I’ve stopped here now a number of times for coffee and lunch! Often with a baby in tow. And have always left very happy. The coffee is superb and the pastries are absolutely delicious. Twice now I have been served by Minna. And she is absolutely lovely, very attentive and makes a delicious mocha. Will be returning again and again!

Mor cafe is a fantastic cafe. The pastries are some of the best you can find in the UK or abroad. The bread is fantastic. We are very lucky to have them in Chippy. The staff are really friendly and welcoming.

I’m sorry to leave such a negative review of Mor. I come to Chipping Norton for coffee two or three times a week and spread my custom across the three main independent coffee shops in town. I’ve visited Mor three times already this month and my experience has been consistently disappointing. In their favour the coffee is good, but the staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming, often more concerned with their phones than their customers. In fact one of them looked me up and down on my last visit and gave me the distinct impression I was not wanted! I’ve also had pastries a few times that were on the stale side. There’s little to recommend this place - I’ll be sticking to the Rustic Bean and Old Mill from now on.

Had a really nice coffee and croissant after a Saturday park run. The environment is also quite relaxing and definitely a place go come back to. The service was okay, but it wasn't really engaged. One person engrossed with their phone (wasn't sure they were a staff member) and they seemed more interested in sharing their news, so serving customers was a bit of an interruption to this. Not really that professional, but wasn't outwardly rude. Apart from that, it was a nice place for a coffee.

A lovely new addition to chipping Norton. Great coffee and pastries served by young, enthusiastic staff. Lovely interior space with a few outdoor seats too. Only negative…how many calories are there in a cruffin?! Enjoyed a delicious almond croissant with my coffee. Enjoy!

Our new ‘go to’ for coffee and pastry. We’re like that the pastries change with each visit - the rhubarb danish was great, and the brownies were delicious, but needed two sittings to finish it! Great music choices, and the staff told us how long everything would take. Splendid little place!

This is my regular go to place for all the morning essentials. The staff are always warm and welcoming. The sourdough loaf is off the scale delicious, as are the cinnamon buns. Can’t believe it took this long for Chippy to get a cafe this good.

The staff really let this place down. Food and coffee both really excellent but … cold, reluctant welcome. Everything felt like too much effort. After our first server disappeared the second actually rolled her eyes when we asked a few simple questions about our order. Took ten minutes for a sausage roll, coffee and canned drink to get to our table and we were the only people there for this duration. Plate hot, food cold. When other customers arrived they looked to us as if to say ‘wow! Did you get that rubbish service too!?’. Owners - your cafe is excellent for food and design - the rest? Please attend to the team are letting you down. (Visited Saturday 14 May).

Very cute spot but don’t expect the Stratford experience. No breakfast is served I’ve been twice now to purchase sourdough and a takeaway coffee the girl behind the counter was rude and unwelcoming both times. What a disappointment as the other location is so good!

Re Chipping Norton cafe. Unlike other cafes the prices on display the of pastries etc. do not include the additional cost of eating in. They only show one price which I am assuming is the takeaway one. I did not notice this on the first occasion but checked the other day when I was in and I was told that it was a "service charge" for eating in. I appreciate that there is an additional cost (VAT)for eating in so please can you display both prices as other cafes such as "chains" in the local area do. Otherwise the coffee is good as are the pastries but £3.45 for a cinnamon bun is perhaps taking it a bit too far. Also the large cups in my opinion are not that large!

We ordered takeaway online. The food was delicious. It was fresh and portioned very well. You can get sausage instead of cod.

It isn’t that often I visit The Windmill, but I know the place well enough to know something is very different. There was a different aura in the air today. I didn’t recognise any of the staff members, and whilst they seemed like a large family, they were all unique and discombobulated in their own ways. I must start with some high praise - we were greeted very kindly by a lovely tall Irish lady with a beaming smile. Whilst very busy, she was also very accompanying and allowed us to buy a few of their home-made pint glasses (which she said she wasn’t supposed to do). Hats off to her for the hospitality. Sadly things took a slight turn for the worse whilst we were seated. It was only myself and my partner ordering some pub grub, however, after a brief conversation with the waiter it was quickly apparent that some kind of knowledge barrier prevented us from ordering exactly what we wanted. I have a suspicion this older gentleman was a distinguished chef from years gone by, because there wasn’t a single word I understood in his recommendations. Embarrassingly, we decided to opt for a few beers at the bar before ordering food instead. I must admit, that was a saving grace, for their homemade beer ‘Hawkstone’ was divine. The bartender was full of dry wit which added to a great atmosphere amongst the other guests. He has that familiar family friendly humour, like you wouldn’t be surprised to see him on TV! Not only was the beer exceptional in quality, the slight intoxication seemed to clear up some of the brain fog I was experiencing earlier, since the waiter suddenly seemed to made a lot more sense! So, we finally ordered our meal and enjoyed some local produce - again, simply divine. Despite the great tastes and atmosphere, I couldn’t help but feel the service was jeopardised by the initial language barrier. As such, I did ask the waiter if we could remove our service charge. I should add, this was a new waiter at the time, a dreary English chap who wasn’t impressed with our request. Whilst his thorough and detailed lecture around why a service charge holds such an important role in the overarching finance of the food industry, I tried to hold my ground and get this removed from the bill. It was only after we realised my partner had been asleep for 8 minutes that we sped things up, paid the bill with a 50/50 compromise on the service charge, and got ourselves out of there. All in all, I’d recommend the establishment because, despite some teething problems and unorthodox scenarios, the people are genuine and the food/drink is exceptional. Just keep an eye out for those tractors (given the rural area) - a young man with curly blonde hair had completely blocked my car in so we had to wait half an hour to leave!

Nice little pub, choice of 8 on draught. Came in just after 9 and the barman said they are closing soon. Nice log fire is always a win.

Never again! Our starters were average, the ‘butterfly prawn’ was mostly bread crumb and very little prawn and extremely dry. The chicken Shashlick was cooked to almost sawdust, dry and tough and inedible. Why do you get a punnet of salad? It is neither in keeping or in this case edible.

I had a fantastic experience at Costa Coffee thanks to the excellent service from Marija! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. My coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Marija's warm attitude really stood out, making my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this location for great coffee and outstanding customer service!
