Morrisons Cafe in Leicester

We ordered 2 breakfasts, 1 vegan breakfast and 1 small breakfast. The food arrived very quickly, but the breakfast was average but also cheap. Personally wouldn’t recommend the vegan breakfast, as there are better options in the area. But overall not too bad, average!

Ordered chips (19) burnt and in a dirty bucket @ £2.00 x 2 Bread and butter x2 (not butter) + 2 teas . £9.60. to be honest not worth it. will not be using again.

Worst breakfast I’ve had in a long time,tiny bacon and hashbrowns not catering style,not even the hashbrowns they usually offer as I’ve ate here before which is why I returned presuming I’d get a decent breakfast,every item was luke warm,bacon sausage and egg were well over done,I wouldn’t even recommend this to my dog. New chef needed asap!

No signs out front saying what time they close. After placing an order on the screen someone came over and said they have no food left and they close in 15 minutes so offered a refund. A member of staff walked past twice while we was placing an order on the screen so could have told us at any point that they were closing but they didn't. Im sure they would have had food left but they were probably lazy and wanted to close up. If you don't want someone ordering so close to closing time then you should have closing times up at the front and maybe close the screen off so customers have to come to the till instead! Won't be returning!

My family and I (5A & 2C) decided to stop here for a little bite to eat and a catch up on a Saturday afternoon. (2pm) When we arrived there were only 2 tables occupied, the rest all clean and ready for people to sit down. Plenty of room for us to move a table or two to make a large table for us all to sit together. We looked at the menu and decided on what we all wanted, my husband then went up to place the order. They do a kids eat free offer if you spend so much on an adults main. While my husband was at the counter I could see him deep in conversation and then he returned. " They don't have what you have ordered". No problem I thought and I chose something else, off he went. He then returned again, "nope they don't have that either", again I chose something else. After the third time of him returning with the same "nope, nor that" the lady from behind the counter came over to the table. She was very apologetic and advised me that they had none of the mains other than the breakfasts, burgers or toasties. She also advised me they didn't have the children's meal that my daughter wanted either. Not leaving much left to pick between, I chose a cheese and ham toastie with chips on the side, and chicken nuggets for my daughter. I asked the lady from Morrisons if they had been very busy that day to which she replied not really. I asked her how come everything was sold out to which she replied, well we don't sell much so it's either we don't get sent a lot or some dishes we don't stock at all. I was surprised by her complete honesty and in fairness she was very polite and friendly. The food arrived and it was all hot & fresh. It tasted great and price wise it's good. However this little cafe overall could be so much better. Get it stocked up or use stock from the supermarket of which it is inside of, offer a better choice of drinks and food choices.

Just had the most Awful breakfast ever from this cafe. Rock hard over cooked bacon, baked beans hard and over cooked, tomato not cooked, asked for no mushroom and guess what I got mushrooms! Hash brown tasted like it had sat in oil for days, black pudding tasted funny. I will never come to this cafe again. Over priced and the food awful.

Never, I repeat NEVER try to use the cafe here on a Leicester City match-day. You think the management of the store would realise it’s likely to be busier ( it’s not like it’s not been here a while). When the food eventually turns up after nearly an hour wait ( for an all day breakfast ffs) it’s not all there and the server then disputes what there should be on the plate even after being shown the printed menu !!!!!!!

There’s always something wrong when we go to eat here and now I’m taking it to the internet as what we were served was shocking! Will not be returning anytime soon

There seems to be a determination by Morrisons to do away with people in their retail operations which is sadly reflected in their diner. Food is good for the price. If it wasn't, not sure how you'd complain to a screen with pictures. Morrisons losing touch with it's core values.

Went for the first time since 2020 but wished we did not bother £5.50 for Luke warm dry up breakfast cold toast no brown sauce service was ok but for a place that used to do a good fair priced breakfast but now not worth £3 never mined £5.50 all food dried up Luke warm want be going back there

avoid The GINOS halal chicken hot n spicy Bought 3 Packets 3 Days ago went to cook and all the chicken what me and family regularly buy all the chicken had mould growing on it really bad that morrisons is allowing this and don't care for its customers attitude REALLY BAD THAT MORRISONS IS ALLOWING was paid and bought at Leicester morrisons opposite freeman's college highly recommend to avoid and be careful!!!

I had fish with mash potatoes it was cooked very well nice and tasty it was served on a plate very nicely the staff were very polite and helpful

Same old, same old. Not worth the 10 minutes it took to queue to the till to pay for a cream scone and coffee.

