We discovered this lovely restaurant/bar by chance and it was absolutely phenomenal. The food was tasty,fresh and well-prepared. The stuff was friendly and kept checking in if we enjoy the food and drinks. The atmosphere was quite cozy. I will definitely go back here.

Extremely disappointed, would never go back and don’t recommend. After sitting down the couple next to us left essentially a full plate of food and asked to pass their comments on to the chef. I had the same problem with a processed, inedible “crispy” chicken souvlaki.

£9 for four calamari rings. £25 for a burger. Dinner for 2 came to over £70. Absolutely mental prices for mediocre food and small portions. Left the restaurant feeling like I'd just been mugged. Steer clear.

A over all good place to go food is a bit over priced. Me and my brother got the texas burger which was supposed to be medium but was more raw then cooked. Other than that i was quite good.

Drove down from merseyside for the day and called in for breakfast. Three of us had a full english and i had the breakfast brioche. The food was excellent as were the staff and a very friendly atmosphere would recommend to anyone. Thank you guys.

Very friendly service, however happy hour prices were high. 2 spirits with mixers, 1 beer and 1 cider €25.10 at happy hour pricing. €29 normal pricing. 100 yards away at another pub, the same drinks at normal price were only €21.

Just been into Bitter and Twisted. Some young lads came into the bar, tried to push in front of me. They need to learn to some Respect. My wife even heard the bar man blaming me, just because I said that I was next. Shocking. I wouldn't touch the place.

Pre booked online for a table in the bar as went went in with our dog Service was great by all, everyone was friendly Food was fanatic We ordered the garlic bread, one half with cheese, the cheese burger with bacon and also the Boss burger which had pulled pork, bacon and cheese Burgers are cooked medium unless you request anything else The boss burger is easily in the top 3 burgers I've ever had Plenty of chips with the order to Auto service charge added to the bill of 10% Overall we were very happy with the service and food and would return again for sure

Went with a large group. The service was well organised and fast.

Service a bit slow to very slow in a none busy time of day. Food, expensive tasteless small portions, don’t bother eat elsewhere. Sat eating listening to Essex guys at the bar bragging about their time in different prisons was the highlight of this place.

Stayed in Cotswold over NYE. Struggled to find somewhere to have dinner, luckily I was able to book in at Bitter & Twisted. The food menu prices are very high… however, the meal was really tasty. I had the salmon and my partner had the Lamb Souvlaki. We both really enjoyed the meals. It was NYE so we stayed a while, the staff was welcoming and attentive - table service was ideal, as I’m pregnant so it would have been too crowded to constantly order at the bar. The music was good, and the atmosphere was lively! It was a lovely place to spend our NYE. I’ll definitely visit again when I am able to indulge in some cocktails. ☺️

Staff and food were lovely, Maybe a tad small for a quiet meal, would like to try again on a quieter evening.

Had a late breakfast in Bitter & Twisted this morning. Full English - fried eggs, toast, beans, hash browns, cherry tomatoes (lovely touch), mushrooms (beautifully cooked), sausage, bacon, black pudding - and the whole plate was superb. Particularly noteworthy were the sausages, bacon and especially the black pudding, all of which, in some places, can be a bit variable when you go out for breakfast. But not here. Exceptional, all of them. Chef obviously cares to source good ingredients, and it shows. Am now stuffed. Will be returning. Thank you, Chef.

We had the Christmas menu, just the mains. It was quite expensive and, honestly, the food was disappointing. The waitress admitted the potatoes were cooked in the morning and reheated so were tough, dry and horrible! The meat was overcooked and very dry and tasteless. The service was lovely and top rate and the atmosphere was good so go for a drink and a chat but not sure about the food!

Good place for a family brunch, it's a bit expensive than usual however the service was fantastic and they also had a good selection of beer on tap. The staff managed to sort out a table for 11 literally within 20mins and the food came out very quickly, but from the looks of it they seemed to have limited seating so best to call and book in advance. They have parking availability nearby that has a two hour limit but it was quite small. There are other parking spots available nearby too. This restaurant is dog friendly. I found the Sunday roast (turkey) was mediocre, it was probably down to my own expectations as it's the first time I've ate a roast but other people in my group gave good feedback. The sausage and mash was good, the steak also looked really good and their burgers are also quite chunky and flavourful. I would come back here to try out different burger options.

Very dog friendly indoors, and they serve food all day with no break/gap. We went at 3pm and had a great burger, with good beer and outstanding service.

Absolutely brilliant food. Stopped here on our way to the Fairyland Farm today and were pleaseantly surprised with the food as well as the overall vibe. The food was bursting with flavour, the staff very courteous and the vibe very serene.

