Morrisons Cafe in East Riding of Yorkshire

Not a massive fan of Morrisons, but thought we would give it another try. Nothing has changed. Chips were....well.....hard. I was going to call it a day and leave, but was hungry so persevered.... wrong decision...one of the bullet chips got lodged in my throat....serious I could not breath...it was scary....coughing like crazy and not one person seemed to care....suddenly, gagging and wretching on the little beast, threw up thankfully and lived to write this review. Sorry to the cleaner, but it was not my fault...at least I am alive. Embarrassed, annoyed, but alive. Soup for me in future.

sometimes i go to this Cafe with my mum and dad, we have a bacon sand witch and a drink the bacon is well cooked, and the service is well done

No no no no no no no nooooooo...Just do not go. I think they put all my breakfast in cool cooking fat and then poured the lot on my plate, stuck it in the fridge, micro-froze some beans and shot at the said breakfast the beans from a water cannon.....and that is a GOOD review.

If I could give 0 starts I would, breakfast was stone cold and salty. The staff were rude the tea was horrible. Will never visit again was disgusting

We had the Christmas dinner Dec 2022 it was 10 out of 10 really nice, but Dec 2023 was poor ,starter was okay sweet was okay, but middle course was very poor, parsnips carrots like chewing leather sprouts tasted odd gravy was like brown water, lumps in the mash , no roast potatoes, they forgot to bring cranberry sauce, Yorkshire pudding was hard, and the whole lot was quite cold, I've seen on YouTube some Morrisons do excellent Christmas dinners, but in 2023 not the beverley store.

Two very small Jacket potatoes came with hardly any salad. Nice but not enough. Potatoes not much bigger than a new potato so disappointed.

We were camping nearby, and came here for a cheeky breakfast to save on the washing up. The cooked breakfast was ok, but it was only lukewarm. It would have been more enjoyable if it'd been hot.

Been going to this cafe for a long time and never had a bad meal, I’ve met family friends and professionals and the place and service are very good, always clean and always friendly staff.

Not good. The lady at the front was excellent doing the COVID-19 forms. After that it all went downhill. The lady on the till charged me for chips that I didn’t have. One person of staff with no mask!

Been many times but this has to be the worst we have had. Waited half an hour for our breakfast to be served flopped on a plate. Fried eggs hard and broken and bacon and sausage swimming in grease. We had to sit at sj allocated table in the isle where lots of people coming and going from counter and till coffee and tea. Didn't feel safe at all. Will not be returning

Sometimes stop here when shopping. Very reasonable prices but got to time it right. Sometimes a very long wait for food. So usually go for the tiny sandwiches which come with a few crisps . A nice pot of tea with some lemon. Mostly clean tables and helpful staff.

The state of the art self ordering console takes a bit of getting use to and some may prefer to order with human contact at the till. Definitely not fast food as your meal is cooked to order. Good vfm (value for money) and will be favoured by those on a budget and those with hungry children!! Don't expect gormet food but if you thrive on a 'full english' you will love it here. I usually take one sweetner with my latte but found it benefited from an extra sweetner. Friendly, helpful staff.

Been 4 times now recently and each time it is closed or on limited "food". Something is going on but Morrisons are obviously "not allowed" to say. My guess is it's closing....we'll see

Me and my wife go out for a cooked breakfast a few times a month & today went to Morrison’s cafe. We both bought an all day breakfast and it was the worst we have ever had. The toast was just bread . . Scrabbles eggs were shocking. Mine as you can see was just a lump from the bottom of the pan. The bacon didn’t look that cooked and there was a lack of baked beans. Cook could have made it look a lot more presentable too. Will go again for coffee but will be avoiding eating there

After shopping here we fancied a coffee & a snack,service was a little slow,lots of choices of meals,cakes,sandwiches and deserts.enjoyed some cakes with our coffees.

Went this morning for breakfast. Trays dirty. Found it hard to find a clean table. Very poor standard.Went to use their toilets and everyone was complaining no tissue in any of the three toilets and no soap in the dispensers. They need to get their act together.

Wasn’t good two weeks ago but try again we have never had a bad time in a Morrison’s cafe before but ones again dirty tables ordered food and drinks only to find 1 coffee machine hot choc not working tried the other one with no luck staff member came across said must be blocked have a coffee or something or I will refund you errr how about unblocking it been in same situation at Goole and they fix it ??? Then sat at another dirty table it was early so quiet but still had 40 min for a small breakfast and a pie mash which came out on a dirty plate as for the small breakfast it was plonked on the plate toast on top of beans egg rock hard just no pride in there job perhaps you should send your staff to Goole for some training to how it should be done !!!!

