Called here recently on a break with my friend my friend had a pot of tea and ive never seen anything like it the teapot inside looked like a plant pot on thinking it might be a,one off looked in another 10 inside as they were on a tray and they were all the same looks like they havent had a good clean in a while if ever no excuse for it being a cafe needless to say didnt have anything to eat wont be going there again

Been here a few times. Never have items in stock. There is a machine outside where you can order but they discourage you from using it and to use the till instead. If this is the case, use a bit of common sense and turn the machine off or put a sign on it so it can’t be used? Terrible attitude of staff members (particularly the older ones). They don’t want to know. Tables dirty and not cleaned so we had to do it ourselves. What an absolute shambles but I suppose you get what you pay hence why it’s dirt cheap (well, not as cheap as it used to be unfortunately, I wouldn’t say value for money).

Was served by the young man working in the cafe today. No manners atall and poor attitude, woeful customer service which could be improved. Understand we can all have a bad day but not the first time being served by him with the same rudeness. A smile costs nothing especially to people who pay your wages. Food is okay at best but isnt consistent.

I really want to be more supportive but this place is giving me nothing and not even trying. I feel bad for coming in and disturbing them with my desire to buy something to eat. Its virtually empty and we got told a half hour wait for food. I bought some cake to eat with my coffee to keep me going for half an hour and the piece given was literally half the side of the rest and mangled like someone took a chunk out of it already. Any whatever you do don't put your arms on the table. Also advisable to bring your own cutlery unless you want to eat some of the last person's meal with yours.

Diddnt see a table cleaned in 3 hours!! Massive hygine issues here. If you want to clear your system out within an hour, this is the place to eat.

This is a busy little Café. I've found it always clean and tidy. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is simple and fresh.

Food was cold. Overcooked sausage. Rude server, throw my food on the table. I asked for sauces and the server turned her back then walked away. Stood up and went to the counter for some sauces. Only allowed 2 packs of small sauces. Any extra sauces will cost £1. Spoke to the manager, she was nice and resolved the problems.

Firstly, I am viably a disabled man who struggles through using a walking stick. Once I had quest’s I was sent away to get a table number and had to walk back. I was then abruptly served and once paid I was asked if I wanted and sauce. I asked for ketchup at which point I was handed a tiny sachet and told that if I want anymore I would have to pay (I had already paid). They then watched me struggle to the coffee machine and to get my utensils and make my way to the seat, but when thier able bodied friend was served they took everything of theirs to theirs to the table and made sure they had everything sorted before leaving them. Grumpy, rude and no help for a customer but if you are a friend you will get the top treatment. Terrible place.

Shame there isn't a '0' rating on here. What an awful experience. Cleanliness was dreadful; the table was dirty, as was the floor beneath. We had a very limited choice to sit elsewhere due to my elderly father's impaired mobility. We ordered via the app (as a sticker on the table displayed this option) and after having paid, we were readily told one of our choices wasn't available. The alternatives were limited given my father's dietary requirement for softer meals, he had to settle for a cottage pie, which wasn't initially available either until one was found from somewhere. This cost less than the meal we had originally chose, but no refund was offered for the difference! Furthermore, we had to make do with stirring our tea with the handle of a knife since there was only one used-froth-covered teaspoon left out. I took the day off work to take my father for a GP appointment, then here for some lunch, before buying flowers prior to visiting my mother's grave. This experience wasn't at all pleasant. The perfunctory approach of staff was most unwelcoming. I do like to report on any positives, as I always endeavour to give a fair account for a trusted review. Unfortunately nothing came to mind on this occasion.

Cleanliness is appalling, food was cross contaminated and caused bubble-gut within 20mins of eats, suggest you know where the nearest bolt hole is beforehand, staff are not friendly and very untidy. this place should be shut down by environmental health.

The staff here are impeccable they always aim to please don't understand some people's comments as I've never had a problem here I think people just complain without even asking but that's my opinion thank you again to all of the members of staff at Morrisons cast Outland road I do wish they done plump tomatoes but I can live without them lol

Useless. Queued up to order. Was asked table number which I didn't have (nothing to say you need to find a table first). Went to find a free table to tell the lad on the counter and he served the next customer instead and ignored me. Walked out.

Such a lovely set up clean and spacious but that's why the rest is so disappointing. . Service was very poor people queueing with one person serving . . .tables left dirty food very mediocre. . Could do much better

FIRST EVER cafe that didn't let me change sousages for something else.. I don't like them... So I asked, if not possible to change, then don't give it to me... Lady said, that I need to pay extra 1£ to take one thing off my plate 😤 Okay I said, could you give it to someone that is hungry, or to next person after me who likes them, please? No again. I think food was 3 stars, it was good, but disgusted with service and wasted sousages...

