Bought some bits and bobs from the supermarket many scanners having problems took 20-25 minutes for 1 person in front of me and me pay for our bits I only had 10 items then went to have a Danish cake and mocha it was about 2.45-3.00pm no nice cakes as a treat!!! Walking over so much rubbish in the restaurant on the floor it was unreal! Had a sandwich and mocha and when I got to drink after my sandwich had a drink and it was just a coffee I mentioned to one of the ladies and she said oh that's not working properly then another lady brought me some hot chocolate for my coffee which I said the coffee was now just warm! And asked for the manager who came over shortly after I explained my dreadful experience in his store from when I entered to leaving he was mildly understanding! He was going to refund my refreshments but I said no need id rather have a pleasant experience! I went to leave and forgot a couple of items went to pay and hay presto the scanners playing up again! The gremlins in ROSS on WYE were all in Morrison today!

Due to incompetence of staff and machinery and the inability of head office to process a refund, it cost us £27 for 2 small meals. Check your receipts and if the self pay says it can't issue a receipt don't use it. Mirrisons head office wanted us to do a 200 mile round trip to sort the problem which shouldn't have happened anyway . Absolutely ridiculous.

For the fourth time, having checked that roast beef and roast chicken were on the menu, I finally got to the end of the queue to be told neither were available. Complained to a member of staff who told me it wasn't her problem, complained to the manager who told me the same, and that he was of too low a grade to do anything about it. Some customer service!

Weren’t sure what to expect as previous reviews weren’t very good, but we were pleasantly surprised. Not too long a wait and all very tasty and hot. Particularly good hash browns and the toast was yummy. Eggs were well cooked but not overdone and bacon was the same. Would be happy to go back while we are in the area.

Visited today with friends. Machine wasn’t working for hot chocolate but the lady on the till offered to make me one in the kitchen. Very helpful. Hot choc was decent as was the flapjack. Decent price and nice serving staff.

After buying Zucchini and other sundry goods we settled at our table. The lukewarm coffee was a disappointment. The Afternoon Tea wasn't advised until we got to our table, too late to change the order though the scone, cream and jam tasted lovely. My burger on special offer with hot drink tasted fine enough, that, with coleslaw and chips went down well, though each separate taste felt like cooking to tick the box. The meat patty was well cooked, the hint of salad encouraging to make a cost effective lunch at £5.00. Our 20 minute wait did disappoint, and the staff aimed to keep on top of things I'm sure. Coffee machine required water and milk to be hot, it didn't seem to be. But a good chance to relax, drink, eat and prepare for journey home.

Popped into Morrisons Cafe the other day as I fancied a breakfast before i did my shop. The staff were friendly and i didn’t have to wait long for it either. First impressions were ok…..Sausages were cooked fine, fried eggs still had runny yokes, beans were lovely and hot and the mushroom was ok too. However, the Bacon was vile. No fat, no flavour and I’m sure if I gave it CPR, it would have come back to life it was that undercooked. I’d visit again I’m sure as it was only the bacon that let things down

I drove to Ross on wye morrisons to use cafe and do my weekly shop. I was told they are not serving food as the dishwasher had been put on and they have staff that are going home. So I went to wetherspoons instead and did my food shopping at Aldi. I was a regular at the cafe but I will not be using them again. Cafe that does not serve food at lunch time. What a joke.

I recently went with my son and mother for breakfast and was disappointed at how the level of service and quality of the breakfasts had slipped. We stood waiting to pay at the counter for quite some time and when I and another customer queried with a member of staff if we could get someone to take our orders and money were verbally abused. The breakfast my son received was poor, the bacon looked like had been incinerated and the scrambled eggs were rubbery. We did contact the manager to complain about our treatment but as of yet have not received a satisfactory apology.

How long does it take for 1 order if Fish & Chips. Well I can tell you the answer. From card transaction to table it took 55 minutes Seemed to be normal number of staff as I do be here frequently It was busy today. Obviously the half term effect. I’ll avoid this until Schools are back are back next week.

