Morrisons Cafe in Swale

Visited this week as i was getting some shopping and decided to have lunch with my granddaughter. Asked for baked potato firstly, no baked potatoes, then asked for spicy chicken burger not available either. Finally ordered fishfinger roll with chips and a kids chicken nuggets. Food that came was good but why have a full menu out when so many item’s aren’t available. Lot’s of tables with empty plates and rubbish on them but there only appeared to be 2 members of staff on duty. It honestly seems as if nobody cares about the standards in this cafe anymore. Food not available (it’s a supermarket), staff thin on the ground and dirty crockery on tables. And there is always one of the drinks machines not working.

I’ve finally had enough of this cafe they’ve never hardly got any of their items on their menu. Asked for the roast chicken today and needed up with chicken and chips with coleslaw witch I’m allergic to mayonnaise. The chicken was as dry as dry could be. Getting fed up with this restaurant. Don’t bother coming here if you want a healthy meal

We are there weekly and the food has gone downhill and it really isn't worth the visit, they very rarely have the food in that's on the menu and if they have it's over burn't dry and very small,no taste and they shouldn't even call themselves a cafe. Over priced rubbish.

I went to get some milk I went to use the toilet both ladies and gents were shut so had to use disabled toilet the person Infront of me had to get toilet paper it was 11am the other toilets were closed for cleaning the store opened at ten Which is bad they should done and all open

20 minute wait, mid-morning and only two people working and then when the food finally arrives it has overcooked eggs because it has sat under the heat but ironically the beans are cold??? Bacon is cheap as are the sausages and you would think as this is a cafe within the store that supposedly sells quality food why not cook some and sell it to your customers....

Despite some poor reviews I actually had a very nice lunch. Food was good and hot. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.

Have been here several times for breakfast and lunches and it’s not a good experience, have ceased to go anymore. Last time was in November whereby it took an age to have brought to the table. I just get the impression it’s cooked/ heated up by people that don’t know their food. Scolding hot pies, Sticky mash, watery peas, hot/cold stew, not sure how that happens! and a chocolate machine that appeared to never work, certainly when Ive been there. Breakfasts, well, I could take them or leave them. Cheap sliced bread with a slice of fried bread too and some hash browns to help bulk out it’s size isn’t nice to eat, combined with hard fried eggs and watery soft bacon. Sheerness store has same problem, but is worst as no clean tables and waiting times of 30 mins for food as no staff.

My partner and I had a snack here on 1 November 2018. Basically, the café was dirty. There were plenty of free tables, but almost all still had dirty crockery etc. from previous customers. The floor didn't appear to have been swept for days. The racks for customers to return their trays to were nowhere to be seen. There was one member of staff trying to take cash at the till, stock the various supply points and deal with the various customer complaints that became self-perpetuating! We will not be going there again.

always hot and fresh the poach eggs are a negative though always hard the hot chocolate is really good and stays hot thoughout your meal

Visited for a quick snack while shopping went for the bacon and cheese panini. Plastic cheese undercooked bacon with its fat hanging out, don’t have to say anymore, title says it all

We have visited this cafe many times, the breakfasts are lovely but on 2 occasions I tried to order the ‘build a salad’ option to be told on both occasions that they don’t serve it there. The first time the cafe manager ended up dealing with me and was brilliant (Sandra?) telling me they most certainly do serve this dish and then she made sure I received the most delicious chicken Caesar salad (pic inc) with much apologies. The 2nd time I just got a lot of attitude from the lady at the till (Ann?) who insisted they didn’t serve that option and tbh I just gave up and ordered a breakfast.

I have been to several supermarket cafes and this is the absolute worst. The service is mostly shoddy, quite often there are no cups for the hot drinks, it takes at least 5 minutes to get through a short queue of diners just because the staff are so slow, food takes a ridiculously long time to arrive and isn’t even nice, plenty of dirty uncleared tables. Avoid unless you really have to stop in.

