Morrison's Cafe Bramley Rotherham in Rotherham

Not great customer service arrived there at lunch time and was not busy at all about 12 people sat down at tables.A staff popped her head round from the kitchen saw us waiting to be served ignored us and went back into the kitchen.When we asked to be served the same member of staff told us there was a 30 minute wait for food .We’d already got our drinks from the self service dispenser so had to stay and pay for them !!We were later told by another member of staff that there was no waiting times on there screen for food obviously the serving member of staff just could not be bothered!!!Very poor customer service and staff member needs sacking in my opinion!!

I regularly bring my elderly, wheelchair-user Mum to Morrisons Bramley for toasted teacakes and a cup of tea. We've got to know the staff really quite well and they always make an extra effort to come say 'hello' to my Mum and make sure that everything is OK for her. And, whilst it seems a bit odd to say about a cafe that's located inside a supermarket, wherever they get their teacakes from, bravo... they are always absolutely packed with 'fruity bits' and taste fantastic...! We've gone to other Morrisons cafes in our local area, but the staff at Rotherham are absolutely the best. :-)

On the T.V. saw the advert for 2 breakfasts and 2 hot drinks for £10 this was on the Saturday went on the Monday to be told the offer had finished. WHAT A CON left disgusted.

Ordered two big breakfasts as they were on offer two for £10 however when delivered the mushrooms were cold and the remainder just luke warm. Sadly this is not the first time we have experienced poor breakfasts we have been customers at the cafe for many years and have noted a decline in standards and quality.

Had a bacon sandwhich plenty of bacon but it came on dry toast why? did ask for brown bread but did not want it toasted.

We’ve just had breakfast here. Sausages and bacon overcooked. Sausages burnt at ends and bacon dry like cardboard. Scrambled eggs and toast anaemic. Salad Tomato uncooked. Hash brown tasteless. Only ok items were beans and mushroom. Won’t be back.

Been in for our lunch today and the amount of people complaining about the wait time was ridiculous, at least 3 people had told me they had been waiting nearly an hour for food. Some of these people had children with them! There was one poor manager on the tills trying to sort everyone out and serve, she looked so stressed and didn’t know which way to turn, she had to call and ask people to help clear tables and also take food out. When one tables food came out they asked for it to be boxed up as they had to leave they had waited that long.The amount of food that was sat on tables because people had got up and left after having a refund was ridiculous as there’s families out there that can’t afford it and it goes to waste. I worry about the staff that work in here of late the amount of stress they are being put under. Come on Morrisons get more staff in to help out otherwise you will lose more staff due to work stress related issues. We waited 40 minutes for our meal and the lady apologised for the wait, she shouldn’t have to do this

Look I never want to complain but the store is shocking, below average would be a good comment but the store is bad and the manager is extremely rude so I get where his staff get it from, never ever have I met a man like him

Hopeless. Visited for cooked breakfast. One member of staff on to cook and take money. Asked if someone was off sick. Answer, no, this is how management planned it. Drinks machine not working, but the poor lady did some work on it and eventually it produced acceptable coffee, hence two stars instead of one. An utter shambles. The place was also freezing cold. They should close this place and hire competent management. Full respect for the only member of staff working.

Had it not been for the 2 members of staff front of house on duty this would get a 1 star review. They were run off their feet trying to clear tables ( which was an impossible task as they so busy) serve on the till and bring food out. We ordered our food and was told there would be a wait which was fine but after sitting for a while I felt sorry for them as people were complaining that they had been waiting ages for food (one person even walked out as he didn’t get his meal and he said he’d been waiting 45 minutes, this could have been an exaggeration on his part I don’t know as he was seated already when we got there), others were complaining about no cups, cutlery and the drinks machines weren’t working. It definitely needed more staff. The two ladies who were on deserve some recognition for their hard work today (one was called sue or Susan and the other was a lady called Sandra I think. The food (we ordered 2 breakfasts) was average the beans were dry, bacon dry and burnt in places and the egg looked like it was thrown on quick. There was no teaspoons or napkins but I didn’t have the heart to complain to them as they were getting it from every angle. The coffee machines are rubbish as it always comes out lukewarm.

The idea of queuing up at a single touch screen to order isn't great. It's a bottleneck. We didn't have any order numbers available and it requires you enter one - we just had to guess... No direction by the staff at all. All the food that sounded nice wasn't available. I ended up going for a pulled pork wrap. I sat waiting for it to arrive and asked where it was when my wife was served. The staff member showed me that the pulled pork wrap isn't a hot item, it's one of those pre-packed wraps in their fridge. The entire experience was poor. There was little to no direction - customers are just expected to know and understand the disjointed way they operate. We're not inclined to return.