I was greeted pleasantly and showed to the terrace outside overlooking the market and we planned to have lunch. Looked at the menu and for a burger alone £20-25. And it did not feel like a high end restaurant (where you might expect these high prices) more like standard pub grub. After we ordered drinks, I just got the vibe that it wasn’t going to be a great meal - so we decided to just have drinks and find somewhere else nearby for food. Our drinks were flat, but we weren’t really too bothered until we saw the bill. £10 for 2 soft drinks. I still cannot believe that it can cost £5 for a coke!

Called in for a quick pint whilst waiting to visit diddly squat farm. Prices were more expensive than we are use to but given where it's located I guess that's expected. Great staff and very welcoming we would definitely call here again.

Stopped here for a drink on the way to the cinema. The manager don’t know his name tall blonde guy was so accommodating very friendly and remarkable service after the cinema we wanted a kebab :-) and I asked him if he could give me £20 cash on my card and he did this guy is a star totally with it. Good luck to him go here for a drink or food it’s brilliant

Franken burger was terrible, don’t get it. Looks lovely but taste was awful and VERY EXPENSIVE. £30 per burger. Wife had hen burger which was fairly nice but still far too expensive.

Nice starter however main was mediocre nothing to write home about. I won’t be visiting here again very very expensive for what we had.

Called in for a late breakfast. Smoked kippers and scrambled eggs. Very nice, scrambled eggs were perfect.

Unexpected, and life saver dinner! We were part of an Audax, one of those British cycling challenges across the country, and after 200kms under the rain and cold, we ended up in Chipping Norton, when the night caught us. Looking for somewhere warm and where we could find some hot food, we knock at the door of Bitter & Twisted. Despite our appearance and our 4 bikes, the manager was amazingly welcoming and pleased us to enter and park our bikes on the terrace. They were already full with a lot of reservations, but we started to order few drinks and could stay in the corridor by the terrace. But then, the lovely staff came to us and said that a table could be available. We got the table, and 4 different but delicious burgers, and I loved that they had Beavertown beer on tap. We had a great break, good laughs, and thanks to this wonderful place we could cycle back to Oxford. We will remain thankful to this young manager and his team. This is what I call Hospitality.

Enjoyable food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are relatively good for the area and they cater well for those with allergies. The desert menu could do with being extended slightly to warrant a five star review, otherwise a nice evening.

Great little bar/ restaurant. 2 hour free parking right beside or across the road in the town square. Try their open beef sandwiches and locally brewed beer. Everything was really good.

Lovely little pub in the centre of town, great vegetarian selections and good food all round. The terrace out the back is a great place to be, outdoor dining with plenty of shade so you can fully enjoy.

Very good smoked haddock linguine. The steak was also good, but just comes with (generous amount of) chips - some mushrooms and grilled tomato would be nice for the price - menu option of rocket salad was declined (does anyone really like rocket??) The daily cocktail offer for £5 is great value.

Stayed the night close by. Popped in for some dinner. Food was incredible, highly recommend the salmon. staff were welcoming and a great service.

Having visited many times, last being 3 years ago we highly rated this place. Last night it was like walking into a youth club. A Rowdy table doing shots, chanting, shouting and smashing glasses seemed amusing entertainment for the young staff. We ordered drinks first but then decided we were not sitting among this especially as half the menu was missing. We asked to pay for our drinks and were not even questioned as to why we were leaving or if everything was ok after only been seated for 10 minutes Very disappointed and will never waste a Friday evening visiting this place. Especially as we drove from Cardiff and went home hungry. Experienced staff and a firm grip is needed as I think this place is slipping away.

Visited here today... Food was ok ..but nothing special and VERY expensive... Service was very good though with friendly staff.

Menu is a little basic but food is top notch. One star removed till the menu is revised but will definitely visit again.

The food saved the day... This pub rated highly on TripAdvisor and so we booked a table during our stay in Chippy. We were asked whether we'd like a table in the bar or the restaurant and we chose the restaurant. When we arrived, we were a bit worried as we walked into a rowdy bar atmosphere which didn't suggest a restaurant environment. We were showed to our table which was not in a separate area but just a corner of the bar. When they brought the standard menu, I thought we'd made a mistake in booking at this venue but then the specials menu saved the day. It was apparent that the kitchen employed a skilled chef and it was hard to choose between the offerings. We both went for the fried chicken burger, which they'd managed to make truly gourmet, and we upgraded to truffle and parmesan chips which were to die for. The food was first class; tasty and satisfying, without being pretentious. The staff were friendly and efficient. I'd definitely go again, but prepped to answer the bar/restaurant question with a causal 'whichever' as there really isn't a distinction...

It is a nice bar and kitchen with good service but the one word to sum it up is overpriced! Stopped here on our way back home in London. £10 for a toasted sandwich and a scraggly bit of salad leaves. Fries were extra at £7. Seriously, when you come from London and think the prices are expensive, then that says a lot!

