Morrisons in Cherwell

Thought we’d try the Sunday lunch. Chicken overcooked. Rock hard. Cauliflower cheese watery. Carrots and parsnips overcooked. Terrible. Won’t be back

Ordered pie. Not cooked but very quick in sorting it out. Offered free coffee thanks. Pie very good. Mushy peas nit so good. Trying to be halfway between garden and Mushy. It didn't work. One thing or the other please. Staff brilliant

ordered two full breakfast and got charge extra for the tomato sauce can you believe it. Challenged me grumpy on the till … it’s company policy 1 per customer

They serve roast chicken from 11.30 till 2pm. Went in to order a chicken roast to be told they are not doing any. Why advertise it if its not going to be available

On the positive side it was easy to use the order point. Although it was unable to provide a receipt. After that .... well where to begin! Only one coffee machine working- it was filthy. The other machine was apparently out of order for 'cleaning'. The coffee was not good at all .... not hot enough for a start! The tables which were unoccupied all had dirty plates and rubbish. We moved stuff from one table to another and that stuff wasn't cleared away from what I could see. We waited 20 minutes for our meals (all day breakfasts) and I had to go and ask if they actually had our order. Saw a member of staff carrying two breakfasts around the place shouting the table number (wasn't ours), before taking the plates back to the kitchen. Few minutes later they were brought out again and she called the number again (still not ours). She then brought the plates to us saying "you can have their food then". I said I hoped the food wasn't cold to which she replied that she had 'only just' brought it out - and walked off. Food was barely warm ... beans were congealed and cold. Plates were cold. Overall I was not happy, service slow and bordering on rude. Place felt dirty and uncared for. I definitely won't be back, and I definitely can't recommend it. Pity i can't give zero stars

Shockingly bad! No cutlery, I had to ask twice and finally got some. The station with the condiments was filthy and the cutlery containers empty. We managed to find a table that wasn’t covered in used plates etc but wasn’t cleaned (it was the best we could find). Staff don’t have a clue what they’re doing it would appear. A customer next to us had a tray of someone else’s dirty plates and cups on it. Her food was delivered and instead of the server taking it with him, it was just left! Unbelievable. Our food was delivered without so much as a word, no smile, just a blank face. Needless to say we won’t be back.

The lad on the till was clearly out of his depth, taking hours to process the orders. He made a mistake and had to ask 2 other staff members what to do, neither of whom were any more knowledgeable than he. No cutlery in the containers, no milk sachets, one coffee machine out of product, the fizzy drink dispenser out of order. The list goes on. Understaffed, poorly trained and under pressure, little wonder the food reflected this- it was tepid, on cold plates. Altogether a dismal experience, largely down to Morrisons not investing in staff training.

It was not busy but it took over half an hour to be served 2 plates of fish goujons and a bowl of soup.soup was ok can not really mess that up. But fish goujons and salad was terrible. Salad was just a bit lettuce and 2 small fish goujons not as pictured .. they were meant to be 4 large pieces of fish and a salad. When we mentioned it to staff who brought it to us all we got was 'enjoy your meal'. Customer service did not care just saying ' I think they are short staffed. That is not an excuse to short our meals. Will never go there again .

Poor service food cold half of breakfast over cooked the other half not cooked. Would have been better off not bothering

After visiting Morrison super market cafe in Banbury I came away thinking where on Earth was Heath and safety and managers ,they certainly weren't there,on entering the cafe there were no trays, ordered ticka with rice sorry no rice,so I ordered jacket potato with prawns sorry no prawn's, after ordering Mac cheese , I found no cutlery ,!! Or milk a small jug which every one had to use!! tried looking for a table but not one table was clear of dirty crockery , not just an odd cup or plate but piled up with old uneaten food, having moved and cleared, cleaned my table my maceroni cheese was delivered half portion with one piece of garlic bread on her serving try, the chips where cold,we were there for about one and a half hours and not one table was cleared ,it was not busy , needless to say I will not be returning,

As good as any Morrison I've ever been in, better than some and I've been in a few. Excellent parking.

