Great food good customer service prices not bad allso ample parking

😋haddock and chips mushy peas very enjoyable, 15 minutes with one customer in front, certainly not fast food no wonder they have comfy armchairs to ease the wait, certainly not suitable for mid landers chippy goers who are used to quicker service, but never the less very enjoy and will call again.

Cooked fresh to order. Very tasty. Great service. A must for anyone.

Visited on Tuesday and it was great. Went today and it wasn't so good. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and then my order was incorrect and cold. I didn't want to wait anymore so just had what was delivered. Tuesday however the food was amazing, hot, delicious and the service was great!

Great takeaway option, very polite staff, didn't have to wait too long for our food, I'd say in my opinion best fish and chips around this area.

We ordered online, 30 mins ahead of collection time and still had a 15 min wait when we got there. Despite specifying salt and vinegar, this was completely ignored, and we got none. The scampi was not proper scampi, the gravy had zero taste and was watery. All in all a disappointing experience, and most of it got thrown away.

Had the fish finger sandwich, chips and katsu curry sauce outside. Not sure if it was me but I couldn't taste the fish and was ultimately disappointed with it. I did enjoy the katsu sauce but not the rest. Service was also very slow, everyone waiting for chips as non on standby in the warmers.

Went here for dinner as been on holiday down the road and going back home in the morning. Food was fantastic. Will be back next time we are back in the area

My partner phoned up to place a takeaway order but was told they couldn't do that. On arrival to purchase food in person my partner saw several people leaving and heard them complaining that they had been waiting over 20 mins after being told their food would only be a few mins. On arriving at home I discovered 2 dark brown/ black long hairs with my fish. NO ONE was wearing a hair net or hat whilst either cooking or serving. As a local I WON'T be back and won't be recommending this chippy.

I have never felt such an inconvenience whilst giving our order for our takeaway, which was very straightforward. The atmosphere is awful. 100% never again. Could take the poor customer service if the food was to die for but its less than ordinary.

The best fish and chip shop around. Generous portions and the fish is cooked to perfection. Plenty of choice on the menu. The restaurant is spotlessly clean. Dogs are welcome too. Level walk into the restaurant. Disabled parking right outside the door. I highly recommend it.

Queued for 20 mins, couldn't use app to order as no allergy information available online so had to ask in person, staff very unsure about allergies, Person taking order had to ask someone else who referred them to a sheet of paper, they were very unsure how to interpret it, not knowing which symbols were nuts. Made order and had to wait another 35 mins for food, Seafood box was underwhelming, tasteless and mostly just over fried batter. Fish was nice, chips OK. Kids meals (cod/sausage) were good. Edit in reply: Apologies I misspoke breaded not battered on the seafood basket, either way it wasn't nice as other guests have commented. With regards to the allergies my point was that the information wasn't available on the website. Allergies are a very serious matter and you appear to have unsuccessfully deflected my comments and experience without taking it seriously. Yes, it was Morrishs and yes the young girl that I told referred to a more senior member of staff who just told her to check the sheet, she walked over and got the sheet (laminated or not) and checked it, she told me the thing I wanted to order was may contains and asked me to select something else, she then asked the other member of staff "what is that symbol, is it a nut" so for the safety of future customers and some feedback to improve your processes I would suggest some staff training, a clearer guide and making allergen information available for customers to see in store and on the website. It's helpful feedback considering the severity of life threatening allergies. I am sorry some of your food was nice, but we didn't enjoy some. With regards to the length of time and suggesting that my order took longer because of my choices, the man in front of me made a relatively basic order and also waited the same length of time. I'll put that down to bank holiday custom, a positive for you guys. Might I also add the person that served me was really lovely, and I thanked her for checking the allergy information very politely.

The ordering system was chaotic. They did not take any orders from the queue for over half an hour. And it took another 20 minutes to get out food. This isn’t ok for a takeaway

absolutely disgusting service, the worst i have had from a take a way. I ordered through Just Eat, when the order arrived there was only 1 piece of cod i ordered 2 pieces, i phoned then straight away and i was told nothing to do with them i need to contact just eat, i phoned just eat and was instructed to email them. The error was with Morrish they should have corrected their mistake, so my wife had her fish and chips and i had nothing, disgusting response from Morrish, if they cant cope with being on just eat them come off it

I took 3 of my children out for a treat to morrishs in the restaurant. We had to wait 10 minutes to place our order then a further 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. We ordered 3 fish and chips and a vegetarian burger and chips. I asked about a allergy one of my children get and never got a answer from the staff. The food took another 40 minutes to arrive at our table. It shouldn't take 1 hour to receive your food in a restaurant. After years of supporting morrish I'm tired if waiting ages for food. I will be taking my money elsewhere unfortunately.

