Morrisons in East Riding of Yorkshire

Every Tuesday for several weeks we have called in Morrisons in Anlaby for a lunch ,only to be informed that when arriving at the order desk ,we haven't any chicken or we haven't any jacket potatoes or we haven't any fish etc. Having spoken directly to the manageress , I suggested that the menu board displaying the meals should only indicate what they are able to provide . Little success with that suggestion ,all the same problems as usual . Many customers have the same complaints ,not the fault of the poor girls out front trying to assist with disappointed customers . Would suggest to higher management that have the ability to sort out the ongoing problems that something is done quickly to resolve this sad situation.

4.30 we turned up and there was no fish and chips and no meat pie meal we picked the lasagne as we were hungry and wanted something we were told it would be I hour wait, this is the fifth time we have eaten something we did not go for, there were so many problems with other people tonight, we have given Morrisons cafe plenty of chances but it has got worse so we are jumping ship before the cafe sinks and I don't think it will be long the way things are going

I went for breakfast on a Sunday morning with my mum. To start off with, I was unable to have a coffee as they didn't have any plant based milk, and the automatic machine the coffee came out of, was full of milk from cows, so even if they got plant based milk off the shop floor, I still couldn't have a coffee. I then ordered unbuttered toast with avocado, as I'm vegan (and didn't want the single vegan item on the menu.) This arrived looking terrible. In fact the worse presented avocado on toast I've ever had. But it got worse! The avocado had no seasoning at all, no salt, no lemon juice, literally just mushed up avocado in the middle of a slice of toast. BUT there was one other taste... The taste of the butter I'd specified I DID NOT want!!! I'd definitely recommend you stay away from morrisons cafés if you are vegan, and would only recommend it for omnivores if you have very low expectations when it comes to food.

Arrived at 230pm, lots of dirt tables with food on. Other customers struggling to get milk, mugs for their drinks. Ordered a steak pie meal. It arrived , the pastry was so hard I had to return it. This was due to it been under the warmer too long…. All of the pies were like this. I was offered a refund or some thing else. I said sausage, chips n beans. The chips were not good. One employee was working very hard (Hollie) the remaining staff just wandering with meals or messing in the kitchen- my table looked into to dish wash area.

Went for our lunch today most of the tables pilled up with plates etc .went to get a drink no clean cups or teaspoons had to clear our table so we could sit down . when the food came mine was warm johns fish goujons like bullets.staff far from helpful

Unbelievable scran. Benz on tost was outrageous. Never seen such perfectly toasted tost and heated beans. Think his name was James, wonderful human, very polite and courteous going out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed. Will definitely be back, as long as James is there!

This cafe has gone from a clean value for money cafe with something for everyone on the menu to a dirty over priced dump that has a choice of 5 main meals with half of them out of stock. Every table still has the leftovers from the last customer on them as well as food splashed up the seating and all over the floor. Do yourself a favour and stay away or go in the supermarket and buy a sandwhich and a bag of crisps.

Myself & my partner visited for breakfast last week. The girl told us it was an hour wait. Not sure if this was a tactic to stop people ordering the breakfast as it was not that busy & food was coming out regular. Anyways we decided to order & wait. We both had a breakfast but mine was vegetarian & I asked for no avocado or vegetarian sausages but not asked if I wanted them substituted. Also advised that they only had fried egg available when menu stars choice of scrambled, poached or fried. My partner had the big breakfast & asked for no tomato or mushroom again nothing substituted. My partner had a latte & I had tea. I was not asked if we had sugar, given no spoon to stir the tea. Then when I went to make the tea the teapot had no teabag in it. I went & told a member of staff who said she would be a min & go get me one. Our breakfast arrived before my teabag. Apparently they had run out & had to go into the shop to get some, this was early in the morning so very poor set up. The breakfast ingredients where obviously cheap & tasted it too. Poor service , poor cheap food & not clean looking at all. One staff member couldn’t even be bothered to iron his shirt !! Never again

We had our tea at Morrisons of Anlaby tonight, I had fish and chips and my husband had the all day brunch, both meals were absolutely delicious and plentiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful, a very enjoyable experience, well done Morrisons.

Decided to come here for their English breakfasts as part of the Dine out to help out promotion. There was little in the way of queue and our order was taken quickly and efficiently. The seating areas are all segregated using plastic screens which are subtlety done. The food came in good time and was very tasty. The sausages, bacon and eggs were all great. The only downside were the beans which looked a bit overdone. Value wise, the meal - regardless of the 50% the government were helping with - was excellent value for money. A great breakfast!

