I placed order yesturday food was dry and awful normaly i go duckworth lane they hot and spicy burger to die for got it from here disgusting never again waste of money no one ate the food we purchased.

Mother Hubbard's is a fantastic chippy. I've come from London and tried the fish and chips. The potions here are much larger, tastier and overall better. This is the third branch I've tried in Bradford and I know that each branch has been consistent.

Mama n son enjoyed the polite service and calm atmosphere, the lady that served us was kind by reminding us that the second topping for the spuds was free which we didn’t know about so thank you lovely lady.

As always perfect fish and chips and the portion sizes more than enough

Staff can be rude or impolite at times. Lack basic customer service and interpersonal skills. Staff should wear gloves when handling food especially when they come back from smoking outside. Hygiene is lacking. Food is good though.

What an awful place to go as an asian...take a picture with christmas tree n those 2 witches will be noding there heads like we robbed their whole bank balance...u ask them if ur order is ready n they ll say NOOOOOO!!! no what? Atleast say no its not ur order pal or smthng...i hope the boss man dsnt teach this to all of his or her staff...by the way if i'd say anythng rude tht wud be judged for the rest of bradford ( asians) wish i could give 0 stars

Usually go to this one and have no issue but I went to the Duckworth lane one today and know it is the same owner. Staff were rude and talking to each other rather than me which wasn’t too bad but the food was another story. Adult fish and chips was nice, but the kids fish bites were long strips of thinly sliced fish in a batter thicker than the fish. Never had this problem at Ingleby road or legrans lane but duckworth lane was ridiculous. In the picture is basically one fish bite I’ve put together after picking it apart to feed kids the decent fish.

Very good customer service. The Palestine box if very filling and only £10. It can easily feed 2 people. All food was fresh and tasty. Got the spicy curry sauce as well which was different. Never tried this else where would highly recommend. The prices where decent across the board! And they have a very big car park.

Not a good fish, not a fresh fish they use, after eating but so awful afterwards. We will not go there again There is a waste of money and a waste of health. All friends feel bad after eat

This place is dirty and the food greasy and soggy. I suppose you get what you pay for BUT our meal wasn’t edible. Threw it is the bin :-(

Good food but the spicy fish and the spicy curry sauce is horrible. It's just got a lot of chilli powder mixed into it.

Nice freshly cooked food, made to order so you may have a little bit of a waiting time. I am a support worker and we bring the guys that we support here and staff are very good with them. Usually we have the children's fish bites with chips and buy a pot of mushy peas as it is big enough for an adult. We always find it's very tasty, you get 3 decent sized pieces of fish yummy.

So I guess Mother hubbards doesn't care about the environment or their customers anymore! They put very hot mushy peas and curry sauce in small plastic containers which deformed by the time we got home!!

Lovely fast service from maryam, enjoyed the fish and chips, will be back soon inshallah.

Ordered food from here couple of times now they’ve gave stale rock hard chips. I hat a waste of money, save your money don’t buy form this one the Leeds road one is so much better

Came to eat at mother hubards really love the food but I must say one of the workers was sat in the back filing his nails was not impressed

Heard alot about this so thought I give it a try. And one of the worst experiences. The batter on the fish was soggy and chips overcooked the bread bun also looked extremely stale the customer service was decent. West park fisheries or hill top fisheries are much better and traditional.

Don’t bother!! I called at 8:35pm to order 1 portion of fish and chips for 9pm pick up , the staff said that’s fine but didn’t even bother taking my name , I asked her does she not need to know my name she said it’s not busy love come at 9pm it will be ready . Went at 9:10pm asked the staff she had no idea whatsoever , she said it will be 2 mins , I literally had to walk off as it wouldn’t have been 2 mins and would have been 10 mins. When you order food its supposed to be ready , the staff are careless and not bothered at all about good customer service . Very poor customer service. Will never go there again!!!

Visit 27/08/2023 afternoon. Polite staff and a clean shop overall. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. I ordered a fish cake butty at £4.95 which came with a generous amount of chips too. Thank you to all at Mother Hubbards Ingleby Rd BD8. See you soon.

