Sunday breakfast, Had to send bacon sandwich back as it was so undercooked. Uneatable. Waitress wasn’t pleased but it was horrid. Next one was fine. Drinks- hot chocolate was watery. One drink machine not working. Not great really, service was quick.

Genuinely cannot believe a CAFE regularly has NO FISH. This is sadly true of this cafe When they have it it’s delicious but SO SO MANY TIMES we have been they have run out HOW ????? Give in won’t try again Tesco from now on

No fried bread, under cooked sausage, bread not toast, attitude from staff just for asking for more brown sauce, Never again, Back to weatherspoons next time, I'd rather pay parking in town for a decent breakfast.

Awful experience at Morrison's cafe in Shrewsbury today. Firstly the digital ordering system is confusing (even for me and I am tech savvy). I couldn't find a table number as per the ordering system's instructions. Coffee cups were dirty, cutlery tubs were dirty with litter in them and cutlery wasn't even available. Egg on toast eventually arrived and was cold, eggs were not fried correctly (still snotty on top) and served broken. No-one involved in catering should have served such amateurish food to a customer. The table was simply unhygienic - dirty from previous customers and not fit to eat food from. In summery, a truly unpleasant experience and I will make a point of recommending to anyone that they should not eat there. The last time I ate there was 20 years ago when it was staffed by humans and well cared for. I will not be eating there again. There are no excuses for such poor hygiene.

Appalling service, cafe almost empty. No staff to be found anywhere. Me and another customer used the 'self order/pay' system, we were supposed to pick up a table number but there were none. Food was uninspiring, coffee machine on the blink. Apart from a glimpse of the boy who brought the food there were no staff present and a few dissatisfied customers. Oh dear Morrisons...what's happened??

Wow what a disappointment. When you can find a clean table (seriously I struggled to find one and there was only 5 tables currently being used) There were no trays, teaspoons or staff. Waited 10 mins to order. When I ordered she never gave me a receipt or asked for my Morrisons card. The sausage sandwiches came within seconds of sitting down. Fab rolls, sausages Luke warm (Doubt they are doing the correct food hygiene temperature controls) If you want your butter spreading (see photo) good luck with that.When I saw a sign showing you get an extra 800 points for spending over£8 I went back to the till to explain but as I had paid cash (There's nothing I can do! I don't know why they don't ask) You can contact head office but without a receipt???? Seriously don't bother going. To Morrisons head office, sort your kitchen manager, because they seriously need some management.

Being a previous Morrisons customer in numerous other cafes, . But it appears that this cafe and its food is completely below the standard I expect. We has Fish and Chips the chips on all the meals we're cold and burnt / reheated . The fish was No more than battered coated - Small fish finger . Overall the staff were under pressure trying to do the service till and delivering food and cleaning away dishes .

Called in for lunch after being to the Sunday market. I fancied a Sunday lunch and asking a lady who was already eating a roast chicken dinner she told me not to bother having one as things were undercooked. I decided to have the fish and chips instead. There was no hot water to have a pot of tea, no mugs only paper ones for the coffee, no teaspoons or serviettes. when the meal came the chips looked as if they had been under the heat lamp for some time and included roast potatoes which were as hard as nails. I skied for mushy peas but they didn’t have any so I had garden pease instead. I have to say though the fish was absolutely delicious. I asked for Ellen to receive the crumpets but they did not have the jam to go with them! The staff seemed friendly but they seemed to be stressed out. Not the best experience.

Morrison's vegan breakfast sounded good value for money. However the whole place was very tired. Staff looked unhappy, and one was rude to a junior. The table was dirty, and the cutlery needed replacing. The food was slightly warm, mediocre, and (small point, I know) contained one small mushroom instead of the two flat mushrooms advertised. We would certainly not visit again, or recommend to anyone else.

Our food wasn't cooked, we wanted fish and chips couldn't have it as fryers didn't work, had all day breakfast it was horrible, cold even coffee was cold wouldn't go again

Went in for lunch nothing with chips available due to no fryers working , staff not very helpful didn't seem to know much , had to order a full English WOW everything only just warm and all undercooked even the latte from machine was barely warm , will not be eating there again .

I popped into Morrisons in Shrewsbury today as I wanted to buy another storage bench, I approached a member of staff who I presume was the manager? I just want to say he went above and beyond to find me a storage bench, at first he thought there was none left, so checked their warehouse and was even going to check other stores for me, but in the end one was found in the store. I just want to say thank you so much for all your help today, you went to so much trouble so that I could buy my storage bench, this gentleman is an absolute credit to Morrisons. If you are the stores manager they are lucky to have you. I really hope you get to read this review.

