I thought we’d turned a corner having visited on a Saturday a few weeks back to find different staff, but midweek is back to the same abysmal service. They have an automated system, and if you don’t use it, the staff will quite cheerfully ignore you standing at the counter for 10 minutes, even an elderly gentleman on crutches. After finally being served, we sat for a further 20 odd minutes waiting for the food, which was stone cold when it arrived. I say arrived, but it was practically thrown at us. I can’t even describe how awful the service is in this place during the week. Rude, incompetent staff.

Last time we went it was horrendous. Staff just ignoring customers at the counter, a queue a mile long, and our food stood on the shelf for 20 minutes before it was brought out. But my daughter likes going so we tried again. Wow, what a difference. New girl on the till (I think) and she was absolutely brilliant - kept the whole thing running so smoothly. What a turnaround!

We eat here maybe once a month & have done for years, we have always found the staff to be pleasant & polite, the food is of good quality & the value for money is excellent. If people are expecting a silver service experience they are clearly in the wrong place, if you want to feed your family for a very reasonable price then you are definitely in the right place.

Miserable staff, not that there is alot of them. A lady was waiting approx 15 minute for a person at the till, absolutely ridiculous! Dirty tables, everything on menu is always unavailable. People in kitchen having a natter. Rude staff and all look like they can't be asked. I'm disgraced!!

I went with my grandson and he ordered boiled egg and soldiers which was okay although the egg was a little hard. My breakfast on the otherhand was absolutely disgusting, the blackpudding was so hard I couldn't get the fork to stick in it, the sausages were cheap and nasty, the egg was snotty, the bacon was wet and slimy like it had been in water, the tomato was hard and almost raw, the hash browns had bits of mince from a burger stuck to the underside and the worst of all was the fried bread which was the end of the loaf and was dripping in what tasted like old oil ,not crispy just like a soggy sponge of grease. I can honestly say this was the worst breakfast I've ever had and recommend you don't order a breakfast her.

Went early morning for breakfast. Ordered a large breakfast, veggie breakfast and a kids breakfast. Lady on the till was very abrupt. I asked for a couple items to be taken off my breakfast but wasn't offered a substitute item (I have done at other Morrisons) so when my breakfast appeared it was sparse. I'd asked for poached egg and received a very greasy, over cooked fried egg instead. My beans were also dried out. I should have said something but the staff seemed to be struggling to cope (although it wasn't busy).We had additional family members join us 10 minutes after and their food took ages to arrive. We watched tables who had ordered after them get their breakfasts but nothing for our table.Left very disappointed.

50%off so expected 2 b busy but long wait to b seated lots empty dirty tables clearly not enough staff and ones that were there non stop, weren't told when ordered that wld b long wait which was over 40 mins however the food and portion sizes were good and a bargain price

if you want a good fish and chips of good quality go to morrison's Paignton by the Zoo - the service is good and the whole place has staff milling around keeping it clear of finished dishes and cleaning tables - it could not be easier to use the automated service to order saving cuing and finding cash.

We popped in for lunch. We were well looked after, food served with a smile, and amazingingly cooked food. It was well worth the tenner it cost for 2 great, wonderful meals and some hot chocolate. We waited for about 5 minutes, were served with a wonderful smile by a superb waitress. The food was hot, well coocked, and of the highest quality.Fantastic value.

We have never eaten here before but decided to give it a go. We had the fish n chips, steak pie with mash & garden peas & our daughter had spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread. The food was all very nice & hot & the portion size was good. 3 Main meals & drinks for only £10. Kids eat free after 3pm so it is excellent value. We will be eating here again.

I visited for the jumbo fish and chips. Which was huge. The staff were friendly and polite and my meal was excellent value. All in all a very pleasant experience!

Instead of Hotel breakfast we always choose a supermarket Breakfast. Morrissons of Paignton does nt disappoint. 3 of us chose Smalll breakfast. Plus pot of tea. Around a £5. Bacon Sausage egg had brown beans & toast is plenty. Unlike some supermarkets this is freshly cooked (apart from the sausages I suspect) & is fabulous value for money.

well what can i say The fish in the cafe is disgusting, you smell it from the carpark, at the checkout you smell it its a greasy dirty smell How the checkout assistants manage i will never know Gotta give this a miss again until it gets better

We had 4 full English breakfasts and drinks and it came to around £25 which is really good value for money and the food was lovely! Definitely recommend

