We had the sunday roast beef and lamb shank. The roast dinner tasted like it had been standing around for hours....meat and roast potatoes hard with no flavour. Lamb shank oily, no mint and drowned in gravy. Maybe we chose the wrong day of the week? Also, none of the puddings we ordered were available, although shown on the computer.

Dropped in for a snack on Sunday. Waited in queue for 5 minutes before a member of staff appeared. Very few sandwiches available so we asked for an omelette and eggs with avocado. They had no avocados... although there were plenty on the shop shelves. Settled for poached egg on toast instead (no option for brown or white toast). went and sat down and were approached by an embarrassed young man...sorry, no poached eggs! Really? OK, I'll have macaroni cheese. Back he came; no macaroni either! Overheard other customers complaining: one couple had their money back (again no poached eggs) others were upset that on a Sunday there was no roast left . Wish I could say this was unusual, we have complained in the past about lack of basics like teaspoons, napkins etc. Promises of improvement but nothing happens, We agree with other reviewers about surly staff but are aware that they seem understaffed. We like the supermarket but the cafe leaves a lot to be desired

It is a decent enough place and serves the standard fare. These restaurants can be good or bad depending on the service. This one was adequate for a cuppa.

Come for breakfast here every week, have done since its opened. Food is good and the service is always with a smile, especially from Mandy who chats to everyone and has a great knowledge of the menu and the customers.

Food is ok, however!! the lady on the till was really rude. I had a coffee from the machine and it only half filled the cup, so I pressed the button again which then took the coffee slightly over the top of the cup. When I got to the till the 'lady' told me off and said sharply ' I should charge you for 2 drinks you know' I could not believe how rude she was - no apology for the fact that THEIR machine wasn't working properly. I havn't been back since. Nice revamp that I have noticed from a distance. What's that saying you can put a pig in a suit , but its still a pig!! - customer training desperately needed.

My wife and i have just had breakfast in their restaurant here at Lawley, with two lovely mugs of coffee, and as usual left well satisfied, the portion sizes were more than adequate, well prepared and presented, and for a very reasonable cost, not worth bothering to do it ourselves?not worth turning the grille on or hob, and we have never had a poor meal here, and next week we will do the same again after our shopping, why not? so convenient, well done to all.

Visited on a Sunday morning after walking the nearby Wrekin. Unfortunately the breakfast took longer to arrive than it took us to reach the summit (over 30 mins) whilst very low in price it was very low on taste and mostly Luke warm. We will visit again as the breakfast menu has many options worth trying and stand a better chance of being freshly cooked to order. The coffee was very good although you have to fetch it yourself. Give it a go but don't expect to be wowed by anything other than the price.

This restaurant is primarily somewhere to get a cheap meal after shopping in the supermarket. Due to its position outside the town's ring road it has no real competition. The food is exceptionally cheap but the quality of cooked meals is poor and inconsistent, usually undercooked and slapped on the plate in a haphazard manner. I do like that the staff bring the meal to you table. Because it is so inexpensive and convenient I have eaten breakfast there many times but was shocked when on one occasion, some time back, I had to complain about being overcharged (turns out the item had been priced wrong on the display). The lady on the till refused to correct the mistake and so I politely asked to speak to the manager. The manager was aggressive towards me and even threatened me with violence. I have recently moved out of Wellington and no longer eat there. On the basis that you get what you pay for I am not going lower than three stars as I do not expect fine dining at that price. I hope the manager has since been replaced but I don't know.

Basic yet tasty and a good choicemeals. I am not always convinced of the nutritional value of supermarket cafes but I have eat at Morrisons a few times and would say it is better than average.

Do not have the Pannini at £3.90. Short length french stick. Ultra thin ham one miniature slice that did not cover the bread and the cheese was cheese spread soaked into the bread. Utterly disappointed. Very expensive for this quality. Got a refund.

We visit this on occasion as our local supermarket restaurant, great for a weekend brunch. Today was fairly quiet at lunchtime but nice that the All day breakfast is served until 3pm. The meal was quite good, the bacon crispy on request, eggs nicely fried and fried bread swapped out for toast with no issue. However I had two issues: - as with many supermarket restaurants, why can't they offer clean cutlery?? I hunted for about the only forks there I dare put near my mouth, and only then after a good wipe. I really wish they would get that sorted, pure laziness from staff who are there for money and no more... - the tea and coffee just don't taste as good as they ought to and (coffee) weren't hot enough. As a plus, they have changed to mugs and these seemed clean and didn't smell as previous visits had. The above may read as a negative, but for about £6 per head is about normal, but the food itself was actually quite good, so overall satisfied. I'd like to see improved hygiene in general on supermarket restaurants, I'm not singling this one out over many others of various franchises with similar issues.