I went a short time ago and no Hollandaise sauce for eggs Benedict.Now I asked for the light breakfast and only fried or scrambled eggs were available .The man on the till said the did not have enough staff to make them.I told them that Wetherspoons get in ready poached eggs to which he said yes we get batches in but they sell out very quickly.If you are the CEO Morrisons tender your resignation for the benefit of the shareholders !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stopped for lunch as we are moving here, so we thought we would try it out. We wanted fish, but all the fish was not available, the young lady behind the counter told me not even the shop had any fish, (even the steak & ale pie with chips was off !!!) but I doubt very much they will be using the same fish !! I opted for scampi & chips, the chips were OK, the scampi, one of the worst I have had, the pea's, COLD. My wife had jacket spud with prawns, she left half of it, it just was not great. The staff were friendly & helpful enough.

We shop on a regular basis at Morrison’s as we find their prices very competitive and quality own brands. Prior to shopping we have a Breakfast on occasions. The food is fair for the price although the coffee is not of a quality that we would want. The Big Daddy breakfast is value for money.

Had lunch here (unexpectedly) and ordered the new butternut squash and lentil lasagne. When the waitress brought it, she said I was the first person she had served with it. She came back later to ask what it was like - 4 layers of pasta with a very tasty sauce. I really enjoyed it and at only £5 is good value.

We ordered two big breakfasts and a pot of tea. The layout was very confusing as there was no easy signs to where the hot water was to fill your own tea pot. When some food came to us it wasn’t our order and the lady was persistent that it was ours, until we showed her our receipt. She then came back with our breakfasts and the bacon rolls she’d brought before, until another member of staff had to tell her it wasn’t ours. They then brought our ‘brown toast’ over which was pretty much white bread burnt. The fried bread was oily, sausages were basic mush, the mushrooms weren’t seasoned, the mushroom was also mush and both of our eggs weren’t cooked properly. On the plus side, their hash browns and bacon is half decent and the canned beans which aren’t their own!

Nice supermarket and nice cafe. Have some nice staff and good value food. Have a nice bread counter.

We decided to go lateish on a Friday. We had eaten there some time ago and wondered if it was still as good - it was. We both went for the lamb shank at £6 including a drink. My wife wanted chips rather than mash, which was no problem. To be honest the lamb was as good, if not better, than other places where I have been charged £15 or more. It was excellent. She then noticed two slices of chocolate gateau that had been reduced to £1 each. So, there we had a two course meal with drink for £7. I defy anyone to beat that. The best value in town.

We had breakfast here after staying at the Premier Inn. Prices have gone up recently with the revamp of the menu, but it's still good food at a good price. Fast service considering how busy it was!

This is a Morrisons supermarket but it does have a clean feel to it and there is some lovely salads at the salad bar. Fresh friut and meat is also good

Market cafe is inside morrisons supermarket.in banbury oxon.it opens at 8am.a nice spacious cafe with plenty of seats you pay for what you want.put your order in they give you a no that you display at your table and food is brought to your table once cooked.you help yourself to what ever drink you have ordered lots of choice hot and cold.also lots of other food on choice sandwiches etc.childrens meal also children eat free after three as long as adult buys meal .see notice inside cafe for details.there are some yummy sweets on offer too .plenty of free parking .prices are good breakfasts good too.set cooked breakfast .if like me you have allergies you can pick meal to suit you off menu items priced at 70p each e.g slice bacon .lots of choices to pick could give you a list but because of varied menu would run out if space.we like to do our shopping early this hot weather so we go there at 8am.have breakfast then go shopping.lots of young people with parent having breakfast on way to school .also come in early..dinners like lamb shanks .scampi .chicken .all good prices..well under a tenner.give it a try .spend as much or as little as you want .
