This was our first visit to the Moorland Cafe despite only living 2 minutes away and we were very delighted we did! Most beautiful views over the South Hams towards the south Devon coast, the venue was spotlessly clean and well organised, very welcoming Team and a great menu with something for everyone, will definitely be returning

Absolutely fantastic New Years Eve at Bar 1620. Wonderful cosy atmosphere, really friendly staff and great music. An extra thanks to Luke behind the bar…..what a lovely guy. Look forward to visiting again.

Popped in for Lunch whilst visiting Dartmouth and glad we found this Bistro The food was excellent and reasonably priced I had mixed seafood and it was lovely very nice place and pretty busy & we offered to shared our table with a couple of strangers and soon good chatting and having a great time, The owner appreciated us sharing the table as brought in a couple more customers who would otherwise have gone elsewhere, nice if others do the same - you never know you may get on and meet some lovely people will certainly return here the next time we go to Dartmouth

The made-to-order take away sandwiches from here are made with quality ingredients, and very well filled, probably actually overfilled. The issue I have with them though is they are sometimes not made with as much care as they could be, even in the quiet season. It seems to me that the staff are instructed to put a certain amount of, say, salami in, etc, but this is put in straight from the packet without it being separated so you find yourself biting through a slab of meat rather than it being nicely separated and spread throughout the sandwich. In a similar way the cheese (especially the brie) is often sliced too thickly. I genuinely think that less could be more, with the sandwiches being better for having slightly less filling but made with more care. A win-win for customer and owner is there for the taking.