Got to say it was horrible ordered a big breakfast with black pudding then about 15minutes later a member of staff came out to say they had no black pudding so settled for extra sausage and the she starts slagging of the cafe manager saying she has no clue how to run the cafe when the said breakfast arrived some of it was cold over cooked mess will not be coming back here and would not even give it a 1 out of 10 needs more staff where you make your hot drinks was a right mess no milk sticks just a large carton of warm milk tables did not even look like they had been cleaned staff not very helpful I would say.would think a big player in the retail trade would at least get a little thing like this sorted and it was not even busy only six tables being used Morrison’s please get it sorted you sheppey branch is much better when I tried to get the managers attention she just ignored me or tryed not to look my way sad to say I won’t be back

Food was ok but no spoons or forks had to wait a while to get some.staff friendly but rushed off there feet I think they should also stir cuttlery with handles up So people touch the bit that you eat out of normaly better service

You get what you pay for cheap supermarket cafe food service not bad staff rushed of there feet with little help tables needed clearing no cutlery in trays

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a full meal in itself. Can't say about the main meals but the breakfast is a must. Tea at £1 for a pot that gives you two large mugs of tea

Really enjoyed the breakfasts, freshly prepared, good value. Nice restaurant, good service and drinks.

I previously reviewed this cafe and was so right when I said should have stuck with breakfast!!! Big breakfast was very good, it came hot and well cooked, very impressed. I will stick with brekkie in future!!

Pechuga de pollo era tan dura que no podía cortar así que tuve que enviar de regreso. Yo no podría llevar a tener el mismo nuevo pedido chaqueta y la ensalada y como eso es mucho más barato que una comida creo que podría ofrecer dinero o lo que sea, pero no. Las mesas estaban cubiertas de bandejas, etc. y sólo 3 que trabajaba en servir, cocinar, lavar, etc. Necesitamos más personal para hacer este trabajo. Me pusieron justo a regresar por desgracia

Hemos tenido el pescado y patatas fritas de muchos para llevar, pero decidimos ir a la cafetería Morrison's, y me alegro mucho de haberlo hecho. Las porciones eran generosas y el pescado era maravilloso. El único problema que tuve fue que el café estaba ligeramente aromatizada agua caliente. La máquina de café parecía tener acabado de frijoles, y nadie hizo nada, incluso cuando la gente comentarlo. El personal en general muy amable, pero tardó años para alguien a quien servir. No tengo el café, pero disfruta de la comida.

Para comer un bocado mientras que las tiendas, es ideal. La comida ordenados tardó 45 minutos en llegar a nosotros, lo cual fue una pena. La comida era buena y paquete de almuerzo una buena relación calidad-precio

A very good restaurant ,always clean, helpful staff if anything is needed. Ideal to eat and shop afterwards.

this place is crap the staff need to be re trained and the food needs to be cooked i would NOT come back even if they paid me

The large store has a café with a range of hot meals, including a new offering - cheese omelette with or without bacon, for £4.50. I also took an apple pie but the advertised cream was nowhere in sight. Staff scoured everywhere for some plastic cups for his orange juice, but I missed the longer queue later. The meal took 20 minutes to arrive, as there were quite a few hot meal orders before noon. and here they are given at the till not earlier in the process.

Visited for lunch, varied menu all items sounding promising. I decided on the steak pie with mash, I wish I had stuck with breakfast!!! When served it didn't look in the latest bit appetising, dumped on the plate. The waiter brought my gravy which was served in a coffee mug!!!!!!! I searched foe more than a few minutes to find clean knives & forks, they ought to clean out the trays where they are kept also. However the food was hot even though I didn't eat much of it. The staff were great, polite and helpful. But I will not be eating here again.I found Morrisons on the Island cleaner and better.

Stopped here with my Good Lady for a quick-bite before returning home after attending a business meeting, and I have to say we were really impressed! We had the "Make your own Burger" deal, and quite frankly, McDonalds & Burger King could learn a few things from this establishment - namely, how to make a Burger that is actually tasty!!!Friendly Staff (our till lady was going to Cornwall next day to live) comfy seats and good service make this café a winner in our opinion.