Popped in the cafe as we often do when calling in Morrisons for some shopping , have to say the burgers are very good and you can double it up for a extra pound, ideal for a meal any time of day , we sometimes just call in for a bite if we can't be bothered going home and cooking something as it's local and cheap

I don't know how they do it for the money, they turn out great meals at a low cost and a friendly service as well

Están ofreciendo un almuerzo de Navidad de 3 platos por 7 libras, incluyendo una selección de entrantes, Turquía con todos los adornos (otras opciones disponibles) y selección de postres. Tomamos una sopa y un paté para 1 street - el paté era como una comida en sí misma, y luego una cena de pavo cada una. Cuando esté listo para su próximo curso sólo informar en el hasta y te traen. El budín que elegimos era un brownie con helado de crema, salsa y un montón de otras cosas. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Visitar el zoológico el Sábado sólo para encontrar que el restaurante está cerrado. Morrisons justo al otro lado de la carretera, así que pasó por almorzar. La mía era pollo tikka y esposa patatas fritas y macarrones con queso tenía lado papá tenía 3 Ensalada de salchichas y patatas fritas. Tuvimos que esperar 10 minutos, pero valió la pena. Toda la comida estaba caliente y sabrosa ensalada era enorme con naan pan tikka vino Allfor bajo 14 libras. Ganga regresaré de nuevo.

Esto debería conseguir 5 cada vez. El desayuno es delicioso y bien de precio. Gran zona refrigerada para comer. Ha sido re hecho. Wifi gratuito. Es genial, pero lo mejor es que los niños comen gratis en la noche con cualquier adulto. Les dan fruta. Bebida. Galletas y comida caliente. ¿Qué más se puede pedir. Así, dos adultos y dos niños comiendo con bebida entra a unos 10 libras. Personal amable.

asked at till 10.10am person on till said their would be 35 minute wait if we wanted any cooked meal, as they were short staffed, spoke to the manager who said they were not short staffed it was just busy, about 12 people in the restaurant, meal arrived at 10.58.

Cafe is clean and fresh looking and food is very reasonably priced with good choice. Had afternoon tea which includes a couple of sandwiches, cream cake and a pot of tea for £2.49 is a bargain. Lots of different offers in week..kids eat free ect

Hemos estado aquí un par de veces con mi compañero y disfruté cada vez. Comidas fantásticas por un muy buen precio. Recomiendo encarecidamente

pensarías que Morrisons habría realizado allí sólo puede ser prisa en a la hora del almuerzo. Claro que no. Tuvimos que esperar años, pero cuando llegué me dijeron que la salsa curry encargué sería por pronto. Casi 10 minutos más tarde, sin salsa de curry. Tuvimos que pedir.

OK, it's ok for a sandwich and a coffee, but dont bother with the cooked food. My fish was pale and the batter was completely loaded in fat, the mushy peas were nearly grey, my boyfriends hash browns could have broken his teeth. I started to feel slightly nauseous, so I left mostof my food. Also a lot of the clentele seem to consist of mannerless people, one old hag sat there blankly staring at me whilst mouth open, she masticated her food for all to see, yuk! Dirty beast. Plus there seemed to be a proliferation of old codgers who looked like they limited their hygeine to one a week.

I had lunch here a couple of times and it is very convenient and comfortable while shopping at Morrisons, and parking is no problem. Food quality and portions were acceptable. Overall it seemed a very good value. The menu is fairly limited for hot lunches but there is a nice selection of cold wrapped sandwiches and side items. Breakfast is available all the time.

Just returned fro a great week in Devon. Tried Sainsburys Café at Paignton for Breakfast, OK but then thought we would try Morrisons located next to Paignton Zoo. Bigger than Sainsburys, really lovely full English but also they do a healthier Granola, yoghurt and fresh fruit and it comes in a Sundae dish looking like and ice cream. Delicious. Will do variations on breakfasts for you. Gets busy at weekends. Although part of the store it had a nice atmosphere and the staff were lovely Big recommend.

Grey peas, overcooked fish, black specks all over the chips - oil definitely needed changing. Rude staff - asked for more napkins (none on the counter) to be told "ain't got none" - no attempt to offer an alternative. Not impressed. I know the food is cheap, but a smile costs nothing.

I had fish and chips it looked nice but the fish underneath the batter was very watery and had little taste or texture. Obviously frozen but still not great. Seats are far too small too!

Good value, basic grub, with a number of great special offers. Service can sometimes be a little slow, and the evening menu can be a little restricted, but overall worth a visit if you are on a budget.
