Amazing food, great service, pretty place, very affordable. The only missing thing was a menu/names of the cakes and coffees available.

Absolutely great little caf, proper non-chain non-industrial food and lovely staff. Slight shame for the biodegradable plates & cutlery.

Bit pricey if you're from Yorkshire, but proper food, no additives, and a really good cup of tea (though it pains me to say it). Lovely person on the counter, would have gone back for breakfast again on the Sunday but for my early train.

Quiet place, no Wi-Fi but give me time to think with less distractions. All bar chairs so quite high up. Some might find it a bit uncomfortable. I quite like it as it’s not noisy and you don’t hear plates clattering either. The only suggestion I would make is I wish I could have proper coffee mug to dine in rather than paper cup for a large latte of £3.8. I like the simple sketch on the glass window 🤓

Outstanding vegetarian lasagna. I was looking for a place for a quick lunch and happen to look inside. The friendly lady working in the restaurant was very welcoming and recommended the lasagna. It was superb.

We had a nice breakfast here last week. Good coffee, enormous croissants, fruit and Greek yogurt on raspberry jam covered toasted bun was excellent.

It’s a cool spot for quick lunches during your break at work. I go there quite often when I go to the office. The owner is friendly and the I like the decorations and all the plants inside. Food is also good. Big portions and healthy options. So cheap as well!

My research indicates that the definition of Moreish is London slang for “treats that cause a desire for more.” This is an apt name for Moreish Cafe on Marchmont St. in Bloomsbury. My daughter and I stayed at St. Athans Hotel, a few steps away, and returned twice to Moreish for excellent breakfast of homemade granola, jam and toast. We loved the proprietress, who manages her business thoughtfully, with care, talent and a true appreciation for ingredients. If you are in a hurry, perhaps go elsewhere. She runs the place herself, so you may have to wait a spell but it’s worth it. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy people watching at the corner. I purchased a homemade apricot and ginger bar for my flight home to the States - it was sustaining and delicious, with powerful bits of ginger, cashew and fruit. I will attempt to recreate it at home but wish I could just walk down my street to Moreish. Moreish is the kind of establishment I find inspiring. She’s managing this little corner cafe in her own special way, resisting commercial pressure for speed, volume and mediocrity. Moreish indeed makes you want to return for more.

Accueil chaleureux et bons produits. Nous étions à Londres pour 4 jours, et nous y sommes allé 2 fois ! Les croissants, pains au chocolat, cheesecakes et brownies sont délicieux, les jus sont pressés à la demande. Le tout dans un cadre très apaisant avec des tables en bois et des plantes partout.

Can't speak highly of this place enough! The owner is an amazing lady with an equally interesting story! She is really nice and the customer service is 10/10! Food is reasonably priced and is really good healthy food! Will definitely be going here again, found on happy cow and have not been disappointed!

Very nice place. I've been there for a fast lunch-break and I ordered a vegetarian mezzo salad. 5 minutes, and the meal was ready: a rich assortment of vegetables, accompanied by humus and a boiled egg. I ended the lunch with a short espresso, not bad even for Italian standards. Cheap prices, healthy food and a friendly owner. I recommend it

The first breakfast place I truly loved when I first moved here. I like the warm atmosphere inside. I'd highly recommend this place for a leisurely breakfast or morning stopover to pick up classic Danish pastries, juices, gelato or coffee. All of the plants are also for sale too!

We greatly enjoyed the vegan mezze platter and a fresh orange juice with extra ginger. My guest bought a fresh fruit cake for afternoon tea and she tells me it was delicious. Wonderful and entertaining service; a lovely venue with a fine selection of potted plants; the vast majority of the food is made in the kitchen. What's not to like?

love the atmosphere and vibe of this place! its small though and can get crowded in the afternoon, so theres a no-laptop rule. but when i went there werent too many people, so its good in the morning. the service was quick and lovely. the woman working there was really warm and kind :) they have a variety of vegan and vegetarian pastries, sandwiches, and soups as well as gelato and sorbet. i got the mezze box which was 4 salads and an egg and hummus for £6.50. quite a good deal! it wasnt the freshest ingredients and the hummus wasnt the best quality, but still a good bang for the buck.

Excellent cafe. Happy to make me a curry at 9am after cycling 35 miles from Brookwood in Surrey. Amazing smoothie too that had so much in it. Raspberry Blueberry Kiwi Apple Banana Turmeric and probably other things! All set up for the rest of my day catching the train at Kings Cross just round the corner. Thanks for looking after me.