Ordered all day breakfast in cafe via app. Advised at 2:01 no hot food. No signs to say they had stopped, app let me order. Then when doing refund calculated incorrectly (too low) and would not believe me until I showed the amount on their web app at which point server raised voice and accused me of being passive aggressive?? Lol ok won’t be returning

Always a good choice for an inexpensive meal. Two stars awarded because the food was ok and did arrive pretty swiftly. Where the café really disappointed, and does on every visit, is that there aren't enough staff to keep the tables clear and clean. The staff that are here are fully engaged in food preparation and delivery. Food is delivered and the tray taken away, so it's hard to clear your table and most people don't bother. Consequently, the café is nowhere near as pleasant as it should be. I'd appreciate a conversation with Morrison's about this, if they read these reviews.

Popped in before my shop. Edible but very poor, turned up with items missing. Congealed beans and very very well cooked sausages. Much better around for a similar price. Hope it improves as it used nicer.

Everything time we come we wait for ages very understaffed.i ordered jacket potato lady walk past me with it then headed back to kitchen to check who it belonged to then proceeded to stop to talk to a work man....breathing and talking over my food before bringing it to.table.what with covid and hygiene wasn't pleasant .looked for a manager but no one around.....honestly are they even trained.food not great so won't waste money here again.....hope I don't get ill

Popped in for a snack but very disappointing. 30 minute wait for food which would be OK but the place was almost empty. One of two coffee machines out of order and the other out of milk. All could be forgiven were it not for the abrupt and unhelpful manner of the staff. Won't bother again.

Absolutely disgusting took 45 mins to microwave a jacket potato, and it still came out under cooked 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️, the salad was hot 🤢 must have been left under a hot plate. Daughters chicken nuggets were still soggy inside. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they want food poisoning 🤢 I’d give it zero stars if it would let me

Absolutely rubbish, greasy undercooked bacon and mushrooms, over cooked egg. Son had cold chips with luke warm beans and nuggets

Deliciously hot jacket potato, cheese, beans and fresh side salad, would definitely be ordering again The girl at the till was quiet but efficient .

Get a table number before you order. The food was acceptable, the staff attitude was not, they didn't care at all, probably an attitude developed over time, and a testament to bad management. Some of the vending machines had obvious mechanical issues. The flatware was very flat and a bit greasy, the menu was priced like a mainstream pub chain, but the pub chain food is better value and more of it, considering the food was probably Morrisons own brand. I was expecting more from Morrisons. The cafe is badly designed the staff have to walk around a partition to get to the popular window seating area. There were 4 staff visible the day I visited, I got the impression that were all doing their own thing and no one was in charge.

Shocking service not enough staff.Breakfast arrived mixed up 2 portions on 1 plate none on the other.Items missing.

Went there for 2 breakfasts and 2 teas at 12.47 1.47 still waiting for them .if I was told there was an hour wait I would not of ordered .I understand your short staffed .but hey guys customers need clarafacations on how long it will be .Your doing a great job but you need to communicate with customers . .

Jacket potato was served within fifteen minutes of ordering and was put in piping hot, it also came with a side salad, good value for money

OH Morrison's , why have you changed the cafe menu ? This cafe was voted best breakfast in Plymouth 4 or 5 years ago, now it is deserted at 13.30. Don't bother the selection of food is very little.

After lockdown and a hospital stay, I was desperate to get out, even to the local shop. They have made the shelves higher, normal people can't reach the top shelves, me in a mobility scooter has no chance. Going to this particular shop is like a mini holiday for me. I am mainly housebound, do a little shopping trip is my freedom. Huh NOT ANYMORE. I BUY WHAT I OR KIND SHOPPERS REACH FOR ME. No staff to help. You are going to lose disabled shoppers, me for one. I am buying most of my shopping online from Tesco,from now on, they deliver to me unlike you half a mile away can't deliver to me, what a farce, absolute cock up. Thank god most of your staff at the tils are great, otherwise you would be empty. Buck your ideas up and final note your tuna rolls are fantastic, unless you get there before 9 a.m. they are all gone. Make more please or make it so we can get them from the pizza counter, please?

Visité algunas tiendas y me detuve a almorzar en la cafetería. 2 sandwiches de tocino, una porción de papas fritas con queso y 2 cafés. El tocino estaba muy frío. El pan era la variedad más barata y más delgada envasada. El queso simplemente se arrojó a las papas fritas y, por lo tanto, no se derritió. ¡Por qué no lo metieron debajo de una parrilla durante un par de minutos! ¡Toneladas de margarina en el pan, en grandes bultos! ! ! Terrible, don’t bother. Don’t waste your time reading the menu, it’s more like guide lines to tempt you. Quicker to ask what the have got, which will breakfast. Wife declared she was only eating the food because she was really hungry.