Really great for an out stop on our way down into Cornwall, clean, modern and really great grub! One of the you guys waiters was a bit forgetful, but we’ll forgive him!

This was the worst fish and chip supper ever. The food was overcooked, greasy and in some case just burnt We had a mix of a couple of sea food platters and standard fish and chips and none of it was done to an acceptable standard. Compared to other local fish and chip shops this just didnt come up to scratch. There are plenty nearby to recommend but sadly these are not open on a Monday. This will be a place to avoid

Bloody gross young girl wiped her nose and carried on serving food with all thoes germs on her hand, no hair nets, and very slow service. Won't be going back poor hygiene

I’ve been coming to Morrish’s for years and last night was one of the slowest times I’ve been here. It wasn’t fairly busy but seemed to be quite a few staff but slow service. Food was good but the cod was quite salty when received, chips were lovely and golden and the curry sauce was one of the best I’ve had at a chippy. The seafood basket on the other hand was a let down as it, fish was watery and bland. I highly recommend the chocolate fondant with ice cream, really sweet but delicious. Plenty of parking. I will come back but I wish for a bit of faster service.

REPLY TO REPLY: The issue isn’t that you do these chips now, it’s that it isn’t written or advertised anywhere you changed… so it was a shock to be given these. I phoned to complain and the young girl on the phone didn’t really know what to say just asked “Are you complaining?” As to which I said yes, but a refund was never discussed and I wasn’t asked to bring the item back. They weren’t cooked all the way through, which prompted my review… wouldn’t have been so bad if they were cooked, but it just meant they went straight in the bin. As for the rest of the review, Morish’s has been getting worse as time has time has gone on… clearly a budget thing as rapeseed oil is expensive. Quality just isn’t the same as it was a few years ago, which is a shame. UPDATED 10/07/23 If you’re thinking of ordering vegan / veggie chippie chips, you’ll be sorely disappointed… my poor vegan mother expected some nice chips receiving some packet skin on fries… wouldn’t have been so bad… but they weren’t cooked either. Apparently this is the vegan / veggie option now. No refund offered when I explained chips weren’t cooked all the way through. Straight in the bin. Morish’s has been getting worse and worse recently, from overcooked fish to undercooked batter, chips that have barely seen a frier and food that just wasn’t right. This sealed the deal for me and my partner this eve… £20 on 3 portions of chips (two cheesey, one vegan) and a couple of drinks… shouldn’t have bothered. ____________________________________ I don’t know why people are giving three star reviews just because the restaurant is busy and they have to wait for food?! Generally, if somewhere is busy, it means the food is good! Not the restaurants fault it has a queue. Morrish’s is great. Simple chippy with the classics, easy online ordering system, huge car park. Food tastes good, especially the tartare sauce. Vegan and gluten free options available too.

Hands down the best fish and chips I've had in memory. And I have fish and chips alot.

My favourite fish&chips place in the area. Always served to the same, high standard. Parking is large and easily accessible which is a plus as well. You can get a fish on its own and save a few £ (sometimes I just don't feel like chips, and unfortunately a lot of places do not let you get just the fish/the price is the same)

Went for lunch today. The food and service was excellent. Beautifully decorated with plenty of menu choices. I had cod and chips, which was perfectly cooked. No complaints, will be back again.

The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and the sticky toffee pudding was one of the best ever. The service was excellent and the parking wasn't a problem. We'd certainly go back there again.

Gemma was our server, lovely service, polite and friendly. So glad i picked here to have my Birthday lunch it was perfection, tasty food and well presented. Clean warm, inviting environment. I recommend without hesitation.

We go into Morrishs every Friday lunchtime and have to say, the food is fantastic, always fresh and great value for money. And the service is second to none. Nothing is ever too much bother. One of, if not THE best fish and chip shop in Cornwall!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. A little more expensive then I expected but lovely nevertheless.

Always pleasant from here, not quite as good as they used to be before covid 19. Still amazing fish and chips, especially eat in. They used to use R•J•Trevarthen bucher sausages (as once stated on the menu) but I don't think they do now (no longer stated as being used). Sausages are not as nice as they used to be.