Breakfast has really gone down hill..everything was dry over cooked one flat mushroom still had thick skin on and was done in microwave vile...felt like everything was cooked way in advance and kept warm for far to long waste of money won't be returning

Called in for a Pitstop on way through from East Sussex to Hay-on-Wye. Had a table booked in Hay for evening meal so didn't want to much so when I for me asked for a sausage roll and a coffee was gobsmacked when told only breakfast orders up to a stupid time I think we were there 2 ish? So unless you only want a breakfast of some sort don't bother. 🤬👎😷💂‍♂️

Called in for a Pitstop on the way to Hay - on - Wye from East Sussex. Had a table booked for Dinner in Hay so only wanted a snack and was gobsmacked when told that at 1-30 / 2pm ish I couldn't have a sausage roll and a coffee only something from the Breakfast Menu? If you want something other then a Breakfast meal don't bother.

Politely ask for fresh milk for my tea as I have allergic reaction to uht. She argued telling me it was fresh milk..even when it stated plainly uht on little carton. Then we where told to sit down in our seats as we tryed to move to larger table as we had text off family out of the.blue to say they would join us . We had to leave as this.point due to her uncomfortable manner and won't.be returning.

Had breakfast on Saturday and was very poor bacon was rock hard hash brown rock hard over cooked sausage dry...when I was looking at menus I could see someone putting two full breakfasts in microwave to re heat them up that might explain the poor quality of the food warm ups... wont be back I exspect better than that even for a breakfast and they have taken away the choice of fried bread for health reasons isn't it our choice if we have it or not... bring it back give us the choice to choose

Very good value for money. Serve yourself coffee a very good system, coffee always hot. We didn't have breakfast but they did look very appetising. Fish and chips, sausage and mash, 2 coffees just over £11. Great value

Have had to give this meal average due to service and presentation of food. Husband and I both ordered lamb shank with mash and peas. The wait not to bad but the young lad serving was wandering around looking for table orders and just walking...

The choices are good whether for a snack or full lunch, I take my elderly mother who generally has fish & chips or salm Good value.on with new potatoes.

The service is slow,think this is down to staff shortage as they seem to work hard. From past visits know it is ok if you self serve. This is what we did for a quick lunch, got the sandwich cream scone and drink deal at £2 75 each good value,the sandwich really fresh only quibble all white bread some brown would have been nice.

Had arranged to meet a friend in Ross and had to pick somewhere with parking and easy to find. Parking fine. service abysmal, no staff at counter had to wait too long. Food, probably the third worst meal I have ever been presented with, Veg Thai curry !! wet, tasteless, small. Coffee thin. My friend had a veg burger, it was burnt on the outside and barely cooked inside, with a minute piece of lettuce garnishing the pappy white bread roll, no sauce . I recommend that Morrisons get in a chef that can cook and train the staff to actually be on the job. The only person I saw doing any work was a young lad he was taking food orders then on the till and even delivered the meal, he was also in between cleaning, so keep him and train him up, he has a work ethic in him. In summary give this place a miss.

Great for kids as hot and cold meals available. Food is lovely and great value for money. Great if you fancy a quick cup of tea or coffee.

well what can I say its a Morrisons supermarket some people love it or dislike there restaurants/café some time its good other time its not to good I think they could all be better if the product was of a better quality. we had a breakfast the fried bread was a crust and the sausages tasted like the very cheap frozen morrisons own one's the best meal I have ever had from a morrisons was up in Sterling Scotland but a long way to go but you pay for what you get and for the price you cant really complain

They never have all of the items on the menu, especially the hunters chicken. It's very slow. Generally the service has a smile.

Best breakfast for value for money there is in the local area. Staff are polite and chatty and the service is always fast and fuss free. Every Sunday for a good old English fry up.

The cafe is spacious and has a good selection of snacks which are good value.the tables are kept clean. If you don't have time to stay they do a takeaway cuppa.

Went for lunch in November, usual good value Morrisons menu but waited 20 minutes to reach the till to order. The food then took about twenty minutes to arrive. Good simple cafe food and very reasonable. They seem to be desperately understaffed, the lady on the till was constantly being diverted to get trays or plates or sort out the coffee machine, hence the long wait and the one, very pleasant waitress who was bringing the meals out was actually running at one point. Everyone seems to be understaffed at the moment, I suppose in the name of corporate profit but this seemed to be unfair.