Tables and floor dirty. Sfaff dressed and sounded like chavs. Food was burnt and tasteless. Woman in petrol forecout was ill mannered and ignorant.

No complaints about the staff they were all friendly & helpful, however Im not sure exactly what happened but I was left to wait 40 minutes for my food, after half an hour I asked one of the staff how long food would be as i actually had to leave soon, she said she would get it for me soon as. I get the impression maybe the orders got muddled up or something, another 10 mins went by & as I was about to ask for a refund (as I had a taxi coming) my food was brought over. The staff were helpful in giving me a take away box so I could still eat it. The food was nice but not many chips considering I ordered the large fish & chips.

Ordered breakfast. Before I had sat down it arrived at table. The whole meal was cold. The mushrooms were swimming in fat. The toast was burnt on one side but no cooked on the other. The only item that was hot was my tea. The place used to be so busy but there was so many empty tables. The staff need to smile more but no wonder they don’t, it’s lost it’s appeal. Won’t return as in this day and age, u should be able to have hot food

This restaurant is nice and clean and good value for money with nice food its just a massive shame that the cleaning staff choose to clean the floors around your table whilst your eating instead of cleaning the empty tables and things and waiting for you to finish MORRISONS PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF THAT CLEAN TO LEAVE THE AREA AROUND CUSTOMERS WHILST THEY EAT than maybe it could be a 5 star experience

Went to morrisons cafe for a late lunch today along with 3 others. We all had the same thing,which was an all day brunch. The service was pretty fast, to begin with. Once our food had arrived, the waiter dumped our cutlery and our condiments (in packets) on to one of the party's face masks without giving her time to remove it. Which is extremely unhygienic. However we ignored this and carried on. Well.. My first mouthful put me off instantly. The mushrooms were stone cold. I then went on to try my baked beans.. Stone cold. I then took a bit out of my sausage,again, cold. The only thing hot on my plate were the chips. I complained to the 3 others I was with to find out there food was cold too. When we brought this issue up to the waiter, there was no apology or trying to rectify the situation He just took our plates and went to the kitchen. A member of the party then asked a waitress if we could be refunded, In which we waited about 20 minutes for that refund. There was no apology or any kind of professionalism shown by any of the staff this afternoon. Disgraceful. Maybe morrisons cafe needs to re train there staff? My first time dining there and definatly my last.

Having previously enjoyed many Morrisons breakfasts at a number of locations, including Aberystwyth, Welshpool, Caernarfon, Harwich and Penrith [which was brilliant], our experience at Shrewsbury was awful and it appeared that there was no supervision at all.There was only one till in operation despite a number of people in the queue and just when we were finally at the till, the staff member just got up and went through a glass door to chat to a colleague for about four or five minutes.After finally placing our order we went to dispense our tea and coffee and took our cutlery in search of a clean table. We eventually found one without dirty plates and cutlery on, but it was surrounded by dirty tables loaded with used crockery.Our breakfsat did arrive quickly and we were impressed until we discovered that most of it had obviously been cooked for some considerable time and just kept warm; the egg was like plastic [which we left] and the beans were cold as was the toast!After the waitress delivered our breakfast, she just walked back towards the kitchen area empty handed leaving all the surrounding tables in the same filthy condition.Sadly it was the worst breakfast experience we have ever had.

This cafe is going downhill badly. The tables are filthy and there is always countless plates left on tables and not cleared away. There's always something they've run out of which is remarkable given the fact they are a supermarket. I visited a few weeks ago and had an all day breakfast. When it arrived I was it was the best they could do because they'd run out of other items. So the plate was basically flooded with baked beans. One overcooked piece of bacon, I think there was supposed to be two. Horrible overcooked egg and fried bread that looked like it have been sitting in the deep fat fryer all night. No toast even though I'd ordered it.It always seems as if this place is understaffed and I cannot see any evidence of a manager. The people who serve you dump the food on your table and then stroll back to the kitchen empty-handed and leave dirty plates everywhere. Not one of the staff here could hold down a job in a regular cafe. Won't be going back ever and I have formally complained to Morrisons.

Absolutely appalled and disgusted Cafe in Morrison's Shrewsbury made an online complaint on Thursday still awaiting a response for someone to call me ???

