The staff are like the crew of the Titanic, trying to stay calm while all about them sinks into the murky depths of a saturated Sutton. They are almost always very helpful and seem very much like professional musicians asked to play a concert using Bontempi children's organs and penny whistles. I salute you all - and the cheery Security guards who are there Monday - Friday. Take your wellies, or better yet a lifeboat, if you visit when it rains. A landmark of Sutton - or perhaps a relic?

No staff at counter when we arrived. Brunch: Egg overcooked and deep fried and dripping with fat, Bacon half cooked, tomato cold and to cap it all the cutlery was greasy. DONT GO THERE!!! There are plenty of cafes in the High Street where you will get better food cooked properly and a better service.

The café is cold ,staff unhappy A couple of the staff rude Food comes out cold Now you only get one sauce sachet per Meal I had sampi, chips and peas Asked for 2 tomato sauce And got told I could only have one By Tracey If you want anymore you have to pay Will not be going back I have give the cafe ,so many chances

The most needed of improvement in supermarkets on Sutton High Street. If I could give zero stars believe me I would! The staff are just utter miserable and unhelpful. Don’t ever ask them a question about a product or its location and the face you will get for asking such an “reasonable” question is enough to make the weather change. As for the security guards (well one in particular that works in the evenings - think he goes by the name Sadu? Is more obsessed with carrier bags that customers have already bought via the bag for life scheme then he does of shoplifters themselves! Meanwhile booze and high value items are being robbed left right and centre, it beggers belief how their mind works in terms of priorities. The amount of unnecessary carriers I have had to pay for because he won’t let me leave until I have scanned it even though I tell him 100 times that these bags are replacements NOT brand new ones! A carrier bag will not last forever they are cheap plastic? So all this does is make me have to keep reattending the store when he is not on shift to get the refunds for the bags. Pointless if you ask me when he knows this! If you visit Asda or even Lidl down the bottom of the high street you will find they leave you alone without harassment. This guard has now had 2 official complaints made to his agency for undue harassment. The food selection is pretty basic, hardly anything to be excited about, the freezers are always freezing over often resulting in them being out if use, There better places to shop especially with the cost of living crisis, you will find better value and selections elsewhere!

Today I visited Morrisons cafe with my children. We ordered pizza. It was the worst pizza we've ever tasted. The mushrooms and the ham were not cooked properly and it made me and my daughter feel sick immediately. I returned the pizza stating the contents are raw and they just said sorry and left. We have decided to never visit this nasty cafe ever.

For those who don't live in the UK, Morrrisons is a big chain of supermarkets where they a cafeteria at the bigger branches. I visited the cafe at Morrisons in Sutton after lockdown when a limited menu was offered. The cafe was not in its usual glory but we stopped by for some tea. It was definitely a good experience because I love tea and it is always better dining out. Overall, everything was satisfactory.

Picked up the new take away afternoon tea. Wasn't sure what to expect. Was great!! Super value an a pleasant change. Well done Morris ons!!

Hidden away of the high st. Always fresh cooked. Thus service appears to be a little slow. But well worth the wait. Also excellent value

I visited the cafe three times over two weeks and was very disappointed.On all occasions the first three or four food options weren't available, one of which I was told have been off for three weeks because of no deliveries and cafe staff can no longer purchase items in the shop any longer.Also things like orange juice wasn't available, problem with one of the coffee machines and a shortage of large paper cups.When you do order food expect a very long wait till it arrives at your table.Don't waist your time here, there are plenty of other establishments within two / three minutes walking.

Great little cafe. Ordered two jacket potato meals and didn't have to wait too long. They weren't too expensive and were very filling. The young gentleman who served me at the till was lovely. Would definitely return.

Cheap, easy, school dinner style meals situated in the supermarket. British food by and large. Hangover suitable!

Perfectly cooked poached eggs, grilled toms, good veggie sausages, hash browns, beans, brown toast all for £4.00. Breakfast served up to 3.00 p.m. Restaurant was very busy but worth the quite lengthy wait for the food. Surroundings basic and reasonably clean given how busy the restaurant was. I'll go back

Stopped to get a breakfast/brunch with my mother. New menu board, we selected the Small Breakfast - sausage, bacon, egg, baked beans, half tomato and slice toast £3.75. Good breakfast nice and hot. Plenty of seating available when we were there 10.15am. We waited 15 minutes for it to arrive which is about right.