Finalmente, una ocasión eligió algo que tenían, esperó 50 minutos, sirvió 3 de nuestras 4 comidas para que nos dijeran que la 4ª, para mi hija, ahora también estaba agotada. What a shambles of a place very poor management. Went fo all day breakfast which advertised. was availble until 3pm to be told after 15 minute queue was not available at 12.30. Opted for xmas turkey dinner to be told they had run out of pigs in blankets and stuffing at 12.45 in the afternoon hardly late!! 20 minute wait for food it wasnt particulaly busy.wont be going back!

Morrison’s Plymstock has undergone a massive refurbishment, the cafe has been smartened up with new tables and chairs.Unfortunately this has not extended to either the quality of food or the serviceThe staff were rude, when I ordered I asked Wendy for poached eggs, she informed me they don’t do them anymore. I pointed out that they are on the menu to once again being to ‘we don’t do them’?Whilst making my tea and coffee another member of staff bathed me out of the way, then proceeded to try to take my tea and coffee away! I pointed out that I was in the middle of making them, no apology or anything at all.We ordered two breakfasts, after half an hour I asked for our food again, finally 40minutes after ordering it turned up.Portion sizes have been halfed, no butter with toast, almost inedible egg and bacon.Really really poor, to a point of being one of the worst breakfasts that I have had.Folks avoid this cafe, it may be cheap but it really isn’t worth it at all.

Thought we would pop in for a quick breakfast as was close to us and we were hungry, boy what a mistake, worst ever, cold bacon, soggy fried bread, ment to be half tomato but was a small tiny lump of slush that looked like it had been nuked by the Russians, hash browns undercooked & was rubbery and if u threw them they would bounce back. If u get bored I guess u can start a hash fight, my mate had the egg benedict and was shocking, was meant to be a muffin but got served and a stale brown bun, was so much sauce just over powered the whole thing and was salty, in the up side the eggs were ok, was that bad I was embarrassed to complain, will never eat hear again, still hungry so gunna have to go for more food else where!!!!! Not a happy bunny!!!

Top tip, bring ghe kids here after 3pm and they eat for free if you buy an adult meal, so you can feed them cheaply while adult number two does the shopping in peace. Food is well cooked, and there is a good range of cake and breakfast bits ... I like it

Staff member on checkout was friendly and chatty, ordered two bacon sandwiches. There were two other tables of people in the cafe they already had their food but it took 17 minutes for some bacon to be fried and put on bread. The staff member who brought the food was polite but after such a long wait I was very annoyed to find my bacon was stone cold. Didn't have the time to wait for a fresh hot one and didn't fancy microwaving it. Didn't expect gourmet from a supermarket cafe but expected better than that

My Partner and I visited the cafe the other night for a spot of dinner before shopping and we had no complaints. No queues, friendly service, food arrived hot. Can you really complain when you’re paying between £4 -£6 for a main meal?

Quick stop on a long cycle ride. Not a great advert for Morrisons! The store sells porridge but the cafe was out of porridge, how can that be!!! Soup took twenty minutes. Queuing system made ordering awkward. The machine latte was surprisingly good and the staff were polite otherwise one star.

It seems more often than not that the Cafe are out of various meals.

Popped in after swimming with our grandson. The new layout means you queue and block off everything. Cold drink machine not working and 20 minute wait for 3 x sausage.chips.beans and egg. Food arrived eventually and nothing was hot. Not all improvements are for the better ?????

Had their Lamb shank for lunch it was excellent, other half had scampy which was also very good, plus 2 coffee's £15 great value. Service was fine staff pleasant and the cafe was full which must tell you some thing.

First time eaten here since re-furnishment the all day breakfast was lovely and hot and recieved in record time. the service and cleanieness of the cafe was 100 times better than before will return again

The layout of this restaurant is terrible, not well thought out at all. Visited at 6pm, 3 meals I chose were not available and there was no sugar sachets available. Come on Morrison's give your catering manager a good shake this is letting you down!!

visited the café since refurbishment . Whoever designed the layout where the queue is out into the store and nowhere to put trays . One coffee machine out of order a 35 minute wait for food which was cold tables not cleared.

We went to this cafe with 4 of the children because we needed something quick and easy. To be honest we wernt expecting much.

