Morrisons Cafe in New Forest

Went into the cafe at 1 30 pm . We were told they were closed could not believe it as we had previously been turned away many months earlier, which is why we decided to give them another chance. Such a shame as its a lovely space and area for a cafe , could be such a goldmine, and I say that as a lady that has been in catering for more than 40 years

not the best quality breakfast, a few times now we have not received what we ordered, fried egg instead if poached, and when asked to remove meat items that request is either ignored of forgotten about. we paid for extra sauce and you are supposed to get one included in the meal which we never received. baked beans are always cold.

Just a quick coffee after shopping, you need to queue to order but coffee was OK, nice and hot, a little noisy but we enjoyed it.

Toast was fine, but bacon hard like it's been under a light for too long, beans luke warm, egg white still sloopy, sausages a little too cooked.

Sausages burnt tasting egg was overcooked bacon undercooked mushrooms not cooked at all absolute terrible breakfast won't be going back

This Morrisons cafe is a sick joke. It closes when it wants ; today 3.50pm it wa supposed to be 6pm. Hot drinks machine routinely broken. Often limited menu. 'Refurb' has done nothing to improve. On many visits understaffed . Feel sorry for long suffering staff. The menu when available is actually very good. The way the management feels about its clientele is demonstrated by how long they took to reopen the toilets (Autumn 2023) .Up there with Asda Cafe Southampton City Centre .C A sensible person only visits once unless they enjoy masochism.Alas, I am not sensible.

Called in here for breakfast en route to holiday as we have done for many years. Wish we hadn't. Breakfast was all cold ( correction, the sausage was luke warm). I have never sent a meal back but if we had had time I would have done. This could have been a 5 star rating if the food had been hot as the produce was very good. Don't know why the food was cold as we arrived at 8.15am and waited about 20 minutes for our food to arrive so assumed it would have been freshly cooked. Come on Morrisons, this used to be so good! We certainly won't be back!

Cafe has really gone downhill, food lukewarm, sausages overcooked, mushrooms cold, break when you try to cut up, bacon really hard and eggs hard, also butter like water, tea cold as waiting time to long, some food unavailable especially sandwiches , really needs a overhaul or staff who can cook.

What you see on the menu may not be what the cafe has to cook. Customer gets told. Sorry we have none of that , even though its a food shop. Staff was good. Food , you take pot luck what they have to cook.

Slow service for breakfast in a half empty cafe. Everything dumped onto my plate. Fried egg solid. Beans lukewarm. Toast served in a bucket as if it was fries. Breakfasts used to be fairly solid here. This was very poor.

Yes food delivered in a trolley. Brilliant idea as it speeds thing up on a busy hot Saturday pm. All staff very courteous and helpful. Would go back anytime. Much better than two other Morrisons visited this summer. Food great. Prices reasonable/ loved it. 23/7.22

Went there Saturday 18th of June 2022. Thought I would treat my daughters to a nice breakfast. But the food was delivered in a Morristons shopping Trolley. Yes really a Morristons Trolley. Lady said it was quicker to get people food to the table. But delivering food in a used customer shopping Trolley yuk. Very unhygienic delivering customer food to eat in a Trolley. Well won't coming back again. We all been poorly from the food.

This cafe needs to be shut down food is so cold staff are rude maybe cos they are so under staffed. Used to be a good cafe but gone massively down hill. However the plates are nice shame they are not heated so the food doesn’t go cold instantly.

Just been in for what we thought was a quick breakfast ! First of no menu to look at , used to be a menu on the wall ? Next notice saying ultimate breakfast not part of the £5 deal . Selected our drinks then waited 10 minutes for the lady that was run off her feet serving the tables to take our order . Asked her about the £5 meal deal she didn’t know if it was on any more because that notice didn’t have a date on it . Helpful Ordered 2 full English told after paying it would be 15 minutes. It was actually 40 minutes! Bacon like leather Sausage nice but just warm Beans in a cold pot so cold Mushrooms 3 small, really cold Half small tomato warm Fried egg snotty And toast so hard it snapped like a biscuit ! All served on a Luke warm plate , a nice plate probably the best part of the whole experience. Lady gave us two sachets of tomato sauce , I asked for two more to which she answered it’s only 2 per person , yes there are two of us so that’s 4 ! This place has seriously gone down hill even the hot water for the tea wasn’t hot enough . Serious lack of staff I think the lady that served us might have even been working in the kitchen in between serving on the till , cleaning tables and running plates , Morrisons need to look after their staff or shut the cafe .

As far as experiences go this is a 0/10. Food was cold, bacon looked like it was carved fresh from the pig and sausages were burnt and obviously reheated. And in comparison to other local cafés it is truly bottom of the barrel. Will never eat here again. The only saving grace they have is a truly wonderful woman they had working there. Her name is Sam and she is a credit to herself indeed. Kind, polite and extremely hard working. Well done to you Sam.

Used to come here often, quality, service and cleanliness was great, last two times visiting, lady was rude, no cups, cutlery out, deserts, dirty chairs, tables dirty, considering covid it is not good, touch screen says half of the menu is unavailable but when ordering at the till it is available, last visit a young woman argued with me as to what was on the menu when i stated that the machine was saying 80% of the menu was unavailable but the the chap was saying it was. Place is dirty, staff not as friendly, quality has defo dropped, after this visit we won’t be coming back.

We have been twice now for breakfast here ,It is very good value for money staff are very good and quick to give you your order One think it isn't very hot But we will be back in a fortnight

What a discusting,disgraceful cafe this place is.It seems that some staff in the Cafe doesn't seem to have the knowledge on how to clean a table nevermind anywhere else.This Cafe should be deemed a health hazard & closed down, even Covid-19 couldn't survive here.Compared to other Morrisons Cafes that we have been in recently this place is utterly disgraceful, the manager should be ashamed to let this place be so dirty,obviously its a job too hard for him or her to handle.The place is just filthy,everything you touch is sticky & dirty even the so called clean cutlery shame, was a nice Cafe once, no pride what so ever.

