The computer ordering system is easy to use, although some things seem to be hidden in illogical places, but once you find them, it's easy enough. The food was freshly prepared and brought to the table by a friendly smiling young lady. The drinks machines are easy to use and the coffee is good. The prices are very reasonable. All in all a very satisfying breakfast. Thank you Morrisons.

Having eaten breakfast here before we decided to have a treat before our weekly shop. What a mistake! Luke warm food, greasy, and an almost raw mushroom & tomato half. Very disappointed as previously a good experience but will think twice before visiting again. Sorry to say Morrisons you were lacking on this occasion!

Abysmal service, hot drinks machine misfiring, ignorant staff with poor attitude and unwilling to help, go 2 coffees and left without paying or drinking them.

Not nice at all. Jacket potato came cold. The tuna that came with the jacket tasted like the brine it comes in. I ordered a specialty tea but they only had Tetley tea bags. There was barely any cutlery and had to ask twice. The teapots are disgusting and have limescale inside. Really bad selection of food as well. Food was edible not enjoyable. Will most definitely not be returning.

Dreadful, discusting! Table chairs and floor dirty,food all over floor,tables with dirty used pots on all over,No staff to be seen what so ever! The place is freezing cold! Use to be a thriving cafe always full two customers in at 2pm on Friday afternoon tells you it all!! Ordered a toastie it came it was cold,slopping cheese pouring out of it! Coffees cold, absolutely rubbish discusting never ever use again and will tell all friends family not to use it Dreadful cafe

One coffee machine gave out cold coffee and the other gave out basic coffee no matter what drink you sel2cted. Self service till is terrible. Staff are invisible. Use to come all the time pre Covid and was great, terrible now. Only gave 1 as scone was nice.

I have been to this cafe multiple time over the years and I’m sad to see the slow decline of food quality and portion sizes, hygiene and service. All whilst prices keep rising. Today’s visit will be the last. When we arrive the cafe was virtually empty except for a three tables. There was no staff on show. We had to order on the computer, easily enough however there was no receipts available nor cards with numbers on. We wasn’t certain if the order had even gone through at this point. We helped ourselves to drinks and still no one came out. We went to sit down and struggled to find a clutter free, wiped down table. I wiped ours with a dry napkin. We sat down and after about 20 minutes a member of staff finally appeared, as an elderly customer who had been waiting at the till for 10 minutes had spilt something all over the floor. I approached asking if they had received our meal order. She asked me what number we was, but we hadn’t been given one? I told her what our order was and she said it was cooking. About 5 minutes later a member of staff was wandering around with two boxes asking who had ordered take out. 10 mins later a member of staff approached us and asked us if we had ordered a take out. No we hadn’t. She then explained there had been a mix up and our food order had gone through as a take out. This is why it’s so important to have actual staff on the tills or front of house in cafes, so these mistakes are sorted straight away!!! I then sat thinking surely they are not going to bring out the 10 minute cold food they had been wandering around with. Yes they did!! The fish was broke in half with the now cold, soggy chips and peas just dumped on top. The skin on the fish was now cold and wet, as the peas had been dumped on top. It was inedible and I left it. My husbands breakfast was just as bad, but he was forced to eat it as he had taken medication and needed food. We didn’t complain. I think this Morrisons cafe is a bad reflection of their cafes. It’s neglected, understaffed, freezing cold and not like any other cafe in Morrisons I have been to. A bleak experience made worse by sloppy standards.

So the guy who was on the till was all by himself due to shortage of staff, he was amazing couldnt fault him, felt so sorry for him! He was running round like a mad man trying to keep up with everything & everyone’s orders & not even once did he snap or seem stressed! It ruined my experience as my need to help him kicked in & I had to offer to help tidy the tables! Poor guy deserves a pay rise or Morrisons need to sort their staffing out!!