First impressions count and somewhat stick...Tables were not cleared and the floor was littered with food debris. Not that I wanted to anyway but I didn’t stay long; largely due to the coffee not being that hot in the first place. The cake I had looked nice which is why purchased it but sadly it was really dry and tasteless once you actually started to eat it, I didn’t bother finishing it as it was that unappetising.I know the prices are reasonable but that doesn’t excuse lukewarm drinks and stale cakes.I won’t bother going back, I’d sooner pay for something elsewhere that I can actually enjoy.

Staff are not very attentive and come across as rude. Prices are great but poor quality. Most of the time the food is served cold or with a defect. Definitely not a regular place to eat.

Well on a good day the food is acceptable. reasonable prices and the restaurant is on appearance clean and tidy as can be when full. But and the big But is, sometimes the service to tables is VERY VERY SLOW, and i have had an order arrive that both cold in the middle and pease were missing. (Fish chips and peas). staff appear to be run off their feet. they try their best to keep up up sadly they struggle. i would advise you choose wisely when visiting this shops restaurant, and be prepared for lengthy delays. so give yourself a lot of time if you can spare it.

My husband and I took our two children here for dinner for the first time. We got there about 5.15 and it wasn't busy. I ordered the kids and my husband's meals and then asks for mine (chicken burger) I asked if I could have some salad insead of chips and was told "sorry we don't have any salad"

Very slow service waited for more than 20 mins for our breakfast ,food was warm/cold , and tea coffee was warm .price is OK !!

I could see there was going to be a wait and with a train to catch as told 20 minutes which just fit my schedule. 45 minutes later, after one missed train and having to ask assistant where it was, my fish and chips arrived. Yes it was hot, but that's all I can say. Had to gulp it down so fast I couldn't afford to miss a second train and had to leave some of it. Stopped at customer services on way out to get store managers email. Couldn't find one. Old fashioned hand written letter on its way.

Quick and friendly service and great value. Good variety and well cooked. We will be back and also recommend to others.

This cafe is great for value, good with prices and caters to all ages. Got myself a cooked breakfast in here serval times now and really enjoyed. Grandparents also love the fish and chips and get on a regular basis. Thank you morrisons!

Pedimos una gran desayuno asumiendo llegó con té, equivocado. Pensamos que sería condimentos en mi mesa de uso gratuito. Equivocado. Pensamos que sería leche fresca para mi té. Equivocado. Este es un supermercado y estoy teniendo que abrir sobrecitos de salsa que tuve que pagar y tubitos de leche como líquido para mi té. Por el momento he hecho todo lo que mi desayuno estaba en el lado frío. Realmente Morrison. Cómo sobre placas de cubierta, condimentos gratis y leche fresca. No es como si fuera barato, después de todos los addons. Puede pensar en una docena de lugares que hacerlo mejor, debe hacerlo mejor. No sorprendió que estaba tranquilo. Comimos todo aunque todavía.

Morrisons do a good breakfast - nice quality food for a decent price - haven't had lunch here but defo recommend - good choice of breakfast menu

He estado trabajando en un corto papel a corto plazo y me sorprendió cómo completo el café es cada día! He pasado por un tocino buttie ssssshhhhhhh he de decir que es una muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Fuimos allí con el estómago vacío, así que decidimos tomar el desayuno antes de la gran tienda para afrontar toda la semana. Mi cuñada come aquí todo el tiempo con su compañero, así que ya sería bueno. No nos decepcionó. Muy sabroso y de gran valor que tenía un desayuno vegetariano que dio en el clavo. Muy sabrosa. Incluso ofrecen comidas gratis para niños, así que vale la pena revisar

Recently renovated,plenty of seating both soft lounge and wooden table and chairs (county kitchen style) service can be slow at busy shopping times but self serve quick and efficient,prices excellent value,good range of teas and coffees ,pastries and hot food

Distribuir de un amigo para tomar café y aunque había muchas mesas libres, todos ellos tenían los platos sucios. Las bandejas donde se supone que su distancia no cleae bandejas había sido vaciada, así que el lugar era un total desastre. No había platos para colocar un pastel, así que tuve que pedir que un empleado ocupado. Durante el tiempo que estuve allí, sólo los clientes. aclaro. Las mesas y no los empleados. Si resuelven el personal temas sería un lugar mucho mejor para comer!

La comida estaba fría cuando finalmente salieron a nosotros, los huevos revueltos era asquerosa, nunca jamás vamos allí para la comida! Cuesta demasiado para lo que nos dieron, muy mala

When going to eat or have a drink at a supermarket cafe you don't really have a good quality/high standard food provider in mind. It's very chaotic, I do feel for the staff as they are rushed off their feet and they are quite understaffed. The prices are low which reflects the dining experience provided. Overall if you must stop there to eat out of necessity then there's no harm done but I wouldn't personally recommend it. I do use Morrisons as my main supermarket for the food shop.

