This is a customer-friendly supermarket which has the feel good factor. A bright and airy restaurant, food and clothes hall. Has a seasonal outdoor greenhouse selling interesting plants. Well done Morrisons of Catcliffe!

Only called in for coffee. It took 35 mins to prepare. Tables full of dirty pots . Would have ordered food but it was obvious that other people were not happy with their food and the waiting time. Felt sorry for the staff because they couldn’t cope. Nobody obviously in charge . Total lack of organisation.

Well what can I say, had the ramsden sausage, chips and mushy peas, food was barely warm and mushy were definitely not mushy, grandaughter had a cheese sandwich that left a lot to be desired. I personally would not eat there again for a main meal. Twice I have tried a dinner and both been dissapointed. Only meal I have been happy with there is breakfast but let's face it, you cannot go wrong with cooking a breakfast

Coffee lovely & service brilliant. However, tables filthy, used a wet wipe to get rid of the stickiness & it was so dirty. All furniture shabby & dirty. Used the toilets which were just awful. Two out of order, no toilet roll in the one working. Checked the cleaning timetable on the back of the door & they hadn't been checked for five hours. Not good enough Morrisons. Employ more staff your current ones are under so much pressure.

Ok so 3 star for standard of the food, i Ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, lady returned and was very polite and said no ham, which is fine, she offered other substitutes so had the cheese and tomato instead, was lovely, partner had full English he enjoyed that, child had mash and sausages, he ate the mash but not the sausages, advised the staff member before placing child's order of his pea allergy as this meal came with peas, asked to leave the peas out, my child had already consumed most of his mash before pointing out in shock to me one little shriveled up pea on his plate!... I was shocked and was about to play hell up! Yes it's just one pea but my child is highly allergic to peas, nuts and eggs, and if he had consumed this pea he could of had anaphylaxis shock as he has in the past with peas, But thank God my child didn't have an allergic reaction! After discussing it with my partner if we should complain or not, we thought because he had already ate most of his mash and was then full they would just state to us "well he's already ate most of it and he's fine" and also I know in the terms they can't always guarantee cross contamination etc etc so thought wasn't worth the hassle, we didn't want any free be or money back or vouchers etc, hense why we didn't complain either, but on sleeping on it and thinking more about it, we should of said something just so that they are more careful as this could happen to some one else.

Visited today (a Saturday) for a takeaway breakfast and shocked at how rude the lady at the door was. I understand the need to advise people to adhere to covid rules but there is absolutely no need to shout to or speak to customers like children, which is what she is doing. Serious customer service training needed urgently. Can see a lot of other customers feel the same. Disappointed before I haven’t even received my food. Won’t visit again.

I had seen the christmas menu advertised from £5.75 for just a turkey meal or two or three courses, prices vary depending on what you have, a starter with a main or main with a dessert or all three. Anyway we went around 1pm, the cafe was fairly busy, so waited in a short queue, eventually got to the till and I ordered two christmas dinners, the lady on the the till asked if I wanted cranberry sauce so I replied yes and she said was there anything else, so said yes we would like christmas pudding as well, so she replied oh you want the christmas meal, so had to start the order again (it seemed a bit of an inconvenience to do this, she explained she had to put each item in separate!) A turkey meal with cranberry for two and christmas pudding for two, one with cream and one with brandy sauce, we were charged £21.20 for two meals, two puddings, a small bottle of orange juice and standard bottle of still water. Found a table, moved dirty plates, put the number up, anyway the THREE christmas meals arrived quickly, we pointed out that we only ordered two, he took the extra meal away, gave him the receipt, he took this to the till and gave us £5.75 cash, no receipt back or offered to refund back onto the card. Just realised writing this review there was no cranberry sauce. The meal was hot but the turkey was two slices of flat processed meat but okay, a small serving of carrots and sprouts, one stuffing ball and a yorkshire pudding, also lots of gravy. After finishing the main meal, put the second number up for pudding and waited a good ten minutes, the pudding was a good sized portion and the brandy sauce was hot but not too hot to eat. A good value meal.