Both hubby and me orderd our meals when they bought them to us at the table we was both feeling slightly hungry . They were both discusting and foul left to go shopping buy few bits . Never again it wasnt the best place to eat whatch what you have . Teapots were really dirty and stained yack

Firstly you have to order on a computer, When you find what you want and order it the computer decides to give you something totally different, then the food arrives obviously wrong as I ordered some toast and butter to go with my breakfast but got extra mushrooms???????, then I tucked in and found you get cheap ass sausages, flimsy bacon, rubbery black pudding, soggy fried bread and to top it off the extra mushrooms that were supposed to be toast were tasteless, ohh yeah and the toast which I had to pay again for came like stale bread that had been sat next to the toaster for a few seconds.

Called in for a coffee and scone, no scones. No one on till so had to do self service. Then where do you get a clean spoon from as everyone pulled from the cutlery stand were all dirty. Next problem was where do you sit as nearly all the tables were full of dirty pots awaiting collection. There was one poor woman trying her best but obviously more staff needed and it wasn’t even busy. Coffee was Luke warm. My husband had tea in what looked like a dirty tea pot, not even a wipe round to get rid of tea spills. Not to mention the floor!!!!! Certainly not going back, this is the worse place we’ve ever had coffee in the UK. Shame on you Morrisons Scunthorpe. It also says a lot about the standard of food coming out the kitchen when an employee ate only 2 chips then pushed the meal away. It looked disgusting.

Been today for the first time since lockdown,zero choice for vegetarian breakfast as the fryer was broken,obviously wont use a frying pan,so found staff after knocking at the kitchen door 10 mins after waiting for someone.Instead I ordered a large breakfast and some sides for myself instead of vegetarian. When it came,both breakfasts were cold,yet only 5 other people in the cafe,I had 1 toast,beans,egg and supposedly had paid for a portion of mushrooms.We both got 1 mushroom each,yes,1.Almost £12 for a cold breakfast,wont go there again.

Took my family for dinner It has really gone down hill since lockdown 2020 wont be going again, dirty tables, no staff, meals was just chucked on the plates no care give

Arrived yesterday morning with my family, ordered the large breakfast it came with fried bread I politely told the lady I dont like fried bread please could you toast that instead the lady insisted it would be an extra she couldnt toast it i had to buy toast if i wanted it toasting and the fried bread had to be kept fried🤣After a couple of minutes back and forth explaining I dont want extra toast just the bread that comes with my breakfast i want it toasted not of it fried not extra ...the lady made a big issue about it saying she couldn't do that this was confusing... why ?? In the end she said OK asif I was going to get it toasted instead of fried, my breakfast came with no bread at all not even the fried bread the lady was fighting me about 😳 i didnt want to make a big deal of it as we have had rudeness off this lady before, i believe it takes a certain type of person to be in a customer service job role his lady is not cut out for the job or should swap roles and be in the back kitchen were she won't upset anybody. Lovely food though !

Visited on Saturday 29th August, cafe half empty, absolutely no queue to enter cafe but told there was an hour wait for a table and a further 45mins waiting time for food, how ridiculous!!

I have visited a few times and have decided to write a review based on the poor service of my most recent visit to this cafe but unfortunately their seems to be a recurring theme which will stop me coming again.. Till staff are rude , more interested in having social chats with their colleagues then serving customers.. You can no longer substitute food I.e if you don't want fried bread its tough.. Also the last 3 weeks we're unable to have black pudding, poached eggs due to a gas problem... obviously not deemed important enough to fix.. to be quite honest go to weatherspoons , its a better experience...

Nice cafe. Cheap & cheerful. Good for a pit stop after doing weekly shopping. Teatime meals are good value - kids eat free.

Poor today. I appreciate it’s busy but a very slow till queue. No coffee cups. One coffee machine out of order. Over charged on cake offer!!

We visited here on Saturday lunchtime. The cafe had people in but wasn’t busy. We ordered scampi and chips and a jacket potato and had to wait 25 mins for them! The food itself, when it arrived, was edible- nothing spectacular but ok. The problem was the waiting time - just not acceptable from this kind of establishment. We will not be visiting again.

On a Sunday morning at 09:30 the doors opened to Morrisons Cafe. Everything was clean, tidy and in perfect order. What would I like? the lady was cheerful and certainly made my moring brighter, considering the heavy rain outside. We found a seat and waited maybe two minutes before our meals were served. The plates were perfectly laid out to ensure the eye told the brain that this would be good. Well the taste buds took over and proved my eyesight was good. Looking around it was easy to notice that all customers were happy and all staff were making sure they kept up a great pace to serve everyone in good time.