Stopped into the cafe for a full English, at the cashier lady told me that if order it will take at least 20min. Breakfast did come 30min later.... Coffee was very poor.

Great little place for quick lunch or breakfast, love the staffs there as they are very friendly and helpful, don't know why there is some negative reviews about this place, people forgetting that it's not a restaurant it's just a cafe inside the super market, been there yesterday with my son and spend £11 for a burger, kids pizza and cappuccino, absolute bargain

The layout has changed and the canteen style set of four chairs and a table all welded together has all but gone and been replaced by non matching (fashionable?) chairs and various table formats. The actual cafe space appears smaller but that could be the way the layout has almost three separate areas and also how the new salad area (which excels in both choice and value for money - particularly the meal deal).That said the cafe meal value is still pretty good and old favourites like the Fish n Chips and the Full English stand out! This appears to have kept its traditional client base but I did see another working young family so maybe the new makeover will win over a younger client base.. Wonders may never cease!Recomended

Did a bit of shopping in the newly refurbished store and decided to try the new style cafe. It's lovely, bright and spacious. I ordered an eggs benedict & pot of tea. The breakfast was bought to the table about 5 mins later and looked and tasted delicious. I will definitely visit here again & would recommend trying it out as there's lots of breakfast and meal choices and ideal for afternoon tea & cake too.

Very average warm breakfast when it eventually got here that is after a 21 minute wait! Coffee was luke warm from machine so was gone before breakfast even got to the table! Seriously wouldnt bother unless you have nowhere to go but be prepared for disappointment? Goodluck

A very convenient stop-off for shoppers or locals for lunch. Customers have the added bonus of a free car park on the site.Cafeteria style and sometimes a queue, but the staff are helpful at the till and bringing food to the table.There's a range of foods available, from small snacks to extensive lunch variations, with probably breakfasts being one of the more diverse and popular choices.Available for the latter are bacon butties, smaller plates, vegetarian options and,probably 'top of the shop' the full English Breakfast,, sufficient (and good quality) to satisfy the hungriest early shopper.For a 'cheap and cheerful' halt after shopping, it's certainly worth a try.

Easy to get to - stones throw of the Clock Tower, reasonably quick service, and the tea tastes good!

This cafe has the potential to be really good and would be very popular, the lighting is poor the service not much better, the food is hit and miss sometimes good other times not.It would appear that this is something Head Office has made the have and the local management aren't that bothered.Shame really as it has good footfall and great potential.

Me and my partner love the fish & chips from morrisons cafe. Have tried at several locations but morrisons cafe seems better than most.

Not too bad after a weekly shop. Not the BEST food but not the WORST. Not expensive but not cheap. I really don't mind it at all.

My expectations were not overly high when queueing here but I was wrong. There was a good choice of food and drinks available. I liked all the items having the calorie value on them (some people may not like that!!). The children's selection was good and great to have refillable soft drinks. Would definately return

Morrisons is great value for money.I agree with what the previous reviewer said, it's hardly 'cool' and it to be honest not somewhere you see young people but it is cheap, me and my little boy often eat here, there's a good menu and after 4pm with an adult meal kids eat free.Don't usually wait long for food& staff are generally good.Would defo recommend if you fancy a cheap, nice lunch :)

This is not a venue where you come to be seen, young families are rare, in fact young people are rare (if you exclude the staff:-).. So am not surprised that the typical trip advisor has not visited. We spend on average £15 on our breakfast which usually includes a pot of tea and a cappuccino together with two main meals (full english and a flying start where i exchange the fried bread for normal toast) plus sausages and scrambled eggs for the kids plus a bottle of water for hem to share. So GREAT value, the sausages look like a Walls equivalent but taste considerably better than they look (i would buy them if i knew where to, it would seem the caterers source them separately?). The toast is the main variable, sometimes you get two triangles sometimes one, sometimes just right but they can burn them (but they will take it back and return with a smile).We have had lunch here before and must say that the battered fish is excellent, akin to any good chippy.. Crisp batter with succulent fish, i would recommend it for lunch!!Most seats are fixed and not geared towards a family of five, but there are two tables at the back that when we go early are free or we can use a 'kids chair' on the end of a four berth.The wait for food is not long 10-15 minutes rarely longer and allows for a quick shop. The two hours free parking on offer is plenty unless you watt to do a full shop, so take care there.If you can get passed the stigma, you will enjoy a good old fashioned breakfast (or fish supper) and marvel at how cheap it was!
