Morrisons In-store Cafe in South Gloucestershire

I HAD AN EXCELLENT ALL DAY BREAKFAST & A DOUGHNUT AFTERWARDS.i HAD TO ASK FOR BUTTER FOR MY TOAST AND MARMALADE AS IT DID NOT ARRIVE WITH MY BREAKFAST.MY DAUGHTER HAD A CHICKEN ROLL WITH SALAD AND CHIPS AND A SWEET AFERWARDS.

Got to computer to order food long drawn out process good job there wasant a queue behind me took me 7 minutes to order food when I did get my breakfast which I paid around£9.00 for mushrooms was stone cold and the rest of breakfast was luke warm no wonder I was the only one in cafe this was at 10.00 won't be visiting again

my daughter & i had a lovely snack here we also enjoyed the free donuts on offer.the staff were very friendly & the place was very clean.

Lovely cooked fish & chips! Went in at school pick up time, when it was quieter. Really tasty, well presented & good value. Very pleasant helpful cheery staff. :) 03.05.2024.

Just got back from having dinner at Morrisons yate, Had chicken roast it was cold sent back not much different when brought back to me,husband had all day breakfast even that was cold very disappointed

Yet again, business as usual for this chaotic ridiculous place, every weekend something is broken wrong or missing, chips cooked twice, really gone down hill, after ceo told us new management were to resolve. Yea we can see that!

Cafe has really gone down hill. Waited ages to be served as staff was too busy chatting out the back. Horrible, cold food and dirty cutlery. Never any teaspoons so used a table spoon to then notice something green stuck to it. Lipstick still on cups. Shame as it use to be nice

The 4th weekend running thing on show is not serving hot food. I don’t know why they don’t just close it down and save the people’s time who make the effort to travel there. Too many cafes in the area to be this lapse, emailed head office, they couldn’t care less. Won’t be returning

I made the trip to Morrisons cafe this morning from Cheltenham to meet some friends for breakfast, we walked up to the machine to order and found a sign saying that the kitchen was not serving any hot food, there was no prior warning and we were not aware until we walked through the store into the cafe, there was also a brass band present - they were terribly out of tune and this added to my annoyance, i would rather have listened to my neighbours cats fighting, an extremely disappointing trip and the toilets smelt like there was dead animal in there, I will not be returning !

Once again we enjoyed a great breakfast here.PHIL was a great help & while we were there i niticed how helpfull he was to the customers including ourselves.I notified the md of morrisons & he said he would congratulate phil on his outstanding work for the company.

Yum! Amazing breakfast. Much improved - the presentation is fantastic. Food was delicious and great portion sizes. ‘Ask for Ellen’ at till for free crumpets, butter and jam. Only reason it’s 4 stars is because the tables and floor were slightly dirty with food, and having only been 10:30am, this should have been kept on top of.

Another great breakfast here again.The service was excellent & the food came out really quick.At 2 for £10 its excellent value for your money.

We had an excellent breakfast here .two for £10.which included tea & coffee.WE WILL GO AGAIN.tHE MAN WHO SERVED US ON THE 30TH MAY AROUND 10.15AM could,nt have been more helpfull & needs praise.thank you morrisons for a great meal.