Enjoyed my breakfast. Toilets are disgusting though. Awful for a supermarket. Staff okay as well. You do get a lot of elderly customers for breakfast, so don’t expect haste.

Ordered at the entrance to cafe on the touch sceen but didn't order drink. Went to the till, sorted it and still got the teatime meal deal. Didn't take long for food to come about 10 mins chips & mushy pea were ok but the fish was really nice #recommend the fish. Got a pudding for £1 also nice.

the service was disgusting, i asked the waitress how long my meal is going to be and she spat in my face then proceeded to say 'f@@k off'. i then waited for around 25 minutes until my freezing cold below 0 meal came, i ordered a hot soup and got soup with ice in it for goodness sake. i asked if i could return it for a new one and they said 'no, we are not a bank' i then ran to my car in a hurry and started to write this review.

Full fat mega brekkie, very good but had to wait a while. I would use again - you need to self serve drinks after ordering via the touch screen.

Visited on a Monday afternoon about 2pm.The cafe was clean, tidy, and relatively quiet.We walked straight up to the counter, no queuing, and selected our drinks.Unfortunately,for my friend, there was no hot chocolate, we were told quite abruptly by a waitress.Plenty of seating available, and all the empty tables were cleared and clean.Drinks were standard quality, but did enjoy having a lot of tea rather than just a cup.

Dirty cups. Meals cold sent them back when returned luke warm I would not recommend this to anyone. Environmental health would have a field day there.

Called in coffee and sandwich had to ask for mugs told i had to wait 15 minutes for a clean mug has they were in dish washer looking round all tabels full of dirty pots so if the staff cleared them away we would not have to wait there is a notice saying please put trays in trolleys but where were the trolleys no where to been seen when i at last got 2 mugs i then had to ask for cream both tubs were empty. I only saw one member of staff working the others wre stood about trying to look busy i will not be returning

A long journey ahead so I needed a basic meal and ordered the Little Breakfast. The service was friendly and food was on the table in 10 mins.

Only called in for a drink and a sandwich but nevertheless was very nice. Quite busy but there only seemed to be one waitress on duty.

We popped in after i had done a run and i had a full breakfast and my other half had a omlette, slightly longer wait than usual but hot food, good service with a smile what more do you want :-)

I have been a couple of times in the past 6 months, both times I had the bacon sandwich, and both times they were luke warm at best, plus the second time the service was slow. Not good for such a simple dish.

Its a nice restaurant and if you have done your shopping and fancy treating yourself to a bite or two then its nice and staff are good.

Peak lunch-time service 1pm no-one on the till-same girl has to go for teapots/mugs & take orders to kitchen.Waited 20 mins for meals-food tasted good,but had cooled down as woman wandered around with uncovered food on a tray looking for our table number.

If you go to eat in a Supermarket don't expect Gourmet! Settle for simple yet wholesome food at excellent value prices! Cannot fault this one as all Morrison's Cafes.....

Not very good at all. The menu looks inviting but the service is slow and the food is poor when it arrives. I have given this place several chances but it is consistently bad.

Just a cafe for shoppers offering teas coffee very nice readymade sandwiches reasonable choice of foods of the menu selection of cakes too. Very good for children .

We were popping into Morrisons for a few bits in August, and was met by one of the stores greeters who offered us a free lunch in the cafe. I was a little bit skeptical (in my defence she was carrying a pad of raffle tickets at the time!) but apparently it's a 'Random Acts of Kindness' the store is doing. We had a lovely lunch, well worth the trip! Well done Morrisons!

This cafe has a range of food at reasonable prices to choose from and plenty of different deals to get even better value. Quick service and polite by the staff. Food as expected for a quick low price cafe

We have been here a couple of times never been overly impressed but it's local and convenient. We went on a Sunday roughly 11.00. I ordered a breakfast extra scrambeled egg and my partner. Poached egg on toast.

