Yesterday I had been here for want of Good Meal. Iordered Biryani chiken starter and veg starter. It was really really horrible. REALLY DISAPPOINTED. HAVING TRAVELLED FROM NEWCASTLE gor work on docks here I wanted authentic food.not at all Good

It was a lovely date with my husband at the best restaurant I've ever been to in Cornwall! Loved the food, especially the desserts, starters, and main course – the service was fantastic too! If you want to truly enjoy Indian food, this is the place. 😋🍽️❤️

Been very ill not ate in weeks .. but the lamb curry rice chicken korma and trimmings was amazing the best food ever in the world thankyou chefs /staff world class food always xx happy new year to everyone x

Food was bland and awful. Place lacks atmosphere and is noisy. Not good.

Takeout - we have had takeaway a few times now expecting it to get better but never order the poppadoms! x1 horrible poppadom for £1 everytime you must be joking. A lot of Indian places give you the for free if you spend enough which we always do.

Our group of ten have eaten curries all over the UK. Last night we unanimously agreed we had the tastiest meal we have ever had. Whilst we had different dishes, all were delightfully flavoured and served with a smile. The staff were engaging and professional, especially Dave. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Had the vegetarian brunch and it was lovely. Honestly didn’t really miss not having any meat dishes which is a first for me. For the price it is a steal!

Fabulous vegan Nepalese buffet lunch for two yesterday. A really lovely meal with various dishes to choose from. We tried everything! All the dishes were very nicely flavoured, spicy but not too much chilli. We really enjoyed the meal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend going there. The price was a bargain, only £6.99 each for the buffet. The marsala spiced black tea was also excellent. The staff were polite and the restaurant itself was very pleasant. Thank you for an excellent meal 😋

Can't say much about the food waited over 10 mins for a half of beer so got fed up and left. 4 people came in after me and we're ordering food and I hadn't even got my beer. The place was not exactly busy either.

We went in a few weeks ago with a group of four. The staff were very friendly and helpful. they recommended dishes and the service was quick and the food was great. Even up to leaving, the service was excellent. I would absolutely visit again!

Absolutely great evening, there were 10 of us and all the meals came out together. The food was delicious, very tasty and one of the best meals I have had in Falmouth. The staff were really good, very attentive and engaging. We will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant. Special thanks to Dave who looked after us brilliantly.

The Gurkha has been our regular Indian/Nepalese restaurant for many many years now. We get a takeaway at least once a month usually. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious with some great vegetarian options (such as paneer).

The buffet is fantastic value for money and absolutely delicious. All very reasonably priced and the service was faultless.

We were offered a booth with wooden seat the look of the restaurant reminded me of a mcdonalds or burger King. The was a charged of £1.10 per poppadom and charges for the dips on top which was sparingly to the point we had to limit what we used on the poppadoms incase we ran out . The onion bargie was size of a 50p and consisted of mainly flavoured breadcrumbs it was tasty but very small. We had chicken tikka as main the chicken was very over cooked tough, chewy and dry the sauce tasted more like a korma as it was very coconut tasting, when its suppose to be tomato and creamy, and it was quite watery not thick like tikka sauce ive had previously, the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. . The rice had lots of full cloves in it and that's all we could taste, it was over powering, both me and my wife left almost of the rice and half of the chicken in the curry sauce. I was very disappointed I could do better at home. The portions was very small and quite expensive for poor food. We will not be returning. My family has been here for takeaway and they comment that it's very good food which is why we tried it. My experience is poor quality, poor atmosphere, small portions and very expensive for what it is. As mentioned very disappointing

Visited on several occasions this year. This time Fantastic food, excellent service, so good we got a naughty second bottle of wine. Seriously lovely venue, cannot recommend enough.

I had Indian food at quite a few places in Falmouth & Truro over the last week. Gurkha was by far the best amongst all. Most authentic Indian food + some exquisite Nepali dishes as well. I’ll remember their great taste & great service for a long time to come..

Had a Chicken Korma as my main meal. It was delicious not too sweet (like I have had before from other restaurants). Staff were pleasant/accommodating. Pity I don't live in Falmouth.

I visited in Gurkha restaurant for a dinner, very delicious food and staff was very friendly we ordered tandoori mix grill which was really good, highly recommended restaurant.

Pls never visit this restaurant, it's neither Nepalese or Indian... It's a garbage... am not kidding, it's garbage...Please close down this restaurant and save Indian / Nepalese cuisine from hands of morons. I believe they are serving microwaved indian food from Tesco...