The place was filthy - food on the floor, tables greasy and dirty. Cutlery dirty. Even the number you display to wait for your order was thick grease! Order was wrong and had to wait 45 mins for it to arrive. Only asked for one breakfast! Cheap it may be but would rather pay more to have basic cleanliness and good service.

Took our grandson here for tea cannot think of how to express how disappointed we were at the poor quality of the food. Barely warm, overcooked poor quality chips portion size was so small not good value for money. Not going to go again

So disappointing that this cafe can't get a breakfast right. Waited 37 mins for my breakfast. I was told it was because people had returned eggs as cold.And I too was served stone cold eggs.I'd waited too long to send back. Beans do hot I nearly burned my lip.Fried bread was clearly re heated as it nearly broke a tooth, overall experience very poor, won't be returning.

We called here & ordered our meals and coffee. After paying it was discovered that the coffee machine was being repaired. However, an assistant got us coffee from another machine elsewhere in the store. We had just sat down and an assistant came to our table to tell my husband they had no burgers! He made another choice. Whilst waiting for the meal to arrive the same thing happened to others sat close by - their choice was not available. The food was OK - nothing special & small portions. You could not fault the staff though who were most friendly.

We paid a visit here while shopping and enjoyed the full cooked breakfast for less than £5 brought to the table after ordering and paying on a large screen. A little confusing if not having seen this been done before and not fully aware of where all the options are shown. We had difficult locating the crumpets, ending up having to order them at the cash register. The food tasted good and was hot. Coffee good but came from a semi-automatic dispenser - not a vending machine - and was pretty slow. I noticed they also do family meals (4) for less than £10 so not an expensive place to eat while out shopping. During our three weeks in Beverley we visited here several times while shopping and mostly had just a coffee but we always found the staff pleasant and the tables clean. Tables left untidy and messy are the fault of the people using them, not the shop or staff who are expected to clean up other peoples inconsiderate and poor behaviour.

Again the cafe area is a mess. Almost every table is dirty and has leftover food on them. It is quick and easy when doing a food shop tho.

Since the opening of McDonald’s across the road, the service has got worse. You’d think they’d improve as their is now competition.

Breakfast was horrible. Somehow managed to overcook and undercook an egg. Broken hollandaise sauce that looked more like cheese and tasted even worse.

Visited here today with my family and there was limited food on the menu, when we asked why this was we were informed they were changing the menu. This has happened before when we last visitedbsombiw long does it take to change the menu. We decided that eat elsewhere andvwillnit be returning until this gets sorted out,

Get your groceries and reward yourself with a visit to the cafe.Food is good,service friendly and cafe is clean.

The cafe is well presented and kept clean. The staff are very polite and courteous at all time. As I go with my disabled sister and her service dog we are made very welcome by the staff. The food is very good and service is to table so no juggling food trays. Just your drinks to carry but if like in my case you walk with a stick there quite happy to carry the drinks tray to the tables. I would give the food 5 out of 5 personally,I live the fish,chips,mushy peas,bread and butter washed down with a lovely cup of tea. I would recommend this cafe to anyone for a meal out or a snack before doing their shopping.

Morrison's cafe is a very pleasant area to eat since it's refurbishment. The food is very tasty and very reasonably priced.

Over the years have used this cafe when shopping at the store.Its good for a nice basic no frills meal or a tea and sandwiches. In fact its the best thing at the store as I am no longer a big fan of Morrisons for shopping as its getting over developed round the store and becoming hard to park. Also the quality of fruit and vegetables is poor.So back to the cafe the meals are good value and not expensive, staff are mostly OK.Its quite good for disabled to and the staff will help disabled customers with getting there meals to the table.

I only stopped here for a sandwich and cup of tea while doing some shopping. The food was a decent quality and affordable. Meal deals are available for families with children and I also noticed that fish and chips with mushy peas appeared to be a popular choice.

Always clean, tidy and welcoming. Lots of choices; as most are freshly cooked there can be a short wait for excellent food from a humble bowl of porridge to a full-blown English breakfast. Staff are very helpful; children get free meal after 3pm if adults are eating, Comfortable bright and spacious seating area; high chairs, low chairs and soft settee seating. Be there when the Greek Cypriot lady is on duty; her smile and welcome are worth a million! Just what you need before a hectic weekend shop; free off-street parking, clean toilets, cash machines and a late night convenience store adjoining the Morrisons on-site petrol station (24 hours). Well worth a visit!
