Morellos in South Hams

We absolutely loved Morellos, from the vintage-look interior with its pink and turquoise furnishings and monochrome chequered floor, to the delicious cake and coffee! Service was friendly, efficient and attentive and we will definitely go there again. We loved the music too.

A return visit after being really impressed with our experience last year. The desserts and milkshakes didn’t disappoint they are absolutely delicious. Service was super friendly but a bit slow as I think they were a staff member down but you could see the lady (not sure if she is the owner but she was the lovely lady who served us last year) was absolutely run off her feet, apologetic and trying her best. We did not even mention it yet when it came to the bill she adjusted this as she felt we had waited longer than she considered reasonable and their service hadn’t met their own high standards. When an establishment recognises this without you even having to say anything that is when you know you’re in good hands and that customer service and satisfaction is top on their list of priorities. Huge menu, great themed diner, friendly staff and amazing desserts - we will be back next year and would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely cafe to have drink. The most aesthetically pleasing place you will ever eat at. The customer service was excellent and the quality of the milkshakes was outstanding and it looked like it came straight out of the 50s !

Stumbled across this place and will definitely be back. Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I had the biscoff waffle which was amazing. My girls loved their oreo milkshakes. Great find.

Enjoyable & Amazing banana split and 4 pancakes with lemon & sugar. Friendly and attentive staff. Situated in the the centre of Dartmouth Worth a visit for Ice Cream lovers!

Pros: • bostin’ pot of tea. • great cream tea, both flavour and value • not a scrap left of the kids’ crepes or the better half’s waffle even though they were all fair sized portions. • the kids really enjoyed their milkshakes. They looked magnificent! • dog friendly. • excellent service. Cons: • can’t think of any. We only stumbled in here to avoid a sudden downpour but it proved to be a very fortunate decision. We’ll be back.

Fabulous coffee and Waffles, with amazing vegan/dairy free options! Beautiful 1950’s themed dessert diner! Very relaxed environment, the owner Lizzie was extremely lovely and Chase makes amazing coffee! Would highly recommend if you have children or if you fancy a solo sweet treat! Very pink ;) 10/10

We tried Morellos for the first time this morning after it was recommended by family. We were not disappointed, lady who served us was lovely, the menu choice is vast… so many options!! We went for the waffles and a milkshake and it was incredible. Our son was over the moon and we will definitely be back!! Great place to take the kids for a nice treat!

We came here tonight as a family of five for desserts after a meal out locally. It was near to closing time but a lovely lady still cleared and found us a table. Three of us had milkshakes the other two had sundaes and all were delicious! My husband said it was the best milkshake he'd ever had. It's a great little place, friendly service and we loved the retro decor. We will be sure to return :-)

We found Morellos great for ice cream and coffee - and not overly expensive. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Would recommend.

I don’t think you could take two little girls to a better place for a special breakfast. Seeing their faces when their stack of pancakes and crepe arrived (personally the pancake stack leaves the biggest jaw drop!) was worth every penny.

Charged 50p for sprinkles on an already overdue priced ice cream but only got a few - probably a total of about 15 bits of hundreds and thousands. When I asked for more sprinkles the server was dismissive but did take the ice cream away and when she returned it did not look like any more were added. I don't normally leave negative reviews but this was poor value for money. If you want sprinkles on your ice cream don't bother paying the 50p extra as it's just not worth it!

The food was fantastic... they made the most amazing banana splits for the kids... and the cafe itself is lovely. But more than that the staff were lovely, kind and really helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place for a very fairly priced treat.

This is a little gem, and we are glad we stumbled upon this place. The decor is very much kitsch, but clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, although seemingly very busy - we visited on a very hot and sunny afternoon - and despite this, are very helpful. The food was acceptable too, I would recommend this place to anybody travelling through Dartmouth.

Friendly, super menu of pure indulgence. Clean and pleasant surroundings, quick service and gorgeous deserts . A quality place to visit for those with a sweat tooth.

Fabulous ice cream parlour and cafe in Dartmouth. Wonderful selection of sweet treats amazing ice creams and crepes, waffles. A definite stop off when visiting Dartmouth. Lovely and clean, friendly staff and great music.

Never tried a waffle before. Always support local businesses. Took family there on a Thursday about 11am. Absolutely brilliant food. Everybody enjoyed it from a 6 year old to a 71 yr old. Great atmosphere , menu and staff. will certainly go back again.

Best waffle I have had. Great choice of menu. Staff very friendly and helpful and good good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Dog friendly, quick service and so yummy. A work of art rivalling van Gogh's starry night, you were able to pick your own toppings on waffles or crepes. Only a shame that they weren't serving savouries. We are definitely coming back.

Crepe was burnt, so burnt it snapped my wooden fork trying to eat it. It was also black in some parts.

Our first visit today. Love the vibe in this 50s milkshake bar themed cafe/restaurant. Better even than the totally suitable 50s music played at just the right volume are the super-friendly staff. Just coffee and cake today but definitely looking forward to lunch next time

Love the milkshakes but the shop has been closed for so long I haven't been able to have one, got the wrong crepe 3 times in a row, now the one in avenue Gardens is closed as well!! Nothing on FB or in the window...

Delicious milkshakes to cater for all preferences and dietary needs. My husband and son had their special 4th July themed milkshakes and loved them. I had a vegan milkshake with oat milk, biscoff, caramel and banana. Fantastic

the lady behind the counter who served me was very helpful, she was very knowledgeable about what was and wasn’t vegan. i’ll definitely be back next weekend. also the free vegan whipped cream was an extra bonus. just what dartmouth needed:)

Just what Dartmouth needs. We have visited twice so far. First time we were able to sit inside as it was just before lockdown started. My son loved his waffle on a stick and milkshake. We then came for take away milkshakes for a weekend...

This is a much needed and much loved addition to Dartmouth. We have already visited a few times and immediately became our new favourite place for a well deserved treat. The kids also love it. They also offer a dairy free option which is perfect....