Called in for a light lunch and noticed mashed avocado on toast with a poached egg. Sounded nice so ordered it. When it came (as you can see from the photo) it was poached egg on toast with a side bowl of avocado- I asked the server why it was not mashed as in the photo he didn’t know. Then I realised it was unripe and too hard to eat let alone mash. He said there was nothing he would do. I left it and had lunch at home. So disappointed. Come on Morrison’s. Great location. Called in for a business lunch only to be greeted by rude, obnoxious and scruffy looking staff. Picked up 5 different cups to find each one had tide marks around the inside them all. They blamed it on the dishwasher not working properly???The knives & forks were also dirty. As were the tables and chairs which were covered in food remnants from previous customers. Combined with the terrible smell I felt physically sick and was quickly begining to regret ordering the food. When it did eventually arive it was barely luke warm. After noticing items were missing from the plate I called out to the 'sloth-like' waitress who happened to be slauntering past dragging her feet whislt wiping her nose on her sleeve, who totally ignored me. As i called out a 2nd time she shouted "I heard you the 1st time". This has to be the worst cafe in the whole of South Yorkshire and needs to be reported to Enviromental Health. Absolutely disgusted

My steak pie was brimful of meat with a thick, tasty gravy filling. It came with garden peas and choice of potatoes. I went for chips which were fresh and plentiful. There was an accompanying small jug of gravy ( I love gravy on chips - which I call wet chips). My wife’s regular haddock and chips was so huge that we had to check that she hadn’t ordered an extra large portion by mistake. The fish was good fresh quality in a nicely crisp batter and came with a choice of garden or mushy peas. There was a notice asking customers to note they had new, improved coffee and it was a very reasonable drink when we tried it. Seriously good value for money here.

Had Fish and chips at Morrisons, Teignmouth. Wishing I hadn't. After eating this soft very 'wet' "fish" I felt quite sick. Had to go in the store and buy some Andrews salts. I asked the assistant in the restaurant to tell me what type of fish it was. He told me cod...I don't think so! This fish had no flavour and was quite mushy. It's obviously not cod otherwise the menu would say so....wouldn't it?Surely the type of fish being served should be clearly displayed for customers who must have a right to be aware of the food being offered.

We came upon this extremely large Morrisons whilst away for the weekend and decided to have some lunch in the cafe. As with all of these cafes there is a strange order system as the till at the front is never staffed; we stood for several minutes watching staff in the kitchen who had seen us but made no effort to assist. A lady then appeared at the till at the end of the counter so we walked down whilst she walked off shouting loudly about how staff never do anything and she is always left to fill things up- never good to hear staff moaning like this never mind shouting loudly! We ordered our food which arrived in good time, was hot, tasty and presented much better than other M cafes we have eaten in. A large cafe which was quiet in comparison with the store (£1000s worth of flowers were going out the door as it was eve of Mothering Sunday!), and quite clean. A variety of tasty food at good prices. Large car park, toilets, petrol station and all the other departments Morrisons does so well.

We shop at Morrisons in Whitefield, Manchester, every week and have lunch in their cafe. I used to have the fish and chips, which was really good but then the fish seemed to change so I started to have bacon, egg, beans and toast. The beans are always lukewarm, the bacon half-cooked and the toast like warm bread. Most times it doesn't look as though it's been near a toaster! So, I went back to the fish and chips. MISTAKE!! The batter is flat, the fish is a very strong flavour and this week the batter wasn't even cooked. It was white and wet when I peeled it from the fish. Nowhere can I find where they say what type of fish it is. So that's ended the fish and chips again for me. Another point that spoils this cafe, which is very clean-looking, is the constant messages on the tannoy. Twenty two times one week in under an hour, and so loud over the cafe you just can't hear each other speak. Surely this can't be necessary. I count the times each week and it gets ridiculous. The only good thing is that the cafe's better than the one where I live.

On our visit on 6 October there were flies crawling on the uncovered cakes on the display counter. We ordered Hunters Chicken @ £5 each and then sorted through the cutlery drawer in a vain attempt to find a clean knife and fork each - we had to pour some tea onto a paper towel and clean some! We also had to wipe the table as it was smeared with food. Our teapots had parts of the lids missing and were not very clean. When our Hunters chickens arrived they were luke warm and when we turned them over they were covered with lumps of black ash on the underside which we had to scrape off! The staff here seemed to be working very hard but never seemed to catch up - perhaps they require more. Urgent action is required. We definitely would not recommend Morrisons Cafe. We think it is dirty and the food was poor quality and expensive.

Break adequate although somewhat burnt toast. Biggest challenge was the supervisor, a middle aged lady who blond hair, absolutely reeked of cigarettes smoke and when visiting the table to clean up or check in, really put you off eating as he smells lingered in the air for ages. Young lass working there wearing shorts and face mask was by far the hardest working colleague. Supervisor by comparison was meandering around.

Went for Friday as its fish and chip day. As sign outside, showed it was their special for the day. The chips and Mushy peas were average, hard to get wrong really. However the fish not so good. The batter was crispy on outside then wet and slimy inside, looked horrible. It also contained the thinnest piece of fish. It cost £10.30 clearly not worth it. However the service and drinks were good. But as we mainly went for food 2* rating for me. Should have been a sign when only a handful of people were in pub.