We came here today after staying in Winchester for the weekend as we heard they’re doing 50% off food and drink all the time, rather than just Mon - Wed. We had 2 coffees, a big breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast with smashed avocado and an afternoon tea. It all came to less than £10 and we were STUFFED. We were allowed a box to take the rest home.It was very busy when we went in and we were informed at regular intervals that it would be 45 minutes for food. We only waited 30 minutes thankfully. Sam, a lovely lady, was always attentive to us and was an absolute joy, even when some lady was moaning that her food wasn’t there in lightning speed (Sam just told you at least 3 times that food will be 45 minutes! Even before you ordered AND in the queue!). Anyway, she was brilliant. As was Jack, the young gentleman who was borrowed from tills to come into the cafe. He was polite and attentive, also great with customers.Management, the cafe need more help rather than putting on the smallest crew who still managed to fulfil orders in time and to a great standard. They can’t do that all day, every day. I’d like a relaxed server, not one covering for the fact you can’t staff a cafe! They’ve all done a blooming good job and should be rewarded!Can’t wait to visit again for more delicious food. Thank you so much!

Ordered soup, there was none in pot but they brought some out, husband got his I didnt, told someone still didn't get it, husband went to till to tell them eventually got some, stone cold, asked to have it warned up came back still cold, it was supposed to be minestrone , it was absolutely disgusting,inedible, horrible, horrible, mess, nasty taste & nothing like minestrone, avoid!

I use to always love coming here for the eggs benedict as it’s my favourite but the last few times I have come I leave feeling really unsatisfied. The bacon always seems to be more fatty, the sauce clumpy and the eggs not so runny (more like hard boiled yolk). The service is wonderful and the staff are friendly. Just seemed like on this visit that the food was rushed to get out.

Called in on way to start our Devon holiday. Excellent value. Lovely breakfast, well cooked and nice and hot.

Good prompt,friendly service . Recommend the fish and chips,decent size portion,very tasty with a wedge of lemon.

Called in here for breakfast on the way to Dorset, wish we hadn't bothered. Restaurant wasn't busy but they took an age to bring the food out. My husbands breakfast had three items missing and my daughter got charged for black pudding twice. The lady on the till (Linda) was coughing and spluttering all over the place and when anyone asked her a question, she turned away and rolled her eyes. She periodically shouted "45 minutes wait for food." A lady asked if someone could wipe her table, cue eye roll...

What a bloody mess, staff what little there is of them surly dont understand that if you dont clear the tables then no-one can sit at them. Ok i know customers are asked to put their dirty bits away in the units provided but in this case they havent so someone has to do it.This cafe has gone down hill quicker than Theresa May's conservative party and deserves to be shut on grounds of hygiene or the lack of it.Morrisons do yourself a favour and shut up your cafe and put shelves in its place, more success there for you.

we went here for our breakfast very good value staff very polite quick service very clean would highly recomend

After a busy shopping spree it is nice to sit and have a meal that is cooked to perfection, whether a snack or full meal it is always a joy .

Went in to do my shopping but hadn’t had breakfast so I bought I’d buy something for lunch - was very happy to see that they had a lunchtime version of their breakfast (it was bigger but for a similar price). Staff were lovely and ordering didn’t take too long at all. I was only waiting for about 7-ish minutes for my brunch meal and when it arrived the food was piping hot and delicious. The coffee is hands down the best I’ve had from a vending machine, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Every staff member was doing something different and it was good to see people working hard despite the rush, I had a chat with a lady coming around to collect trays that customers had left and she appeared to genuinely care about how I’d enjoyed my food. Well done

We always use Morrisons Café Totton for breakfast on our way in to Southampton, but never again.

We decided to start back from our holiday on a good breakfast. Cafe clean and tidy, staff who were pleased to see you at 8am in the morning. Best eggs we have had for a long time, both poached and fried.

Happy cheerful staff and tidy with sauces readily available and quick service makes for a nice visit.Food wise the chips are lovely and so is the Lasagne though the Macaroni Cheese tends to be tough on top.The menu is large to suit all tastes and are more flexible than Sainsbury`s if you want your meal served with something else and serve main meals throughout the day ,not just at lunchtime unlike other supermarket café`s I`ve been to.

Very disappointed with Morrison’s I had chicken avocado salad, the avacado was brown Mostly same with the lettuce my partner had the tuna toastie An was burnt.. everyone always seems miserable an just looks like they want to go.. there is a good choice off food but it’s very cheap an not even worth it because it’s cheap.

Good food ,good range very nice staff, very good price. Wheelchair accessible, plenty of choice for veggies and good standard of hygiene. We have visited more than one of the Morrison's cards and found the standard to be good throughout from Scotland to southern England and Wales.

After doing a shop this is a nice place to grab a brew and a bit. Staff are not happy but not unpleasant.

Went to Morrisons cafe for a baked potato with cheese & salad, complained that the Potato was cold, their reply was because there was salad on the plate so the salad is to blame, not that there wasnt any heat where the potatoes are stored whilst being kept hot.

For a Supermarket Cafe this always used to be good value basic eats and snacks, well cooked and served quickly. While you dont expect it to be Michelin starred the last couple of times the food is going downhill fast. Gammon steak tough, baked beans skinned over, chips lukewarm and having to wait over 20 minutes for the meal is very dissapointing. Other members of the family have tried the breakfast and found is was greasy and lukewarm. It is a convenient place for light meals and snacks for the local shoppers but need to pull its boots up