It used to be so nice to grab a bite to eat at Morrisons before or after shopping but something has gone wrong. Long que at checkout moving really slow lots of cups left with coffee in them by the dispenser plates left on tables with partially eaten meals. So we ordered a latte, tea, sausage and a beacon roll just a quick bite to eat. The latte was definitely the worse one I have ever had from a automatic push button dispenser the tea even when left to brew was like dish water. The sausages were over cooked and tasteless the beacon sandwich wasn't much better. Come on Morrisons what is going on I love food shopping with you but unless you get to grips with the cafe it will be the last time we visit it.

Serves a purpose - serves similar food to a regular street cafe, but generally a bit cheaper. Hot and cold food, cakes and desserts etc, breakfast is worth having and very cheap .Visited this restaurant many times, sometimes just for a cup of tea, sometimes for something to eat after shopping in the store, and only once have I had cause to complain, over a small problem anyway.Staff are cheerful if a bit too familiar sometimes - don't like being called 'duck', 'precious','lovely' or 'mate' but whoever , if anybody, trains these people obviously missed out the 'respect for your customer' module.

Having given up the chance of a good coffee and snack in either of the two larger supermarkets we were ver pleasantly surprised to find a well presented coffee shop. clean roomy and together with fine selection of good short snacks at sensible pricing structure.Eat your hearts out Tesco and Sainsbury's!!!

Decided on breakfast type meal at 12.30 pm. Sausage chips egg and beans @ £3.90.Asked for runny egg on ordering as instructed on till a long time previous. When meals arrived at table, eggs dried up, server denied we had requested runny, and we asked for replacements, these came in almost the same condition, presumably sitting on a hotplate for ages. Likewise condition of the sausages which were dark brown heavily shriveled and cold, chips were rubbery from same treatment. You can`t spoil beans. On suggesting a complaint was appropriate, received no apology, excuse of short staff staff.

A nice supermarket cafe. The staff had an issue with the tills but they were fab as let us have our drinks and snacks and pay once the till was working which it did. Clean and spacious and the staff are friendly. Nice place to go for an after work chill alternative to a glass of wine!

Nothing really special about it. Sometimes the line is quite long when waiting for food but the food is quite good and the drinks are also quite nice. There's plenty of good restaurants in Wellington, but if you really desire to go to this Morrisons café, then nothing is stopping you.

My husband and I popped in for a quick bite before doing our food shopping! First time eating in there for him and I won't get him in there again! He had gammon and it wasn't fit for a dog! Needless to say it wasn't eaten! I had the meat free breakfast which was edible but not worth the money! Will stick to shopping in future!

Calling in for breakfast was a mistake, my order was taken without looking up at me which wasn't too bad as I didn't need to queue. When the food came it looked ok ish but the tomato was raw just flashed under a grill, the fried bread was disgusting dripping with oil with an unpleasant taste and the hash brown tasted of raw potatoes and not at all plesent. The rest of the food was ok.

Situated in Wellington on the site of the old cattlemarket, the area known as smithfields is the Morrisonssuperstore which boasts one of the finest restaurantsin telford. Value for money -first class, food first class, service and staff-first class. although they do not now do the pensioners special i cannot have any complaint made about this establishment. The beer battered fish and chips, with a choice of garden or mushy peas i believe is the finest. I had these ,my wife had the beef roast dinner, two cups of latte all for £11 terrific value all meals piping hot. Meals brought to your table,Condiments on table, don,t get this very often. Only one moan most tables nd chairs are units i.e. they are attached, you cannot move the chairs away,i noticed several senior citizens having problems sitting down and on vacating. there are several loose units towards the cutlery area but they are few and far between. This is my only black point. Otherwise totally satisfied

The cafe pen Road Tesco. Is One to Avoid! Staff NEVER Smile! Rude towards OAP Age Concern group. Avoid like the plague. Although fish n chips are fabulous. Cups are not that clean. The most disappointing is the staff who are NOT friendly or smile.