A wide range of fresh great quality food. Always welcoming and friendly staff. A amazing deal of a three course Christmas meal. Looking forward to having it again next year 🙂

As a cook in a cafe myself I was very disappointed with the food in the cafe, it appeared to be just thrown on the plate with no attention to detail in food presentation and disappointed in the lack of food they had to offer. The tables were dirty, staff appeared not bothered in their appearance ( unkept ) and didn’t seem to want to help or assist in any way. I asked about my order and was told the machine was “turned off” with an attitude where they wouldn’t be willing to try and turn it on. I had to change my order to suite the staffs attitude with wanting to do so little work to then have a plate with food practically thrown on it and that was covered in grease. Neither me nor my parents enjoyed our experience within Morrison’s Cafe. Will not be returning or recommending.

We visited last week and we're so impressed with the food. I had lamb shank and my wife placed eggs Benedict. Normally the food matches (or not) the price..but on this occasion it was brilliant. Also the staff seemed to know what to do and we're happy.

I ordered scampi chips and peas and a kids bolognaise , it took ages for the food to come put when it did the food looked like it had been under a heater all dried out because I waited so long I didn't complain has I was hungry by then

Reasonable price for average food. Could deal with more staff so the service could be a bit quicker on busy days

We go here for a breakfast. Delicious food. Well cooked and very clean. Checkout lady is a little unhappy but what can we do about that apart from be kind to her. I enjoy the food here. We will keep coming back as long as they don't put the prices up.

جربنا عندهم سمك السلمون كان محضر بطريقه جيده وكان طازج لكن الطعام محدود والخيارات ليست كثيرة جيد لمن بالسوبرماركت

We visited the cafe last week with my brother who has high support needs. The Cafe Manager Tracey has an amazing team working for her who know him very well. They know order in which he likes to have his food and will ensure that he is not kept waiting too long due to his autism. They work to his needs and will talk to him if he is in a good mood he will respond - they know his favourite foods and have on many occassions wrapped him some of his favourite cake for me to take home to him if he could not get there to have it.

Saturday lunchtime and I was impressed with the speedy service. Just ordered a breakfast and dessert. No sooner as I paid, collected utensils, drink and choice of table, within minutes my food was at the table.

Nice place for meal and cafe, close to Morrisons supermarket. It has big free park (2 hours) and news for families and individuals gathering.

Popped in for a coffee while me car was being serviced across the road 7th March.

Came here for breakfast as we was collecting our food to order Christmas items. Cups were brown and dirty, long wait for a relatively empty cafe. When we sat down the table was dirty and clearly hadn't been wiped. There was a very suspicious dark and curly hair on a napkin. Avoid of possible.

Waited for 45 minutes for breakfast apparently no staff. Should I be aware of this no. No clean cups as waiting for someone to was up!!

I spent some time in Leicester recently, visiting a family member in hospital and I did some food shopping fro them at Morrison's whilst I was there. I have used other restaurants from this supermarket and always found them to offer reasonable food at very reasonable prices. The service here was friendly and the food lived up to expectations. You could always pop in and give it a try.

Food is cheap and cheerful and staff are very friendly, but if you are looking for good service go elsewhere.

Came in here for some lunch on way to the rugby game and waiting 40 mins when food came was wrong food to what I ordered because staff r not paying attention to what they r doing so has to wait a further 20mins and it was thrown together horrrrrible food chips wore burned as inch from its life same as rings the "brioch bread" was hard hence one bite on the photos and salad well u define that coz lots of spinach leaves that r not washed and rotting as u can see on photos to me isn't a salad.... what a waste of time and missed first half of the game..... fuming is an understatement so

Not the greatest food. Not a wide choice. It was about 3pm. Staff were friendly. Would only visit again if desperate.

Wide selection available on the menu at a reasonable price. On the downside is the wait when there is a sports event on either at the Tigers or King Power. Very accessible for the disabled and friendly staff.

Had a huge breakfast here on a deal - I think it was a fiver with an orange juice included. Good quick service, food cooked properly and well presented. Value for money.

Don't bother getting food from cafe 40 minutes for a bacon and cheese toasties not that good when it arrived .Won't be coming back

My partner and I decided we would treat ourselves to a roast turkey lunch whilst we were shopping today. Although it was 2:30pm, we didn't expect such an awful meal. The roast potatoes were very dry and the brussels were brown. The meal took almost 30 mins to reach us. If Morrisons plans to serve a meal then they should prepare it in batches through out the day not just keep it hot over a long period. Our experience was very disappointing, although the restaurant was very pleasant, being recently refurbished.