Llamado hoy para una comida, pero lo que ha ido mal con este lugar? Para empezar no hay bandejas limpias. Entonces, tratando de encontrar una mesa que no se aclaró. Si se me aclararon que no arrancadas y todo era pegajoso. Ni siquiera conseguir una cucharita de plástico sólo un pequeño agitador de revolver no lo suficiente líquido caliente hirviendo. No deberán ir aquí, cuando en Scunthorpe más comer en otro lugar.

Tuvimos que esperar más de 20 minutos para ser servido. Las teteras y tazas no estaban limpias. No es un lugar que recomendaría.

after the weekly shop popped in for a coffee not to bad for asupermarket ,décor nice in the style of a home kitchen.Goodfor a quick break.

We popped into Morrisons cafe for tea last week. We ordered 3 cooked meals and two puddings. To be told after waiting an hour that one of the puddings was no longer available after our order had already been taken. When our food finally arrived it was of a poor standard and we did not enjoy the lengthly wait or the food. This was very disappointing as we have had sandwiches from the cafe before and they have been nice.

Good choice on the menu. Not always hot as sometimes the food is under the heat lamps waiting to be served

This was a good option for a cheap and cheerful option late breakfast for two out of towners. Meat-free choice was good, with a Quorn sausage available. The wait for food was fine as the café was quite busy at the time. The server bringing the food was absolutely lovely; smiling and friendly. Food was a bit on the greasy side if I'm honest. The man pushing in front of me at the coffee machine was a personal low point of the trip.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Service wasn't great. Waited fifty minutes for food. It wasn't that great when it came either. Doubt we will go again in a hurry.

After doing a big supermarket shop with my sister in law and 2 year old Niece (who was getting hungry) we decided to have lunch in the Morrison's café , somewhere neither of us have eaten before. We'd checked the menu prior to going into the café and there was lots of meals to choose from at reasonable prices. The Sausage, Chips and Beans adult sized meal was on offer at just £3.00, and the prices for most adult meals was between £4.00-£5.00, with Childrens meals between £3.00-£3.50.The café was busy, but we got seated OK. We ordered the food at the tills and then just displayed our table number for the meals to be brought to us. The tables were cleared and clean. I've seen other people complaining in there reviews that tables weren't cleared, well, to be fair, they do have racks and ask people to put their used plates etc. on their trays and in these racks. During our time in the café, we only saw 3 staff members. One serving on the till, one filling up the snack bars and one bringing out meals and cleaning tables, so if people cleared their own tables, I'm sure that would help the staff a lot! I think they did well to do all they did on what staff they had!The food didn't take long to be brought out to us, I'd say about 10-15 minutes.The portion sizes were good, and the food was obviously good quality, particularly the meat. Personally, I wasn't too keen on the chips, but that was just my particular taste, and the beans with my nieces meals looked rather dried out, but her sausages looked very good quality. I had the beef burger and it was very nice. My sister in law had the chicken burger and she said hers was lovely too.I think it was exceptionally good value to get 3 adult sized meals and a large drink (we bought my Niece an adult portion as the children's sausage meal didn't come with the chips she wanted) for just £13! Children also eat here for free after 3pm on weekdays, so it makes it even better value!If I had one criticism of this café it would be some of the puddings they offer in the café are also offered on the supermarket shop floor but are quite a bit more expensive in the café (for example, the Gingerbread men at 65p in the shop, and £1.00 in the café) so if you're on a budget and want to keep costs to a minimum, perhaps buy these from the shop rather than the café. Overall, what we received here was what we generally expect to receive at Garden centres, but for half the price they would charge, so I shall definitely consider this as an alternative place to grab a quick lunch with friends in future!