Was out shopping with family, I was told at the till that they couldn’t say to the cooks how I wanted my food and it took over 40 minutes for a bacon and egg sandwich to come not happy won’t be back again

The food was good,we ordered one fish and chips and two portions of scampi, it was good food.we found ordering quite confusing as you ordered on a screen and went to get our cup of teas at a different till which was at the other side of the room. however staff were great i was given a free muffin as they were going out of date that day and was almost closing time.

As title says if you like burnt inedible foor then this is the place foor you. You have been warned at your own rism

Every table dirty apart from 4 and there’s only 3 tables with people on and all I’ve seen the staff do is talk food good tho

We decided to have lunch here as it was convenient in terms of our overall journey. That's probably where the advantages stopped. There is a very strange system whereby you order food at one end of the counter and are given a green token which is then changed to a red token when you pay at the other end. The red token then goes into a teapot shaped holder on your table of choice and after a while, food is brought to you. On this occasion, there were no clean knives available so I had to ask for some and the area for cutlery itself was a bit grubby. Staff are friendly enough but either don't have time to clear tables promptly or have perhaps stopped seeing how cluttered the place looks. We ordered poached eggs on toast (I'd asked for dry toast and it came buttered) and eggs benedict which looked as if they'd been under the grill a tad too long - congealed sauce and over crispy bacon. The tea (again a rather strange system for ordering) was pretty poor quality and remained thin even having left it a good while in the pot to brew. We paid nearly £10 and wished we'd gone for a supermarket meal deal instead. Wouldn't go back in a hurry and wouldn't recommend to others.

I wish my local Morrisons was as good as this one! Nicely cooked and well presented breakfast by happy and cheerful staff, it was a very pleasant experience. Love this bakery worth a visit for their lovely soft bread and breadcakes. Brilliant gift ideas, including ones for anyone slimming at reasonable prices. Not the biggest store or widest range of products available but has other positives for me. Lovely enthusiast and pleasant staff who really enjoy their work and it shows. A very pleasant shopping experience

Always have a breakfast when I visit, same with today but then I tried some of my mums gammon which was lovely. Its a supermarket after all and the standards are as you'd expect. Karen who took our order was really lovely. The pudding was nice, give it a whirl!

The food was not hot enough and less food than so others offer it’s shocking , I would t service it up specially like the pic I have put up , it needs some basic training for all staff

Appalling fish and chips, greasy and tasteless! Wouldn't recommend at all. Not worth the long wait either.

Dropped in for lunch as we'd been to Parkgate Morrisons on a previous occasion and had been pleasantly surprised at how good it was. This branch was on a par more or less. Staff member came to take our order swiftly. Lady on till helpful in telling us how to go about getting our drinks. Plenty of clean tables to chose from. Meal arrived by a happy chappy quickly so my cup of tea was still hot to drink with it :)On a downside. Staff looked quite harassed although they still gave great service, maybe not enough staff? I wasn't happy that the cutlery that you help yourself to, is standing in their containers handle side down, which meant every diners hands were all over the knives and forks as they grabbed what they needed. Very unhygienic ! Plus the top of the long dividing wall between the row of tables was thick with dust, this I realised when I leaned my elbow on it and got mucky. But that aside, meal was good and value for money.

I am a regular visitor, just for a quick coffee. But last week wanted a meal. I looked on as the totally inept staff gave out not only the wrong meals to the wrong tables but the wrong meals that was not ordered. I ordered sausage egg and chips. (Simple order you would think). I was pleasantly surprised when a pot of tea turned up. The staff have not got a clue.

Called in for a light lunch today - busy as school holidays. Play area in the corner which was well used and the tables nearby were noisy with excited children. Many other tables needed a wipe down but the plates had already been cleared away. Food well prepared of a usual cafe style. Staff polite. Food arrived speedily. No tea pots available and so could just have a mug and a tea bag for the same price. NOT acceptable. Bought soft drinks instead which cost us more with no apology or remedy. An off hand comment of “this always happens”. Manager need to be informed re having more stock or speedily washing as priority when staff notice they are running low. Customer service needs to be improved.

Had xmas dinner with a prawn starter which did not have many prawns but the dinner was nice and had large portions the coffee was surprisingly nice too.

Some of the reviewers on here need to get out a bit. Dried potato mash ? It's a supermarket cafe ffs. Ingredients cooked from frozen ? Well, yes. If you want something better, try a restaurant.

