It was my birthday and four of my friends and myself booked this delightful Tea Room for a light lunch. It was amazing, the presentation, quality and quantity was exceptional. Morwenna is a very attractive and lovely lady, she looked after us very well. The Tea Room itself is very small but this in no way detracts from the calm ambience, I love it and so do my friends. The cakes and scones are to die for, all home made, bone china tea service and nothing is too much trouble. Only downside, there is no room for a toilet as it is situated at the back of the Jewellery shop. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I found this review really hard to write. My sister and I called in here for a pot of tea. The staff were very welcoming and the place itself was very pretty. We shared a pot of tea for two and I was shocked to have to pay 5.80 for it!!! As nice as it was, I could not really justify paying that much just for a pot of tea

We popped into Morwenna's for a quick snack, and it definitely way exceeded our expectations. We nearly missed this treat, as it was tucked away in the back of an extremely tempting jewellery shop. The owner made us feel extremely welcome, and talked us through the cakes - explaining that the Bakewell tart had been fresh that morning, and almost hadn't cooled in time to add the icing. It was delicious! We also shared a ham, yarg cheese and apple chutney doorstep sandwich. Again, a treat for the tastebuds - lovely thick chunks of honey roast ham. The cafe itself is really pretty, and quite quirky. Definitely well worth a visit.

I didn't know that this relatively new little gem was open, just passing and went in on a whim, serendipity. Next time I'll go in specifically because it's such a lovely place. Small and unexpected, unusual setting at rear of a jeweller's shop. Very peaceful. It serves imaginative meat and crab sandwiches but also veggie sandwiches and vegan options, flexible approach by very welcoming knowledgeable owner who is passionate about this venture and it shows. Proper bread generously handcut filled with delicious yarg cheese, tomatoes and cranberry sauce with an ample fresh imaginative proper crisp side-salad' with sliced strawberries which makes a refreshing change from limp packet 'mixed salad' found in so many other places. I had to ask for half of my sandwich to be wrapped to take home as I was full up. I had a top-up pot of tea. Excellent value. The cakes look amazing, largest I've ever seen! There's also a fun-looking children's menu based on storybook characters' favourite meals, my grand-children will love it. The only slight-downside was no room for toilets so it may be worth visiting the public ones at the bus station 5 minutes walk away first.

The setting is very refined and quietly comfortable, away from the bustle of the city. Ideal for lunch or afternoon refreshments, the crab sandwiches are superb, easily the best we have eaten in Cornwall. Tea, coffee and fruit juices all excellent and dont miss the Lemon Meringue - if there is any left! Perfect in every way.

Very welcoming, Great ice cream flavours. Especially the Ferrero Roche and Millionaires shortbread. Lady went above and beyond for our dog letting her sit in the shade on a 25 degree day to enjoy her pup cup. Thank you!

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.