Happiness... is having breakfast at Morrisons cafe on a Saturday morning! Being nice and warm inside with a view of the car park, people bustling to and from their cars with bags full of groceries, and tge other view is of a long row if cashiers and shoppers checking out their groceries. Lovely energy! Quite enjoyable for any true morning person! And if you're not a morning person and curious what it's like, try coming here!

Visited tonight to shop and eat and found very easy and relatively cheap,staff friendly and free parking.

Called in on Tuesday 2 August and was, again, disappointed with the cafe. Utensil containers and milk not refilled. Majority of tables covered in trays and crockery. Nowadays the tables are not wiped down and remains of several previous meals are stuck to them as if with 'No Nails'!! Having new furniture in place is not a replacement for hygiene. Very disappointed with Morrison's these days. This is not the only branch that has hygiene issues. Staff shortages is not an excuse if Morrison's want to remain in the market. There are other establishments happy to provide a good service.

I have just visited the cafe and the only thing that has changed is the table and chairs.

Today 27th June 2016, I went to do some shopping at morrisons, I was meeting my husband afterwards and decided to have some light refreshments in the in store cafe.

I was shocked to see the male toilets had not been checked since 1pm on Saturday, I visited the store at 8pm. If the toilets, that face the public are neglected this way, what could be said about the facilities the public do not see?

Flying start breakfast !,. Never again. After waiting half an hour it finally arrived. 2 sausages ( 1 cold 1 warm) egg undercooked slime. Half a tomatoe.. (freezing cold) 1 dried up slice of bacon,( burnt around edges) 1 half slice of thick crust of bread soaked in grease. Omg. Turned my stomach. One Good point was the latte. But Overpriced. Plenty of staff in the kitchen (chatting away) but none to be seen in the cafe actually working. Pull your socks up morrisons employ decent staff that actually gives a dame.

A salad covered in parmesan sort of defeats the object of a salad really. The other option was a ploughman's which consisted of pork pie and more cheese. Not really a salad. Spent most my time picking out cheese and croutons... Little disappointed!!

Takes a lot for me to criticise food but this has gone down majorly down hill!!

Staff and rude and treat you with undue suspicion. Food took ages, it wasn't cooked properly. In fact, it was disgusting too. I can't be bothered to elaborate, just never go.

Service is terrible and food is awful. Had to wait 40 mins for a simple meal and then the staff were not accommodating at all. AVOID

Inedible scrambled egg on a soggy muffin. Bad coffee to boot. Disappointing from a supermarket that I actually really like. Use the cafe to showcase the brand not put people off!

Had a full English breakfast,waited almost 10minutes to place my order,then the coffee machine didn't work,so was told there was filtered which we later found that we were charge for a large latte.when breakfast finally arrived it was to be expected apart from the extremely strong taste and smell of the hash brown that reeked of fish!!,obviously cooked in the same oil.after finishing the lady with a tire trolley to collect plates etc rammed into a very elderly lady's arm who nearly fell back in her seat.the lady pushing the trolly later said(which was blatantly obvious)that she wasn't able to see over the top,hence the collision.makes you wonder if that was somebody in front carrying a tray of hot drinks how different things might have been.

We used to eat here a lot, it was good value for a good meal but how the times have changed. It is £9 for 2 meals with a drink - that's £4.50 each which would be resonable if the food was nice, but after waiting 40 minutes (and it wasn't busy) our meals arrived on tea plates. My chicken had been microwaved within an inch of its life and I think that my partners fish had spent longer in the kitchen than swimming and had never seen the sea. It used to be award winning fish and chips, now it seems that they just couldn't be bothered! I spoke to the manager at the time but I hope that someone from Morrisons reads this. The heart has gone out of the cafe and I won't be eating there again which means thatIi won't shop there either. Morrisons, don't lose sight of your core shoppers!

I have written to Morrison's several times about, the coffee machines that are always broken!

Have had brekki here a few times but the most painful thing is the slow service could do with more staff

Ordered 2 hot pot pies. One with chips and peas one with a jacket and beans. The jacket came in a bowl not cut and with no butter but we were still given chips!!! Cut into the pie and it was frozen solid inside. Couple on the next table ordered burgers and theirs was also frozen. Disgusting place rubbish all over the floor and dilitry staff keep away if you value your health.

what a place to go shopping by the time i got served; i managed to grow a grey beard and i'm only 19!!. employ more staff!! won't be going back again.

Most Morrison's are the same format, good food, long queues and great value. Its hit and miss on whether the tables have been cleared for you to eat your meals. Here's a tip take some wet wipes for the table just in case.

Went for breakfast before our usual weekly shopping.