Got overcooked and undercooked chips customers before me refused the chips

Standards have really gone down Just got fish and chips today and the chips were undercooked and looked and tasted awful So greasy and the curry sauce was so thick and lumpy Really annoyed wasted my money

The fish smelt and tasted funny this time. Younger staff walking round woth zombie faces and a chip on the shoulder for some reason. Rather go to West park fisheries. Hands down best fish and chips round there tbh.

Visited this place for the first time in June 2023. Good clean place, quick service, friendly staff. Ordered fish, chips and beans which was really nice and the right size portion. The downside is the toilets as they were a mess.

The lady on the counter is so nice. Bless her. I didn't hear her and I said to curry sauce on top of chips yes. She changed in straight away without hesitation. Food and price was spot on.

All Halal ~ First time at mother Hubbard. Tried plenty of fish and chips shops Amazing food, great service by Joyce she is such a nice lady very welcoming after a long 3 hour drive from London. Would definitely come back. Come check it out. Only suggestion for reteraunt is having sauce bottles for convenience.

Really oily but the flavour is definitely there. The spicy fish sandwich was decent. Could have been better, couldn't really taste the spicy of the spicy fish but overall flavour of fish was on point.

Food ordered spice fish sandwich and chips buy 1get 1 free £9.99 portions also chicken sandwich buy one get one free £9.99 fish was 1cm thick with sweet sauce chicken was same with sweet sauce to make money from these offers they half portion sizes and reduce quality of food chicken tasted like rubber just utterly disgusting

Horrible food 2 chicken burger meal and 2 fish bun meals over cooked makeing 2 portions out of one very badly cooked food just ripping people off disgrace to the mother Hubbard name just want your money

Prices have increased at this Ingelby road mother Hubbards by a lot Special and chips was £9.45 last time I went not so long ago now it’s shockingly gone up by £3.00 to ***£12.95 **** Noticed at this branch everything has increased in price I checked with the other 2 branches Legrams lane and Leeds road mother Hubbards prices still similar as before (£9.95) On the website prices are different aswell

Very disappointed. Noticed new faces in the form staff and on this occasion bought fish & chips, fish tacos and spicy fish. Fish tacos are ok. Spicy fish is bad, due to hardened batter which was cracking off. Chips appeared under fried and clearly appeared oily. Standards have gone down on this occasion. Overall, won't be inclined to buy here again as good money has been wasted. Definitely need experienced chefs!

Clean and tidy place. Plenty of parking spaces available. Fish was done perfectly 10/10. Batter was crispy and cooked all the way through, and not oily or under cooked. Chips were acceptable 7/10. Mushy pease were great 10/10, not too runny or under cooked. There was a wide selection of soda cans. Even though I ordered a special, I didn't have to wait too long before the waitress brought it over to my table.

In a word... Awful. It's also overpriced. Simply living off the legacy of the founder but as is typical unable to sustain the standards. Tasteless mush but packaged nicely. To make matters worse the bread bun they gave me had mould growing on it & not just a bit. All fur coat and no knickers. Avoid.

Best fish and chips in Bradford but pakistani boss shouldn't come there in opening hours as he act like a big man.. to many steroids. In real life one slap and he would feel a sleep on his nice car again... I always thought it's British place and now I'm very disappointed as I will never go there again. Rather English small shop than big chain with Asian owner/manager who acts like little kid showing off..

Visited here at lunch time to find a staff member stood with head in arms leaning on the front counter. Ordered a fish butty almost £8 and when i put a bottle of Oasis on the counter was told £2.. i quickly put it back. Then a chap stood in full view counting bundles of cash which i found very bizarre, no smile no welcome just made to feel like a number and i was the only person in the restaurant 1.20 on lunchtime weekday which said it all really. I then went to the toilet which was dirty with broken tiles. Needless to say i wont be returning here.

Visited this fish n chip shop as I was passing by and heard the name alot. The place was clean, nice seating available, friendly staff, decent price, collection of drinks, nice long fish not too greasy and parking outside. Nothing special but will recommend a try. Wow Fish and chips is done right here. Very delicious would recommend to all who love their fish and chips. Very nice and lit place, nice and cozy sitting, good for family dinner’s. I really liked their interior and cleanliness was really good which is biggest plus point in any food place.

Since few years of this place changing ownership this has gone from a 8/10 to 1/10 this place needs new ownership to make a come back I would eat at other branches this I would avoid or waste money with no satisfaction