Helpful staff with good value beers, especially the HPA. Plenty of room for walk in food and drinks. Great location.

Friendly staff but sadly didn't like decor (not traditional cotswolds) nor food which I felt tasteless (roast beef/chicken, hamburger. Tiny drab pizza.(she rated 2/10). Overcooked carrots. Side of greens for roast with broadbeans good though. Not cheap but not excess price.

I visited Chipping Norton recently and this is one of the places I shall revisit upon my return. Friendly staff and good beer.

Tiago was fantastic. He provided excellent service, plus the best attitude I’ve ever seen in a pub. He quickly responded to our needs, and made sure we were catered to. I was devastated to learn that he wasn’t single- I wish he could bear my children. 5 stars.

By far the best food I've had in a very long while! Well done to the chef! We booked for 7pm on Saturday and I'm glad we did as many were turned away. We were shown to our table and given the cocktail and food menu. Staff were all polite and attentive. We had 4 cocktails in total and all were fabulous. The starter was, in my opinion, one of the tastiest I've ever had. I chose smoked cheddar mac and cheese bites with a barbecue dip and they were delicious! My daughter had doughballs which were equally tasty. I then had the smoked salmon, lemon and spinach risotto and my daughter had the salmon and chorizo with mashed potato and peas. Both were extremely good. Finally my daughter had the sticky toffee pudding which she said was one of the best and was eaten all too quickly and we forgot to take the photo! Our bill was a little high but not unexpected. I wouldn't be eating out and spending this much on a regular basis but we were having a mother and daughter weekend away and it was well worth it. I cannot fault the service or the food and would certainly eat here again. I thoroughly recommend Bitter & Twisted! Well done to you all.

Overpriced food and service was sub optimal with no communication on the waiting time, which was almost 1hr from the time it was ordered. Would not go back or recommend in any capacity.

Great breakfast, good coffee, slightly on the expensive side (£10 for bacon and scrambled eggs), reassuringly strict about COVID Subsequent visits for dinner - Olives took 30 minutes to arrive, dInner an hour, a second drink I had to go and find a member of staff - and breakfast one drinks order and never came back to ask about food, so now a star off for prices and another for service

A nice pub with outside seating definitely draws a younger group of drinkers on Friday evening.

The name of this cocktail is Very berry, but i wanted to be made different than is on the menu. This cocktail is made with coconut Rum and vanilla shot. Amazing combination. I loved the open mind of the blonde semi-long hair guy from the bar.

Very busy and understaffed due to Pingdemic. Pleasant staff but overwhelmed. Drinks reasonably priced. Opted against food due to the wait time. Would try again when not so busy.

Nipped in for a coffee to avoid the rain! Coffee was ok, but the brownie was amazing!! Considering it was during the morning, it wasn't too clean - the floor looked as if it had remnants of the previous night under the table!!

The burger wasn't just grilled, it was burnt to within an inch of its life. The whole thing was bone dry. Definitely not how a burger is supposed to be cooked. The burger itself is served with no salad and a small pot of "house sauce" which had no flavor. The only saving grace of the meal was the skin on chips. For £15 I definitely expected more. Not a burnt, dry burger with a small side of chips. Unfortunately it wasn't just the lack lustre food that inspired this one star review. The staff appeared miserable and took longer than necessary to come out with the card machine. Especially considering there was only 4 other tables occupied waiting felt unacceptable. I understand the hospitality industry has been hit hard due to the covid restrictions, however this doesn't excuse poor customer service and awful food. I wasn't shocked to walk round the opposite side of the building to find a staff wanted sign. Perhaps if staff were trained better there wouldn't be any need for this.

Visited there with my dad and his colleagues, 5 star service with a friendly manner from all staff especially Becky who I believe was serving us for the majority of the time, she was very attentive as was Chloe who I think was new, (did a very good job/couldn’t tell she was new). I would highly recommend, very nice atmosphere.

Amazing service, the food is absolutely spot on, 12/10 will dine again. Shout out to chef Luke for an amazing new menu.

Staff friendly and welcoming, I had a cheese burger which was cooked very well and chips were cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside However.... Atmosphere was dire, no music or conversation and chatter from other patrons, we felt like we had to be quiet. My girlfriend had an American hot pizza which was no better than a frozen supermarket pizza, greasy as hell and all the toppings would just slide off when you lifted a slice. Overpriced for the quality of the pizza and atmosphere. Maybe it was just an off day for the chef.... maybe this is how it is.. Make your own decision about going

I went with my friends. I ordered a burger which is okay... my husband ordered a steak but it’s burned and tasted bitter. My friend ordered a spaghetti but it’s very dry! It costed £89 for for dishes but it didn’t worth that much. If foods were delicious the price was okay but they weren’t. Won’t go there any more.