We had a chance to spend a couple of days in the area and our hotel recommended Moreish. We loved it right away. The plants are for sale. It's a one-woman shop. She makes almost all the food, which is healthy and delicious. We had coffee with breakfast toast and Christmas cake one day and a huge sandwich the next. I get that it might not be the right spot for some, but I'd eat here all the time if I lived near by!

Very pleasant atmosphere, with lovely service, and a really beautiful seating area. Their sourdough was one of the best I ever tasted, and their croissants and brownies were just as good.

If you haven’t been here then you’re definitely missing a major thing in London. Like me a lot of people can’t even imagine beginning their work without a good coffee, and for me a good cappuccino is a must. Initially I was skeptical about how good my cappuccino would be but it turned out to be so good that I’m addicted to it now. I really like the lady, she is quite hardworking and has magical hands. I just love the cappuccino here. The cappuccino is so good that even when I go broke, I just borrow money from someone to have that. It’s a habit that I’ve developed and I can’t get rid of it now. Such a beautiful cafeteria inside out, with big plants and indoor lighting. If you love nature this is the place, no matter how long a review is I won’t even come close to describe how beautiful this place is. An early morning person should definitely visit this, they offer a wide range of croissants, breads and vegan & vegetarian meals. They do breakfasts and lunch as well. If you’re a coffee person like me do get a loyalty card and make sure she punches it through , you get your 8th or 7th coffee for free. The ambience is beautiful, you can even buy plants from here to bring that aesthetic home decor in your house. 10/10 I will definitely recommend this place for a coffee.

Didn't try the food so cannot comment. Had a couple of hot drinks and was asked how much sugar in each - odd, why not let people do that themselves?🤔 Service was quick but an odd mix of friendly tinged with a hint of aggression. Beware whilst there is a toilet, there's no lock on the door. Prices are in line with London, around £6 for two drinks. Nice decor and location.

Never been before as just walking by and called in for latte and croissant. Service was nice and chilled and atmosphere very relaxed. The almond croissant was amazing! I would go back just for another if I did live 60 miles away.

One woman band, she works hard and fast to try and ensure a swift service. The coffee was to die for and the butter on my lovely toast was amazing. Great experience, will probably never go back as I'm a tourist but a great memory to keep.

This cafe has such a nice atmosphere, so may plants it makes you feel like you've stepped into a jungle. It has a really nice homemade feel, like everything has been thought about and hand crafted. It's an antidote to big chains and modern places with no soul.

The worst experience ever in the UK. It’s owned by a racist. I was opening my laptop for seconds and about to close, but suddenly the racist came to me angrily shouting that me and my friend are not welcome and even called the police after we refused to go( our coffee still half cup to drink). Although I understand that the racist owner suggested not using the laptops for study or work, I am just checking it for few secs for an urgent email and about to close the laptop. The whole process was within 1 min, but she immediately came over and shouted to me and my friend who just sat here doing nothing! When we were about to go (she kicked us out)she even insulted us and my friend. My friend felt very depressed and hurt by the cafe racist owner. She needs apologize from the owner because she didn’t take out any laptops but was insulted as well. One thing also needs to be note, when we were about to go, she even took out a camera shooting on our faces. Great place for vegetarians and vegans. There are plenty of options for breakfast and lunch. It is not a place to study but is the perfect place to sit, enjoy a coffee with a pastry while you swipe your phone, read or talk to a friend. Very lovely and well attended. Thank you!!

We arrived at around 10am on a Sunday morning. The cafe clearly wasn't open yet but there was a lady putting tables outside. We could see there was a menu on a board near the entrance so thought we'd take a look. My wife asked what time the cafe opened and the response was to tap the "closed" sign and walk back inside. As she came back out with some plants she said "I'm doing this as quickly as I can!" I said "sorry my wife just asked what time you opened". Her reply was totally unprofessional and shocking. She said (and I quote) "How arrogant and rude", to which I replied "pardon" and then came the pièce de résistance....... she told us to "piss off". So that's what we did and found a lovely cafe down the street. Customer care skills were sadly lacking in this awful individual.

Amazing cafe in the heart of Bloomsbury and outright one of the best espressos I've ever tried in London!

Bo-ho, shanty-style cafe serving organic, ‘home- made’ lunches, breakfasts + gelato. Affordable and healthy. I had the Middle Eastern salad mezze. The salads were edible but not flavoursome - they each tasted like they came shovelled out, days old, from large plastic tubs of mushy blandness. The grated carrot and apple salad was bright and decent, but the boiled carrot and feta salad was awful tasting. The mezze includes hummus (too runny and not sour enough) and a boiled egg (small and dry). There was a small cat hair inside one of them - but having cats I wasn’t super bothered. The place is a bit pokey (no good seating inside) so I sat in the one remaining outdoor seat - next to the trash. It was a bit wobbly but got the job done. The service was excellent. Really knowledgeable and chill yet professional. I probably wouldn’t eat there again.