We hadn't been here before, but the service, food and cleanliness were excellent. I had their 'Crispy Coated Whitebait' followed by a 'Fish Supper Special', it was all very tasty and will return soon.

Overpriced for what you get nearly 11 pound for large cod which was very skinny hardly any batter and really greasy. the chips were like mush. the best part about it was to curry sauce and mushy peas

Good evening 9/1/24 I tried calling at 19.20 and 19.55 the phone just rang out the first time and then was put down on me. I placed an order with you for collection at 19.15, at 19.20 a young lady came out and asked which order was I waiting for I told her, I couldn't understand what she was saying so I just waited a further 10 minutes. on returning home the fish cake was packed with the 2 sausage in batter I am a pescitarian and my partner dosent eat any form of fish, we therefore had to bin that part of the meal! The large chips were very megre which is unusual for you, we usually just come in and order there and then and have never had any problems. regards Mark

Always been one of the best 'Fish and Chip' shops in Cornwall, tried their own Kraken burger the other day out of interest, because most burgers from Chip shops are deep fried and typically dire! Well The Kraken was in a different league, it was superb, very impressed, in essence a proper gourmet burger with real ingredients, highly recommended, despite the fact you would usually only want to visit for Fish and Chips!!

Good quality food, staff are very good and everything came to the table red hot, you get what you pay for and this was worth every penny.

I phoned ahead, I didn't need to, I just always do. I spoke to Ryan, one of legacy. I wanted to feed the needy. They all helped. Plus my man threw in some water, and a juice for me. I really said no, a lot of times, but they insisted . I've eaten here myself and I loved it. Tonight was different. Still bet it was the best food in a while.

So bad,ordered cod and chips to be collected and was told 20 minutes.After waiting 35 minutes I asked what was going on,they didn't seem that busy.waited a further 12 minutes for slightly warm food.Wont be back.

Went to the takeaway and the place was filthy. Dust and dirt all over the floor. And spiders and nests above the door. It would be considered dirty for a shop let alone a place selling food.

As weekly regulars (which speaks for itself) we can highly recommend Morrishs. The food is delicious, and the customer service cannot be faulted. The restaurant is clean and inviting. Staff are friendly and accommodating - especially Gemma who is amazing!

Always enjoy visits here. Staff welcoming but we waited a long time for our orders to be taken. Food arrived in good time and was well cooked and presented.

When stopping in Caddys Corner, we use Morrishs and have never been disappointed. Meaty fish 🐟 light batter, good chips, and amazing Mushy Pea Fritters, you need to try them if you haven't already! Ordered via the app, arrived, and a friendly team member brought my order to my car, which was very easy. Would definitely recommend you have chip shop tea from here.. ☺️

Efficient online collection via the app and the food was ready on time with a member of staff bringing it to your vehicle. The food wasn’t the worse I’ve hard but surely wasn’t the best. I had high hopes based on the location (being around Cornwall) and some of the reviews. The fish tasted a bit rubbery in places and the app never gave the option to add salt and vinegar on the chips, just the fish which was a little unusual.

Food was less than average. Requested condiments to give the fish & chips a bit of flavour but that was cheap. Staff were pleasant. Told the staff we were not happy with the food but didn't see any point in escalating.

Ordered 2 jumbo sausage, large chips, peas and curry, for myself and my uncle. I ordered it online for collection 17.15 - 17.20, and entered my car regestration, as they bring it out to you when they see you arrive. I arrived a couple of mins. early, and bang on 17.15, a young lady came over with my order. Superb service, lovely food, can't recommend highly enough.

We are locals who visit every Friday and wouldn’t go anywhere else for fish and chips, in fact we drive from Helston. Food is always to a high standard and service is first class and friendly.

Shown to table then waited 10 / 15 minutes for our order to be taken a good 20 minutes before food was brought was asked if wanted any sauces told waitress what we wonted never saw the sauces nor the waitress again.nobody came to ask if every thing was OK or if we needed any thing This was about 5 o'clock so it was very quite.The fish was lovely but the chips were soft and warm . Very dissappointed

Been tonight with our dogs, couldn't have asked for friendlier staff, really made us and our dogs welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Food was beautiful, portions very good and the raspberry milkshake a must. Will definitely be coming again thank you.
