Morrison's cafe in Mendip

Avoid at all costs, waited over 45 minutes for a simple breakfast that was cold and inedible when it arrives. Staff rude, no apology and utterly disgusting.

This not a criticism I had the large breakfast it will blow your cholesterol levels and your waist size. 3 sausages bacon field mushrooms baked beans scrambled eggs fried bread hash browns tomatoes and black pudding mmmmm My other half was more restrained with the small breakfast all was tasty well presented totally unhealthy but was enjoyed by us both at a fair price

Good supermarket as always with Morrisons 3 hour free parking which is very handy as it's close to the town centre. On the downside the toilets are an utter disgrace dirty and disgustingly smelly so much so you have to hold your breath

We stopped off for lunch and the staff were so helpful and willing to give us the roast even though we were 8 minutes late. Anita, Ben and Gail, thank you very much!

We called into the cafe for a snack and were surprised at the selection and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy and we did notice that the staff preparing food had all their hair covered. Small cream tea was only £2.99 and was two small sandwiches, a scone with jam and cream, and a pot of tea. Not large but well worth the price.

Stood at till 10 mins. Totally ignored despite 2 members of staff talking and cooking. The food is usually good but staff rude. The cafe only had one table to cook for there was no need to make me wait at the till, with my coffee going cold and stewed tea. I did not stay. I would just say this is not the first time either.

Omg it was absolutely disgusting in there there were people smoking and it was very untidy in there probably not coming back

Went in couple times this week ..last time very very terrible ...the staff just dont have a clue what they are doing...no cutlery,no clean tables,orders wrong ,no cups use paper ones ??they weren't terribly busy but to be honest it was awful ...waited good 45 mins for food and chips were cold .. went in again today for coffee while shopping just the same !!!people sending food back ,,no cutlery again ,,apparently the dishwasher was on ???people waiting for ages for the smallest thing ...I think they need a manager in there that has some catering experience

Took over 20 mins to get 3 sausage baps to takeaway. Couldn’t have with a hot drink as they didn’t have the cups, but it’s not (their) fault that they haven’t come in ! (They)’ve ordered them !! Top tip : don’t advertise the takeaway deals if you can’t fulfil them !! Initially no-one on the till for quite a while. Then someone came to operate who didn’t really seem very confident on it. Took nearly 7 minutes to serve one customer !! After ordering it was 10 minutes before I got our order. Seriously ! How long does it take to put 2 sausages in a roll ?? There were at least 4 staff on, and it wasn’t busy. There was no urgency. No passion. No communication. No organization.... I could go on.... If you don’t want the jobs guys, there are thousands of people looking for work right now. Let them have it !

I visited today with my wife. My order was taken by a pleasant lady. After an hour we complained about the wait for our food as people who order after us were being served with their food. After a while we were told that our order had not been cooked but it would be if we were prepared to wait a bit longer. We were offered a free sweet but refused. Our visit lasted nearly 1.5 hours for 2 cooked breakfasts. We were led to believe only 2 staff were working in the cafe. The tables weren’t being cleared or the tray trolley. Please look at the photo & decide if this is a desirable place to eat. Morrisons have spent 2 million doing up the store last year but can’t afford to have enough staff to run a hygienic cafe.

We visited for breakfast and was very pleasantly surprised by the ammount of choice and price, perfectly cooked and presented, excellent value

we are very fed up with coming to the Morrisons cafe for a veggie breakfast and you always seem to have run out of Veggie sausages - you have loads of them in your supermarket. if its not that there is always such a long wait, or something goes wrong. We come because you are fairly priced and if you do get it right its fairly good, but are reluctant to waste our time trying lately. Sort out your stock control and service

Just like all supermarkets, very loyal and polite staff, all food is in excellent condition, ideal place to go when you are doing your Saturday shopping.

The food not quite as good as yeovil, but far more pleasant to sit, chairs were much comfortable, and atmosphere was much warmer

Service has been poor the last three time I have been for breakfast. Staff have been rude on occasion. Sat for an hour waiting and on all three occasions the orders have been wrong.

Nice selection on the breakfast menu & value for money. Vegetarian selection was good. Although the staff forgot to put the vegetarian sausage & baked beans on my order. But was plenty anyway for me with what I did get. Eggs Benedict was nice. With generous amount of the sauce served on top.

Nice clean eating area, friendly staff. Good Breakfast they were out of quorn sausages so offered extra items for the two people in out party who were having the veggie breakfast. Service was quick and food was hot.. The cafe was closing on the 19th May for refurbishment

Went to the cafe again today for lunch with family, but really wish i hadn't, the state of the place!!!! Dirty tables, dirty plates everywhere that were sat there for the whole time we were there, overflowing bins and rubbish on the floor, they can't blame it on the refurb, because this was like this months ago. Members of staff standing around chatting, were fully aware of the mess and looking straight at it, but did nothing, something has to be done before someone gets sick, surprised environmental health haven't been called in. The food was nice but who wants to eat on a dirty table surrounded by plates that have been sat there for ages. The place is an absolute joke. Just look at the pics, they don't lie. Sort it out morrisons!!!!

purposely went to Morrisons for dinner rather than Sainsbury's when we got there they were not serving hot food due to a lack of staff, how poor, Glastonbury store always short on staff what a letdown