Took my Grandson swimming and afterwards he was hungry and wanted 'Chips and Beans", so we decided to try Morrisons rather than the Cafe's in Yate shopping Centre. My first problem was the automated ordering system which didn't accept cash. We were just about to leave when I asked a lady if they accepted cash and she said they did, but at a different till. So I ordered a n all day English breakfast and got a kids meal for free. The full English was a reasonable attempt. Two well cooked sausages ( rather tasty), two hash browns crisp and dry, a fried egg with a nice runny yolk, some mushrooms, a small half of Tomato, a pot of Baked beans, and a jumble of Bacon which i think might have been two rashers, but it was hard to tell. There was a round of Toast in a small metal bucket and two pats of soft butter which I think ws placed on the table by my server. We were offered sachets of sauce, I chose brown and my Grandson went for Ketchup. His kids meal (chicken nuggets, chips and beans) was ideal for a small person.It also came with a piece of fruit (nice touch) and a choice (limited) of a drink. I had a pot of tea with mine which meant taking a metal teapot and filling it up with water, collecting a mug, milk and sugar. However, when i tried to get cutlery the only two tea spoons available were dirty and stained. The knives (i went through 5 before I found a clean one) were dirty. The forks weren't clean and in the end i resorted to putting them under the boiling water and wiping them with a serviette. I also had to go and ask the staff to wipe down our table as it was covered in bits of old food and stains. The food was reasonable and at that price (about £6) with kids meal free was really good value. The staff were very nice, very friendly and helpful.They couldn't have been more helpful . But, boy did the cleanliness let you down Morrisons. There is no excuse for that!

I visited Morrisons in Yate with my 3 friends as we were renting a cottage nearby for a weekend, I was SO looking forward a Full English Breakfast treat, having not had a full English for about 6 months I couldn't wait. Well I must say it WAS THE WORST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE !! Everything was deep fried and saturated in oil, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding and fried bread all oozing with fat, it was disgusting and inedible. The café was packed and 2 staff rushed off their feet. ordinarily i would have complained but as it was so busy and I was with friends I hadn't seen for ages it was awkward.

Went there to eat. Stood by the till for 10 minutes waiting to be served. No one was there. Called out twice to the kitchen where I heard people talking, was still ignored. We were then ignored 3 times by a woman coming out the kitchen to give people their meals, who then proceeded to have an in depth conversation with a customer. Rude and ignorant staff. We ended up going somewhere else. It was very grubby in there too. Obviously the staff are too busy gossiping to bother with nuisance customers or cleaning.

Came to have a hot drink and a breakfast with my son, older lady serving was so rude. We walked out complained to the manager who said he knew who we were talking about and that it didn’t surprise him. Definitely sticking to the fishponds branch

The food is phenonminal value for money and tasts fantastic. Also the staff were lovely would give six stars if i could

Used to love coming into the cafe for a cheeky breakfast brunch, but last couple of times standards have dropped, last 2 times beans were cold. Todays visit beans were piping hot , but the bacon was hard as old leather and noticed a drop in the quanity of chips and the grilled tomatoe was missing, at the moment the saving grace is the refillable coffee which is nice and strong just how i like it. I think one more try then it will be time to look elsewhere.

My wife and I do our weekly shop at this store and take lunch in the cafe as well so we have extensive experience of the cafe over a long period. The area is reasonably pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately service is very slow and on occasion we have had to wait up to an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. Food is often not served in the order purchased, i.e. people served later can often get their food first. We eat early afternoon and at this time food is only luke warm at best, seldom hot. Our order is very often incorrect. We have only used the order machine once as it does not have the ability to create the options that we go for so we prefer to order at the till with a staff member. We often wonder why we continue to take lunch here but it is convenient for us.

Stopped in for a quiet coffee and a piece of cake, pleasant surroundings and nice coffee and cake not much wrong with that..

the fish & chips were very greasy & not enjoyable at all .The staff were very friendly.The area is nicely set out.

A great breakfast can be had here. We have been more than once and notice that early morning the food comes out hot & delicious. Later in the day, it can be cool/cold, especially if it's busy so do check. Morrisons have a new booking system which takes a bit of getting used.

I asked for no fried bread & got some instead of extra mushrooms & there was no butter with my toast.apart from that it was a good breakfast but the black pudding was hard.

it was an average breakfast okay if you like a breakfast that is not all warm.okay if you are in a hurry.

The food is always good, and while portions are not so big, it does off value for money. The ordering and paying system is bizzar, and I have had occasion when staff have found it odd that I don't know their odd system as well as they do. They work there don't they? Since the café has been revamped, there seems to be more seating available, and the coffee bar is good, if not often manned.

Average place really - fine for an in-store sit down after a shop. Plenty of room usually. Table service of your meal is fine.