Staff were rude and obviously couldn't be bothered, the tables were covered in dirty plates and cups 2 staff were chatting and were not happy when i asked to be served. Never again.

Came here for lunch before meeting my family. My husband and I ordered a meal and we ordered a free meal for our 16 month old son. The original item my husband wanted they didn't do so he ordered the burger. The food came out 40 minutes after we ordered and it was a disappointment. My husband's burger was burnt, my gammon was overcooked (to the point where it was like eating rubber) and my sons mashed potato was so dry he couldn't eat it! The staff were miserable and didn't tell us the plates were hot. Luckily we touched the plate so that my son didn't burn his hand! Not at all happy with the quality of food or service.

The sanwiches are great, service for hot meals, slows than a snail stuck to chewing gum on a pavement. Good for patents after school buy one meal, get one free, so you wait twice as long

This is ok, nothing great. The quality of the produce is not the best. For the money you would be better off buying your own and taking it home to cook. They seem under staffed so not the best. The place is too small for slow service. The tables need to be cleared much quicker and the food delivered much faster for the amount of people that seem to want to eat here.

Had a big breakfast which was awful, burnt bacon that was dry, everything was just warm only decent thing was hash browns

We arrived as the store opened and the staff were freindly. The food was cooked to order and arrived quickly, the bacon bap had loads of bacon, very tasty. Was perfect for a quick stop of and filled us up until lunch.

The meal arrived on a freezing cold plate for my granddaughter, instant mash looked revolting. The chicken nuggets were hot though. Staff were very slow serving, clearing tables and refilling cutlery.Will stick to sandwiches if I go again and am desperate for food.

This cafe is great for cooked breakfast £4.50 full English, other meals provided , all freshly cooked. Staff need to be more attentive (less chatting and more serving and clearing the tables). Generally a good place to stop to eat , prices reasonable.

The posh`s place I have ever took my wives and 6 children and Mum and Dads also took my dog to the restaurant but he disappeared whilst I was waiting for my food.

A bit of a hit and miss affair. Cheap and cheerful but very harsh lighting (Take some lightbulbs out, its really that easy), poor quality food, long wait times, meals constantly being interrupted by loud store tannoy announcements, no atmosphere. The breakfasts are OK quality but for gods sake rename the "little breakfast" to an english breakfast (which is what it is) and stop being so silly. Replace the tables with something that is not from a 1980's Wimpy bar.

I ordered pie, mash and beans and when it arrived the mash was not as hot as it should be. I spoke to Jess and she removed the plate and within 5 mins I had a new plate of hot food delivered with a smile. Well done Jess!

Where do I start.... I was shouted at by a plump lady from the kitchen to move down the lane as no one could serve me at the "serving point". Prices for drinks were ridiculously high, the milkshakes tasted like angel delight (weird!)..... right now baring in mind I spent £20 on food and drinks for three people... the build a breakfast was pathetic.. i can't even believe they would serve that as food it tasted like rubber from bacon to eggs to sausages... it tasted like it had been pre heated from the day before... absolutely shocking .... never again!!!!

As seems often the case, hypermarket cafes, particularly in Morrisons and Asda are a magnet to older poorer people who find the basic comparatively cheap food in a warm clean environment attractive. This cafe is often busy with a queue.

Too many people, too little space, sluggish service, middling to poor food and unsettling environment. But it's the only cafe round here.

recently waited 25 minutes for a jacket potato with chilli, when it arrived it was lukewarm. the waitress asked if i wanted it reheated to witch i replied , no i would like a fresh one and soon please. while i was waiting for it to be redone i watched them calmly sorting out other orders for people who had ordered way after me. I got fed up waiting and asked to speak to the supervisor who hadn't been around at the time. She apologised and quickly sorted it out and offered another drink or what we fancied. On the whole if the cafe is busy there tends to be a long wait !!!

Was feeling hungry prior to doing a big shop in the supermarket so decided to eat in the cafe. I witnessed two people complaining, one of the complaints I couldn't hear but the other was a complaint that there was no option for vegans on the menu. I found this ridiculous and think the member of staff handled it very well. The menu is cheap and cheerful but what on earth do people expect from a supermarket cafe and the prices charged? The cafe was clean and the food wasn't bad for what it was. It's not the sort of place you would make a special effort to visit but if you fancy something to eat or drink when you're doing a shop it does the trick.