Food was average, yet over priced - wasn’t a bad meal just had nicer. The service seemed great as we watched and waited for the waiter to make conversation to Europeans before we could order. There was no music, awkward atmosphere, flys everywhere and a door that didn’t close properly so was a draft.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was perfectly attentive. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and anything.

Normally papdoms are complimentary everywhere especially with 9 of us dining in. We were charged for the chillies, already not to a good start. Portions were not a great size - very small, food overall was ok but very mild, asked for chilli which again came with cost which we were unaware of. Customer service was good and the atmosphere was good too. Overall it was ok. Satisfactory

What an absolute weird hybrid of Chinese and Indian food! The prawn pathia was what I can only describe as a few prawns in sweet and sour sauce and the Nepalese dish was definitely more Chinese than anything I have ever tasted. Big disappointment. Consistency and flavours do not resemble Indian food at all. Best to avoid. Many more nicer "Indians" in Falmouth...

This is by far the best Indian food I have eaten in all of England. Falmouth is lucky to have Gurkha. I prefer food to be a bit hot, and on request they made the food as spicy and hot as I like it! The Biryani, Dosa and Naan was to die for! My dad prefers milder tasting food, and he was very content with his lamb curry as that was the original signature flavour that Gurkha prepares! The staff was absolutely sweet and friendly and they ensured we have a lovely time! We ate here 3 days in a row and were never disappointed! Will definitely recommend to friends! Keep it up!

Sunday Buffet is highly recommended

Hardly any potato in the saag aloo, and barely any mushrooms in the mushroom rice. The Nepalese Chilli Chicken was like a Chinese-style sweet and sour dish. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that but I found it strange. 😐

Been coming here for years so I was a bit worried when I saw the restaurant has moved from the nestled first floor setting to the more mainstream ground floor but there was no need. Food is just as good as it’s ever been, which is flipping delicious! Cannot recommended this place enough, if you’re in Falmouth and don’t eat here, you are missing a real treat.

We booked this lovely restaurant on our trip to Falmouth. As we passed by, we were attracted by the delicious aroma that filled the air and the comfortable and relaxing surroundings around us. The selection of the menu is rich and varied, the speed of serving is fast, the service provided by the restaurant staff is warm and thoughtful, the dishes are delicious, the price is favorable, recommended!

Visited the Gurkha recently with family to celebrate a special birthday. We went on Sunday which is buffet menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed the choice. The service was very good and both the Chefs Raj and Abi came out to say hello and had a chat with us. It was great value for money and having just found this place we will definitely be returning soon. We were looked after by everyone and in particular Sebastian was very friendly and polite. Delicious food !!

The food was great but the service not so good. We were shown our table and rushed to place our order. Then 3 different waiter/waitress attended our table within a space of about 5 minutes to hurry us to order. It was early in the evening, and we asked what time they were closing thinking that we had come to late. The waitress told us 1 1pm was closing so at 8:20 pm we didn't need to be hurried like we were. As if that wasn't enough, we were still eating when the waiter came over and started to clear the table and proceeded to say he would get us the bill. We told the waitress what had happened before leaving and she was very apologetic but it just ruined the experience. We most probably would not go back because of this treatment. The one star review is due to the poor service, not the standard of food!

So sorry, I don't know what happened!!!!! It should have been a 5 star rating as the food was amazing. The vegetarian choice was really impressive and the food thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone.

Ordered takeaway today chicken tikka masala and what a disappointment all you could taste was salt and a buttery taste we couldn't eat it nan breads were smoothered in butter so very greasey and rice was very hard. Unfortunate as we've eaten inside before and been nice so may be a one off but very disappointed

I thought they had missed a rice order out of my order but turns out it was me... I will eat my butter chicken with bread and in silence...

We ordered takeaway, the food took an hour and a half to get here, chicken was overcooked, there was hardly any meat in our dishes, it was 95% sauce.

Experience has to be taken account with what happens thr next morning. I can't even remember what we had. We had the Lamb and the chicken korma and also the monkfish curry. We also had a biranyi and garlic naan. Flavour is OK if you're someone who likes flavour. The restaurant was quite busy when we attended but they served as relatively quickly. All in all, inoffensive.

Very excited to be back! This will always remain my favourite restaurant in the Falmouth area. Can't wait to return already.

Well what a waste of good money. Absolutely disgusting slop. Never again. The cartons for the main meal were half full, so was one of the rice dishes. The side dish I ordered which was supposed to be chilli paneer was a runny mess of slop, it didn't even look or taste like a chilli paneer. Don't eat from there. You might as well put your money down the drain.
