to the Coffee Shop for lunch and wasn't disappointed. At that time I hadn't read any reviews. What did I enjoy? The atmosphere, a mix of locals and holiday visitors, the service from all staff, and a light lunch. The coffee shop has a well-deserved 5 star hygiene rating. I noticed that Luxury Afternoon Teas are served during week-days between specified times of the day. 24hrs notice is required for these so we intend to book within the next week. As mentioned by others the coffee shop is situated inside Moulton Nurseries Plant Centre which has an excellent selection of quality plants including hanging baskets. Within the Nursery there are little shops within shops - one being a shoe shop which I couldn't resist. I noticed genuine Sale items in the Nursery and Shoe Shop. Does it differ from other "Garden Centres"? - in my opinion it does.

My wife and I have been customers at Moulton for some years. We keep returning because it provides us with a good excuse to look round the beautiful garden centre topped-up with scones and coffee. We have also had full meals there and never been disappointed. It's friendly and informal and all year round remains very popular.

Had lunch here with wife and three daughters to celebrate a birthday. Food very good indeed and did not have long to wait before it was delivered to table. A little pricey but well worth it as portions were large and well presented. Will definitely return as the coffee shop is complimented by an impressive nursery and gift shop(s).

We were driving towards Acle from Petits hoping to find somewhere to stop for lunch with our hungry young family! The coffee shop was busy so we decided it was a good sign. Our order was swiftly taken at the till and drinks arrived quickly to our table. The young man serving was extremely helpful and bought us back some hot water to make a bottle for our baby. The food was quick and delicious! Seating area had some beautiful artwork that we admired while we ate. All in all a fantastic experience and we were chuffed with our lucky discovery!

we regularly go here for coffee ,which is surprisingly good. there's a good selection of cakes and the food looks inviting. They must be doing well as they have spent lots of money on an extension. more papers and current mags would be welcome. Combined with good plants and knick-knacks in the garden centre this is a good trip out.

We were treated by friends who had visited before to afternoon tea. We arrived about 2.30pm & did not leave until 4.30pm, at no time were we rushed & we were asked several times if we wanted more tea. We had a selection of about 5 different finger sandwiches, 2 small scones each as well as other cakes and macaroons. We were even offered a doggy bag for the uneaten cakes. I would thoroughly recommend this tea room, unfortunately we did not have time to look around the Garden Centre, maybe next time.

As regulars here as we have a loyalty card often pop out for coffee & cake, today hubby wanted to try breakfast , 3 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, tomato, mushrooms and beans with 2 rounds of toast , was easily devoured by him and throughly enjoyed, ( only thing I would say at £6.99 I think a pot of tea could be thrown in with the price)I just had 2 slices of toast with were lovely with my cup of tea. Keep up the good work as what you are doing works well. Thank you !

Happened across this lovely place on a walk with our dog. We all had ice cream including the dog with a very nice brownie to follow. Sit amongst the trees and just listen to the birds and watch the world go by.

We only went for lunch and we both decided to have the ribeye steak medium rare with chips. At £27 (now £34) a head we expected a decent steak but were very disapointed, it was tough, the waitress said she would tell the chef. They also add a 10% tip! A gratuity should be given for good service not just added to the bill.