Visited for coffee- the shop offers dairy, oat, soya and almond milk. I ordered an almond flat white and manager said they didn’t have any. Asked for soya instead- didn’t have any. Got oat (which is fine) and then the staff member started lecturing me about how bad almost milk is for the environment. I politely pointed out that it’s a personal (or allergy determined) choice and she proceeded to tell me how much better dairy milk is for the environment. It isn’t (source from 2022: (won’t let me post but google it)). When she brought over my coffee, she said “just a heads up, soya is really bad for women and causes anaemia. Again, completely untrue (source: (again, google) ) Completely unsolicited health advice. Especially considering I have a severe dairy allergy so have grown up with soya products (never been anaemic) AND have a history of anorexia nervosa which means that comments about the “healthiness” of what I’m eating could be very detrimental to me. She was rude and patronising, I left feeling very small and upset. Absolutely do not recommend. If you don’t want to serve almond and soya milk, DON’T OFFER THEM. Please don’t berate customers for their choices.

Cozy cafe. The woman was really nice to us. The yogurt tasted really great and the berries were really sweet! Definitely a good start of our trip to London!

Good decaf coffee, nice cake and great service. I liked the very friendly owner who made my sister and I feel welcome. Suffice to say in this area there are not many cafe/delis with a real feel. This place has IT. Not corporate/chain/franchise like. If you want a formula cafe this is not it. If you want singular and unique then Moreish is the place.

Just great. Lovely chatty owner who made me a wonderful vegetarian salad lunch and amazing smoothie which she personally recommended (I couldn't tell you what was in it if I tried, but it was fantastic). Delicious and fuss free breakfast with excellent service.

The place has a slightly arnacho syndicalist feel about the place with extinction rebellion posters. Good bread which is supplied by Paul’s and the woman who runs the place is very friendly. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t comment!

The Moreish Cafe Deli is a hidden gem in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. Located at 76 Marchmont Street, WC1N 1AG, the Deli is owned by the lovely host Jenny. Jenny is a wonderful cook and almost everything you can get at the Moreish Café Deli, is handmade by her. Also, the place is eco friendly: all cutlery and plates are biodegradable - approved by several Professors in environment at LSHTM, UCL and LSE. The owner is really friendly, always with a smile on (behind her mask now), ready for a chat, exchange of ideas and knowledge. She is also very kind and I have seen her in many occasions help people outside on the street. Very open minded person, always ready to defend anyone! A superb Café Deli! There are a great diversity of drinks and foods (vegetarian and vegan): - fresh juices, fresh teas, iced teas, coffee (espreso, americanos latte, cappuccino, flat white, mocha, macchiato), golden milk, hot hats and different types of milks (regular, soy, almond, oat) - gelatos & sorbettos (all super mouth-watering, gluten free and vegan) - gluten free cakes (vegan fruit cakes very low in added sugar, vegetarian baked lemon cheesecake, vegetarian chocolate brownie) - a variety of pastries (pain croissants, almond croissants, pain au chocolate, pain au raisin, pain aux chocolate & almond) - multigrain loaves - a big variety of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches - a large assortment of vegan and vegetarian breakfasts and lunches (See photos for the most recent menu) The menu changes with the seasons, according to lovely Jenny. Depending on the season and festivities, the Deli adjusts their menu and decoration. And to top it all, Jenny now sells the most extraordinary plants I have ever seen. As she usually says, “with the pandemic, people went away and the plants came in”. Now that we are all back to “normal”, we are enjoying the Moreish Cafe Deli at its best, with space outside and inside in the middle of this little wonderful jungle that Jenny created! All of this in the heart of London! A could not recommend it more! Go and enjoy!! P.S.: having in mind the quality (all handmade) and big quantity of the portions of each food and drink, I truly believe it is all at a very fair price. Especially when compared to the local cafes in the area, where prices are similar, but with low quality and quantity of food and drinks and lack of friendly waiters… Hence, my option to always go to the Moreish Café Deli. P.S. 2: I also agree with the policy of no laptops. The vibe of the deli is to serve delicious food and drink and enjoy a moment in the day. Not to spend hours using a device and not consuming. P.S. 3: Ice-creams and sorbets are SUPERB!!!!!

Conveniently located on one of my favourite areas in central London (Bloomsbury), a few doors from the historic Gay's the Word bookstore. Friendly staff, nice selection of salads, hot & cold foods & dessert. I recommend sitting on the counter looking out onto the street, or if the weather permits, sit outside.