Terrible food and service a laugh, but I don’t blame the staff, that’s the problem there are none, it’s a management issue, as far as I can see, they run round like blue house flys went to the pub across the road a week later it was quicker, and staff were not stressed, take note mr (Morrison’s) manager.

oh what a treat, a great fish and chips plus drink 6 pounds, unbelievable, smashing meal and child's meal free too. Called in hoping and came out well full.

Llamé en la cafetería parkgate hambriento después de las pruebas de sangre en ayunas. Pedí la tortilla, champiñones, judías y tomate y un café negro. Creo que este era de alrededor de 3 libras. 95 en total. Llenó mi café de la máquina y sentado. Mi desayuno llegó con bastante rapidez. Dos tortillas dobladas (congelado? Frijoles, huevos duros/) lata setas y media de tomate adornado mi plato. Al excavar en las tortillas me pareció frío y el resto de la comida mediocre. La placa estaba caliente. Me llevé la comida a la señora se disculpó y el hasta dijo que era fresco. Volví a mi asiento y esperé alrededor de otro 8 minutos para el segundo intento. En el interín me señaló que la mesa delante de mí no su orden y tuvimos que esperar hasta la camarera trajo a su black pudding minutos más tarde. Mi experiencia fue buena con comida monótona. ¿Cómo puede conseguir un desayuno sencillo equivocada? La cafetería no estaba lleno, así que no hay excusas. Normalmente tengo grub razonable en Morrison tenía, pero no en esta visita.

standard Morrison cafe , clean , cheap and good food. A quick and easy place to feed the kids. ok if passing but dont make the effort. Would visit again...

Ni idea de por qué el hasta en el café parece ser 10 veces más lento que la prórroga de la tienda. Añadir a que una máquina de café de la orden y el otro jugando. Llamando a miembros del personal a y jugueteaba, después pasamos sin asegurar que era plenamente funcional. La próxima vez que vaya al lado de McDonald's!

Inicialmente fuimos a otro patatas de mesa. Fuimos y les dieron desde la mesa que fuimos a y servido a mí. Suponía que iba a ser una gran porción puesto que no parece generoso, así que no sé si la otra mesa había probado? Las patatas fritas eran frías, así envió. Las fichas de la misma llegamos con mi medio comer allí, pero aún caliente, claramente sólo superficial. Mal servicio y calidad

Comida caliente, pero no básicas de la mejor calidad.

Muy decepcionante tanto máquinas de café fuera de servicio (otra vez) se cargará el precio completo de confirmación de diy de café. Muchas mesas sucias

Morrison's is a cheap alternative if you are peckish when you go shopping, I would not go there just to eat as the meals are very basic and the menu caters for sausage n chip lovers as well as salad lovers, nothing extravagant but hey, what do you want?

Called for breakfast first time ever and it was lovely. Would certainly go back pleasant staff and very good value. Good on you Morrisons

If you want a quick meal at a bargain price and not to fussed about the surroundings this is a good value place to uhvisit.A bit lacking in presentation but good basic menus with ample portion sizes and very cheap.☺

Following our previous meal there we found the unit had been revamped (as part of further alterations to the layout in the supermarket). New furniture has been installed and other changes have been applied - overall the environment has been improved but the quality of meals remains as before.

I was surprised at the number of dirty cups, at least 12, that were in the rack for customers to use to purchase drinks. There was also at least one badly cracked teapot. The manager was called to witness these mugs which were set aside and the young lad on the till said that this was because the dish washer wasn't cleaning them properly.The manager said that it would be looked into but still left the dirty mugs on the counter for anyone else to use instead of removing them to the kitchen. If this happens next time I shall NOT be using the restaurant again.

Really disappointed as was looking for to a Saturday morning treat, a full English. However, when it arrived it was a big let down...it was practically cold and served on a cold plate. Presentation was poor aswell, the food just piled on top of one another like it had been dropped from a great height. To summise ; COLD FOOD, POORLY PRESENTED, COLD PLATE.

Morrisions is good for sandwiches lot of choice in fridges nice selection of cakes buns etc only thing to watch is the mugs and cuterly can be dirty not all but pick it out apart from that l am happy to eat there friendly staff rushed off there feet as with any catering never seems enough staff at busy times l have worked in catering myself so l know how hard it is

Sausage chips egg and beans that about all I eat when I go in here , it's a place I go when me and Mrs are hanging lol food ok nothing special un-like our lass now she is special , there alway some drama at the till , think some of the staff are special too.

Provides a reasonable range of meals - average quality. Handy if you have called in to do some shopping (or need a stop-off point from the M18 !).