We went to the cafe today for lunch, and was absolutely disgusted, dirty tables, uncleared plates etc from previous diners, and rubbish everywhere. this is not the first time either. I went to the till to order, and waited nearly 10 minutes before someone came to take my order, despite other members of staff walking past, not even acknowledging me, there were other customers behind me who were having trouble with the drinks machines, commenting on how everything was running out. who weren't too impressed either. there was a lady at another table, wiping it down, but she was a customer!!!!. Aswell as another customer, drying off a table that staff had wiped down, badly might i add, and left ringing wet. Other members of staff were overheard by myself saying "Some people have no respect". Clearly other customers heard this too. Ironically there was a member of the morrisons' cleaning team, wiping something down, maybe he could have done a better job of cleaning the restaurant too. The cafe was clearly understaffed.

Called in for a brunch on Monday 29th October 2018. We were unlucky enough to pick a time when there was a longish queue to be served at the counter. However, in spite of the apparent shortage of staff, the queue was handled efficiently in good humour.

This is after all a supermarket with a cafe. it is, though, very good. the staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is well served and hot. Great value for breakfast. \good selection of teas and other drinks. plenty of room and easy parking.

I had to wait twenty minutes for a bacon roll. It was tasty enough but very small. The lady serving me was very polite though.

We have only ever eaten breakfast here, but can recommend it. There is a vegetarian breakfast option.

Enjoyed my visit to this store. Cafe nice, good choice of hot and cold foods. Staff helpful. Easy to park and had a nice wonder round the store after my meal.

This is possibly the cheapest place to get breakfast in Glastonbury, but it is pretty ok, if all you want to to set yourself up for the day.

Over several years the quality of this cafe has had its ups and downs. It's now in a down.

If you can get in as this place gets very busy around lunch time so you will have to wait but food and service is very good

We ate here as caught out and hungry whilst visiting the town. Great family deal of a free meal after 3 for children. We had the fish and chips, fish was very nice but chips were dry. Great the sauces are free. Children's meal was very disappointing, very unloved.

I always call into here when I am in Glastonbury, the food is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Lots of specials or two for ones so easy on the pocket if your on a budget. quality eats for pocket money prices.

I struggled to find anywhere open on Glastonbury before 9:00. The only place seemed to be Morrison's and it is a very nice breakfast too. I'm not sure why other places can't open earlier.

High standard basic food and snacks. Good choices of main courses and lots if drinks! Very friendly for children.

A good place to eat on a budget in the early evening, when there are very few places left open in Glastonbury. Excellent value... try the bread and butter pudding, or lambshanks. You can eat a nourishing meal here for just over a fiver. And they have fresh coffee too. Where local families come for a good value meal!

I end up here at least once a week. The staff now recognise me & are so friendly. They always take the time to chat. The food is always good too.

Good sized store that had everything i needed to buy for my trip home, plus I found it very easy to park after purchasing fuel in the large car park adjacent, and the meals I had this week in the cafe were delicious, and I was served by a well trained member of staff making it a very happy experience.

Well its good value, albeit ready meals type thing. But if you need sustenance after shopping its the place to go!

Good value for money when out shopping and need to rest ones feet. Very handy. Veggie breakfasts were good for supermarket cafe.. Willing to made alterations to basic menu for you.

Having tried many places in Glastonbury for food , we then tried Morrisons. I must say we were very pleasantly surprised. Good food, good service, clean, value or money. We wish our local Morrisons was as good as this!

Stayed at nearby Premier Inn. Local breakfast nearly £10 but ate freshly cooked hot breakfast here at Morrison's Supermarket at nearly half that price. Very good selection, pleasant staff, good value.

The breakfasts are very reasonable in fact good value. Nicely served and good quantity. Friendly staff. Clean and relaxed eating. WE shall eat here again. Recommended.

It is what it is, this is not for fine dining but for a quick snack, breakfast or a light meal then it does the job with incredibly low prices. I can actually be cheaper to buy food in the cafe rather than in the shop and cook it at home!

I love the food but the service here leaves much to be desired for sure if you want nice food on a budget and don't mind being spoken to like rubbish or treated badly then this is the place to go but if not then I'd give it a swerve the wells morrisons is a lot friendlier tbh

We nipped into the Morrisons cafe yesterday, what a Awfull dirty place, totally disorganised. Let's start with hardly any sandwiches on display a few dodgy looking cakes that looked liked they were last weeks left overs, then no trays, then no fresh milk for our tea, we paid and when the to the cutlery area, every piece was filly someone doesn't know how to use a dishwasher, we then looked for the milk after ourself and another 2 people tried to find it the assistant pointed to two white bowls about 6ft up on the stand, I picked it down and found about 10 UHT pots ? We then noticed the cups were also unwashed, so we went over to the hot water still and gave then some boiling water treatment, we then sat down at a uncleaned table next to your clearing station, omg we looked over at the station and it was filthy food waste every ware and it smelt

Morrisons are always child friendly, with a special menu for kids (and after 3 pm kids eat free!). No frills and what you see is what you get. Be wary of the syrup and artificial cream - bit of a chemical taste!