We use Morrisons Cafe's quite a lot when travelling around and usually find they provide cheap and reasonable breakfasts. This time the food was lukewarm, they forgot my tomato (although this was provided quickly when pointed out). My wife had the smashed avacado with egg on toast which was ok. Not the best Morrisons we have visited.

Usual happy to reign in my expectations when eating at supermarket cafe's but this experience left me quite underwhelmed and quite firm in my resolve not to repeat again. Ordered the vegetarian breakfast but really received what was supposed to be a veggie breakfast in a bap, happy to pass over the mistake, as I say my expectations are naturally set to low but on trying to eat my unordered bap I found it quite impossible due you the over baked bap being quite inedible and to cap it as a slice of bacon in my veggie breaking, never again

stopped here for quick lunch as friends at work and its just opposite our friends house last friday, had a cheese burger and fries, whilst ok/very average, the cheese was just a slice of cold cheese and the bun a plain bun that would come in a pack of 12 for under £1, don't think i would bother again, but at over a fiver probably should have gone for the all day breakfast about the same price.

Called in for some shopping last Sunday and thought we would have a bit of lunch.We have not eaten here for at least 12 months due to previously had poor quality food and slow slow service due to a lack of staff.Morrisons assured us that these issues would be addressed.WRONG.It is still the same.We were served with at best warm food.Does nobody care any more.I left my chicken and chips because of the danger of food poisoning and my wife left her pie and mash because it was cold.The store manager said that they had a new manager who had received a lot of training but apparently it was her day off so any old rubbish is served to customers.Why do supermarkets not treat customers with respect when serving food.Do the managers of these stores have this type of food at home.Somehow I doubt it.If this rubbish was served to the directors of Morrisons things would change the next day.WHEN will things change,when a poor customer gets food poisoning and Morrisons are taken to court but not before.Take a look Morrisons,your cafes used to be busy but now with understaffing and dubious quality your cafes are empty.It is not only Shrewsbury Morrisons that are poor,Wellington is no better.STAND UP AND BE COUNTED MORRISONS.What you are providing is not good.The only good thing about our visit was a full refund without argument.

I have eaten Morrison’s breakfast all over the Uk, today, visited Morrison’s cafe in Shrewsbury, breakfast came crammed on a small plate, both eggs were broken but had a skin on the top, hash browns tasted as though they had been cooked for hours, bacon was over cooked and dry, total disappointment and possibly the worst Morrison’s breakfast I’ve ever had!!!

Understaffing is the issue here!! therefore long waiting times, wrong orders, tables dirty, food nothing special, do not recommend!!

Recently visited the cafe and was pleasantly surprised what good choice there was and the prices were fair. We will be going again just before shopping in the future.

I have just visited Morrisons for breakfast with my family and found the food and service to be excellent. The staff were very friendly and the food was served up quickly. We chose the big breakfast option and could find nothing to complain about. It was well cooked and the portions were very generous. Would definitely recommend it.

After trundling around Shrewsbury sight seeing, we popped into this little gem quite by chance. What you see is what you get. Great omelettes, delicious coffee and friendly service. Sandwiches and other meals coming out of the kitchen looked fresh and vey nicely presented.

Love this place for freshly cooked foods or sandwich meals and puds. Delicious coffee. Great for a good cheap meal.

Used to be the place to go for an ok breakfast,but not any more.My mushrooms swimming in fat and water,beyond edible poached eggs-my knife bounced off.Beans cold and so was most of it.Toast didnt turn up and neither did my husbands black pudding,although young guy who served us sorted this.In fact,poor lad looked run off his feet but was very helpful.Need more staff,as always seems the case with this place and probably won't return.

Decided to call in before our weekly shop. Unwelcoming and unhelpful staff. Terrible food. Very very quiet and yet not one single table had been cleared and cleaned. There was food all over the floor and tables. The food we received was beyond atrocious: I know it's cheap but you still expect something edible. I had the mash and it genuinely looked like it was weeks old we hard lumpy unidentified bits in it. I won't make the mistake of going again, I felt sick the entire way round the food shop but it did at least stop me buying too much food as is the trouble with shopping on an empty stomach.

Absolutely rubbish food,filthy around coffee and tea self service area,freezing food,and aircon makes worse,ordered brown toast got white,ordered extra white charged,but never got it,this place is a disgrace,the management should be fired,i wouldn't eat hete again if it was free

Worst breakfast to date. Ordered 2 large breakfasts. 2x hot chocolate drinks. Breakfast arrived with watery gloopy beans, of a scarce amount. Items were greasy and sausages were burnt. Mushrooms were swimming in water. Felt ill after eating the breakfast later that evening.