Although I only give this an average rating of three stars it's perfectly good for what it is - it's a supermarket cafe not a fine-dining restaurant!We came to the store get our shopping with the thought to get a sandwich to eat on the way home but it was pouring down outside and as we were on holiday decided to treat ourselves to a hot lunch instead. The cafe was very busy and we were told there would be a 20 minute wait for hot food but in actual fact it didn't take more than 10. We both had the mini fish and chips (£3.50 each) and I have to say it was very nice! Cooked just right, the portion size was just about what I expected for the price and it was nice and hot. The staff were friendly, the place felt clean and they were going as fast as they could clearing the tables.I'm not a fan of fixed tables and chairs but it's the usual thing in a place like this.On the back wall there are huge blown up photos of Plymouth in days gone by so you don't feel you are in some generic Morrison's cafe that could be anywhere, you at least get a sense of where you are. That's plenty enough atmosphere for a supermarket cafe!Would eat here again.

Best place to eat in plymouth, highly recommend it. The food is amazing. Would definitely go there again for a hot date xx

Staff don't seem to know what they should be doing..Cleaning the place would help as the tables and counter area filthy.Seem to have plenty of staff but always talking to each other and nothing gets done waited for our sandwiches for 20 mins and only got them then because went up twice to see what had happened.Very poor service not what would exspect from morrisons as other stores have visited are fine.The other problem isn't the staffs fault the place is small but come on the tables and chairs that are joined together if you are disaballed how are you suppose to sit on them.come on get it right.Customers like to have somewhere they can have a drink and something to eat.

This is the worst supermarket café I have visited. My husband & I on our way back from holiday, & popped in to have the supposingly award winning fish & chips which we had at the Bideford branch a couple of weeks earlier. We were told there would be a wait. Within 5 mins of sitting down we were presented with our food. The fish was overcooked, dark batter saturated in fat. The chips looked as if they had been fried left in the basket & then refried, also dripping in fat. I picked out the fish, but could not eat anything else, we would have complained there & then but we were tired, the café was very busy. £10 wasted. I wrote a letter of complaint, but did not even have a response or acknowledgment from the manager Mr Canhill. Don't use this café, you might as well be throwing your money away.

Good value for money but poor levels of service, long waits for food and generally poor attitude towards customers. The whole ordering system needs a lot of attention, perhaps introduces another till would help where people not ordering hot food could pay. But the pricing is great, please do not be put off its worth a try but never go if your in a hurry.

This is the worst supermarket cafe that I have ever used. Assistants were offhand, the food took ages to arrive and the staff were wheeling full rubbish bins in and out for the refuge collection. Staff were also spraying table cleaner to wipe table next to us while we were eating and it was settling onto our table. The whole are needs to be upgraded and staff needs to be re-trained as there does not seem to be any atmosphere or welcome in this horrible place. Would never use again!!

ordered food 2 meals curry and rice and fish and chips- waited ages to order, then waited 33 miutes for our food, which when it arrived wasnt presented nicely and looked like it had been thrown on the plates

Went food shopping and my little boy was hungry so we sat down and ate. His food came and there was a hair in his food!! Spoke to a member of staff and he offered another one for 'free'. Well it's not for free really is it because I paid for a meal and did not expect hair and that's all they done. Replace the meal and everything will be fine.....never going back , don't deserve my money!!

We joined a long que of people waiting to get their drinks from machines. We ordered tea cakes when we paid and were given a large number to put on our table. After TWENTY FIVE minutes the tea cakes hadn't arrived! When we asked we were told nobody could find our number so they took them back to the kitchen. We were then given the cold tea cakes, after we complained they were taken back and they finally did us some fresh ones! Not good enough.

Morrisons at Plymstock is better than this one, but for the size of the store its ok. Most of the time there is enough room for all who want to use it. The food is always adequate as is the service, but sometimes there is a waiting time for featured dishes.

Till staff... Awful stuck up. Manager ... Arrogant rude unpleasant and overcompensating! Get some customer service training.

good choice hot meal combined with shopping would come here again when in plymouth.good value as we came after 5pm

I like Morrisons all food is served hot and attention to cleanliness is good.The variety on offer would give anyone the chance of a decent meal

considering the food they sell the slops in this cafe does not represent that. it was disgusting, do not bother with the food at all, I expected more from this cafe...

avoid saturday mornings as packed and 20 min wait.Really love the all day brekkie!!! Bagels are little dry

Ideally situated in the store in a level area which is good for wheelchairs and close to toilet facilities.There is a reasonable menu and the food we had was hot and tasty at a reasonable price. Plenty of seating but gets very busy at mealtimes.

We were surprised at the good quality of food, price & service very good will visit again in the near future.

Constantly busy and lively from opening till late in the day. As good as any other cafe in the city. No nonsense food quickly and politely served. Rest your sore feet before or after a hectic shop. Ample parking. Nowhere else to eat for a large distance round here.