Went in today for an emergency lunch ordered fish chips and beans place was fairly quiet but looked like an away day for the local help the aged bus, cafe wasn't very clean and lady on the till seemed very lack luster and wasn't particularly engaging she wasn't rude though just kinda "vacant" food arrived in reasonable time and presentation was fairly good, but the more I had of the fish the more peculiar smell I was picking up I deducted that the fish wasn't the freshest song just left it, by this time the place was busying up and I couldn't be bothered complaining to be honest which isn't like me at all, but simply life's to short, so I upped and left, got a trolley and did some shopping all in all not the best experience in the world I expected better from Morrison's

Morrisons have taken some bad press regarding food and service recently I have just called in for quick lunch and what a difference .....our food arrived really quickly and the waitress was friendly and chatty. The food was hot with no problems other than one small thing.... they charged for bread but forgot to bring it I went to the lady at the counter and she immediately gave me the 65p back ...this goes to show that places can change and do so often deserve another chance

Went to morrisons cafe today with my partner and wasn't too impressed, first we waited half a hour for our food and it wasn't even that busy , the drinks out of the hot drink machine wasn't that hot! I had gammon was ok but not great wouldn't have it again, the lady who brought out our food seemed very Mardy and miserable!

The cafe as just had a makeover and looks really nice, however it is very badly operated. I went in for a coffee and initially could not even find a cup or mug as it was self service.When I did find one and served myself I then had to contact a manager to get someone to serve me,In the meantime I counted 19 tables in the cafe that were all full of used crockery and cutlery from previous customers. No-one seemed bothered about clearing the mess up. The coffee itself was the most disgusting I have ever had the misfortune to buy and I had to leave it.It looked foul and tasted even worse.A shame a nice looking cafe is let down by inadequate and incompetent staffing

after shopping we decided to drop into the cafe for lunch, we all opted for jacket potatoes with various toppings & we're all pleased with our lunch. I had the 3 bean chilli as a topping & it was delicious. the food taste, quality & value was all better than expected!

my wife and I decided to have fish& chips at Morrisons cafe , big mistake, the fish was OK but the chips were cold and I have never seen mushy peas looking as bad. I can't believe that they had the nerve to serve this cold hard lump to anyone. We accepted a full refund. We did a bit of shopping in the store,one item bought was a box of English plums which we opened next day, every one was rotten these will be going back for refund. We will not be shopping at Morrisons again.

Usual Morrisons good food,hard to beat for the price.We had two breakfasts and left full up as the portions were ample.

handy to nip in for a meal if you are shopping.meals are decent and fill a gap.they are warm too. don`t expect a gourmet meal.

Extremely helpful with the trays as I was pushing the wheelchair and showed us to the tables which facilitated wheelchairs. Very pleasant staff and the food was well cooked.

A good clean place to call for some food, quite good service. I do think the breakfast plates are getting smaller to make the portions look better though for the same price.

It was in walking distance of the hotel even with using my walking frame, although it would be easier for able bodied persons to climb over the fence. The food was good value for money. Had good customer service and a friendly environment.

I noted that an automated coffee dispensing machine continued to dispense milk after the customer in front moved on from using it. The young lady employee did not reply to my statement but applied some napkins to the offending spout until the milk stopped. I then pressed the button for a 'cappuccino' and nothing happened despite the information window on the machine registering 'ready.' The lady behind me stated that perhaps the machine was not working properly. I then enquired of the young lady, 'Is this machine working or not?' My enquiry was responded to by the phrase ' Drop the attitude!' I was shocked as was the lady behind me. the young lady then proceeded to busy herself with the machine and its milk supply and engaged in a monologue about how unreliable the machine was. I asked her politely and calmly to explain her comment to me and she simply ignored me. I paid for my copy and breakfast, saying thanking her for my change. I then called a manager who spoke to me at the customer services desk. He was the deputy manager. I explained my experience and he accompanied me back to the restaurant but went off to speak to the employee without asking me her name or her description. I ate my breakfast and waited for him to return to explain what he had done or at least offer some explanation. He did not. The young lady continued to serve at the counter and I do not know whether he identified her, spoke with her or not. I left since no-one was going to speak to me further.I have never been accused by anyone for 'having an attitude' under any circumstances and this from a career at the highest level in senior leadership and management. I was polite and not aggressive. I simply wanted to know how the employee had judged me to have 'an attitude' and about what? I was also paying for the privilege of being so diagnosed.There is certainly a training issue for front-line staff at this store in how they deal with customers and one for senior managers in how they deal with complaints. In a time when large supermarket chains are experiencing losses in profits and closing outlets, I would have thought that even the smallest contribution to retail sales from loyal customers may be more valued than before.