We ordered our food using the automated machine and the price of our three meals came up to a very reasonable price. The food arrived in good time and we all enjoyed our food, it was certainly worth the money. My sausage, eggs, chips and beans (currently on offer at £2.80) were delicious. Morrison’s offer free refills on tea but this offer is not really worth it as the teabags do not have the leaves in to make a refill actually make another cup of tea strong enough to drink. Condiments are free for those sauce lovers. This cafè can be hit and miss but today was certainly a hit.

Took grandkids who loved play area. Food is traditional and plentiful. Kids eat free tea time during week with adult meals great for families

If i have time i alway visit morrisons for lunch great great hot english meals here also great value for money

Being an early bird and crowd hater the reasonably new opening time of 6am is great. However be prepared that the freshly produced product all options will not be available so early. Also no matter what time of day I've been shopping, some standard products have not been replenished, very frustrating.

Came here for our breakfast on a Sunday morning, we placed our food order and was told there is up to a 30 min wait on food, fair enough we thought we can wait half a hour, 1 hour later still waiting! Told lady on the till and she issued full refund and we even got out meals 2 mins after the refund had been issued. Need more staff obviously

Great supermarket. Great staff. Well laid out and a great variety of meats, breads etc. Wine choice excellent and craft beers on shelf.

Typical supermarket cafe, usually quite busy, but they are trying some up to date ideas. Haven’t eaten here for a while, but did buy a family member one of the new ‘Big Daddy breakfasts’ last week. It lived up to its name. It was huge and excellent value. Very fresh and tasty. In fact all the food coming out looked good. I’ve known it to be a bit hit and miss in the past, but going on today’s visit everything was good

My wife and myself use this cafe regularly, mainly early mornings. They are understaffed so service at the till can be slow - the operator having to take meal orders which can be individualised and take time. Other than that we have found the service good and cheerful, the food, mainly breakfasts, hot and good value, and served reasonably quickly. There is a coffee kiosk for speciality coffee otherwise it is served by machines and is a pretty good quality. It is what it is, a busy supermarket cafe and in that context good value

Snail pace service, lukewarm coffee which was drunk well before food eventually arrived and this was only after chasing staff up. Table next to us got a full refund because they had been waiting an hour for food. Total shambles, sort yourselves out Morrison’s!

As the local area is somewhat limited for early morning pre nine o'clock breakfast places often come to Morrision's when we need an early breakfast on the move. Yes it is a supermarket cafe so one does not expect luxury but we've always been happy with the amount and quality of food offered for breakfast, and the value is unbeatable. As we are usually in early we've never had much of a delay in getting served both at the till and for food, but have seen it get busy as the morning passes. Under these circumstances the staff would need to be increased to keep up.Nothing is perfect minor niggles cutlery on occasion could be cleaner, juice not always available, coffee machines can be temperamental. Eggs Benedict was a pleasant surprise when tried, love the full breakfast, and the bacon and sausage bread cakes.

Horrid. Dirty, not enough staff and nasty food. Feel sorry for the staff, who all seem miserable & stressed out.

We often visit morrisons cafes for breakfast. This was our first visit to the Anlaby one. The food was good as it usually is.

Collected grandchildren from school went to Morrisons for tea, ordered large fish and chips twice children eat free thay had spaghetti Bolognese. The fish was all thick batter the children's meals was so dried up it was crispy and hard it looked like it had set, the garlic bread was hard must have been left under hot lamps to long this food was not edible.You could get a desert for a £1.00 that was the best part of the meal. I know this is cheap but very disappointing

We pop in here a lot, usually for a quick tea as kids eat free with a main meal of £5. It's basic but generally the fish & chips is pretty good. Pies and pastries are fine. Let down by processed mashed potato and watery sauces. Usually untidy; but busy! Need more staff and fresher salads etc. Good coffee and inexpensive in general.

I got a Morrisons voucher for a free breakfast for my birthday. We normally shop at Morrisons and we're very happy with the supermarket so it seemed a great idea. My wife and I went in around 0930 and it was the first time we'd been into the cafe.

Went last night for quick tea, I don't expect much from a supermarket cafe. The place has been done up and looks more appealing than it did, hence the 2 stars