Dirty cutlery , terrible food and noticed a un hygenic member of staff licking her fingers as she was sorting cakes/buns .Never again

My family and I eat here quite regularly. It's cheap and cheerful and never too long to wait. Caters for everyone and all ages. Baby bottle warming/microwave for food facilities plus they generally offer free disposable bibs too. The new look morrisons at parkgate is much nicer than the slightly run down one at bramley but non the less they all offer the same decent food at a good value price. For families children eat free everyday after 3pm when adults spend £3.99 or more on their main meal which is a very attractive offer. Plenty of high chairs too.

I visited here a few times over the last few weeks I have visited family in Yorkshire. Overall it is average at best, one time they had none of the 4 dishes we asked for, another time we (2 adults and 2 kids) ordered food at 2.50 and the lady at the counter said your kids eat free after 3 but I'll Need to charge you as its only 10 to. Fair enough, but not when none of us actually got our food until 3.15! I was going to complain but what's the point.On all occasions I have visited there are always empty tables with dirty used plates and cutlery that if it is busy you have to clear away yourself.Food is average, I had gammon, egg and chips. Gammon was over salty and chips were luke warm, kids had spaghetti bolognese that had obviously been microwaved as it was super boiling hot, too hot to give a small child, in fact my little one even burnt his fingers by just touching the bowl as it was so hot. My partner had pie which was watery and their mash was luke warm. I think maybe it's better to just have a coffee or tea and a sandwich or cake from here, they can't muck that up much! I wouldn't recommend for meals, you would be better walking or driving directly across the road and go to the Sir Jack pub and restaurant where they serve 2 GOOD meals for £5, it's much cleaner, the service is better and the food is 100% better and is literally a 1 min walk away.

Visited last week with family . There is still an issue with staff not clearing tables fast enough and many had abandoned crockery etc . Food was hot and arrived quickly and given the cost represents great value

Whilst staying at the ibis across from Morrisons we tended to go there for brunch. Always got a very friendly Yorkshire welcome from the staff, good selection of food on the menu and always good quality BUT could have been hotter and took a long time to get to you. Would definitely return, keep up the good work thanks.

Good food friendly staff. Their fish and chips and the sausage egg chips and beans are my favourites. I've never been disappointed with a meal.

Lots to choose from and at a good price too staff efficient and food didn't take long to come out at all nice to see mushrooms on the breakfast was fresh ones and not tinned crap will Defo be returning

I go to this restaraunt at least once a week with my mum for a cooked meal. The fish and chips are a favourite. The fish is always beautifully cooked. The batter is always perfectly cooked. My favourite is the sausage egg chips and beans. I have a large appetite and the portions are perfect. You are not left hungry. My only comment would be that the salads that goes with the jacket potato and the jacket potato itself are poor. Everything else is great. The staff in the Bradley restaraunt are friendly and helpful

well its worth a visit,meal was cooked well,portion size filled the plate,fish cooked white throughout,lovely flavour,veg and potatoes nicely tasted,well seasoned,no complaints,service was a bit slow but very busy and very affordable

Took a family member out shopping and she wanted a bite to eat whilst we shopping so tried to have something to eat here. Although My Family Member Had Her Me A I Refused To Eat Mine and pay as two attempts they could not produce a meal that was edible

Visited today . Obviously didn't have enough staff on study as most tables were uncleared . It took 15 minutes for clean cups to arrive at the coffee station as they had all been used ! The order we placed was incorrect and the scrambled eggs were inedible . The supervisor was trying her best but obviously hadn't been given enough resources to manage any kind of service . Note at the the end of our meal most of the tables remained unclear . Given the amount of food being delivered to the tables just getting the food deliverers to take back used crockery would have been a start !

Visited this cafe on Friday 12 December late afternoon, and ordered Fish and Chips. My friend ordered sausage, egg and chips. We were served by a lady called Lyn, who was one of the most helpful and cheerful people I have met for a long time. She seemed very happy in her job and was singing along with the Christmas songs that were played in store, which made everyone smile, as she had a nice voice. My fish and chips arrived, and it was one of the nicest pieces of fish I have had for a long time, lovely and white and the batter crispy and not soggy. The price was very reasonable. Would definitely use the cafe again when in that part of the country.

Went for Christmas dinner because some one said it was good, if you got a Christmas dinner over cooked it by miles put it on a plate covered it in cling film, then three days later micro waved it and served it that is Morrisons Christmas dinner, insipid and awful. And the pudding was micro waved plastic, never again.

I will never go to this cafe againThe mash potato is packet mash the sausages were not cooked all the food was dry like it had been reheated 20 times Staff were really moody and unhelpful