Firstly there were no trays ! Waited 46 mins for two plates freezing cold food delivered by a grumpy waitress, we took our food back to the kitchen, plates snatched from us , by the grumpy waitress! and told to go and sit down and they would bring different plates of food. We decided we didn’t want to chance another long wait and asked for our money back . Which we got from a more pleasant girl on the till. Will never go there again !

Had breakfast here before shopping in store. Poached eggs on toast with a slice of bacon. Eggs cooked perfectly and delicious bacon. No frills but great value and good food and service.

Wow! What a breakfast, such a bargain for a massive portion. The kids had a smaller version but all in all a generous amount of food on the table and sadly there were left overs. Sausages aren't top quality but it is just a supermarket cafe, we waited no more than 10 mins. Staff were friendly also. Will be returning before a day trip again!

Food was cold, tasteless and just not nice, you either need new staff or your current ones need retraining

I'll make this quick. Don't go if your planning to eat within an hour. There was hardly anyone in and it took nearly an hour to get my food. The staff just seem on a go slow. Eventually one of the staff noticed I'd been waiting ages and said I could help myself to another drink. This was nice and is the reason I'm rating 2 stars instead of 1. Othing wrong with food just so so so slow

Great place for cheap eats. This place is very popular and get very busy. So you have to be prepared to wait Sometimes 30 minutes for food is quite common.

Just came in for something to eat my husbands curry came without rice my girls soup was cold and didn’t have the white bread roll she ordered .we asked for the bread and rice . They brought her brown bread and butter we sent that back then got a brown bread roll . So gave up . After I had finished eating my husbands dinner was returned to him with a tiny amount of rice thrown on top of his curry. Also the fish and chips was luke warm . Omelet was hot though.This place used to be so good . Tesco’s next time I think

I’ve only been here twice in the last year. The food is below average but what’s unforgivable is I’ve had to sit and wait for 25 minutes for my one small breakfast. I will never come here again awful.

Was passing so stopped for breakfast as reasonably priced. First had a wait for the lady on the till to appear to order the food as was busy serving tables, maybe extra staff could help to reduce the que! Ordered food and went to get hot drinks but only one machine working which was very slow. The tables looked like they could do with a good wipe down. Didn't have wait too long for the food but not very impressive had better in other pubs and cafe for similar price. Coffee also not great quality and don't think I will be going back unless improvements made.

Visited here with my girlfriend for a quick bite to eat, was waiting to be served although the only ones in the queue and no staff to be seen. We both ordered the hunters chicken and when it arrived it was cold and the cheese was not even melted. Upon asking for our food to be heated we were told that they were unable to do so as they had no way of heating it? Steer clear of here, prison food probably tastes better.

All day Breakfast is very good however over the years the portions have got smaller whilst the price has increased only ever had one complaint the bacon though tasty does tend to be lukewarm at best

I had to conclude some tasks in Shrewsbury , as I write this there are roadworks everywhere in the town so found myself diverted up a road I do not usually use . I needed some groceries so seeing I was in the area I decided to use Morrison's supermarket on Whitchurch road . After completing my purchases , I smelled the food in the on site café so , seeing I had skipped breakfast , the wonderful aroma made my saliva glands to flow . The big breakfast was available until 3pm so I opted for that option , you pick up a mug for tea/coffee and also a teapot if you require tea. This combination cost me £5:50 and was well worth it , I asked for mushrooms instead of those awful frozen hash browns which was readily agreed too . I thoroughly enjoyed my late late breakfast and managed two full mugs of tea from the pot which contained a tea bag at source . I will certainly use this café again .

Went to Morrisons cafe with my father for breakfast before shopping. I ordered a ham and cheese panini and he ordered a big breakfast.

My wife used to shop at Tesco and I usually go to the cafe for a coffee and cake. However, following disappointment at Tesco's range and quality, has recently decided to try Morrisons.

Very good quality and price open all day the best in the Morrisson group ideal pre shop very clean efficient service also good rangs other foods special offers kids eat free

I went into the Café at Morrison's supermarket for a cup of coffee just after lunch. I noticed that they had an interesting range of sandwiches, including salmon and cucumber; my favourite and not readily available at many cafes.
