If there is going to be a 1+ hour wait for food despite hardly any customers please put a sign up on the machine or let people know. Waiting for 40 minutes to then enquire how much longer to be told oh ah least 20 minutes isn't acceptable. Consistent long waiting times, frequent "out of stock" (how you run out of beans in a supermarket cafe with 200 tins on the shelves I don't know). Get more staff, improve customer service training, improve your wait times.

Unorganised chaos. Hour and a quarter wait with no warning. Most of menu wasn't there but decided to tell us in 20minute intervals that what we had ordered, wasn't in stock. When food eventually arrived, order was wrong and food was cold. Will never be returning. Avoid

We joined the queue to order food at lunchtime only to be informed that the cafe was closed for hot meals. The local disabled gentleman in front of us said he had regular shocking experiences of this cafe!! We went and ordered hot food from the counter in Morrisons and returned to the cafe, thinking as we had purchased hot food from the store, could see a few people sat down and many tables free it would be alright. I sat down at a table and started to eat, whilst my partner ordered a tea. A male member of staff approached and told me to leave, even though tables free and eating hot food from the store. I complied - although could see no harm in the circumstances! As I stood waiting for my partner near the entrance, I was approached by the same member of staff again to be told to leave, even though explained that I was waiting for my partner ordering tea in the cafe!!! This is the worst experience I have ever experienced in any cafe or restaurant in my many years!! Judging by the reviews many other customers have had bad experiences of this cafe!!

Fancied a cuppa after doing some shopping and noticed a cream tea for one at just £2.99. Took the option of an egg mayo sandwich (1 slice of bread) scone with Tiptree Strawberry jam and Clonnda clotted cream, plus a pot of tea that provided 2 cups. Seriously good value. Friendly staff as well. What is not to like?

Morrisons used to do good breakfasts but todays breakfast was awful, the worst I have ever tasted. It was not even luke warm. The sausages were pink in the centre. The hash browns not quite cooked in the middle. So disappointed. Last few experiences in their not been the best, we won’t be back again.

Ordered an egg sandwich & tea via the terminal Where you pay up front !! It asks for a table number which you don’t know without you finding one first . Doesn’t mention this !! Tea is provided by a woman at the end bellowing down the cafe which you have to go and collect. The egg sandwich just disappeared into the galaxy 35 mins & waiting presently !! Obviously the slapping of the buttered bread with filling course together not been completed by the staff yet !! Last time I was here four years back cafe was packed with plenty of staff now limited disinterested staff & 80 per cent empty ….. No doubt the cost cutting seen as progress !!!! I’ve given up … Xtra large dinner later instead at home 😀

To start with the café in general is in a poor state, shabby and dirty looking. Most of the tables were not cleared away and definitely haven't had a clean. I ordered food but they were out of most items so went for macaroni and cheese and the other person in my party had scampi and chips. Staff member was friendly and polite. Then about 20 mins later our food arrived. Again, the staff member was polite which is always a bonus hence the extra star rating. To start with the scampi and chips was absolutely tiny. Child size portion but full adult size price. A few end bits of chips, about four miniscule scampi and a spoon of tin peas. Appalling!! Macaroni and cheese was passable but was literally half a tin of macaroni and cheese with a handful of salad in a bag and two warmish slices of frozen garlic bread. At least it wasn't as tiny size as the scampi. All together the meal cost just over £20 which was a complete rip off. I could have had a delicious pub meal for that and really enjoyed it and in clean and pleasant surroundings. I'd definitely not go there for a meal again.

Extra black pudding 99p for one lousy slice! Odd ordering system - find table, take the table number, use this when ordering at the till or touchscreen. Touchscreen doesn’t know what decaf coffee is so you’ll need to do this at till.

Since the local Sainsburys closed their cafe, Morrisons could take the opportunity to invest in their cafe to attract more customers. However, it is now shabby and understaffed (and gives the impression of being run down - perhaps deliberately?) We had to queue up and pay, and then told to find a table - very brusquely (God help anyone with mobility problems). We waited 25 minutes for scrambled egg on toast. Staff looked harassed and I guessed that morale is low. No customer interaction beyond the bare minimum. BUT when our food came it was plentiful and tasty, including the thicky sliced and pre-buttered (with margerine?) wholemeal bread, and good value for money.

4 times I've visited in the last 3 months and 4 times it's been awful. I keep hoping it would get better and am always happy to give second chances but have finally given up on trying now. 1st time our breakfasts took forever and then were cold. 2nd time our food took forever and then my burger was red raw (and cold). 3rd time, again took forever then our salads were nothing like the photo and had 2 main ingredients missing. 4th time it took 24 minutes for 1 toasted teacake! We raised the issue with a member of staff on each occasion (apart from the first time which we let slide), and were mostly unhappy with the responses. Very rude, shrugged off responses usually along the lines of "well there's only 1 chef" or "we've been busy today". All 4 times we visited were at different times of the day, a couple of weekdays, 1 weekend and 1 day during half term. Most of those days we were one of only a handful of tables in there. It's just such a shame that since the cafe had its lovely refurb, they seem to operate on minimal staff at all times and can never provide even standard service, let alone good service.

The fact that I’m even offering the time to write a review is shocking. The manner of some of the staff is simply appalling which you would not talk to people in the street. Today we had a particular problem with a member call Mikolaj who was extremely rude and it’s because of him that we won’t be returning again. Along with his pathetic level of arrogance, he would not make a coffee that we ordered. I fully empathise that retail is challenging and it is a credit to the hundreds of staff that are sweating it through these challenging days. But there is never any room to take out your frustrations on customers

Totally shocking! Nobody serving at the till had to use self service. No table numbers had to pick one then order to find someone else has sat at your table by the time you have ordered. So then have to try and find someone to change your table number. Stupid and silly way to do it. Customer service was shocking too. I will not be eating here again
